And when Saul went forth with the soldiers, he said, "Indeed, Allah will be testing you with a river. So whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand." But they drank from it, except a [very] few of them. Then when he had crossed it along with those who believed with him, they said, "There is no power for us today against Goliath and his soldiers." But those who were certain that they would meet Allah said, "How many a small company has overcome a large company by permission of Allah . And Allah is with the patient."
Jab ( hazrat ) taloot lashkaron ko ley ker niklay to kaha suno Allah Taalaa tumhen aik nehar say aazmaney wala hai jiss ney uss mein say pani pi liya woh mera nahi aur jo ussay na chakhay woh mera hai haan yeh aur baat hai kay apney haath say aik chillo bhar ley. Lekin siwaye chand kay baqi sab ney woh pani pi liya ( hazrat ) taloot momineen samet jab nehar say guzar gaye to woh kehney lagay aaj to hum mein taqat nahi kay jaloot aur uss kay lashkaron say laren. Lekin Allah Taalaa ki mulaqat ka yaqeen rakhney walon ney kaha basa oqat choti aur thori si jamaten bari aur boht si jamaton per Allah kay hukum say ghalba paa leti hain Allah Taalaa sabar kerney walon kay sath hai.
फिर जब निकले तालूत फ़ौजों को लेकर तो उन्होंने कहाः अल्लाह तुमको एक नदी के ज़रिए आज़माने वाला है, पस जिसने उसका पानी पिया वह मेरा साथी नहीं रहेगा, और जिसने उसको न चखा वह मेरा साथी होगा, मगर यह कि कोई एक-आध चुल्लू भर ले अपने हाथ से, तो उन्होंने उसमें से ख़ूब पी लिया सिवाए थोड़े आदमियों के, फिर जब तालूत और जो उसके साथ ईमान पर क़ायम रहे थे दरिया पार कर चुके तो उन लोगों ने कहा कि आज हमको “जालूत” और उसकी फ़ौजों से लड़ने की ताक़त नहीं, जो लोग यह जानते थे कि वे अल्लाह से मिलने वाले हैं उन्होंने कहाः कितनी ही बार छोटी जमातें अल्लाह के हुक्म से बड़ी जमातों पर ग़ालिब आई हैं, और अल्लाह तो सब्र करने वालों के साथ है।
And if only they upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, they would have consumed [provision] from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them are a moderate community, but many of them - evil is that which they do.
Aur agar yeh log toraat aur injeel aur inn ki janib jo kuch Allah Taalaa ki taraf say nazil farmaya gaya hai inn kay pooray paband rehtay to yeh log apney upper say aur neechay say roziyan patay aur khatay aik jamat to inn mein say darmiyana ravish ki hai baqi inn mein say boht say logon kay buray aemaal hain.
और अगर वे तौरात और इंजील की पाबंदी करते और उसकी जो उन पर उनके रब की तरफ़ से उतारा गया है तो वे खाते अपने ऊपर से और अपने क़दमों के नीचे से, कुछ लोग उनमें से सीधी राह पर हैं लेकिन ज़्यादा लोग उनमें से ऐसे हैं जो बहुत बुरा कर रहे हैं।
[It will be said to them], "And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allah ]. It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim."
Aur tum humaray pass tanha tanha aagaye jiss tarah hum ney awwal baar tum ko peda kiya tha aur jo kuch hum ney tum ko diya tha uss ko apney peechay hi chor aaye aur hum to tumharay humrah tumharay inn shafaat kerney walon ko nahi dekhtay jin ki nisbat tum dawa rakhtay thay kay woh tumharay moamlay mein shareek hain. Waqaee tumharay aapas mein to qata talluq hogaya aur woh tumhara sab tum say gaya guzra hua.
