And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to His people, "Remember the favor of Allah upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
Jiss waqt musa ney apni qom say kaha kay Allah kay woh ehsanaat yaad kero jo uss ney tum per kiye hain jabkay uss ney tumhen firaoniyon say nijat di jo tumhen baray dukh phonchatay thay. Tumharay larkon ko qatal kertay thay aut tumhari larkiyon ko zinda chortay thay iss mein tumharay rab ki taraf say tum per boht bari aamaeesh thi.
और जब मूसा (अलै॰) ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि अपने ऊपर अल्लाह के उस ईनाम को याद करो जबकि उसने तुमको फ़िरऔन की क़ौम से छुड़ाया जो तुमको सख़्त तकलीफ़ें पहुँचाते थे और वह तुम्हारे बेटों को मार डालते थे और तुम्हारी औरतों को ज़िंदा रहने देते थे, और उसमें तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से बड़ा इम्तिहान था।
And Moses said, "If you should disbelieve, you and whoever is on the earth entirely - indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy."
Musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha kay agar tum sab aur ruy-e-zamin kay tamam insan Allah ki na shukri keren to bhi Allah bey niyaz aur tareefon wala hai.
और मूसा (अलै॰) ने कहा कि अगर तुम इनकार करो और ज़मीन के सारे लोग भी मुनकिर हो जाएं तब भी अल्लाह बेनियाज़ है, ख़ूबियों वाला है।
The sabbath was only appointed for those who differed over it. And indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
Haftay kay din ki azmat to sirf unn logon kay zimmay hi zaroori ki gaee thi jinhon ney uss mein ikhtilaf kiya tha baat yeh hai kay aap ka perwerdigar khud hi unn mein unn kay ikhtilaf ka faisla qayamat kay din keray ga.
सनीचर के दिन की अज़मत तो सिर्फ़ उन लोगों के ज़िम्मे ही ज़रूरी की गई थी जिन्होंने उसमें इख़्तिलाफ़ किया था, और बेशक आपका रब क़यामत के दिन उनके दरमियान फ़ैसला कर देगा जिस बात में वे इख़्तिलाफ़ कर रहे थे।
And We gave Moses the Scripture and made it a guidance for the Children of Israel that you not take other than Me as Disposer of affairs,
Hum ney musa ko kitab di aur ussay bani israeel kay liye hidayat bana diya kay tum meray siwa kissi ko apna kaarsaaz na banana.
और हमने मूसा (अलै॰) को किताब दी और उसको बनी-इस्राईल के लिए हिदायत बनाया कि मेरे सिवा किसी को अपना कारसाज़ न बनाओ।
O descendants of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah. Indeed, he was a grateful servant.
Aey unn logon ki aulad! Jinhen hum ney nooh kay sath sawar ker diya tha woh humara bara hi shukar guzaar banda tha.
तुम उन लोगों की औलाद हो जिनको हमने नूह (अलै॰) के साथ सवार किया था, बेशक वे एक शुक्रगुज़ार बंदे थे।
And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Scripture that, "You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness.
Hum ney bano islraeel kay liye unn ki kitab mein saaf faisla ker diya tha kay tum zamin mein doobara fasad barpa kero gay aur tum bari zabardast ziyadtiyan kero gay.
और हमने बनी-इस्राईल को किताब में बता दिया था कि तुम दो मर्तबा ज़मीन (मुल्क-ए-शाम) में ख़राबी करोगे और बड़ी सरकशी करोगे।
So when the [time of] promise came for the first of them, We sent against you servants of Ours - those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled.
Inn dono wadon mein say pehlay kay aatay hi hum ney tumharay muqabley per apney banday bhej diye jo baray hi larakay thay. Pus woh tumharay gharon kay andar tak phel gaye aur Allah ka yeh wada poora hona hi tha.
फिर जब उनमें से पहला वादा आया तो हमने तुम पर अपने बंदे भेजे निहायत ज़ोर वाले पस वे घरों में घुस पड़े और वादा पूरा होकर रहा।
Then We gave back to you a return victory over them. And We reinforced you with wealth and sons and made you more numerous in manpower
Phir hum ney unn per tumhara ghalba dey ker tumharay din pheray aur maal aur aulad say tumhari madad ki aur tumehn baray juthay wala bana diya.
