In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
By those [angels] who extract with violence
Doob ker sakhti say khenchnay walon ki qasam!
गवाह हैं वे (हवाएँ) जो ज़ोर से उखाड़ फैंके,
And [by] those who remove with ease
Band khol ker chora dyney walon ki qasam!
और गवाह हैं वे (हवाएँ) जो नर्मी के साथ चलें,
And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
Aur terney phirnay walon ki qasam!
और गवाह हैं वे जो वायुमंडल में तैरें,
And those who race each other in a race
Phir dor ker agy barhnay walon ki qasam!
फिर एक-दूसरे से अग्रसर हों,
And those who arrange [each] matter,
Phir kam ki tadbeer kernay walon ki qasam!
और मामले की तदबीर करें
On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
Jis din kanpney wali kanpe gi
जिस दिन हिला डालेगी हिला डालने वाले घटना,
There will follow it the subsequent [one].
Us ky bad ik peechy aney wali ( peechy peechy ) aye gi
उस के पीछे घटित होगी दूसरी (घटना)
Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
( buhat se ) dil us din dharakty hongy
कितने ही दिल उस दिन काँप रहे होंगे,
Their eyes humbled.
Gin ki nigahen nichi hongien
उन की निगाहें झुकी होंगी
They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
kehty hein ke kiya hum pehli ki si halat ki taraf phir lot aye jaein gay
वे कहते हैं, "क्या वास्तव में हम पहली हालत में फिर लौटाए जाएँगे?
Even if we should be decayed bones?
Kiya us waqt jab ke hum bosida hadiyaan hojaein gay
क्या जब हम खोखली गलित हड्डियां हो चुके होंगे?"
They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
Kehty hein ke phir to ye lotna nuksandeh hay
वे कहते हैं, "तब तो लौटना बड़े ही घाटे का होगा।"
Indeed, it will be but one shout,
( maloom hona chaiey ) wo to sirf ik ( khufnak ) dant hay
वह तो बस एक ही झिड़की होगी,
And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
Kay ( jis kay zihar hoty hi ) wo ik dam medan mein jama hojaein gay
फिर क्या देखेंगे कि वे एक समतल मैदान में उपस्थित हैं
Has there reached you the story of Moses? -
Kiya Musa ( aleh e salam ) ki khabar tumhein phunchi hay?
क्या तुम्हें मूसा की ख़बर पहुँची है?
When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa,
Jabkay unhein unkay rab nay pak medan TUA mein pukara
जबकि उस के रब ने पवित्र घाटी 'तुवा' में उसे पुकारा था
"Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
( kay ) tum firoon kay pass jao unsay sirkashi ikhtyar kerli hay
कि "फ़िरऔन के पास जाओ, उस ने बहुत सिर उठा रखा है
And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
ussy kaho kay kiya to apnai durstagi or islah chata hy
"और कहो, क्या तू यह चाहता है कि स्वयं को पाक-साफ़ कर ले,
And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"
Aur yeh ky mein tujhhy terey Rab ki rah dikhata takay tu ( uss say ) darnay lagy
"और मैं तेरे रब की ओर तेरा मार्गदर्शन करूँ कि तु (उस से) डरे?"
And he showed him the greatest sign,
Pus ussay bari nishani dikhai
फिर उस ने (मूसा ने) उसको बड़ी निशानी दिखाई,
But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
To us ney jhutlaya aur na fermani ki
किन्तु उस ने झुठला दिया और कहा न माना,
Then he turned his back, striving.
Phir palta dor dhoop kertay huye
फिर सक्रियता दिखाते हुए पलटा,
And he gathered [his people] and called out
Phir sabb ko jama kerty pukaara
फिर (लोगों को) एकत्र किया और पुकारकर कहा,
And said, "I am your most exalted lord."
Tum sab ka rab mein hi hun
"मैं तुम्हारा उच्चकोटि का स्वामी हूँ!"
