الفاظ ( مَّنْ )

یہ رسول ہیں جن میں سے ہم نے بعض کو بعض پر فضیلت دی ہے ، ان میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جن سے اللہ تعالٰی نے بات چیت کی ہے اور بعض کے درجے بلند کئے ہیں ، اور ہم نے عیسیٰ بن مریم کو معجزات عطا فرمائے اور روح القدس سے ان کی تائید کی اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو ان کے بعد والے اپنے پاس دلیلیں آجانے کے بعد ہرگز آپس میں لڑائی بھڑائی نہ کرتے ، لیکن ان لوگوں نے اختلاف کیا ، ان میں سے بعض تو مومن ہوئے اور بعض کافر ، اور اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو یہ آپس میں نہ لڑتے لیکن اللہ تعالٰی جو چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے ۔

Those messengers - some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Jesus, the Son of Mary, clear proofs, and We supported him with the Pure Spirit. If Allah had willed, those [generations] succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends.

یہ رسول ہیں جن میں سے ہم نے بعض کو بعض پر فضیلت دی ہے ، ان میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جن سے اللہ تعالٰی نے بات چیت کی ہے اور بعض کے درجے بلند کئے ہیں ، اور ہم نے عیسیٰ بن مریم کو معجزات عطا فرمائے اور روح القدس سے ان کی تائید کی اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو ان کے بعد والے اپنے پاس دلیلیں آجانے کے بعد ہرگز آپس میں لڑائی بھڑائی نہ کرتے ، لیکن ان لوگوں نے اختلاف کیا ، ان میں سے بعض تو مومن ہوئے اور بعض کافر ، اور اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو یہ آپس میں نہ لڑتے لیکن اللہ تعالٰی جو چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے ۔

یہ رسول ہیں جن میں سے ہم نے بعض کو بعض پر فضیلت دی ہے ، ان میں سے بعض وہ ہیں جن سے اللہ تعالٰی نے بات چیت کی ہے اور بعض کے درجے بلند کئے ہیں ، اور ہم نے عیسیٰ بن مریم کو معجزات عطا فرمائے اور روح القدس سے ان کی تائید کی اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو ان کے بعد والے اپنے پاس دلیلیں آجانے کے بعد ہرگز آپس میں لڑائی بھڑائی نہ کرتے ، لیکن ان لوگوں نے اختلاف کیا ، ان میں سے بعض تو مومن ہوئے اور بعض کافر ، اور اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو یہ آپس میں نہ لڑتے لیکن اللہ تعالٰی جو چاہتا ہے کرتا ہے ۔

اللہ تعالٰی نے تم سے اپنا وعدہ سچّا کر دکھایا جبکہ تم اس کے حکم سے انہیں کاٹ رہے تھے یہاں تک کہ جب تم نے پست ہمّتی اختیار کی اور کام میں جھگڑنے لگے اور نافرمانی کی ، اس کے بعد کہ اس نے تمہاری چاہت کی چیز تمہیں دکھا دی ، تم میں سے بعض دنیا چاہتے تھے اور بعض کا ارادہ آخرت کا تھا تو پھر اس نے تمہیں ان سے پھیر دیا تاکہ تم کو آزمائے اور یقیناً اس نے تمہاری لغزِش سے درگُزر فرمادیا اور ایمان والوں پر اللہ تعالٰی بڑے فضل والا ہے ۔

And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers.

اللہ تعالٰی نے تم سے اپنا وعدہ سچّا کر دکھایا جبکہ تم اس کے حکم سے انہیں کاٹ رہے تھے یہاں تک کہ جب تم نے پست ہمّتی اختیار کی اور کام میں جھگڑنے لگے اور نافرمانی کی ، اس کے بعد کہ اس نے تمہاری چاہت کی چیز تمہیں دکھا دی ، تم میں سے بعض دنیا چاہتے تھے اور بعض کا ارادہ آخرت کا تھا تو پھر اس نے تمہیں ان سے پھیر دیا تاکہ تم کو آزمائے اور یقیناً اس نے تمہاری لغزِش سے درگُزر فرمادیا اور ایمان والوں پر اللہ تعالٰی بڑے فضل والا ہے ۔

And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. اور یہ ہماری حجت تھی وہ ہم نے ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) کو ان کی قوم کے مقابلہ میں دی تھی ہم جس کو چاہتے ہیں مرتبوں میں بڑھا دیتے ہیں ۔ بےشک آپ کا رب بڑا حکمت والا بڑا علم والا ہے ۔

And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.

پس جب کبھی تو لڑائی میں ان پر غالب آجائے انہیں ایسی مار مار کہ ان کے پچھلے بھی بھاگ کھڑے ہوں ہو سکتا ہے کہ وہ عبرت حاصل کریں ۔

So if you, [O Muhammad], gain dominance over them in war, disperse by [means of] them those behind them that perhaps they will be reminded.

ان میں سے کوئی تو کہتا ہے مجھے اجازت دیجئے مجھے فتنے میں نہ ڈالیئے آگاہ رہو وہ فتنے میں پڑ چکے ہیں اور یقیناً دوزخ کافروں کو گھیر لینے والی ہے ۔

And among them is he who says, "Permit me [to remain at home] and do not put me to trial." Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen. And indeed, Hell will encompass the disbelievers.