फिर हमने तुम्हारी बारी उन पर लौटा दी और माल और औलाद से तुम्हारी मदद की और तुमको ज़्यादा बड़ी जमात बना दिया।
[And said], "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves." Then when the final promise came, [We sent your enemies] to sadden your faces and to enter the temple in Jerusalem, as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they had taken over with [total] destruction.
Agar tum ney achay kaam kiye to khud apney hi faeeday kay liye aur agar tum ney buraiyan kin to bhi apney hi liye phir jab doosray waday ka waqt aaya ( to hum ney doosray bandon ko bhej diya takay ) woh tumharay chehray bigar den aur pehli dafa ki tarah phir ussi masjid mein ghuss jayen. Aur jiss jiss cheez per qaboo payen tor phor ker jarr say ukhar den.
अगर तुम अच्छे काम करोगे तो तुम अपने लिए अच्छा करोगे और अगर तुम बुरे काम करोगे तब भी अपने लिए बुरा करोगे, फिर जब दूसरे वादे का वक़्त आया तो हमने और बंदे भेजे कि वे तुम्हारे चेहरों को बिगाड़ दें और मस्जिद (बैतुल-मुक़द्दस) में घुस जाएं जिस तरह उसमें पहली बार घुसे थे और जिस चीज़ पर उनका ज़ोर चले उसको बरबाद कर दें।
[Then Allah said], "It is expected, [if you repent], that your Lord will have mercy upon you. But if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]. And We have made Hell, for the disbelievers, a prison-bed."
Umeed hai kay tumhara rab tum per reham keray. Haan agar tum phir bhi wohi kerney lagay to hum bhi doobara aisa hi keren gay aur hum ney munkiron kay qaid khana jahannum ko bana rakha hai.
क़रीब है कि तुम्हारा रब तुम्हारे ऊपर रहम करे, और अगर तुम फिर वही करोगे तो हम भी वही करेंगे, और हमने जहन्नम को मुनकिरीन के लिए क़ैदख़ाना बना दिया है।
And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs, so ask the Children of Israel [about] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, "Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are affected by magic."
Hum ney musa ko no moajzzay bilkul saaf saaf ata farmaye tu khud hi bani isaeel say pooch ley kay jab woh inn kay pass phonchay to firaon bola kay aey musa! Meray khayal mein to tujh per jadoo ker diya gaya hai.
हम ने मूसा को नौ खुली निशानियाँ प्रदान की थी। अब इसराईल की सन्तान से पूछ लो कि जब वह उन के पास आया और फ़िरऔन ने उस से कहा, "ऐ मूसा! मैं तो तुम्हें बड़ा जादूगर समझता हूँ।"
[Moses] said, "You have already known that none has sent down these [signs] except the Lord of the heavens and the earth as evidence, and indeed I think, O Pharaoh, that you are destroyed."
Musa ney jawab diya kay yeh to tujhay ilm ho chuka hai kay aasman-o-zamin kay perwerdigar hi ney yeh moajzzay dikhaney samjhaney ko nazil farmaye hain aey firaon! Mein to samajh raha hun kay tu yaqeenan barbad-o-halak kiya gaya hai.
उस ने कहा, "तू भली-भाँति जानता है कि आकाशों और धऱती के रब के सिवा किसी और ने इन (निशानियों) को स्पष्ट प्रमाण बनाकर नहीं उतारा है। और ऐ फ़िरऔन! मैं तो समझता हूँ कि तू विनष्ट होने को है।"
So he intended to drive them from the land, but We drowned him and those with him all together.
Aakhri firaon ney pukhta irada ker liya kay unhen zamin say hi ukher dey to hum ney khud ussay aur uss kay tamam sathiyon ko gharq ker diya.
