So fear Allah and obey me.
Pus Allah say daro aur meri ita’at kero.
अतः अल्लाह का डर रखो और मेरी आज्ञा का पालन करो
And do not obey the order of the transgressors,
Bey baak hadd say guzar janey walon ki ita’at say baaz aajao.
और उन हद से गुज़र जाने वालों की आज्ञा का पालन न करो,
Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend."
Jo mulk mein fasad phela rahey hain aur islah nahi kertay.
जो धरती में बिगाड़ पैदा करते हैं, और सुधार का काम नहीं करते।"
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.
Woh bolay kay bus tu unn mein say hai jin per jadoo ker diya gaya hai.
उन्होंने कहा, "तू तो बस जादू का मारा हुआ है।
You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."
Tu to hum jaisa insan hai. Agar tu sachon say hai to koi moajza ley aa.
तू बस हमारे ही जैसा एक आदमी है। यदि तू सच्चा है, तो कोई निशानी ले आ।"
He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day.
Aap ney farmaya yeh hai oontni pani peenay ki aik bari iss ki aur aik muqarrar din ki bari pani peenay ki tumhari.
उस ने कहा, "यह ऊँटनी है। एक दिन पानी पीने की बारी इस की है और एक नियत दिन की बारी पानी लेने की तुम्हारी है
And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."
( khabardar! ) issay buraee say hath na lagana werna aik baray bhari din ka azab tumhari girift ker ley ga.
तकलीफ़ पहुँचाने के लिए इसे हाथ न लगाना, अन्यथा एक बड़े दिन की यातना तुम्हें आ लेगी।"
But they hamstrung her and so became regretful.
Phir bhi enhon ney uss ki koonchen kaat daalen bus woh pasheymaan hogaye.
किन्तु उन्होंने उस की कूचें काट दी। फिर पछताते रह गए
And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Aur azab ney unhen aa dabocha. Be-shak iss mein ibrat hai. Aur inn mein say aksar log momin na thay.
अन्ततः यातना ने उन्हें आ दबोचा। निश्चय ही इसमें एक बड़ी निशानी है। इस पर भी उन में से अधिकतर मानने वाले नहीं
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Aur be-shak aap ka rab bara zabardast aur meharbaan hai.
और निस्संदेह तुम्हारा रब ही है जो बड़ा प्रभुत्वशाली, अत्यन्त दयाशील है
The people of Lot denied the messengers
Qom-e-loot ney bhi nabiyon ko jhutlaya.
लूत की क़ौम के लोगों ने रसूलों को झुठलाया;
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah ?
Unn say unn kay bhai loot ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha kiya tum Allah ka khof nahi rakhtay?
जबकि उन के भाई लूत ने उन से कहा, "क्या तुम डर नहीं रखते?
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
Mein tumhari taraf amanatdaar rasool hun.
मैं तो तुम्हारे लिए एक अमानतदार रसूल हूँ
So fear Allah and obey me.
Pus tum Allah Taalaa say daro aur meri ita’at kero.
अतः अल्लाह का डर रखो और मेरी आज्ञा का पालन करो
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Mein tum say iss per koi badla nahi maangta mera ajar to sirf Allah Taalaa per hai jo tamam jahaan ka rab hai.
मैं इस काम पर तुम से कोई प्रतिदान नहीं माँगता, मेरा प्रतिदान तो बस सारे संसार के रब के ज़िम्मे है
Do you approach males among the worlds
Kiya tamam jahaan walon mein say mardon kay sath shehwat raani kertay ho.
क्या सारे संसार वालों में से तुम ही ऐसे हो जो पुरुषों के पास जाते हो,
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing."
Aur tumahri jin aurton ko Allah Taalaa ney tumhara jora banaya hai unn ko chor detay ho bulkay tum ho hi hadd say guzar janey walay.
और अपनी पत्नियों को, जिन्हें तुम्हारे रब ने तुम्हारे लिए पैदा किया, छोड़ देते हो? इतना ही नहीं, बल्कि तुम हद से आगे बढ़े हुए लोग हो।"
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted."
Unhon ney jawab diya kay aey loot! Agar tu baaz na aaya to yaqeenan nikal diya jayega.
उन्होंने कहा, "यदि तू बाज़ न आया, ऐ लूत! तो तू अवश्य ही निकाल बाहर किया जाएगा।"
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it].
Aap ney farmaya mein tumharay kaam say sakht na khush hun.
उस ने कहा, "मैं तुम्हारे कर्म से अत्यन्त विरक्त हूँ।
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."
Meray perwerdigar! Mujhay aur meray gharaney ko iss ( wabal ) say bacha ley jo yeh kertay hain.
ऐ मेरे रब! मुझे और मेरे लोगों को, जो कुछ ये करते हैं उस के परिणाम से, बचा ले।"
So We saved him and his family, all,
Pus hum ney ussay aur uss kay mutalaqqeen ko sab ko bacha liya.
अन्ततः हम ने उसे और उस के सारे लोगों को बचा लिया;
Except an old woman among those who remained behind.
Ba-juz aik burhiya kay kay woh peechay reh jaaney walon mein ho gaee.
सिवाय एक बुढ़िया के जो पीछे रह जाने वालों में थी
Then We destroyed the others.
Phir hum ney baqi aur sab ko halak ker diya.
फिर शेष दूसरे लोगों को हम ने विनष्ट कर दिया।
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
Aur hum ney unn per aik khas qisam ka meenh barsaya pus boht hi bura meenh tha jo daraye gaye logon per barsa.
