You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah . If only the People of the Scripture had believed, it would have been better for them. Among them are believers, but most of them are defiantly disobedient.
Tum behtareen ummat ho jo logon kay liye peda ki gaee ho kay tum nek baaton ka hukum kertay ho aur buri baaton say roktay ho aur Allah Taalaa per eman rakhtay ho agar ehal-e-kitab bhi eman latay to unn kay liye behtar hota unn mein eman walay bhi hain lekin aksar to fasiq hain.
अब तुम बेहतरीन गिरोह हो जिसको लोगों की भलाई के वास्ते निकाला गया है, तुम भलाई का हुक्म देते हो और बुराई से रोकते हो और अल्लाह पर ईमान रखते हो, और अगर अहले-किताब भी ईमान लाते तो उनके लिए बेहतर होता, उनमें से कुछ ईमान वाले हैं और अक्सर नाफ़रमान हैं।
And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah , lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.
Aur gaali mat do unn ko jin ki yeh log Allah Taalaa ko chor ker ibadat kertay hain kiyon kay phir woh ba-raah-e-jahal hadd say guzar ker Allah Taalaa ki shaan mein gustakhi keren gay hum ney iss tarah her tareeqay walon ko unn ka amal marghoob bana rakha hai. Phir apney rab hi kay pass inn ko jana hai so woh inn ko batla dey ga jo kuch bhi woh kiya kertay thay.
और अल्लाह के सिवा जिनको ये लोग पुकारते हैं उनको गाली न दो वर्ना ये लोग हद से गुज़र कर जिहालत की वजह से अल्लाह को गालियाँ देने लगेंगे, इसी तरह हमने हर गिरोह की नज़र में उसके अमल को ख़ुशनुमा बना दिया है, फिर उन सबको अपने रब की तरफ़ लौटना है, उस वक़्त अल्लाह उन्हें बता देगा जो वे करते थे।
And for every nation is a [specified] term. So when their time has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it].
Aur her giroh kay liye aik miyaad-e-moyyen hai so jiss waqt inn ki miyaad-e-moyyen aajayegi uss waqt aik sa’at na peechay hatt saken gay aur na aagay barh saken gay.
और हर क़ौम के लिए एक मुक़र्ररह मुद्दत है, फिर जब उनकी मुद्दत आ जाएगी तो वह न एक लम्हा भर पीछे हट सकेंगे और न आगे बढ़ सकेंगे।
And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged
Aur her ummat kay liye aik rasool hai so jab unn kay woh rasool aa chukta hai unn ka faisla insaf kay sath kiya jata hai aur unn per zulm nahi kiya jata.
और हर उम्मत के लिए एक रसूल है, फिर जब उनका रसूल आ जाता है तो उनके दरमियान इंसाफ़ के साथ फ़ैसला कर दिया जाता है और उन पर कोई जु़ल्म नहीं होता।
Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]."
Aap farma dijiye kay mein apni zaat kay liye to kissi nafay ka aur kissi zarrar ka ikhtiyar rakhta hi nahi magar jitna Allah ko manzoor ho. Her ummat kay liye aik moyyen waqt hai jab unn ka woh moyyen waqt aa phonchta hai to aik ghari na peechay hatt saktay hain aur na aagay sirak saktay hain.
कह दीजिए कि मैं अपने वास्ते भी बुरे और भले का मालिक नहीं मगर जो अल्लाह चाहे, हर उम्मत के लिए एक वक़्त है, जब उनका वक़्त आ जाता है तो फिर न वह एक घड़ी पीछे होते हैं और न आगे।
And if We hold back from them the punishment for a limited time, they will surely say, "What detains it?" Unquestionably, on the Day it comes to them, it will not be averted from them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
Aur agar hum inn say azab ko gini chuni muddat tak kay liye peechay daal den to yeh zarror pukar uthen gay kay azab ko kaun si cheez rokay huye hai suno! Jiss din woh inn kay pass aayega phir inn say talney wala nahi phir to jiss cheez ki hansi ura rahey thay woh enhen gher ley gi.
और अगर हम कुछ मुद्दत तक उनकी सज़ा को रोक दें तो कहते हैं कि क्या चीज़ उसको रोके हुए है, सुन लो! जिस दिन वह उन पर आ पड़ेगा तो उन से फेरा न जाएगा और उनको घेर लेगी वह चीज़ जिसका वे मज़ाक़ उड़ा रहे थे।
But the one who was freed and remembered after a time said, "I will inform you of its interpretation, so send me forth."
Unn do qadiyon mein say jo raha hua tha ussay muddat kay baad yaad aagaya aur kehney laga mein tumhen iss ki tabeer batla doon ga mujhay janay ki ijazat dijiye.
उन दो क़ैदियों में से जो शख़्स बच गया था और उसको एक मुद्दत के बाद याद आया, उसने कहा कि मैं तुम लोगों को इसकी ताबीर बताऊँगा पस मुझको (यूसुफ़ के पास) जाने दो।
Thus have We sent you to a community before which [other] communities have passed on so you might recite to them that which We revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Merciful. Say, "He is my Lord; there is no deity except Him. Upon Him I rely, and to Him is my return."