अन्ततः उस ने चाहा कि उन को उस भूभाग से उखाड़ फेंके, किन्तु हम ने उसे और जो उस के साथ थे सभी को डूबो दिया
And We said after Pharaoh to the Children of Israel, "Dwell in the land, and when there comes the promise of the Hereafter, We will bring you forth in [one] gathering."
Iss ka baad hum ney bani isaraeel say farma diya kay iss sir zamin per tum raho saho haan jab aakhirat ka wada aaye ga hum tum sab ko samet aur lapet ker ley aayen gay.
और हम ने उस के बाद इसराईल की सन्तान से कहा, "तुम इस भूभाग में बसो। फिर जब आख़िरत का वादा आ पूरा होगा, तो हम तुम सबको इकट्ठा ला उपस्थित करेंगे।"
And [mention] when Moses said to his servant, "I will not cease [traveling] until I reach the junction of the two seas or continue for a long period."
Jabkay musa ney apney no-jawan say kaha kay mein to chalta hi rahoon ga yahan tak kay do dariyaon kay sangum per phonchon khua mujhay saal-ha-saal chalne paray.
याद करो, जब मूसा ने अपने युवक सेवक से कहा, "जब तक कि मैं दो दरियाओं के संगम तक न पहुँच जाऊँ चलना नहीं छोड़ूँगा, चाहे मैं यूँ ही दीर्घकाल तक सफ़र करता रहूँ।"
But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away.
Jab woh dono darya kay sangum per phonchay wahan apni machli bhool gaye jiss ney darya mein surang jaisa apna raasta bana liya.
फिर जब वे दोनों संगम पर पहुँचे तो वे अपनी मछली से ग़ाफ़िल हो गए और उस (मछली) ने दरिया में सुरंग बनाती अपनी राह ली
So when they had passed beyond it, [Moses] said to his boy, "Bring us our morning meal. We have certainly suffered in this, our journey, [much] fatigue."
Jab yeh dono wahan say aagay barhay to musa ney apney no-jawan say kaha laa humara khana dey humen to apney iss safar say sakht takleef uthani pari.
फिर जब वे वहाँ से आगे बढ़ गए तो उस ने अपने सेवक से कहा, "लाओ, हमारा नाश्ता। अपने इस सफ़र में तो हमें बड़ी थकान पहुँची है।"
He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".
Uss ney jawab diya kay kiya aap ney dekha bhi? Jabkay hum pathar say take laga ker aaram ker rahey thay wahin mein machli bhool gaya tha dar-asal shetan ney hi mujhay bhula diya kay mein aap say iss ka zikar keroon. Uss machli ney aik anokhay tor per darya mein apna raasta bana liya.
उस ने कहा, "ज़रा देखिए तो सही, जब हम उस चट्टान के पास ठहरे हुए थे तो मैं मछली को भूल ही गया - और शैतान ही ने उसको याद रखने से मुझे ग़ाफ़िल कर दिया - और उस ने आश्चर्य रूप से दरिया में अपनी राह ली।"
[Moses] said, "That is what we were seeking." So they returned, following their footprints.
Musa ney kaha yehi tha jiss ki talash mein hum thay chunacha wahin say apney qadmon kay nishan dhoondtay huye wapis lotay.
(मूसा ने) कहा, "यही तो है जिसे हम तलाश कर रहे थे।" फिर वे दोनों अपने पदचिन्हों को देखते हुए वापस हुए
And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge.
Pus humaray bandon mein say aik banday ko paya jissay hum ney apney pass ki khas rehmat ata farma rakhi thi aur ussay apney pass say khas ilm sikha rakha tha.
फिर उन्होंने हमारे बन्दों में से एक बन्दे को पाया, जिसे हम ने अपने पास से दयालुता प्रदान की थी और जिसे अपने पास से ज्ञान प्रदान किया था
Moses said to him, "May I follow you on [the condition] that you teach me from what you have been taught of sound judgement?"
Iss say musa ney kaha kay mein aap ki tabeydaari keroon? Kay aap mujhay iss nek ilm ko sikha den jo aap ko sikhaya gaya hai.
मूसा ने उस से कहा, "क्या मैं आपके पीछे चलूँ, ताकि आप मुझे उस ज्ञान और विवेक की शिक्षा दें, जो आपको दी गई है?"