ان میں وہ بھی ہیں جو خیراتی مال کی تقسیم کے بارے میں آپ پر عیب رکھتے ہیں اگر انہیں اس میں مل جائے تو خوش ہیں اور اگر اس میں سے نہ ملا تو فوراً ہی بگڑ کھڑے ہوئے ۔

And among them are some who criticize you concerning the [distribution of] charities. If they are given from them, they approve; but if they are not given from them, at once they become angry.

ان میں وہ بھی ہیں جنہوں نے اللہ سے عہد کیا تھا کہ اگر ہمیں اپنے فضل سے مال دے گا تو ہم ضرور صدقہ و خیرات کریں گے اور پکی طرح نیکوکاروں میں ہوجائیں گے ۔

And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah , [saying], "If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity, and we will surely be among the righteous."

اور ان میں سے بعض ایسے ہیں جو اس پر ایمان لے آئیں گے اور بعض ایسے ہیں کہ اس پر ایمان نہ لائیں گے ۔ اور آپ کا رب مُفسدوں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

And of them are those who believe in it, and of them are those who do not believe in it. And your Lord is most knowing of the corrupters

تم میں سے کسی کا اپنی بات کو چھپا کر کہنا اور بآواز بلند اسے کہنا اور جو رات کو چھپا ہوا ہو اور جو دن میں چل رہا ہو ، سب اللہ پر برابر و یکساں ہیں ۔

It is the same [to Him] concerning you whether one conceals [his] speech or one publicizes it and whether one is hidden by night or conspicuous [among others] by day.

ہم نے ہر امت میں رسول بھیجا کہ ( لوگو ) صرف اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور اس کے سوا تمام معبودوں سے بچو ۔ پس بعض لوگوں کو تو اللہ تعالٰی نے ہدایت دی اور بعض پر گمراہی ثابت ہوگئی پس تم خود زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھ لو جھٹلانے والوں کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا؟

And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.

لوگو! اگر تمہیں مرنے کے بعد جی اٹھنے میں شک ہے تو سوچو ہم نے تمہیں مٹی سے پیدا کیا پھر نطفہ سے پھر خون بستہ سے پھر گوشت کے لوتھڑے سے جو صورت دیا گیا تھا اور وہ بے نقشہ تھا یہ ہم تم پر ظاہر کر دیتے ہیں اور ہم جسے چاہیں ایک ٹھہرائے ہوئے وقت تک رحم مادر میں رکھتے ہیں پھر تمہیں بچپن کی حالت میں دنیا میں لاتے ہیں پھر تاکہ تم اپنی پوری جوانی کو پہنچو ، تم میں سے بعض تو وہ ہیں جو فوت کر لئے جاتے ہیں اور بعض بے غرض عمر کی طرف پھر سے لوٹا دئیے جاتے ہیں کہ وہ ایک چیز سے باخبر ہونے کے بعد پھر بے خبر ہو جائے تو دیکھتا ہے کہ زمین ( بنجر اور ) خشک ہے پھر جب ہم اس پر بارشیں برساتے ہیں تو وہ ابھرتی ہے اور پھولتی ہے اور ہر قسم کی رونق دار نباتات اگاتی ہے ۔

O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی بادلوں کو چلاتا ہے پھر انہیں ملاتا ہے پھر انہیں تہ بہ تہ کر دیتا ہے پھر آپ دیکھتے ہیں کہ ان کے درمیان میں سے مینہ برستا ہے ۔ وہی آسمانوں کی جانب سےاولوں کے پہاڑ میں سے اولے برساتا ہے پھر جنہیں چاہے ان کے پاس انہیں برسائے اور جن سے چاہے ان سے انہیں ہٹا دے بادل ہی سے نکلنے والی بجلی کی چمک ایسی ہوتی ہے کہ گویا اب آنکھوں کی روشنی لے چلی ۔

Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightening almost takes away the eyesight.

تمام کے تمام چلنے پھرنے والے جانداروں کو اللہ تعالٰی ہی نے پانی سے پیدا کیا ہے ان میں سے بعض تو اپنے پیٹ کے بل چلتے ہیں بعض دو پاؤں پر چلتے ہیں ، بعض چارپاؤں پر چلتے ہیں اللہ تعالٰی جو چاہتا ہے پیدا کرتا ہے بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Allah has created every [living] creature from water. And of them are those that move on their bellies, and of them are those that walk on two legs, and of them are those that walk on four. Allah creates what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

پھر تو ہر ایک کو ہم نے اس کے گناہ کے وبال میں گرفتار کر لیا ان میں سے بعض پر ہم نے پتھروں کا مینہ برسایا اور ان میں سے بعض کو زور دار سخت آواز نے دبوچ لیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے ڈبو دیا اللہ تعالٰی ایسا نہیں کہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ یہی لوگ اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے ۔

So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.

