And when you divorce women and they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms, and do not keep them, intending harm, to transgress [against them]. And whoever does that has certainly wronged himself. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest. And remember the favor of Allah upon you and what has been revealed to you of the Book and wisdom by which He instructs you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Knowing of all things.
Jab tum aurton ko tallaq do aur woh apni iddat khatam kerney per aayen to abb enehn achi tarah basao ya bhalaee kay sath alag ker do aur enhen takleef phonchaney ki gharaz say zulm-o-ziyadti kay liye na roko jo shaks aisa keray uss ney apni jaan per zulm kiya. Tum Allah kay ehkaam ko hansi khel na banao aur Allah kay ehsan jo tum per hai yaad kero aur jo kuch kiab-o-hikmat uss ney nazil farmaee hai jiss say tumehn naseehat ker raha hai ussay bhi. Aur Allah Taalaa say dartay raha kero aur jaan rakho kay Allah Taalaa her cheez ko janta hai.
और जब तुम औरतों को तलाक़ दे दो फिर वे अपनी इद्दत को पहुँच जाएं तो उनको क़ायदे के मुताबिक़ रख लो, या क़ायदे के मुताबिक़ रुख़्सत कर दो, और तकलीफ़ पहुँचाने की ग़र्ज़ से न रोको ताकि उन पर ज़्यादती करो, और जो ऐसा करेगा उसने दर-हक़ीक़त अपना ही बुरा किया, और अल्लाह की आयतों को मज़ाक़ (का ज़रिया) न बनाओ, और याद करो अपने ऊपर अल्लाह की नेमत को और उस किताब व हिकमत को जो उसने तुम्हारी नसीहत के लिए उतारी है, और अल्लाह से डरो और जान लो कि अल्लाह हर चीज़ को ख़ूब जानने वाला है।
They are not [all] the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer].
Yeh saray kay saray yaksan nahi bulkay inn ehal-e-kitab mein aik jamat ( haq per ) qaeem rehney wali bhi hai jo raaton kay waqt bhi kalam ullah ki tilawat kertay hain aur sajday bhi kertay hain.
सब अहले-किताब एक जैसे नहीं, उनमें एक गिरोह अहद पर क़ायम है, वे रातों को अल्लाह की आयतें पढ़ते हैं और सज्दा करते हैं।
And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them. Indeed Allah will gather the hypocrites and disbelievers in Hell all together -
Aur Allah Taalaa tumharay pass apni kitab mein yeh hukum utaar chuka hai kay tum jab kissi majlis walon ko Allah Taalaa ki aayaton kay sath kufur kertay aur mazaq uratay huye suno to uss majmay mein unn kay sath na betho! Jab tak kay woh iss kay ilawa aur baaten na kerney lagen ( werna ) tum bhi uss waqt unhi jaisay ho yaqeenan Allah Taalaa tamam kafiron aur sab munafiqon ko jahannum mein jama kerney wala hai.
और अल्लाह किताब में तुम पर यह हुक्म उतार चुका है कि जब तुम सुनो कि अल्लाह की निशानियों का इनकार किया जा रहा है और उनका मज़ाक़ उड़ाया जा रहा है तो तुम उनके साथ न बैठो यहाँ तक कि वे दूसरी बात में मशग़ूल हो जाएं वर्ना तुम भी उन्हीं जैसे हो गए, अल्लाह मुनाफ़िक़ों को और काफ़िरों को जहन्नम में एक जगह इकट्ठा करने वाला है।
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom.
Aur inn kay pass koi nishani bhi unn kay rab ki nishaniyon mein say nahi aati magar woh iss say aeyraaz hi kertay hain.
और उनके रब की निशानियों में से जो भी निशानी उनके पास आती है तो वे उस से मुँह मोड़ लेते हैं।
Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting."