He said, "Indeed, with me you will never be able to have patience.
Uss ney kaha aap meray sath hergiz sabar nahi ker saktay.
उस ने कहा, "तुम मेरे साथ धैर्य न रख सकोगे,
And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?"
Aur jiss cheez ko aap ney apney ilm mein na liya ho uss per sabar ker bhi kaisay saktay hain?
और जो चीज़ तुम्हारे ज्ञान-परिधि से बाहर हो, उस पर तुम धैर्य कैसे रख सकते हो?"
[Moses] said, "You will find me, if Allah wills, patient, and I will not disobey you in [any] order."
Musa ney jawab diya kay inshaAllah aap mujhay sabar kerney wala payen gay aur kissi baat mein , mein aap ki na-farmani na keroon ga.
(मूसा ने) कहा, "यदि अल्लाह ने चाहा तो आप मुझे धैर्यवान पाएँगे। और मैं किसी मामले में भी आपकी अवज्ञा नहीं करूँगा।"
He said, "Then if you follow me, do not ask me about anything until I make to you about it mention."
Uss ney kaha acha agar aap meray sath hi chalney per israr kertay hain to yaad rahey kissi cheez ki nisbat mujh say kuch na poochna jabtak kay mein khud uss ki nisbat koi tazkara na keroon.
उस ने कहा, "अच्छा, यदि तुम मेरे साथ चलते हो तो मुझसे किसी चीज़ के विषय में न पूछना, यहाँ तक कि मैं स्वयं ही तुम से उस की चर्चा करूँ।"
So they set out, until when they had embarked on the ship, al-Khidh r tore it open. [Moses] said, "Have you torn it open to drown its people? You have certainly done a grave thing."
Phir woh dono chalay yahan tak kay aik kashti mein sawar huye to uss ney kashti kay takhtay tor diye musa ney kaha kiya aap issay tor rahey hain takay kashti walon ko dobo den yeh to aap ney bari ( khatarnaak ) baat ker di.
अन्ततः दोनों चले, यहाँ तक कि जब नौका में सवार हुए तो उस ने उस में दरार डाल दी। (मूसा ने) कहा, "आप ने इसमें दरार डाल दी, ताकि उस के सवारों को डुबो दें? आपने तो एक अनोखी हरकत कर डाली।"
[Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not say that with me you would never be able to have patience?"
Uss ney jawab diya kay mein ney to pehlay hi tujh say keh diya tha kay tu meray sath hergiz sabar na ker sakay ga.
उस ने कहा, "क्या मैंने कहा नहीं था कि तुम मेरे साथ धैर्य न रख सकोगे?"
[Moses] said, "Do not blame me for what I forgot and do not cover me in my matter with difficulty."
Musa ney jawab diya kay meri bhool per mujhay na pakriye aur mujhay apney kaam mein tangi na daliye.
कहा, "जो भूल-चूक मुझ से हो गई उस पर मुझे न पकड़िए और मेरे मामलें में मुझे तंगी में न डालिए।"
So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing."
Phir dono chalay yahan tak kay aik larkay ko paya iss ney ussay maar dala musa ney kaha kay kiya aap ney aik pak jaan ko baghair kissi jaan kay ewaz maar dala? Be-shak aap ney to bari na pasandeedah harkat ki.
फिर वे दोनों चले, यहाँ तक कि जब वे एक लड़के से मिले तो उस ने उसे मार डाला। कहा, "क्या आपने एक अच्छी-भली जान की हत्या कर दी, बिना इस के कि किसी की हत्या का बदला लेना अभीष्ट हो? यह तो आपने बहुत ही बुरा किया!"
[Al-Khidh r] said, "Did I not tell you that with me you would never be able to have patience?"
Woh kehney lagay kay mein ney tum say nahi kaha tha kay tum meray humraah reh ker hergiz sabar nahi ker saktay.
उस ने कहा, "क्या मैंने तुम से कहा नहीं था कि तुम मेरे साथ धैर्य न रख सकोगे?"