और तुम हमारे पास अकेले-अकेले आ गए जैसा कि हमने तुमको पहली मर्तबा पैदा किया था और जो कुछ असबाब हमने तुमको दिए थे सब कुछ तुम पीछे छोड़ आए, और हम तुम्हारे साथ सिफ़ारिश करने वालों को भी नहीं देखते जिनके मुतअल्लिक़ तुम समझते थे कि तुम्हारा काम बनाने में उनका भी हिस्सा है, यक़ीनन (उन से) तुम्हारा रिश्ता टूट गया है और तुम से जाते रहे वे दावे जो तुम किया करते थे।
"O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.
Aey jinnaat aur insanon ki jamat! Kiya tumharay pass tum mein say hi payghumbar nahi aaye thay jo tum say meray ehkaam biyan kertay aur tum ko iss aaj kay din ki khabar detay? Woh sab arz keren gay kay hum apney upper iqrar kertay hain aur inn ko dunyawi zindagi ney bhool mein dalay rakha aur yeh log iqrar kerney walay hongay kay woh kafir thay.
ऐ जिन्नात और इंसानों के गिरोह! क्या तुम्हारे पास तुम्हीं में से पैग़म्बर नहीं आए थे जो तुमको मेरी आयतें सुनाते और तुमको इस दिन के पेश आने से डराते थे, वे कहेंगे कि हम ख़ुद अपने ख़िलाफ़ गवाह हैं और उनको दुनिया की ज़िंदगी ने धोके में रखा और वे अपने ख़िलाफ़ ख़ुद गवाही देंगे कि बेशक हम मुनकिर थे।
A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided.
Baaz logon ko Allah ney hidayat di hai aur baaz per gumrahi sabit hogaee hai. Inn logon ney Allah Taalaa ko chor ker shetanon ko dost bana liya hai aur khayal rakhtay hain kay woh raast per hain.
एक गिरोह को उसने राह दिखा दी और एक गिरोह है कि उस पर गुमराही साबित हो चुकी, उन्होंने अल्लाह को छोड़ कर शैतानों को अपना दोस्त बनाया और गुमान यह रखते हैं कि वे हिदायत पर हैं।
And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Those will attain their portion of the decree until when Our messengers come to them to take them in death, they will say, "Where are those you used to invoke besides Allah ?" They will say, "They have departed from us," and will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.
So uss shaks say ziyada zalim kaun hoga jo Allah Taalaa per jhoot banadhay ya uss ki aayaton ko jhoota bataye inn logon kay naseeb ka jo kuch kitab say hai woh inn ko mill jayega yahan tak kay jab inn kay pass humaray bhejay huye farishtay inn ki jaan qabz kerney aayen gay to kahen gay woh kahan gaye jin ki tum Allah ko chor ker ibadat kertay thay woh kahen gay kay hum say sab ghaeeb hogaye aur apney kafir honey ka iqrar keren gay.
फिर उससे ज़्यादा ज़ालिम कौन होगा जो अल्लाह पर बोहतान बाँधे या उसकी निशानियों को झुठलाए, उनके नसीब का जो हिस्सा लिखा हुआ है वह उन्हें मिल कर रहेगा, यहाँ तक कि जब हमारे भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते उनकी जान लेने के लिए उनके पास पहुँचेंगे तो उनसे पूछेंगे कि अल्लाह के सिवा जिनको तुम पुकारते थे कहाँ हैं, वे कहेंगे कि वे सब हमसे खो गए और वे अपने ऊपर इक़रार करेंगे कि बेशक वे इनकार करने वाले थे।
And when regret overcame them and they saw that they had gone astray, they said, "If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers."
Aur jab naadim huye aur maloom hua kay waqaee woh log gumrahi mein parr gaye to kehney lagay kay agar humara rab hum per reham na keray aur humara gunah moaf na keray to hum bilkul gaye guzray hojayen gay.
और जब वे पछताए और उन्होंने महसूस किया कि वे गुमराही में पड़ गए थे तो उन्होंने कहा कि अगर हमारे रब ने हम पर रहम न किया और हम को न बख़्शा तो यक़ीनन हम बरबाद हो जाएंगे।
And what prevents their expenditures from being accepted from them but that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger and that they come not to prayer except while they are lazy and that they do not spend except while they are unwilling.
