And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of his bounty. Indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing.
Aur uss cheez ki aarzoo na kero jiss kay baees Allah Taalaa ney tum mein say baaz ko baaz per buzrugi di hai. Mardon kay uss mein say hissa hai jo unhon ney kamaya aur aurton kay liye uss mein say hain jo unhon ney kamaya aur Allah Taalaa say uss ka fazal maango yaqeenan Allah her cheez ka janney wala hai.
और तुम उस चीज़ की तमन्ना न करो जिसमें अल्लाह ने तुम में से एक को दूसरे पर बड़ाई दी है, मर्दों के लिए एक हिस्सा है अपनी कमाई का और औरतों के लिए एक हिस्सा है अपनी कमाई का, और अल्लाह से उसका फ़ज़्ल माँगो, बेशक अल्लाह हर चीज़ का इल्म रखने वाला है।
So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.
Phir unn ki ehad shikni ki waja say hum ney unn per apni laanat nazil farma di aur unn kay dil sakht ker diye kay woh kalaam ko uss ki jagah say badal daaltay hain aur jo kuch naseehat unhen ki gaee thi uss ka boht bara hissa bhula bethay unn ki aik na aik khayanat per tujhay itlaa milti hi rahey gi haan thoray say aisay nahi bhi hain pus tu unhen moaf kerta jaa aur dar guzar kerta reh be-shak Allah Taalaa ehsan kerney walon say mohabbat kerta hai.
पस उनके वादे तोड़ देने की वजह से हमने उन पर लानत कर दी और हमने उनके दिलों को सख़्त कर दिया, वे गुफ़्तगू को उसकी (सही) जगह से बदल देते हैं और जो कुछ उनको नसीहत की गई थी उसका बड़ा हिस्सा वे भुला बैठे, और आप बराबर उनकी किसी न किसी ख़यानत से आगाह होते रहते हो सिवाए थोड़े लोगों के, पस उनको माफ़ कर दें और उनसे दरगुज़र करें, बेशक अल्लाह नेकी करने वालों को पसंद करता है।
And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do.
Aur jo apney aap ko nasrani kehtay hain hum ney unn say bhi ehad-o-paymaan liya unhon ney bhi iss ka bara hissa faramosh ker diya jo unhen naseehat ki gaee thi to hum ney bhi unn kay aapas mein bughz-o-adawat daal di jo ta-qayamat rahey gi aur jo kuch yeh kertay thay un-qarib Allah Taalaa unhen sab bata dey ga.
और कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि हम नसरानी हैं, उनसे हमने अहद लिया था जो कुछ नसीहत उनको की गई थी उसका बड़ा हिस्सा वे भुला बैठे, फिर हमने क़यामत तक के लिए उनके दरमियान दुश्मनी और बुग़्ज़ डाल दिया, और आख़िर में अल्लाह उनको आगाह कर देगा उससे जो कुछ वे कर रहे थे।
O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.
Aey ehal-e-kitab! Tumhara pass humara rasool ( PBUH ) aa chuka hai jo tumahray samney kitab-ullah ki bakasrat aisi baaten zahir ker raha hai jinhen tum chupa rahey thay aur boht si baaton say dar guzar kerta hai tumharay pass Allah Taalaa ki taraf say noor aur wazeh kitab aa chuki hai.
ऐ अहले-किताब! तुम्हारे पास हमारा रसूल आया है, वह किताबे-इलाही की बहुत-सी उन बातों को तुम्हारे सामने खोल रहा है जिनको तुम छुपाते थे और वह दरगुज़र करता है बहुत-सी चीज़ों से, बेशक तुम्हारे पास अल्लाह की तरफ़ से एक रौशनी और एक ज़ाहिर करने वाली किताब आ चुकी है।
Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy - in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate."
Aap keh dijiye kay bus logon ko Allah key iss inam aur rehmat per khush hona chahaiye. Woh iss say ba-darjaha behtar hai jiss ko woh jama ker rahey hain.