Issi tarah hum ney aap ko iss ummat mein bheja hai jiss say pehlay boht si ummaten guzar chuki hain kay aap enhen humari taraf say jo wahee aap per utri hai parh ker sunaiye yeh Allah rehman kay munkir hain aap keh dijiye kay mera paalney wala to wohi hai uss kay siwa dar-haqeeqat koi bhi laeeq-e-ibadat nahi ussi kay upper mera bharosa hai aur ussi ki janib mera rujoo hai.
इसी तरह हमने आपको भेजा है एक उम्मत में जिससे पहले भी बहुत-सी उम्मतें गुज़र चुकी हैं; ताकि आप लोगों को वह पैग़ाम सुना दें जो हमने आपकी तरफ़ भेजा है, और वह मेहरबान अल्लाह का इनकार कर रहे हैं, कह दीजिए कि वही मेरा रब है उसके सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं, उसी पर मैंने भरोसा किया और उसी की तरफ़ मुझे लौटना है।
No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain thereafter.
Koi giroh apni maut say na aagay barhta hai na peechay rehta hai.
कोई क़ौम न अपने मुक़र्रर वक़्त से आगे बढ़ती है और न पीछे हटती है।
And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.
Hum ney her ummat mein rasool bheja kay ( logo! ) sirf Allah ki ibadat kero aur uss kay siwa tamam maboodon say bacho. Pus baaz logon ko to Allah Taalaa ney hidayat di aur baaz per gumrahi sabit hogaee pus tum khud zamin mein chal phir ker dekh lo kay jhutlaney walon ka anjam kaisa kuch hua?
और हमने हर उम्मत में एक रसूल भेजा कि अल्लाह की इबादत करो और ताग़ूत (शैतान) से बचो, पस उनमें से कुछ को अल्लाह ने हिदायत दी और उनमें से किसी पर गुमराही साबित हुई, पस ज़मीन में चल-फिर कर देखो कि झुठलाने वालों का अंजाम क्या हुआ।
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect from every nation a witness. Then it will not be permitted to the disbelievers [to apologize or make excuses], nor will they be asked to appease [ Allah ].
Aur jiss din hum her ummat mein say gawah khara keren gay phir kafiron ko na ijazat di jaye gi aur na unn say toba kerney ko kaha jayega.
और जिस दिन हम हर उम्मत में से एक गवाह उठाएंगे, फिर इनकार करने वालों को हिदायत न दी जाएगी और न उनसे तौबा ली जाएगी।
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.
Aur jiss din hum her ummat mein unhi mein say unn kay muqablay mein gawah khara keren gay aur tujhay inn sab per gawah bana ker layen gay aur hum ney tujh per yeh kitab nazil farmaee hai jiss mein her cheez ka shafi biyan hai aur hidayat aur rehmat aur khuskhabri say musalmanon kay liye.
और जिस दिन हम हर उम्मत में एक गवाह उन्हीं में से उठाएंगे और आपको उन लोगों पर गवाह बनाकर लाएंगे, और हमने आप पर किताब उतारी है हर चीज़ को खोल देने के लिए, वह हिदायत और रहमत और बशारत है फ़रमाँबरदारों के लिए।
And do not be like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong [by] taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you because one community is more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another community. Allah only tries you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ.
Aur uss aurat ki tarah na hojao jiss ney apna soot mazboot kaatney kay baad tukray tukray ker kay tor dala kay tum apni qasmon ko aapas kay makar ka baees thehrao iss liye kay aik giroh doosray giroh say barha charha jaye. Baat sirf yehi hai kay iss ehad say Allah tumhen aazma raha hai. Yaqeenan Allah Taalaa tumharay liye qayamt kay din her uss cheez ko khol ker biyan ker dey ga jiss mein tum ikhtilaf ker rahey thay.
और तुम उस औरत की मानिंद न बनो जिसने अपनी मेहनत से काता हुआ सूत टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके तोड़ दिया, तुम अपनी क़समों को आपस में फ़साद डालने का ज़रिया बनाते हो महज़ इस वजह से एक गिरोह दूसरे गिरोह से बढ़ जाए, अल्लाह इसके ज़रिए तुम्हारी आज़माइश करता है और वह क़यामत के दिन उस चीज़ को अच्छी तरह तुम पर ज़ाहिर कर देगा जिसमें तुम इख़्तिलाफ़ कर रहे हो।
And for all religion We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord]
Aur her ummat kay liye hum ney qurbani kay tareeqay muqarrar farmaye hain takay woh inn chopaye janwaron per Allah ka naam len jo Allah ney unhen dey rakhay hain. Samajh lo kay tum sab ka mabood-e-bar haq sirf aik hi hai tum ussi kay tabey farmaan ho jao aajzi kerney walon ko khuskhabri suna dijiye!
