Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals.
Issi tarah hum ney gunehgaron kay dilon mein iss inkar ko dakhil ker diya hai.
इसी प्रकार हम ने इसे अपराधियों के दिलों में बैठाया है
They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
Woh jab tak dard-naal azabon ko mulahiza na kerlen eman na layen gay.
वे इस पर ईमान लाने को नहीं, जब तक कि दुखद यातना न देख लें
And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.
Pus woh azab unn ko na gahan aajaye ga unhen iss ka shaoor bhi na hoga.
फिर जब वह अचानक उन पर आ जाएगी और उन्हें ख़बर भी न होगी,
And they will say, "May we be reprieved?"
Uss waqt kahen gay kiya humen kuch mohlat di jayegi?
तब वे कहेंगे, "क्या हमें कुछ मुहलत मिल सकती है?"
So for Our punishment are they impatient?
Pus kiya yeh humaray azab ki jaldi macha rahey hain?
तो क्या वे लोग हमारी यातना के लिए जल्दी मचा रहे हैं?
Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years
Acha yeh bhi batao kay agar hum ney enhen kaee saal bhi faeeda uthaney diya.
क्या तुम ने कुछ विचार किया? यदि हम उन्हें कुछ वर्षों तक सुख भोगने दें;
And then there came to them that which they were promised?
Phir enhen woh azab aa laga jin say yeh dhamkaye jatay thay.
फिर उन पर वह चीज़ आ जाए, जिस से उन्हें डराया जाता रहा है;
They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.
To jo kuch bhi yeh barattay rahey iss mein say kuch bhi faeeda na phoncha sakay ga.
तो जो सुख उन्हें मिला होगा वह उन के कुछ काम न आएगा
And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners
Hum ney kissi basti ko halak nahi kiya hai magar issi haal mein kay uss kay liye daraney walay thay.
हम ने किसी बस्ती को भी इस के बिना विनष्ट नहीं किया कि उस के लिए सचेत करने वाले याददिहानी के लिए मौजूद रहे हैं।
As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.
Naseehat kay tor per aur hum zulm kerney walay nahi hain.
हम कोई ज़ालिम नहीं हैं
And the devils have not brought the revelation down.
Iss quran ko shetan nahi laye.
इसे शैतान लेकर नहीं उतरे हैं।
It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.
Aur na woh iss qabil hain na unhen iss ki taqat hai.
न यह उन्हें फबता ही है और न ये उन के बस का ही है
Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.
Bulkay woh to sunnay say bhi mehroon ker diye gaye hain.
वे तो इस के सुनने से भी दूर रखे गए हैं
So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.
Pus tu Allah kay sath kissi aur mabood ko na pukar kay tu bhi saza paney walon mein say ho jaye.
अतः अल्लाह के साथ दूसरे इष्ट-पूज्य को न पुकारना, अन्यथा तुम्हें भी यातना दी जाएगी
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.
Apnay qareebi rishtay walon ko dara dey.
और अपने निकटतम नातेदारों को सचेत करो
And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.
Uss kay sath farotni say paisa aa jo bhi eman laaney wala ho ker teri tabey daari keray.
और जो ईमान वाले तुम्हारे अनुयायी हो गए हैं, उन के लिए अपनी भुजाएँ बिछाए रखो
And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."
Agar yeh log teri na farmani keren to tu elaan ker dey kay mein inn kamon say beyzaar hun jo tum ker rahey ho.
किन्तु यदि वे तुम्हारी अवज्ञा करें तो कह दो, "जो कुछ तुम करते हो, उस की ज़िम्मेदारी से मैं बरी हूँ।"
And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
Apna poora bharosa ghalib meharbaan Allah per rakh.
और उस प्रभुत्वशाली और दया करने वाले पर भरोसा रखो
Who sees you when you arise
Jo tujhay dekhta rehta hai jabkay tu khara hota hai.
जो तुम्हें देख रहा होता है, जब तुम खड़े होते हो
And your movement among those who prostrate.
Aur sajda kerney walon kay darmiyan tera ghoomna phirna bhi.
और सजदा करने वालों में तुम्हारे चलत-फिरत को भी वह देखता है
Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Woh bara hi sunnay wala aur khoob jannay wala hai.
निस्संदेह वह भली-भाँति सुनता-जानता है
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?
Kiya mein tumhen bataon kay shetan kiss per utartay hain.
क्या मैं तुम्हें बताऊँ कि शैतान किस पर उतरते हैं?
They descend upon every sinful liar.
Woh her aik jhootay gunehgaar per utartay hain.
वे प्रत्येक ढोंग रचने वाले गुनाहगार पर उतरते हैं
They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.
( uchat’ti ) hui suni sunaee phoncha detay hain aur inn mein say aksar jhootay hain.
वे कान लगाते हैं और उन में से अधिकतर झूठे होते हैं
And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;
Shaeeron ki pairwee woh kertay hain jo behkay huye hon.
रहे कवि, तो उन के पीछे बहके हुए लोग ही चला करते हैं।-
Do you not see that in every valley they roam
Kiya aap ney nahi dekha kay shaeer aik aik bayabaan mein sir takratay phirtay hain.
क्या तुम ने देखा नहीं कि वे हर घाटी में बहके फिरते हैं,
And that they say what they do not do? -
Aur woh kehtay hain jo kertay nahi.
और कहते वह हैं जो करते नहीं? -
Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.
Siwaye unn kay jo eman laye aur nek amal kiye aur ba-kasrat Allah Taalaa ka ziker kiya aur apni mazloomi kay baad intiqam liya jinhon ney zulm kiya hai woh bhi abhi jaan len gay kay kiss kerwat ulat’tay hain.
वे नहीं जो ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छे कर्म किए और अल्लाह को अधिक याद किया। और इस के बाद कि उन पर ज़ुल्म किया गया तो उन्होंने उस का प्रतिकार किया और जिन लोगों ने ज़ुल्म किया, उन्हें जल्द ही मालूम हो जाएगा कि वे किस जगह पलटते हैं
