الفاظ ( عَاقِبَةُ )

تم سے پہلے بھی ایسے واقعات گُزر چکے ہیں ، سُو زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھ لو کہ ( آسمانی تعلیم کے ) جُھٹلانے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا؟

Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied.

آپ فرما دیجئے کہ ذرا زمین میں چلو پھرو پھر دیکھ لو کہ تکذیب کرنے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا ۔

Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers."

آپ یہ فرما دیجئے اے میری قوم! تم اپنی حالت پر عمل کرتے رہو میں بھی عمل کر رہا ہوں سو اب جلد ہی تم کو معلوم ہوا جاتا ہے کہ اس عالم کا انجام کار کس کے لئے نافع ہوگا ۔ یہ یقینی بات ہے کہ حق تلفی کرنے والوں کو کبھی فلاح نہ ہوگی ۔

Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed.

اور ہم نے ان پر خاص طرح کا مینہ برسایا پس دیکھو تو سہی ان مجرموں کا انجام کیسا ہوا؟

And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals.

اور تم سڑکوں پر اس غرض سے مت بیٹھا کرو کہ اللہ پر ایمان لانے والوں کو دھمکیاں دو اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکو اور اس میں کجی کی تلاش میں لگے رہو اور اس حالت کو یاد کرو جب تم کم تھے پھر اللہ نے تم کو زیادہ کر دیا اور دیکھو کہ کیسا انجام ہوا فساد کرنے والوں کا ۔

And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.

پھر ان کے بعد ہم نے موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کو اپنے دلائل دے کر فرعون اور اس کے امرا کے پاس بھیجا ، مگر ان لوگوں نے ان کا بالکل حق ادا نہ کیا ۔ سو دیکھئے ان مفسدوں کا کیا انجام ہوا ۔

Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters.

بلکہ ایسی چیز کی تکذ یب کر نے لگے جس کو اپنے احاطہ ، علمی میں نہیں لائے اور ہنوز ان کو اس کا اخیر نتیجہ نہیں ملا جو لوگ ان سے پہلے ہوئے ہیں اسی طرح انہوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھا ، سو دیکھ لیجئے ان ظالموں کا انجام کیسا ہوا ؟

Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge and whose interpretation has not yet come to them. Thus did those before them deny. Then observe how was the end of the wrongdoers.

سو وہ لوگ ان کو جھٹلاتے رہے پس ہم نے ان کو اور جو ان کے ساتھ کشتی میں تھے ان کو نجات دی اور ان کو جانشین بنایا اور جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا ان کو غرق کر دیا ۔ سو دیکھنا چاہیے کیسا انجام ہوا ان لوگوں کا جو ڈرائے جا چکے تھے ۔

And they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship and made them successors, and We drowned those who denied Our signs. Then see how was the end of those who were warned.

آپ سے پہلے ہم نے بستی والوں میں جتنے رسول بھیجے ہیں سب مرد ہی تھے جن کی طرف ہم وحی نازل فرماتے گئے ۔ کیا زمین میں چل پھر کر انہوں نے دیکھا نہیں کہ ان سے پہلے کے لوگوں کا کیسا کچھ انجام ہوا؟ یقیناً آخرت کا گھر پر ہیزگاروں کے لئے بہت ہی بہتر ہے کیا پھر بھی تم نہیں سمجھتے ۔

And We sent not before you [as messengers] except men to whom We revealed from among the people of cities. So have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? And the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah ; then will you not reason?

ہم نے ہر امت میں رسول بھیجا کہ ( لوگو ) صرف اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور اس کے سوا تمام معبودوں سے بچو ۔ پس بعض لوگوں کو تو اللہ تعالٰی نے ہدایت دی اور بعض پر گمراہی ثابت ہوگئی پس تم خود زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھ لو جھٹلانے والوں کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا؟

And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں کہ اگر ہم زمین میں ان کے پاؤں جما دیں تو یہ پوری پابندی سے نمازیں قائم کریں اور زکوٰتیں دیں اور اچھے کاموں کا حکم کریں اور برے کاموں سے منع کریں تمام کاموں کا انجام اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے ۔

[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give zakah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.

انہوں نے انکار کر دیا حالانکہ ان کے دل یقین کر چکے تھے صرف ظلم اور تکبر کی بنا پر پس دیکھ لیجئے کہ ان فتنہ پرداز لوگوں کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا ۔

And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters.