Kiya yeh log sirf iss amar kay muntazir hain kay inn kay pass farishtay aayen ya inn kay pass aap ka rab aaye ya aap kay rab ki koi ( bari ) nishani aaye? Jiss roz aap kay rab ki koi bari nishani aa phoncya gi kissi aisay shaks ka eman uss kay kaam na aaye ga jo pehlay say eman nahi rakhta. Ya uss ney apney eman mein koi nek amal na kiya ho. Aap farma dijiye kay tum muntazir raho hum bhi muntazir hain.
क्या ये लोग इसके मुंतज़िर हैं कि उनके पास फ़रिश्ते आएं या आपका रब आए या आपके रब की निशानियों में से कोई निशानी ज़ाहिर हो? जिस दिन आपके रब की निशानियों में से कोई निशानी आ पहुँचेगी तो किसी शख़्स को उसका ईमान लाना नफ़ा न देगा जो पहले ईमान न ला चुका हो या अपने ईमान में कुछ नेकी न की हो, कह दीजिए कि तुम भी इन्तिज़ार करो हम भी इन्तिज़ार कर रहे हैं।

क्या ये लोग इसके मुंतज़िर हैं कि उनके पास फ़रिश्ते आएं या आपका रब आए या आपके रब की निशानियों में से कोई निशानी ज़ाहिर हो? जिस दिन आपके रब की निशानियों में से कोई निशानी आ पहुँचेगी तो किसी शख़्स को उसका ईमान लाना नफ़ा न देगा जो पहले ईमान न ला चुका हो या अपने ईमान में कुछ नेकी न की हो, कह दीजिए कि तुम भी इन्तिज़ार करो हम भी इन्तिज़ार कर रहे हैं।
O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.
Aey aadam ( alh-e-salam ) ki aulad hum ney tumharay liye libas peda kiya jo tumhari sharamgahon ko bhi chupata hai aur mojib-e-zeenat bhi hai aur taqway ka libas yeh iss say barh ker hai. Yeh Allah Taalaa ki nishaniyon mein say hai takay yeh log yaad rakhen.
ऐ आदम की औलाद! हमने तुम पर लिबास उतारा जो तुम्हारी शर्मगाहों को ढाँके और ज़ीनत भी, और तक़वे का लिबास उससे भी बेहतर है, यह अल्लाह की निशानियों में से है ताकि लोग ग़ौर करें।
And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah . He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray - never will you find for him a protecting guide.
Aap dekhen gay kay aftab ba-waqt tuloo unn kay ghaar say dayne janob ko jhuk jata hai aur ba-waqt-e-ghuroob unn kay bayen janib katra jata hai aur woh iss ghaar ki kushada jaga mein hain. Yeh Allah ki nishaniyon mein say hai. Allah Taalaa jiss ki raahbari farmaye woh raah-e-raast per hai aur jissay woh gumraah ker dey na mumkin hai kay aap uss ka koi kaar saaz aur rehnuma paa saken.
और तुम सूर्य को उस के उदित होते समय देखते तो दिखाई देता कि वह उन की गुफा से दाहिनी ओर को बचकर निकल जाता है और जब अस्त होता है तो उन की बाई ओर से कतराकर निकल जाता है। और वे हैं कि उस (गुफा) के एक विस्तृत स्थान में है। यह अल्लाह की निशानियों में से है। जिसे अल्लाह मार्ग दिखाए, वही मार्ग पाने वाला है और जिसे वह भटकता छोड़ दे उस का तुम कोई सहायक मार्गदर्शक कदापि न पाओगे
And never let them avert you from the verses of Allah after they have been revealed to you. And invite [people] to your Lord. And never be of those who associate others with Allah .
Khayal rakhiye kay yeh kufaar aap ko Allah Taalaa ki aayaton ki tableegh say rok na den iss kay baad kay yeh aap ki janib utari gaeen to apnay rab ki taraf bulatay rahen aur shirk kerney walon mein say na hon.