پھر تو ہر ایک کو ہم نے اس کے گناہ کے وبال میں گرفتار کر لیا ان میں سے بعض پر ہم نے پتھروں کا مینہ برسایا اور ان میں سے بعض کو زور دار سخت آواز نے دبوچ لیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے ڈبو دیا اللہ تعالٰی ایسا نہیں کہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ یہی لوگ اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے ۔

پھر تو ہر ایک کو ہم نے اس کے گناہ کے وبال میں گرفتار کر لیا ان میں سے بعض پر ہم نے پتھروں کا مینہ برسایا اور ان میں سے بعض کو زور دار سخت آواز نے دبوچ لیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے ڈبو دیا اللہ تعالٰی ایسا نہیں کہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ یہی لوگ اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے ۔

پھر تو ہر ایک کو ہم نے اس کے گناہ کے وبال میں گرفتار کر لیا ان میں سے بعض پر ہم نے پتھروں کا مینہ برسایا اور ان میں سے بعض کو زور دار سخت آواز نے دبوچ لیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور ان میں سے بعض کو ہم نے ڈبو دیا اللہ تعالٰی ایسا نہیں کہ ان پر ظلم کرے بلکہ یہی لوگ اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے ۔

And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.

اور زندے اور مردے برابر نہیں ہو سکتے اللہ تعالٰی جس کو چاہتا ہے سنا دیتا ہے اور آپ ان لوگوں کو نہیں سنا سکتے جو قبروں میں ہیں ۔

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.

اگر آپ ان سے پوچھیں کہ آسمان و زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا ہے؟ تو یقیناً وہ یہی جواب دیں گے کہ اللہ نے ۔ آپ ان سے کہئیے کہ اچھا یہ تو بتاؤ جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو اگر اللہ تعالٰی مجھے نقصان پہنچانا چاہے تو کیا یہ اس کے نقصان کو ہٹا سکتے ہیں؟ یا اللہ تعالٰی مجھ پر مہربانی کا ارادہ کرے تو کیا یہ اس کی مہربانی کو روک سکتے ہیں؟ آپ کہہ دیں کہ اللہ مجھے کافی ہے ، توکل کرنے والے اسی پر توکل کرتے ہیں ۔

And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, " Allah ." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah ? If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allah ; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."

وہ وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں مٹی سے پھر نطفے سے پھر خون کے لوتھڑے سے پیدا کیا پھر تمہیں بچہ کی صورت میں نکالتا ہے ، پھر ( تمہیں بڑھاتا ہے کہ ) تم اپنی پوری قوت کو پہنچ جاؤ پھر بوڑھے ہو جاؤ تم میں سے بعض اس سے پہلے ہی فوت ہو جاتے ہیں ( وہ تمہیں چھوڑ دیتا ہے ) تاکہ تم مدت معین تک پہنچ جاؤ اور تاکہ تم سوچ سمجھ لو ۔

It is He who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot; then He brings you out as a child; then [He develops you] that you reach your [time of] maturity, then [further] that you become elders. And among you is he who is taken in death before [that], so that you reach a specified term; and perhaps you will use reason.

یقیناً ہم آپ سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول بھیج چکے ہیں جن میں سے بعض کے ( واقعات ) ہم آپ کو بیان کر چکے ہیں اور ان میں سے بعض کے ( قصے ) تو ہم نے آپ کو بیان ہی نہیں کئے اور کسی رسول کا یہ ( مقدور ) نہ تھا کہ کوئی معجزہ اللہ کی اجازت کے بغیر لا سکے پھر جس وقت اللہ کا حکم آئے گا حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیا جائے گا اور اس جگہ اہل باطل خسارے میں رہ جائیں گے ۔

And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah . So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all].

یقیناً ہم آپ سے پہلے بھی بہت سے رسول بھیج چکے ہیں جن میں سے بعض کے ( واقعات ) ہم آپ کو بیان کر چکے ہیں اور ان میں سے بعض کے ( قصے ) تو ہم نے آپ کو بیان ہی نہیں کئے اور کسی رسول کا یہ ( مقدور ) نہ تھا کہ کوئی معجزہ اللہ کی اجازت کے بغیر لا سکے پھر جس وقت اللہ کا حکم آئے گا حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کر دیا جائے گا اور اس جگہ اہل باطل خسارے میں رہ جائیں گے ۔

And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah . So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all].

بیشک جو لوگ ہماری آیتوں میں کج روی کرتے ہیں وہ ( کچھ ) ہم سے مخفی نہیں ( بتلاؤ تو ) جو آگ میں ڈالا جائے وہ اچھا ہے یا وہ جو امن و امان کے ساتھ قیامت کے دن آئے؟ تم جو چاہو کرتے چلے جاؤ وہ تمہارا سب کیا کرایا دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.

کیا تم اس بات سے بے خوف ہوگئے ہو کہ آسمانوں والا تمہیں زمین میں نہ دھنسا دے اور اچانک زمین لرزنے لگے ۔

Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you and suddenly it would sway?

یا کیا تم اس بات سے نڈر ہوگئے ہو کہ آسمانوں والا تم پر پتھر برسادے؟ پھر تمہیں معلوم ہو ہی جائے گا کہ میرا ڈرانا کیسا تھا ۔

Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones? Then you would know how [severe] was My warning.