۔ ( اب ) دیکھ لے ان کے مکر کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہو ا ؟ کہ ہم نے ان کو اور ان کی قوم کو سب کو غارت کردیا ۔

Then look how was the outcome of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all.

کہہ دیجئے کہ زمین میں چل پھر کر ذرا دیکھو تو سہی کہ گنہگاروں کا کیسا انجام ہوا ؟

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals."

حضرت موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کہنے لگے میرا رب تعالٰی اسے خوب جانتا ہے جو اس کے پاس کی ہدایت لے کر آتا ہے اور جس کے لئے آخرت کا ( اچھا ) انجام ہوتا ہے یقیناً بے انصافوں کا بھلا نہ ہوگا ۔

And Moses said, "My Lord is more knowing [than we or you] of who has come with guidance from Him and to whom will be succession in the home. Indeed, wrongdoers do not succeed."

بالآخر ہم نے اسے اوراس کے لشکروں کو پکڑ لیا اور دریا برد کر دیا اب دیکھ لے کہ ان گنہگاروں کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا؟

So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.

کیا انہوں نے زمین میں چل پھر کر یہ نہیں دیکھا کہ ان سے پہلے لوگوں کا انجام کیسا ( برا ) ہو ؟ وہ ان سے بہت زیادہ توانا اور ( طاقتور ) تھے اور انہوں نے ( بھی ) زمین بوئی جوتی تھی اور ان سے زیادہ آباد کی تھی اور ان کے پاس ان کے رسول روشن دلائل لے کر آئے تھے یہ تو ناممکن تھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی ان پر ظلم کرتا لیکن ( دراصل ) وہ خود اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرتے تھے ۔

Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھو تو سہی کہ اگلوں کا انجام کیا ہوا جن میں اکثر لوگ مشرک تھے ۔

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah ].

اور جو ( شخص ) اپنے آپ کو اللہ کے تابع کر دے اور ہو بھی وہ نیکوکار یقیناً اس نے مضبوط کڑا تھام لیا تمام کاموں کا انجام اللہ کی طرف ہے ۔

And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters.

اور کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں جس میں دیکھتے بھالتے کہ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں ان کا انجام کیا ہوا؟ حالانکہ وہ قوت میں ان سے بڑھے ہوئے تھے ، اور اللہ ایسا نہیں ہے کہ کوئی چیز اس کو ہرا دے نہ آسمانوں میں اور نہ زمین میں ۔ وہ بڑے علم والا ، بڑی قدرت والا ہے ۔

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.

اب تو دیکھ لے کہ جنہیں دھمکایا گیا تھا ان کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا ۔

Then look how was the end of those who were warned -

کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں کہ دیکھتے کہ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے ان کا نتیجہ کیسا کچھ ہوا؟ وہ با عتبار قوت و طاقت کے اور باعتبار زمین میں اپنی یادگاروں کے ان سے بہت زیادہ تھے ، پس اللہ نے انہیں ان گناہوں پر پکڑ لیا اور کوئی نہ ہوا جو انہیں اللہ کے عذاب سے بچا لیتا ۔

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector.

کیا انہوں نے زمین میں چل پھر کر اپنے سے پہلوں کا انجام نہیں دیکھا؟ جو ان سے تعداد میں زیادہ تھے قوت میں سخت اور زمین میں بہت ساری یادگاریں چھوڑی تھیں ان کے کئے کاموں نے انہیں کچھ بھی فائدہ نہ پہنچایا ۔

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn.

پس ہم نے ان سے انتقام لیا اور دیکھ لے جھٹلانے والوں کا کیسا انجام ہوا؟

So we took retribution from them; then see how was the end of the deniers.

کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں چل پھر کر اس کا معائنہ نہیں کیا کہ ان سے پہلے کے لوگوں کا نتیجہ کیا ہوا؟ اللہ نے انہیں ہلاک کر دیا اور کافروں کے لئے اس طرح کی سزائیں ہیں ۔

Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable.

پس انہوں نے اپنے کرتوت کا مزہ چکھ لیا اور انجام کار ان کا خسارہ ہی ہوا ۔

And it tasted the bad consequence of its affair, and the outcome of its affair was loss.