आप कह दीजिए कि बस लोगों को अल्लाह के इस ईनाम और रहमत पर ख़ुश होना चाहिए, वह उससे बहुत ज़्यादा बेहतर है जिसको वे जमा कर रहे हैं।
Or do they say [about Prophet Muhammad], "He invented it"? Say, "If I have invented it, then upon me is [the consequence of] my crime; but I am innocent of what [crimes] you commit."
Kiye yeh kehtay hain kay issay khud issi nay gharr liya hai? To jawab dey kay agar mein ney issay gharr liya ho mera gunah mujh per hai aur mein unn gunhaon say bari hun jo tum ker rahey ho.
क्या वे कहते हैं कि पैग़म्बर ने इसको घड़ लिया है? कह दीजिए कि अगर मैंने इसको घड़ा है तो मेरा जुर्म मेरे ऊपर है और जो जुर्म तुम कर रहे हो उससे मैं बरी हूँ।
We only say that some of our gods have possessed you with evil." He said, "Indeed, I call Allah to witness, and witness [yourselves] that I am free from whatever you associate with Allah
Bulkay hum to yehi kehtay hain kay tu humaray kissi mabood kay buray jhaptay mein aagaya hai. Uss ney jawab diya kay mein Allah ko gawah kerta hun aur tum bhi gawah raho kay mein to Allah kay siwa unn sab say bey zaar hun jinhen tum shareek bana rahey ho.
हम तो यही कहेंगे कि तुम्हारे ऊपर हमारे माबूदों में से किसी की मार पड़ गई है, हूद (अलै॰) ने कहाः मैं अल्लाह को गवाह ठहराता हूँ और तुम भी गवाह रहो कि मैं बरी हूँ उनसे जिनको तुम शरीक करते हो।
They said, "O Salih, you were among us a man of promise before this. Do you forbid us to worship what our fathers worshipped? And indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."
Unhon ney kaha aey saleh! Iss say pehlay to hum tujh say boht kuch umeeden lagaye huye thay kiya tu humen unn ki ibadaton say rok raha hai jinki ibadat humaray baap dada kertay chalay aaye humen to iss deen mein heyran kun shaq hai jiss ki taraf tu humen bula raha hai.
उन्होंने कहा कि ऐ सालेह! इससे पहले हमको तुमसे उम्मीद थी, क्या तुम हमको उनकी इबादत से रोकते हो जिनकी इबादत हमारे बाप-दादा करते थे, और जिस चीज़ की तरफ़ तुम हमको बुलाते हो उसके बारे में हमको सख़्त शुब्हा है, और हम बड़े शक में हैं।
They said, "O Shu'ayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and indeed, we consider you among us as weak. And if not for your family, we would have stoned you [to death]; and you are not to us one respected."
Unhon ney kaha aey shoaib! Teri aksar baaten to humari samajh mein hi nahi aatin aur hum to tujhay apney andar boht kamzor patay hain agar teray qabeelay ka khayal na hota to hum to tujhay sangsaar ker detay aur hum tujhay koi heysiyat wali hasti nahi gintay.
उन्होंने कहा कि ऐ शुऐब! जो तुम कहते हो उसका बहुत-सा हिस्सा हमारी समझ में नहीं आता और हम तो देखते हैं कि तुम हम में कमज़ोर हो, और अगर तुम्हारी बिरादरी न होती तो हम तुमको पत्थर मार-मार कर हलाक कर देते और तुम हम पर कुछ भारी नहीं हो।
So do not be in doubt, [O Muhammad], as to what these [polytheists] are worshipping. They worship not except as their fathers worshipped before. And indeed, We will give them their share undiminished.
Iss liye aap inn cheezon say shak-o-shuba mein na rahen jinhen yeh log pooj rahey hain inn ki pooja to iss tarah hai jiss tarah inn kay baap dadon ki iss say pehlay thi. Hum inn sab ko inn ka poora poora hissa baghair kissi kami kay denay walay hi hain.