Koi sabab unn kay kharach ki qabooliyat kay na honey ka iss kay siwa nahi kay yeh Allah aur uss kay rasool kay munkir hain aur bari kaahili say hi namaz ko aatay hain aur buray dil say hi kharach kertay hain.
और वे अपने ख़र्च की क़बूलियत से सिर्फ़ इसलिए महरूम हुए कि उन्होंने अल्लाह और उसके रसूल का इनकार किया और ये लोग नमाज़ के लिए आते हैं तो सुस्ती के साथ आते हैं और ख़र्च करते हैं तो नागवारी के साथ।
If only they had been satisfied with what Allah and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allah ; Allah will give us of His bounty, and [so will] His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allah ," [it would have been better for them].
Agar yeh log Allah aur uss kay rasool kay diye huye per khush rehtay aut keh detay kay Allah humen kafi hai Allah humen apney fazal say dey ga aur uss ka rasool bhi hum to Allah ki zaat say hi tawaqqa rakheny walay hain.
क्या अच्छा होता कि अल्लाह और उसके रसूल ने उन्हें जो कुछ दिया था उस पर वे राज़ी रहते और कहते कि हमारे लिए अल्लाह काफ़ी है, अल्लाह अपने फ़ज़्ल से हमको और भी देगा और उसका रसूल भी, हमको तो अल्लाह ही चाहिए।
Assuredly, it is they in the Hereafter who will be the greatest losers.
Be-shak yehi log aakhirat mein ziyan kaar hongay.
इसमें शक नहीं कि यही लोग आख़िरत में सबसे ज़्यादा घाटे में रहेंगे।
[They continued] until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved. And Our punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals.
Yahan tak kay jab rasool na umeed honey lagay aur woh ( qom kay log ) khayal kerney lagay kay unhen jhoot kaha gaya foran hi humari madad unn kay pass aa phonchi jissay hum ney chaha ussay nijat di gaee. Baat yeh hai kay humara azab gunehgaron say wapis nahi kiya jata.
यहाँ तक कि जब पैग़म्बर मायूस हो गए और वह ख़्याल करने लगे कि उन से झूठ कहा गया था तो उनको हमारी मदद आ पहुँची, पस नजात मिली जिसको हमने चाहा, और मुजरिम लोगों से हमारा अज़ाब टाला नहीं जा सकता।
[It is] so He will make clear to them [the truth of] that wherein they differ and so those who have disbelieved may know that they were liars.
Iss liye bhi kay yeh log jiss cheez mein ikhtilaf kertay thay ussay Allah Taalaa saaf biyan kerdey aur iss liye bhi kay khud kafir apna jhoota hona jaan len.
ताकि उनके सामने उस चीज़ को खोल दे जिसमें वे इख़्तिलाफ़ कर रहे हैं और इनकार करने वाले लोग जान लें कि वे झूठे थे।
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches the Prophet." The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, and this Qur'an is [in] a clear Arabic language.
Humen bakhoobi ilm hai kay yeh kafir kehtay hain kay issay to aik aadmi sikhata hai uss ki zaban jiss ki taraf yeh nisbat ker rahey hain ajami hai aur yeh quran to saaf arabi mein hai.
और हमको मालूम है कि ये लोग कहते हैं कि इसको तो एक आदमी सिखाता है, जिस शख़्स की तरफ़ वे मंसूब करते हैं उसकी ज़बान अजमी है और यह (क़ुरआन) साफ़ अरबी ज़बान है।
Assuredly, it is they, in the Hereafter, who will be the losers.
Kuch shak nahi kay yehi log aakhirat mein sakht nuksan uthaney walay hain.
लाज़मी बात है कि आख़िरत में ये लोग घाटे में रहेंगे।
And the criminals will see the Fire and will be certain that they are to fall therein. And they will not find from it a way elsewhere.
