الفاظ ( عَلَيْهِمْ )

یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی مومنوں سے خوش ہوگیا جبکہ وہ درخت تلے تجھ سے بیعت کر رہے تھے ان کے دلوں میں جو تھا اسے اس نے معلوم کرلیا اور ان پر اطمینان نازل فرمایا اور انہیں قریب کی فتح عنایت فرمائی ۔

Certainly was Allah pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you, [O Muhammad], under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity upon them and rewarded them with an imminent conquest

وہی ہے جس نے خاص مکہ میں کافروں کے ہاتھوں کو تم سے اور تمہارے ہاتھوں کو ان سے روک لیا اس کے بعد کہ اس نے تمہیں ان پر غلبہ دے دیا تھا اور تم جو کچھ کر رہے ہو اللہ تعالٰی اسے دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within [the area of] Makkah after He caused you to overcome them. And ever is Allah of what you do, Seeing.

یہ جو کچھ کہہ رہے ہیں ہم بخوبی جانتے ہیں اور آپ ان پر جبر کرنے والے نہیں ، تو آپ قرآن کے ذریعے انہیں سمجھاتے رہیں جو میرے وعید ( ڈراوے کے وعدوں ) سے ڈرتے ہیں ۔

We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.

تاکہ ہم ان پر مٹی کے کنکر برسائیں ۔

To send down upon them stones of clay,

اور ان کے ارد گرد ان کے نو عمر غلام پھر رہے ہونگے ، گویا کہ وہ موتی تھے جو ڈھکے رکھے تھے ۔

There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected.

ہم نے ان پر تیز و تند مسلسل چلنے والی ہوا ، ایک پیہم منحوس دن میں بھیج دی ۔

Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,

ہم نے ان پر ایک چیخ بھیجی پس ایسے ہوگئے جیسے باڑ بنانے والے کی روندی ہوئی گھاس ۔

Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.

بیشک ہم نے ان پر پتھر برسانے والی ہوا بھیجی سوائے لوط ( علیہ السلام ) کے گھر والوں کے ، انہیں ہم نے سحر کے وقت نجات دے دی ۔

Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn

ان کے پاس ایسے لڑکے جو ہمیشہ ( لڑکے ہی ) رہیں گے آمد و رفت کریں گے ۔

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

ان کے بعد پھر بھی ہم اپنے رسولوں کو پے درپے بھیجتے رہے اور ان کے بعد عیسیٰ بن مریم ( علیہ السلام ) کو بھیجا اور انہیں انجیل عطا فرمائی اور ان کے ماننے والوں کے دلوں میں شفقت اور رحم پیدا کر دیا ہاں رہبانیت ( ترک دنیا ) تو ان لوگوں نے از خود ایجاد کر لی تھی ہم نے ان پر اسے واجب نہ کیا تھا سوائے اللہ کی رضا جوئی کے ۔ سوا انہوں نے اس کی پوری رعایت نہ کی پھر بھی ہم نے ان میں سے جو ایمان لائے تھےانہیں ان کا اجر دیا اور ان میں زیادہ تر لو گ نافرمان ہیں ۔

Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah . But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

کیا تو نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا؟ جنہوں نے اس قوم سے دوستی کی جن پر اللہ غضبناک ہو چکا ہے نہ یہ ( منافق ) تمہارے ہی ہیں نہ ان کے ہیں باوجود علم کے پھر بھی جھوٹ پر قسمیں کھا رہے ہیں ۔

Have you not considered those who make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to untruth while they know [they are lying].

اے مسلمانو! تم اس قوم سے دوستی نہ رکھو جن پر اللہ کا غضب نازل ہو چکا ہے جو آخرت سے اس طرح مایوس ہو چکے ہیں جیسے کہ مردہ اہل قبر سے کافر نا امید ہیں ۔

O you who have believed, do not make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry. They have despaired of [reward in] the Hereafter just as the disbelievers have despaired of [meeting] the inhabitants of the graves.

وہی ہے جس نے ناخواندہ لوگوں میں ان ہی میں سے ایک رسول بھیجا جو انہیں اس کی آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتا ہے اور ان کو پاک کرتا ہے اور انہیں کتاب و حکمت سکھاتا ہے ۔ یقیناً یہ اس سے پہلے کھلی گمراہی میں تھے ۔

It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error -

جب آپ انہیں دیکھ لیں تو ان کے جسم آپ کو خوشنما معلوم ہوں یہ جب باتیں کرنے لگیں تو آپ ان کی باتوں پر ( اپنا ) کان لگائیں گویا کہ یہ لکڑیاں ہیں دیوار کے سہارے سےلگائی ہو ئیں ہر ( سخت ) آواز کو اپنے خلاف سمجھتے ہیں یہی حقیقی دشمن ہیں ان سے بچو اللہ انہیں غارت کرے کہاں سے پھرے جاتے ہیں ۔

And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?

ان کے حق میں آپکا استغفار کرنا اور نہ کرنا دونوں برابرہے اللہ تعالٰی انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ( ایسے ) نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

اے نبی! کافروں اور منافقوں سے جہاد کرو اور ان پر سختی کرو ان کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے اور وہ بہت بری جگہ ہے ۔

O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination.

جسے ان پر لگاتار سات رات اور آٹھ دن تک ( اللہ نے ) مسلط رکھا پس تم دیکھتے کہ یہ لوگ زمین پر اس طرح گر گئے جیسے کھجور کے کھوکھلے تنے ہوں ۔

Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

ان جنتوں کے سائے ان پر جھکے ہوئے ہونگے اور ان کے ( میوے اور ) گچھے نیچے لٹکا ئے ہوئے ہونگے ۔

And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance.

اور ان پر چاندی کے برتنوں اور ان جاموں کا دور کرایا جائے گا جو شیشے کے ہونگے ۔

And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass],

اور ان کے ارد گرد گھو متے پھرتے ہونگے وہ کم سن بچے جو ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں جب تو انہیں دیکھے تو سمجھے کہ وہ بکھرے ہوئے سچے موتی ہیں ۔

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls.

یہ ان پر پاسبان بنا کر تو نہیں بھیجے گئے ۔

But they had not been sent as guardians over them.

آپ کچھ ان پر داروغہ نہیں ہیں ۔

You are not over them a controller.

آخر تیرے رب نے ان سب پر عذاب کا کوڑا برسایا ۔

So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

انہی پر آگ ہوگی جو چاروں طرف سے گھیری ہوئی ہوگی ۔

Over them will be fire closed in.

ان لوگوں نے اپنے پیغمبر کو جھوٹا سمجھ کر اس اونٹنی کی کوچیں کاٹ دیں ، پس ان کے رب نے ان کے گناہوں کے باعث ان پر ہلاکت ڈالی اورپھر ہلاکت کو عام کر دیا اور اس بستی کو برابر کر دیا ۔

But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].

وہ ان پر ہر طر ف سے بند کی ہوئی ہو گی ۔

Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

اور ان پر پرندوں کے جھنڈ کے جھنڈ بھیج دیئے ۔

And He sent against them birds in flocks,