पस आप उन चीज़ों से शक में न रहें जिनकी ये लोग इबादत कर रहे हैं, ये तो बस उसी तरह इबादत कर रहे हैं जिस तरह उनसे पहले उनके बाप-दादा इबादत कर रहे थे, और हम उनका हिस्सा पूरा-पूरा देंगे बग़ैर किसी कमी के।
[Joseph] said, "You will plant for seven years consecutively; and what you harvest leave in its spikes, except a little from which you will eat.
Yousuf ney jawab diya kay tum saat saal tak pay dar pay lagataar hasb-e-aadat ghalla boya kerna aur fasal kaat ker ussay baaliyon samet hi rehney dena siwaye apney khaney ki thori si miqdaar kay.
यूसुफ़ (अलै॰) ने कहा कि तुम सात साल तक बराबर खेती करोगे, पस जो फ़सल तुम काटो उसको उसकी बालियों में रहने दो मगर थोड़ा-सा जो तुम खाओ।
Has there not reached you the news of those before you - the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud and those after them? No one knows them but Allah . Their messengers brought them clear proofs, but they returned their hands to their mouths and said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in that with which you have been sent, and indeed we are, about that to which you invite us, in disquieting doubt."
Kiya tumharay pass tum say pehlay kay logon ki khabren nahi aaen? Yani qom-e-nooh ki aur aad-o-samood ki aur unn kay baad walon ki jinhen siwaye Allah Taalaa kay aur koi nahi janta unn kay pass unn kay rasool moajzzay laye lekin unhon ney apney hath apney mun mein daba liye aur saaf keh diya kay jo kuch tumhen dey ker bheja gaya hai hum uss kay munkir hain aur jiss cheez ki taraf tum humen bula rahey ho humen to iss mein bara bhari shuba hai.
क्या तुमको उन लोगों की ख़बर नहीं पहुँची जो तुमसे पहले गुज़र चुके हैं क़ौमे-नूह, और आद और समूद और जो लोग उनके बाद हुए हैं जिनको अल्लाह के सिवा कोई नहीं जानता, उनके पैग़म्बर उनके पास दलाइल लेकर आए तो उन्होंने अपने हाथ उनके मुँह में दे दिए और कहा कि तुम जो कुछ देकर भेजे गए हो हम उसको नहीं मानते और जिस चीज़ की तरफ़ तुम हमको बुलाते हो हम उसके बारे में सख़्त उलझन वाले शक में पड़े हुए हैं।
And Allah has made for you, from that which He has created, shadows and has made for you from the mountains, shelters and has made for you garments which protect you from the heat and garments which protect you from your [enemy in] battle. Thus does He complete His favor upon you that you might submit [to Him].
Allah hi ney tumharay liye apni peda kerda cheezon mein say saye banaye hain aur ussi ney tumharay liye paharon mein ghaar banaye hain aur ussi ney tumharay liye kurtay banaye hain jo tumhen garmi say bachayen aur aisay kuraty bhi jo tumhen laraee kay waqt kaam aayen. Woh issi tarah apni poori poori nematen dey raha hai kay tum hukum bardaar bann jao.
और अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए अपनी पैदा की हुई चीज़ों के साए बनाए और तुम्हारे लिए पहाड़ों में छुपने की जगह बनाई और तुम्हारे लिए ऐसे लिबास बनाए जो तुमको गर्मी से बचाते हैं और ऐसे लिबास बनाए जो लड़ाई में तुमको बचाते हैं, इसी तरह अल्लाह तुम पर अपनी नेमतें पूरी करता है; ताकि तुम फ़रमाँबरदार बनो।
And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.
Aur azab ko aap say jaldi talab ker rahey hain Allah hergiz apna wada nahi talay ga. Haan albata aap kay rab kay nazdeek aik din tumhari ginti kay aitbar say aik hazar saal ka hai.