और वे तुम्हें अल्लाह की आयतों से रोक न पाएँ, इस के पश्चात कि वे तुम पर अवतरित हो चुकी है। और अपने रब की ओर बुलाओ और बहुदेववादियों में कदापि सम्मिलित न होना
And remember what is recited in your houses of the verses of Allah and wisdom. Indeed, Allah is ever Subtle and Acquainted [with all things].
Aur tumharay gharon mein Allah ki jo aayaten aur rasool ki jo aahdees parhi jati hain unn ka zikar kerti raho yaqeenan Allah Taalaa lutf kerney wala khabar daar hai.
तुम्हारे घरों में अल्लाह की जो आयतें और तत्वदर्शिता की बातें सुनाई जाती है उन की चर्चा करती रहो। निश्चय ही अल्लाह अत्यन्त सूक्ष्मदर्शी, खबर रखने वाला है
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
Aur inn kay pass to inn kay rab ki nishaniyon mein say koi nishani aisi nahi aati jiss say yeh bey rukhi na barattay hon.
उन के पास उन के रब की आयतों में से जो आयत भी आती है, वे उस से कतराते ही हैं
And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, "Did there not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the word of punishment has come into effect upon the disbelievers.
Kafiron kay ghol kay ghol jahannum ki taraf hankaye jayen gay jab woh uss kay pass phonch jayen gay uss kay darwazay unn kay liye khol diye jayen gay aur wahan kay nigehbaan unn say sawal keren gay kay kiya tumharay pass tum mein say rasool nahi aaye thay? Jo tum per tumharay rab ki aayaten parhtay thay aur tumhen uss din ki mulaqat say daratay thay? Yeh jawab den gay kay haan durust hai lekin azab ka hukum kafiron per sabit hogaya.
जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया, वे गिरोह के गिरोह जहन्नम की ओर ले जाए जाएँगे, यहाँ तक कि जब वे वहाँ पहुँचेंगे तो उस के द्वार खोल दिए जाएँगे और उस के प्रहरी उन से कहेंगे, "क्या तुम्हारे पास तुम्हीं में से रसूल नहीं आए थे जो तुम्हें तुम्हारे रब की आयतें सुनाते रहे हों और तुम्हें इस दिन की मुलाक़ात से सचेत करते रहे हों?" वे कहेंगे, "क्यों नहीं (वे तो आए थे) ।" किन्तु इनकार करने वालों पर यातना की बात सत्यापित होकर रही
No one disputes concerning the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so be not deceived by their [uninhibited] movement throughout the land.
Allah Taalaa ki aayaton mein wohi log jhagartay hain jo kafir hain pus inn logon ka shehron mein chalna phirna aap ko dhokay mein na daal day.
अल्लाह की आयतों के बारे में बस वही लोग झगड़ते हैं जिन्होंने इनकार किया, तो नगरों में उस की चलत-फिरत तुम्हें धोखे में न डाले
Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.
Jo baghair kissi sanad kay jo inn kay pass aaee ho Allah ki aayaton mein jhagartay hain Allah kay nazdeek aur momino kay nazdeek yeh to boht bari narazgi ki cheez hai Allah Taalaa issi tarah her aik maghroor sirkash kay dil per mohar ker deta hai.
ऐसे लोगो को (गुमराही में डालता है) जो अल्लाह की आयतों में झगड़ते हैं, बिना इस के कि उन के पास कोई प्रमाण आया हो, अल्लाह की दृष्टि में और उन लोगों की दृष्टि में जो ईमान लाए यह (बात) अत्यन्त अप्रिय है। इसी प्रकार अल्लाह हर अहंकारी, निर्दय- अत्याचारी के दिल पर मुहर लगा देता है। -
Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without [any] authority having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allah . Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.
Jo log bawajood apnay pass kissi sanad kay na honay kay aayat-e-elahee mein jhagra kertay hain unn kay dilon mein ba-juz nirri baraee kay aur kuch nahi woh uss tak phonchney walay hi nahi so tu Allah ki panah mangta reh be-shak woh poora sunnay wala aur sab say ziyadah dekhney wala hai.