Aur gunehgar jahannum ko dekh ker samajh len gay kay woh issi mein jhonkay janey walay hain lekin uss say bachney ki jagah na payen gay.
अपराधी लोग आग को देखेंगे तो समझ लेंगे कि वे उस में पड़ने वाले हैं और उस से बच निकलने की कोई जगह न पाएँगे
[They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work."
Woh hain kay jinki dunyawi zindagi ki tamam tar kosishen bekar hogaeen aur woh issi gumaan mein rahey kay woh boht achay kaam ker rahey hain.
ये वे लोग हैं जिनका प्रयास सांसारिक जीवन में अकारथ गया और वे यही समझते हैं कि वे बहुत अच्छा कर्म कर रहे हैं
And there is prohibition upon [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return
Aur jis basti ko hum ney halak ker diya uss per lazim hai kay wahan kay log palat ker nahi aayen gay.
और किसी बस्ती के लिए असम्भव है जिसे हम ने विनष्ट कर दिया कि उस के लोग (क़ियामत के दिन दंड पाने हेतु) न लौटें
And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -
Aur jo log detay hain jo kuch detay hain aur unn kay dil kapkapatay hain kay woh apnay rab ki taraf lotney walay hain.
और जो लोग देते हैं, जो कुछ देते हैं और हाल यह होता है कि दिल उन के काँप रहे होते हैं, इसलिए कि उन्हें अपने रब की ओर पलटना है;
Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]."
Mein ney aaj enhen inn kay uss sabar ka badla dey diya hai kay woh khatir khua apni murad ko phonch chukay hain.
आज मैंने उन के धैर्य का यह बदला प्रदान किया कि वही है जो सफलता को प्राप्त हुए।"
Do you not see that in every valley they roam
Kiya aap ney nahi dekha kay shaeer aik aik bayabaan mein sir takratay phirtay hain.
क्या तुम ने देखा नहीं कि वे हर घाटी में बहके फिरते हैं,
And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us.
Uss ney aur uss kay lashkar ney na-haq tareeqay per mulk mein takabbur kiya aur samajh liya kay woh humari janib lotaye hi na jayen gay.
उस ने और उस की सेनाओं ने धरती में नाहक़ घमंड किया और समझा कि उन्हें हमारी ओर लौटना नहीं है
And it will be said, "Invoke your 'partners' " and they will invoke them; but they will not respond to them, and they will see the punishment. If only they had followed guidance!
Kaha jayega apnay shareekon ko bulao woh bulayen gay lekin woh jawab tak na den gay aur sab azab dekh len gay kaash yeh log hidayat paa letay.
कहा जाएगा, "पुकारो, अपने ठहराए हुए साझीदारों को!" तो वे उन्हें पुकारेंगे, किन्तु वे उन को कोई उत्तर न देंगे। और वे यातना देखकर रहेंगे। काश वे मार्ग पाने वाले होते!
They think the companies have not [yet] withdrawn. And if the companies should come [again], they would wish they were in the desert among the bedouins, inquiring [from afar] about your news. And if they should be among you, they would not fight except for a little.
Samjhtay hain kay abb tak lashkar chalay aur agar fojen aajayen to tamannayen kertay hain kay kaash! Woh sehra mein badiya nashiniyon kay sath hotay kay tumhari khabren daryaft kiya kertay agar woh tum mein mojood hotay ( to bhi kiya? ) na lartay magar baraye naam.
वे समझ रहे हैं कि (शत्रु के) सैन्य दल अभी गए नहीं हैं, और यदि वे गिरोह फिर आ जाएँ तो वे चाहेंगे कि किसी प्रकार बाहर (मरुस्थल में) बद्दुओं के साथ हो रहें और वहीं से तुम्हारे बारे में समाचार पूछते रहे। और यदि वे तुम्हारे साथ होते भी तो लड़ाई में हिस्सा थोड़े ही लेते
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
Kiya unhon ney nahi dekha kay inn kay pehlay boht si qomon ko hum ney gharat ker diya kay woh unn ki taraf lot ker nahi aayen gay.