और हम ने उन पर एक बरसात बरसाई। और यह चेताए हुए लोगों की बहुत ही बुरी वर्षा थी
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Yeh majra bhi sirasir ibrat hai. Inn mein say bhi aksar musalman na thay.
निश्चय ही इसमें एक बड़ी निशानी है। इस पर भी उन में से अधिकतर मानने वाले नहीं
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Be-shak tera perwerdigar wohi hai ghalbay wala meharbaani wala.
और निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब बड़ा प्रभुत्वशाली, अत्यन्त दयावान है
The companions of the thicket denied the messengers
Aeeka walon ney bhi rasoolon ko jhutlaya.
अल-ऐका वालों ने रसूलों को झुठलाया
When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah ?
Jabkay inn say shoaib ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha kay kiya tumhen darr khof nahi?
जबकि शुऐब ने उन से कहा, "क्या तुम डर नहीं रखते?
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
Mein tumhari tarah amanatdaar rasool hun.
मैं तुम्हारे लिए एक अमानतदार रसूल हूँ
So fear Allah and obey me.
Allah ka khof khao aur meri farmanbardari kero.
अतः अल्लाह का डर रखो और मेरी आज्ञा का पालन करो
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
Mein iss per tum say koi ujrat nahi chahata mera ajar tamam jahaano kay paalney walay kay pass hai.
मैं इस काम पर तुम से कोई प्रतिदान नहीं माँगता। मेरा प्रतिदान तो बस सारे संसार के रब के ज़िम्मे है
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.
Naap poora bhara kero kum denay walon mein shamooliyat na kero.
तुम पूरा-पूरा पैमाना भरो और घाटा न दो
And weigh with an even balance.
Aur seedhi sahih tarazoo say tola kero.
और ठीक तराज़ू से तौलो
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.
Logon ko unn ki cheezen kami say na do bey baki kay sath zamin mein fasad machatay na phiro.
और लोगों को उन की चीज़ों में घाटा न दो और धरती में बिगाड़ और फ़साद मचाते मत फिरो
And fear He who created you and the former creation."
Uss Allah ka khof rakho jiss ney khud tumhen aur agli makhlooq ko peda kiya hai.
उस का डर रखो जिस ने तुम्हें और पिछली नस्लों को पैदा किया है।"
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.
Unhon ney kaha tu to unn mein say hai jin per jadoo ker diya jata hai.
उन्होंने कहा, "तू तो बस जादू का मारा हुआ है
You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.
Aur tu to hum hi jaisa aik insan hai aur hum to tujhay jhoot bolney walon mein say hi samajhtay hain.
और तू बस हमारे ही जैसा एक आदमी है और हम तो तुझे झूठा समझते हैं
So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."
Agar tum sachay logon mein say hai to hum per aasaman kay tukray gira dey.
फिर तू हम पर आकाश का कोई टुकड़ा गिरा दे, यदि तू सच्चा है।"
He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."
Kaha kay mera rab khoob jannay wala hai jo kuch tum ker rahey ho.
उस ने कहा, " मेरा रब भली-भाँति जानता है जो कुछ तुम कर रहे हो।"
And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.
Chunkay unhon nay issay jhutlaya to unhen saaibaan walay din kay azab ney pakar liya. Woh baray bhari din ka azab tha.
किन्तु उन्होंने उसे झुठला दिया। फिर छाया वाले दिन की यातना ने आ लिया। निश्चय ही वह एक बड़े दिन की यातना थी
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Yaqeena iss mein bari nishani hai aur inn mein kay aksar musalman na thay.
निस्संदेह इसमें एक बड़ी निशानी है। इस पर भी उन में से अधिकतर मानने वाले नहीं
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Aur yaqeenan tera perwerdigar albatta wohi hai ghalbay wala merharbani wala.
और निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब ही है, जो बड़ा प्रभुत्वशाली, अत्यन्त दयावान है
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
Aur be-shak-o-shuba yeh ( quran ) rab-ul-aalameen ka nazil farmaya hua hai.
निश्चय ही यह (क़ुरआन) सारे संसार के रब की अवतरित की हुई चीज़ है
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down
Issay amanatdaar farishta ley ker aaya hai.
इसको लेकर तुम्हारे हृदय पर एक विश्वसनीय आत्मा उतरी है,
Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -
Aap kay dil per utra hai kay aap aagah ker denay walon mein say ho jayen.
ताकि तुम सावधान करने वाले हो
In a clear Arabic language.
Saaf arabi zaban mein.
स्पष्ट अरबी भाषा में
And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.
Aglay nabiyon ki kitabon mein bhi iss quran ka tazkarah hai.
और निस्संदेह यह पिछले लोगों की किताबों में भी मौजूद है
And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?
Kiya enhen yeh nishani kafi nahi kay haqqaniyat quran ko to bani-israeel kay ulamaa bhi jantay hain.
क्या यह उन के लिए कोई निशानी नहीं है कि इसे बनी इसराईल के विद्वान जानते हैं?
And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners
Aur agar hum issay kissi ajami shaks per nazil farmatay.
यदि हम इसे ग़ैर-अरबी भाषी पर भी उतारते,
And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.
Pus woh inn kay samney iss ki tilawat kerta to yeh issay bawar kerney walay na hotay.
और वह इसे उन्हें पढ़कर सुनाता तब भी वे इसे मानने वाले न होते
