In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts
Dil khush kun chalti hawaon ki qasam
साक्षी हैं वे (हवाएँ) जिनकी चोटी छोड़ दी जाती है
And the winds that blow violently
Phir zor say jhonka denay walion ki qasam
फिर ख़ूब तेज़ हो जाती है,
And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]
Phir ( abar ko ) ubhaar ker peraganda kernay waliyon ki qasam
और (बादलों को) उठाकर फैलाती है,
And those [angels] who bring criterion
Phir haq o batil ko joda joda kerdenay walay
फिर मामला करती है अलग-अलग,
And those [angels] who deliver a message
Aur wahee laanay walay farishton ki qasam
फिर पेश करती है याददिहानी
As justification or warning,
Jo ( wahee ) ilzaam utarnay ya aggah kerdenay kay liey hoti hai
इल्ज़ाम उतारने या चेतावनी देने के लिए,
Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.
Jiss cheez ka tum saywada kiya jata hai wo yaqeenan honay wali hai
निस्संदेह जिस का वादा तुम से किया जा रहा है वह निश्चित ही घटित होकर रहेगा
So when the stars are obliterated
Pus jab sitary be nor kerdiey jaeingay
अतः जब तारे विलुप्त (प्रकाशहीन) हो जाएँगे,
And when the heaven is opened
Aur jab aasman tor phor diya jaey ga
और जब आकाश फट जाएगा
And when the mountains are blown away
Aur jab pahar tukray tukray kerdkay ura diya jaeyga
और पहाड़ चूर्ण-विचूर्ण होकर बिखर जाएँगे;
And when the messengers' time has come...
Aur jab rasoolon ko waqat muqarrara per laya jaeyga
और जब रसूलों का हाल यह होगा कि उन का समय नियत कर दिया गया होगा -
For what Day was it postponed?
Kiss din kay liey ( in sab ko ) mo akkhir kiya gaya hai
किस दिन के लिए वे टाले गए हैं?
For the Day of Judgement.
Faislay kay din kay liey
फ़ैसले के दिन के लिए
And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?
Aur tujhay kiya maloom kay faislay ka din kiya hai?
और तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि वह फ़ैसले का दिन क्या है? -
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din jhutlanay walon ki kharabi hai
तबाही है उस दिन झूठलाने-वालों की!
Did We not destroy the former peoples?
Kiya hum ney aglon ko halak nahi kiya?
क्या ऐसा नहीं हुआ कि हम ने पहलों को विनष्ट किया?
Then We will follow them with the later ones.
Phir hum inkay baad peechlon ko laey
फिर उन्हीं के पीछे बाद वालों को भी लगाते रहे?
Thus do We deal with the criminals.
Hum gunehgaron kay sath issi tarah kertay hein
अपराधियों के साथ हम ऐसा ही करते हैं
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din jhutlanay walon kay liey wail ( afsos ) hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालो की!
Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?
Kiya hum ney tumhein haqeer paani say ( money say ) peda nahi kiya
क्या ऐसा नहीं है कि हम ने तुम्हें तुच्छ जल से पैदा किया,
And We placed it in a firm lodging
Phir hum ney ussay mazboot o mehfooz jaga mein rakha
फिर हम ने उसे एक सुरक्षित टिकने की जगह रखा,
For a known extent.
Aik muqarrara waqat tak
एक ज्ञात और निश्चित अवधि तक?
And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.
Phir hum ney andaza kiya aur hum kiya khoob andaza kernay walay hein
फिर हम ने अन्दाजा ठहराया, तो हम क्या ही अच्छा अन्दाज़ा ठहराने वाले हैं
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din takzeeb kernay walon ki kharabi hai
तबाही है उस दिन झूठलाने वालों की!
Have We not made the earth a container
KIya hum ney zameen ko sametnay wali nahi banaya?
क्या ऐसा नहीं है कि हम ने धरती को समेट रखने वाली बनाया,
Of the living and the dead?
Zindon ko bhi aur murdon ko bhi
ज़िन्दों को भी और मुर्दों को भी,
And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.
Aur hum ney iss mein buland o bhar pahar bana diey aur tum hein seraab kernay wala meetha paani pilaya
और उस में ऊँचे-ऊँचे पहाड़ जमाए और तुम्हें मीठा पानी पिलाया?
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din jhoot jannay walon kay liey waaye aur afsos hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालों की!
[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.
Uss dozakh ki taraf jao jissay tum jhutlatay rahey thay
चलो उस चीज़ की ओर जिसे तुम झुठलाते रहे हो!
Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns
Chalo teen shakhon waly saaye ki taraf
चलो तीन शाखाओं वाली छाया की ओर,
[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."
Jo dar asel na saaye denay wala hai aur na sholay say bacha sakhta hai
जिस में न छाँव है और न वह अग्नि-ज्वाला से बचा सकती है
Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,
yaqeenan dozakh chingariyan phenkti hai jo misil mehal kay hein
निस्संदेह वे (ज्वालाएँ) महल जैसी (ऊँची) चिंगारियाँ फेंकती हैं
As if they were yellowish [black] camels.
Goya kay who zard unt hain
मानो वे पीले ऊँट हैं!
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Aaj in jhot jannay walon ki durgat hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालों की!
This is a Day they will not speak,
Aaj ( ka din ) wo din hai yeh bol bhi na sakein gay
यह वह दिन है कि वे कुछ बोल नहीं रहे हैं,
Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.
Na unhen maazrat ki ijazat di jaeygi
तो कोई उज़्र पेश करें, (बात यह है कि) उन्हें बोलने की अनुमति नहीं दी जा रही है
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din jhutlanay walon ki kharabi hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालों की
This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.
Yeh hai faislay ka din hum ney tumhein aur aglon ko sab ko jama kerliya hai
"यह फ़ैसले का दिन है, हम ने तुम्हें भी और पहलों को भी इकट्ठा कर दिया
So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.
Pus agar tum mujh say koi chaal chal saktay hoto chal lo
"अब यदि तुम्हारे पास कोई चाल है तो मेरे विरुद्ध चलो।"
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Waaye hai uss din jhutlanay walon kay liey
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालो की!
Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs
Beshak perhezgar log sayon mein hein aur meethay chashmon mein
निस्संदेह डर रखने वाले छाँवों और स्रोतों में हैं,
And fruits from whatever they desire,
Aur unn mewon mein jin ki wo khawaish kerein
और उन फलों के बीच जो वे चाहे
[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
( aey jannatiyon! ) khao piyo mazay say apney kiey huey aamal kay badley
"खाओ-पियो मज़े से, उस कर्मों के बदले में जो तुम करते रहे हो।"
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
Yaqeenan hum neki kernay walon o iss tarah jaza detay hein
निश्चय ही उत्तमकारों को हम ऐसा ही बदला देते हैं
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din sacha na jannay walon kay liye wail ( afsos ) hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालों की!
[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.
( aey jhutlanay walon tum duniya mein ) thora sa khaloo aur faeeda uthalo beshak tum gunehgar ho
"खा लो और मज़े कर लो थोड़ा-सा, वास्तव में तुम अपराधी हो!"
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din jhutlanay walon kay liye sakht halakat hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालों की!
And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.
In say jab kaha jata hai kay rukoo kerlo to nahi kertay
जब उन से कहा जाता है कि "झुको! तो नहीं झुकते।"
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
Uss din jhutlanay walon ki tabbahi hai
तबाही है उस दिन झुठलाने वालों की!