और वे तुम से यातना के लिए जल्दी मचा रहे हैं! अल्लाह कदापि अपने वादे के विरुद्ध न करेंगा। किन्तु तुम्हारे रब के यहाँ एक दिन, तुम्हारी गणना के अनुसार, एक हजार वर्ष जैसा है
And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat.
Tumhray liye chopayon mein bhi boht bari bhari ibrat hai. inn kay peton mein say hum doodh pilatay hain aur bhi boht say nafay tumharay liye inn mein hain inn mein say baaz baaz ko tum khatay bhi ho.
और निश्चय ही तुम्हारे लिए चौपायों में भी एक शिक्षा है। उन के पेटों में जो कुछ है उस में से हम तुम्हें पिलाते हैं। और तुम्हारे लिए उन में बहुत-से फ़ायदे हैं और उन्हें तुम खाते भी हो
And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."
Agar yeh log teri na farmani keren to tu elaan ker dey kay mein inn kamon say beyzaar hun jo tum ker rahey ho.
किन्तु यदि वे तुम्हारी अवज्ञा करें तो कह दो, "जो कुछ तुम करते हो, उस की ज़िम्मेदारी से मैं बरी हूँ।"
And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.
Aap inn kay baray mein ghum na keren aur inn kay dao ghaat say tang dil na hon.
उन के प्रति शोकाकुल न हो और न उस चाल से दिल तंग हो, जो वे चल रहे हैं।
He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.
Woh aasman say ley ker zamin tak ( her ) kaam ki tadbeer kerta hai phir ( woh kaam ) aik aisay din mein uss ki taraf charh jata hai jiss ka andaza tumhari ginti kay aik hazar saal kay barbar hai.
वह कार्य की व्यवस्था करता है आकाश से धरती तक - फिर सारे मामले उसी की तरफ़ लौटते हैं - एक दिन में, जिस की माप तुम्हारी गणना के अनुसार एक हज़ार वर्ष है
Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?
Kiya woh nahi dekhtay kay hum ney apnay hathon banaee hui cheezon mein say unn kay liye chopaye ( bhi ) peda ker diye jin kay yeh malik hogaye hain.
क्या उन्होंने देखा नहीं कि हम ने उन के लिए अपने हाथों की बनाई हुई चीज़ों में से चौपाए पैदा किए और अब वे उन के मालिक हैं?
And Joseph had already come to you before with clear proofs, but you remained in doubt of that which he brought to you, until when he died, you said, 'Never will Allah send a messenger after him.' Thus does Allah leave astray he who is a transgressor and skeptic."
Aur iss say pehlay tumharay pass ( hazrat ) yousuf daleelen ley ker aaye phir bhi tum inn ki laaee hui ( daleel ) mein shak-o-shuba hi kertay rahey yahan tak kay jab unki wafaat hogaee to kehney lagay inn kay baad to Allah kissi rasool ko bhejay ga hi nahi issi tarah Allah gumrah kerta hai her uss shaks ko jo hadd say barh janey wala shak-o-shuba kerney wala ho.
इस से पहले भी तुम्हारे पास यूसुफ़ खुले प्रमाण लेकर आ चुके हैं, किन्तु जो कुछ वे लेकर तुम्हारे पास आए थे, उस के बारे में तुम बराबर सन्देह में पड़े रहे, यहाँ तक कि जब उन की मृत्यु हो गई तो तुम कहने लगे, "अल्लाह उन के पश्चात कदापि कोई रसूल न भेजेगा।" इसी प्रकार अल्लाह उसे गुमराही में डाल देता है जो मर्यादाहीन, सन्देहों में पड़ने वाला हो। -
And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working."
Aur enhon ney kaha kay tu jiss ki taraf humen bula raha hai humaray dil to iss say parday mein hain aur humaray kaano mein giraani hai aur hum mein aur tujh mein aik hijab hai acha tu abb apna kaam kiyey ja hum bhi yaqeenan kaam kerney walay hain.