So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
To ( sab say buland o baala ) ) Allah ney bhi usay aakhrat ky aur duneya ky azab mein giriftaar kerliya
अन्ततः अल्लाह ने उसे आख़िरत और दुनिया की शिक्षाप्रद यातना में पकड़ लिया
Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [ Allah ].
Be-shak is mein is shaks kay liye ibrat hy jo daray
निस्संदेह इसमें उस व्यक्ति के लिए बड़ी शिक्षा है जो डरे!
Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.
Kiya tumhara peda kerna zadadushwar hy ya aasman ka?
क्या तुम्हें पैदा करना अधिक कठिन कार्य है या आकाश को? अल्लाह ने उसे बनाया,
He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.
Iss ki bulandi unchi ki phir issay theek thak kerdia
उस की ऊँचाई को ख़ूब ऊँचा करके उसे ठीक-ठाक किया;
And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
Is ski raat ko tareek banaya aur iss kay din ko nikala
और उस की रात को अन्धकारमय बनाया और उस का दिवस-प्रकाश प्रकट किया
And after that He spread the earth.
Aur is kay baad zameen ko ( humwaar ) bicha diya
और धरती को देखो! इस के पश्चात उसे फैलाया;
He extracted from it its water and its pasture,
Iss mein say paani aur chaara nikala
उस में से उस का पानी और उस का चारा निकाला
And the mountains He set firmly
Aur paharon ko ( mazboot ) ghar diya
और पहाड़ो को देखो! उन्हें उस (धरती) में जमा दिया,
As provision for you and your grazing livestock.
Yeh sab tumhary aur tumhary janwaron kay fiady kat liey ( hein )
तुम्हारे लिए और तुम्हारे मवेशियों के लिए जीवन-सामग्री के रूप में
But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity -
Aur jab wo bari afat ( qiyamat ) ayegi
फिर जब वह महाविपदा आएगी,
The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
Jiss din kay insan apnay kiey hoy kamon ko yad kery ga
उस दिन मनुष्य जो कुछ भी उस ने प्रयास किया होगा उसे याद करेगा
And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see -
Aur ( her ) dekhney waly kay samaney jahanum zahir ki jaey gi
और भड़कती आग (जहन्नम) देखने वालों के लिए खोल दी जाएगी
So as for he who transgressed
To jiss ( shaks ) nay sarkashi ki ( hogi )
तो जिस किसी ने सरकशी की
And preferred the life of the world,
Aur duneyawi zindagi ko tarjeeh di ( hogi )
और सांसारिक जीवन को प्राथमिकता दी होगी,
Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
( uska ) thikana jahanum hi hay
तो निस्संदेह भड़कती आग ही उस का ठिकाना है
But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
Han jo shaks apnay rab kay samaney khara honay say darta raha hogaaur apnay nafas ko khuwahish say roka hoga
और रहा वह व्यक्ति जिस ने अपने रब के सामने खड़े होने का भय रखा और अपने जी को बुरी इच्छा से रोका,
Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
To uska thikana janat hi hay
तो जन्नत ही उस का ठिकाना है
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?
Log ap say qiyamat kay waqay honay ka waqat daryafat kerty hein
वे तुम से उस घड़ी के विषय में पूछते हैं कि वह कब आकर ठहरेगी?
In what [position] are you that you should mention it?
Ap ko is kay biyan kernay say kiaya taaluq?
उस के बयान करने से तुम्हारा क्या सम्बन्ध?
To your Lord is its finality.
Isskay ilam ki inteha to Allah ki janib hay
उस की अन्तिम पहुँच तो तेरे रब से ही सम्बन्ध रखती है
You are only a warner for those who fear it.
Ap to sirf issy derty rahney walon ko agha kernay walay hein
तुम तो बस उस व्यक्ति को सावधान करने वाले हो जो उस से डरे
It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
Jis roz ye ussay dekh lein gay to asa malom hoga kay sirf din ka akhiri hisa ya awal hisa hi ( duniya mein ) rahy hein
जिस दिन वे उसे देखेंगे तो (ऐसा लगेगा) मानो वे (दुनिया में) बस एक शाम या उस की सुबह ही ठहरे हैं