जो लोग बिना किसी ऐसे प्रमाण के जो उन के पास आया हो अल्लाह की आयतों में झगड़ते हैं उन के सीनों में केवल अहंकार है जिस तक वे पहुँचने वाले नहीं। अतः अल्लाह की शरण लो। निश्चय ही वह सुनता, देखता है
Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted?
Kiya tu ney unhen dekha jo Allah ki aayaton mein jhagartay hain woh kahan pher diyey jatay hain.
क्या तुम ने उन लोगों को नहीं देखा जो अल्लाह की आयतों के बारे में झगड़ते हैं, वे कहाँ फिरे जाते हैं?
And He shows you His signs. So which of the signs of Allah do you deny?
Allah tumhen apni nishaniyan dikhata jaraha hai pus tum Allah ki kin kin nishaniyon ka munkir bantay raho gay.
और वह तुम्हें अपनी निशानियाँ दिखाता है। आख़िर तुम अल्लाह की कौन-सी निशानी को नहीं पहचानते?
Who hears the verses of Allah recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.
Jo aayaten Allah ki apnay samney parhi jati hui sunay phir bhi ghuroor kerta hua iss tarah ara rahey kay goya suni hi nahi to aisay logon ko dard-naak azab ki khabar ( phoncha ) dijiye.
जो अल्लाह की उन आयतों को सुनता है जो उसे पढ़कर सुनाई जाती हैं। फिर घमंड के साथ अपनी (इनकार की) नीति पर अड़ा रहता है मानो उस ने उन को सुना ही नहीं। अतः उसको दुखद यातना की शुभ सूचना दे दो
That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [ Allah ].
Yeh iss liye hain kay tum ney Allah Taalaa ki aayaton ki hansi uraee thi aur duniya ki zindagi ney tumhen dhokay mein daal rakha tha pus aaj kay din na to yeh ( dozakh ) say nikalen jayen gay aur na unn say uzar-o-maazrat qabool kiya jayega.
यह इस कारण कि तुम ने अल्लाह की आयतों की हँसी उड़ाई थी और सांसारिक जीवन ने तुम्हें धोखे में डाले रखा।" अतः आज वे न तो उस से निकाले जाएँगे और न उन से यह चाहा जाएगा कि वे किसी उपाय से (अल्लाह के) प्रकोप को दूर कर सकें
He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.
Yaqeenan uss ney apney rab ki bari bari nishaniyon mein say baaz nishaniyan dekha len.
निश्चय ही उस ने अपने रब की बड़ी-बड़ी निशानियाँ देखीं
[He sent] a Messenger [Muhammad] reciting to you the distinct verses of Allah that He may bring out those who believe and do righteous deeds from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness - He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever. Allah will have perfected for him a provision.
( yani ) rasool jo tumhen Allah kay saaf saaf ehkaam parh ker sunata hai takay unn logon ko jo eman layen aur nek amal keren woh tareekiyon say roshni ki taraf ley aaye aur jo shaks Allah per eman laye aur nek amal keray Allah ussay aisi jannaton mein dakhil keray ga jiss kay neechay nehren jari hain jin mein yeh hamesha hamesha rahen gay. Be-shak Allah ney ussay behtareen rozi dey rakhi hai.
(अर्थात) एक रसूल जो तुम्हें अल्लाह की स्पष्ट आयतें पढ़कर सुनाता है, ताकि वह उन लोगों को, जो ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छे कर्म किए, अँधेरों से निकाल कर प्रकाश की ओर ले आए। जो कोई अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए और अच्छा कर्म करे, उसे वह ऐसे बाग़़ों में दाख़िल करेगा जिन के नीचे नहरें बह रही होगी - ऐसे लोग उन में सदैव रहेंगे - अल्लाह ने उन के लिए उत्तम रोज़ी रखी है