और उन का कहना है कि "जिस की ओर तुम हमें बुलाते हो उस के लिए तो हमारे दिल आवरणों में हैं। और हमारे कानों में बोझ है। और हमारे और तुम्हारे बीच एक ओट है; अतः तुम अपना काम करो, हम तो अपना काम करते हैं।"
And you were not covering yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do.
Aur tum ( apni bad-aemaaliyan ) iss waja say pocheedah rakhtay hi na thay kay tum per tumhari kaan aur tumhari aankhen aur tumhari khaalen gawahee den gi han tum yeh samjhtay rahey kay tum jo kuch bhi ker rahey ho iss mein say boht say aemaal say Allah bey-khabar hai.
तुम इस भय से छिपते न थे कि तुम्हारे कान तुम्हारे विरुद्ध गवाही देंगे, और न इसलिए कि तुम्हारी आँखें गवाही देंगी और न इस कारण से कि तुम्हारी खाले गवाही देंगी, बल्कि तुम ने तो यह समझ रखा था कि अल्लाह तुम्हारे बहुत-से कामों को जानता ही नहीं
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship
Aur jabkay ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) ney apnay walid say aur apni qom say farmaya kay mein inn cheezon say beyzaar hun jinn ki tum ibadat kertay ho.
याद करो, जबकि इबराहीम ने अपने बाप और अपनी क़ौम से कहा, "तुम जिन को पूजते हो उन से मेरा कोई सम्बन्ध नहीं,
Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees [of rank] that they may make use of one another for service. But the mercy of your Lord is better than whatever they accumulate.
Kiya aap kay rab ki rehmat ko yeh taqseem kertay hain? Hum ney hi inn ki zindagniy-e-duniya ki rozi inn mein taqseem ki hai aur aik ko doosray say buland kiya hai takay aik doosray ko matehat ker ley jissay yeh log samettay phirtay hain iss say aap kay rab ki rehmat boht hi behtar hai.
क्या वे तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता को बाँटते हैं? सांसारिक जीवन में उन के जीवन-यापन के साधन हम ने उन के बीच बाँटे हैं और हम ने उन में से कुछ लोगों को दूसरे कुछ लोगों से श्रेणियों की दृष्टि से उच्च रखा है, ताकि उन में से वे एक-दूसरे से काम लें। और तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता उस से कहीं उत्तम है जिसे वे समेट रहे हैं
And for all there are degrees [of reward and punishment] for what they have done, and [it is] so that He may fully compensate them for their deeds, and they will not be wronged.
Aur her aik ko apnay apnay aemaal kay mutabiq darjay milen gay takay unhen unn kay aemaal kay pooray badlay day aur unn per zulm na kiya jayega.
उन में से प्रत्येक के दरजे उन के अपने किए हुए कर्मों के अनुसार होंगे (ताकि अल्लाह का वादा पूरा हो) और वह उन्हें उन के कर्मों का पूरा-पूरा बदला चुका दे और उन पर कदापि ज़ुल्म न होगा
And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.
Hum unkay liye meway aur marghoob gosht ki rail pail kerden gey.
और हम उन्हें मेवे और मांस, जिस की वे इच्छा करेंगे दिए चले जाएँगे
And fruit of what they select
Aur aisay meway liye huye jo inki pasand kay hon.
और स्वादिष्ट फल जो वे पसन्द करें;
And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.
Aur parindon kay gosht joenhein marghoob hon.
और पक्षी का मांस जो वे चाहें;
No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know.
( aisa ) hergiz nahi ho ga hum ney unhein is ( chez ) say paida kia hay jiss say wo jantay hein
कदापि नहीं, हम ने उन्हें उस चीज़ से पैदा किया है, जिसे वे भली-भाँति जानते हैं