और प्रत्येक समुदाय के लिए हम ने क़ुरबानी का विधान किया, ताकि वे उन जानवरों अर्थात मवेशियों पर अल्लाह का नाम लें, जो उस ने उन्हें प्रदान किए हैं। अतः तुम्हारा पूज्य-प्रभु अकेला पूज्य-प्रभु है। तो उसी के आज्ञाकारी बनकर रहो और विनम्रता अपनाने वालों को शुभ सूचना दे दो
For every religion We have appointed rites which they perform. So, [O Muhammad], let the disbelievers not contend with you over the matter but invite them to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.
Her ummat kay liye hum ney ibadat ka aik tareeqa muqarrar ker diya hai jissay woh baja laney walay hain pus enhen iss amar mein aap say jhagra na kerna chahiye aap apnay perwerdigar ki taraf logon ko buliye. Yaqeenan aap theek hidayat per hi hain.
प्रत्येक समुदाय के लिए हम ने बन्दगी की एक रीति निर्धारित कर दी है, जिस का पालन उस के लोग करते हैं। अतः इस मामले में वे तुम से झगड़ने की राह न पाएँ। तुम तो अपने रब की ओर बुलाए जाओ। निस्संदेह तुम सीधे मार्ग पर हो
No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter].
Na to koi ummat apnay waqt-e-muqarrara say aagey barhi aur na peechay rahi.
कोई समुदाय न तो अपने निर्धारित समय से आगे बढ़ सकता है और न पीछे रह सकता है
And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows
Aur jiss din her ummat mein say unn logon kay giroh ko jo humari aayaton ko jhutlatay thay gher ghaar ker layen gay phir woh sab kay sab alaga ker diye jayen gay.
और जिस दिन हम प्रत्येक समुदाय में से एक गिरोह, ऐसे लोगों का जो हमारी आयतों को झुठलाते हैं, घेर लाएँगे। फिर उन की दर्जाबन्दी की जाएगी
And We will extract from every nation a witness and say, "Produce your proof," and they will know that the truth belongs to Allah , and lost from them is that which they used to invent.
Aur hum her ummat mein say aik gawah alag ker len gay kay apni daleelen paish kero pus uss waqt jaan len gay kay haq Allah Taalaa ki taraf hai aur jo kuch iftra woh jortay thay sab unn kay pass say kho jaye ga.
और हम प्रत्येक समुदाय में से एक गवाह निकाल लाएँगे और कहेंगे, "लाओ अपना प्रमाण।" तब वे जान लेंगे कि सत्य अल्लाह की ओर से है और जो कुछ वे घड़ते थे, वह सब उन से गुम होकर रह जाएगा
Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.
Hum ney hi aap ko haq day ker khushkhabri sunaney wala aur darr sunaney wala bana ker bheja hai aur koi ummat aisi nahi hui jiss mein koi darr sunaney wala na guzra ho.
हम ने तुम्हें सत्य के साथ भेजा है, शुभ-सूचना देने वाला और सचेतकर्ता बनाकर। और जो भी समुदाय गुज़रा है, उस में अनिवार्यतः एक सचेतकर्ता हुआ है
Rather, they say, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are in their footsteps [rightly] guided."
( nahi nahi ) bulkay yeh to kehtay hain kay hum ney apnay baad dadon ko aik mazhab per paya aur hum inhi kay naqsh-e-qadam per chal ker raah yaafta hain.
नहीं, बल्कि वे कहते हैं, "हम ने तो अपने बाप-दादा को एक तरीक़े पर पाया और हम उन्हीं के पद-चिन्हों पर हैं, सीधे मार्ग पर चल रहे हैं।"
And similarly, We did not send before you any warner into a city except that its affluent said, "Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following."
Issi tarah aap say pehlay bhi hum ney jiss basti mein koi daraney wala bheja wahan kay aasoodah haal logon ney yehi jawab diya kay hum ney apnay baap dada ko ( aik raah per aur ) aik deen per paya aur hum ney inhi kay naqsh-e-paa lo perwi kerney walay hain.
इसी प्रकार हम ने जिस किसी बस्ती में तुम से पहले कोई सावधान करने वाला भेजा तो वहाँ के सम्पन्न लोगों ने बस यही कहा कि "हम ने तो अपने बाप-दादा को एक तरीक़े पर पाया और हम उन्हीं के पद-चिन्हों पर हैं, उन का अनुसरण कर रहे हैं।"
And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.
Aur aap dekhen gay kay her ummat ghutnon kay bal giri hui hogi. Her giroh apnay naam-e-aemaal ki taraf bulaya jayega aaj tumhen apnay kiyey ka badla diya jayega.
और तुम प्रत्येक गिरोह को घुटनों के बल झुका हुआ देखोगे। प्रत्येक गिरोह अपनी किताब की ओर बुलाया जाएगा, "आज तुम्हें उसी का बदला दिया जाएगा, जो तुम करते थे
And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.
Aur aap dekhen gay kay her ummat ghutnon kay bal giri hui hogi. Her giroh apnay naam-e-aemaal ki taraf bulaya jayega aaj tumhen apnay kiyey ka badla diya jayega.
और तुम प्रत्येक गिरोह को घुटनों के बल झुका हुआ देखोगे। प्रत्येक गिरोह अपनी किताब की ओर बुलाया जाएगा, "आज तुम्हें उसी का बदला दिया जाएगा, जो तुम करते थे