क्या उन्होंने नहीं देखा कि उन से पहले कितनी ही नस्लों को हम ने विनष्ट किया कि वे उन की ओर पलटकर नहीं आएँगे?
And thus has the word of your Lord come into effect upon those who disbelieved that they are companions of the Fire.
Aur issi tarah aap kay rab ka hukum kafiron per sabit hogaya kay woh dozakhi hain.
और (जैसे दुनिया में सज़ा मिली) उसी प्रकार तेरे रब की यह बात भी उन लोगों पर सत्यापित हो गई है, जिन्होंने इनकार किया कि वे आग में पड़ने वाले हैं;
And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided
Aur woh unhen raah say roktay hain aur yeh iss khayal mein rehtay hain kay yeh hidayat yafta hai.
और वे (शैतान) उन्हें मार्ग से रोकते हैं और वे (इनकार करने वाले) यह समझते हैं कि वे मार्ग पर हैं
And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Agar yeh log yahan tak sabar kertay kay aap khud say nikal ker inn kay pass ajatay to yehi inn kay liye behtar hota, aur Allah ghafoor-o-raheem hai.
यदि वे धैर्य से काम लेते यहाँ तक कि तुम स्वयं निकलकर उन के पास आ जाते तो यह उन के लिए अच्छा होता। किन्तु अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है
On the Day Allah will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something. Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars.
Jiss din Allah Taalaa inn sab ko utha khara keray ga to yeh jiss tarah tumharay samney qasmen khatay hain ( Allah Taalaa ) kay samney bhi qasmen khaney lagen gay aur samjhen gay kay woh bhi kissi ( daleel ) per hain yaqeen mano kay be-shak wohi jhootay hain.
जिस दिन अल्लाह उन सबको उठाएगा तो वे उस के सामने भी इसी तरह क़समें खाएँगे, जिस तरह तुम्हारे सामने क़समें खाते हैं और समझते हैं कि वे किसी बुनियाद पर हैं। सावधान रहो, निश्चय ही वही झूठे हैं!
It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allah ; but [the decree of] Allah came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.
Wohi hai jiss ney ehal-e-kitab mein say kafiron ko unn kay gharon say pehlay hashar kay waqt nikala tumhara gumaan ( bhi ) na tha kay woh niklen gay aur woh khud ( bhi ) samajh rahey thay kay unn kay ( sangeen ) qilay unhen Allah ( kay azab ) say bacha len gay pus unn per Allah ( ka azab ) aisi jagah say aa para kay unhen gumaan bhi na tha aur unn kay dilon mein Allah ney rob daal diya aur apney gharon ko apney hi haathon ujaar rahey thay aur musalmanon kay haathon ( barbad kerwa rahey thay ) pus aey aankhon walo! Ibrat hasil kero.
वही है जिस ने किताब वालों में से उन लोगों को जिन्होंने इनकार किया, उन के घरों से पहले ही जमावड़े में निकल बाहर किया यद्यपि तुम्हें गुमान न था कि वे निकल जाऐंगे। वे समझ रहे थे कि उन की गढ़ियाँ अल्लाह से उन्हें बचा लेंगी। किन्तु अल्लाह उन पर वहाँ से आया जिस का उन्हें गुमान भी न था। और उस ने उन के दिलों में रोब डाल दिया कि वे अपने घरों को स्वयं अपने हाथों और ईमान वालों के हाथों भी उजाड़ने लगे। अतः शिक्षा ग्रहण करो, ऐ दृष्टि रखने वालो!
Do they not think that they will be resurrected
kiya inhen apney marney kay bad ji uthney ka khayal nahi
क्या वे समझते नहीं कि उन्हें (जीवित होकर) उठना है,
