یہود کہتے ہیں کہ نصرانی حق پر نہیں اور نصرانی کہتے ہیں کہ یہودی حق پر نہیں ، حالانکہ یہ سب لوگ تورات پڑھتے ہیں ۔ اسی طرح ان ہی جیسی بات بے علم بھی کہتے ہیں قیامت کے دن اللہ ان کے اس اختلاف کا فیصلہ ان کے درمیان کر دے گا ۔

The Jews say "The Christians have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Christians say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite the Scripture. Thus the polytheists speak the same as their words. But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

ہر شخص ایک نہ ایک طرف متوجّہ ہو رہا ہے تم نیکیوں کی طرف دوڑو ۔ جہاں کہیں بھی تم ہو گے ، اللہ تمہیں لے آئے گا ۔ اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

For each [religious following] is a direction toward which it faces. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgement] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

بیشک جو لوگ اللہ تعالٰی کی اُتاری ہوئی کتاب چھپاتے ہیں اور اسے تھوڑی تھوڑی سی قیمت پر بیچتے ہیں ، یقین مانو کہ یہ اپنے پیٹ میں آگ بھر رہے ہیں قیامت کے دن اللہ تعالیٰ ان سے بات بھی نہ کرے گا ، نہ انہیں پاک کرے گا بلکہ ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

Indeed, they who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and exchange it for a small price - those consume not into their bellies except the Fire. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful punishment.

کیا لوگوں کو اس بات کا انتظار ہے کہ ان کے پاس خود اللہ تعالٰی ابر کے سائبانوں میں آجائے اور فرشتے بھی اور کام انتہا تک پہنچا دیا جائے ، اللہ ہی کی طرف تمام کام لوٹائے جاتے ہیں ۔

Do they await but that Allah should come to them in covers of clouds and the angels [as well] and the matter is [then] decided? And to Allah [all] matters are returned.

جس دن بعض چہرے سفید ہونگے اور بعض سیاہ ، سیاہ چہرےوالوں ( سے کہا جائے گا ) کہ کیا تم نے ایمان لانے کے بعد کُفر کیا؟ اب اپنے کفر کا عذاب چکھّو ۔

On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."

اور سفید چہرے والے اللہ تعالٰی کی رحمت میں داخل ہونگے اور اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

But as for those whose faces will turn white, [they will be] within the mercy of Allah . They will abide therein eternally.

پس کیا حال ہوگا جس وقت کہ ہر ا‘مّت میں سے ایک گواہ ہم لائیں گے اور آپ کو اُن لوگوں پر گواہ بنا کر لائیں گے ۔

So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness?

جس روز کافر اور رسول کے نافرمان آرزو کریں گے کہ کاش! انہیں زمین کے ساتھ ہموار کر دیا جاتا اور اللہ تعالٰی سے کوئی بات نہ چھُپا سکیں گے ۔

That Day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish they could be covered by the earth. And they will not conceal from Allah a [single] statement.

بے شک خسارے میں پڑے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اللہ سے ملنے کی تکذیب کی یہاں تک کہ جب وہ معین وقت ان پر دفعتًا آپہنچے گا ، کہیں گے کہ ہائے افسوس ہماری کوتاہی پر جو اس کے بارے میں ہوئی ، اور حالت ان کی یہ ہوگی کہ وہ اپنے بار اپنی پیٹھوں پر لادے ہونگے ، خوب سن لو کہ بری ہوگی وہ چیز جس کو وہ لادیں گے ۔

Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah , until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it," while they bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.

و ہی لوگ قبول کرتے ہیں جو سنتے ہیں اور مُردوں کو اللہ زندہ کر کے اٹھائے گا پھر سب اللہ ہی کی طرف لائے جائیں گے ۔

Only those who hear will respond. But the dead - Allah will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned.

اور جتنے قسم کے جاندار زمین پر چلنے والے ہیں اور جتنے قسم کے پرند جانور ہیں کہ اپنے دونوں بازؤں سے اڑتے ہیں ان میں کوئی قسم ایسی نہیں جو کہ تمہاری طرح کے گروہ نہ ہوں ہم نے دفتر میں کوئی چیز نہیں چھوڑی پھر سب اپنے پروردگار کے پاس جمع کئے جائیں گے ۔

And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered.

اور وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو برحق پیدا کیا اور جس وقت اللہ تعالٰی اتنا کہہ دے گا تو ہوجا بس وہ ہو پڑے گا ۔ اس کا کہنا حق اور با اثر ہے اور ساری حکومت خاص اسی کی ہوگی جب کہ صور میں پھونک ماری جائے گی وہ جاننے والا ہے پوشیدہ چیزوں کا اور ظاہر چیزوں کا اور وہی ہے بڑی حکمت والا پوری خبر رکھنے والا ۔

And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میرے رب نے حکم دیا ہے انصاف کا اور یہ کہ تم ہر سجدہ کے وقت اپنا رخ سیدھا رکھا کرو اور اللہ تعالٰی کی عبادت اس طور پر کرو کہ اس عبادت کو خالص اللہ ہی کے واسطے رکھو تم کو اللہ نے جس طرح شروع میں پیدا کیا تھا اسی طرح تم دوبارہ پیدا ہو گے ۔

Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord has ordered justice and that you maintain yourselves [in worship of Him] at every place [or time] of prostration, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion." Just as He originated you, you will return [to life] -

ان لوگوں کو اور کسی بات کا انتظار نہیں صرف اس کے اخیر نتیجہ کا انتظار ہے جس روز اس کا اخیر نتیجہ پیش آئے گا اور اس روز جو لوگ اس کو پہلے سے بھولے ہوئے تھے یوں کہیں گے کہ واقعی ہمارے رب کے پیغمبر سچی سچی باتیں لائے تھے سو اب کیا کوئی ہمارا سفارشی ہے کہ وہ ہماری سفارش کر دے یا کیا ہم پھر واپس بھیجے جاسکتے ہیں تاکہ ہم لوگ ان اعمال کے جن کو ہم کیا کرتے تھے برخلاف دوسرے اعمال کریں بیشک ان لوگوں نے اپنے آپ کو خسارہ میں ڈال دیا اور یہ جو جو باتیں تراشتے تھے سب گم ہوگئیں ۔

Do they await except its result? The Day its result comes those who had ignored it before will say, "The messengers of our Lord had come with the truth, so are there [now] any intercessors to intercede for us or could we be sent back to do other than we used to do?" They will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.

اے ایمان والو! اکثر علماء اور عابد لوگوں کا مال ناحق کھا جاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روک دیتے ہیں اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا خزانہ رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے ۔

O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

تم سب کو اللہ ہی کے پاس جانا ہے اللہ نے سچا وعدہ کر رکھا ہے بیشک وہی پہلی بار بھی پیدا کرتا ہے پھر وہی دوبارہ بھی پیدا کرے گا تاکہ ایسے لوگوں کو جو کہ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک کام کئے انصاف کے ساتھ جزا دے اور جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا ان کے واسطے کھولتا ہوا پانی پینے کو ملے گا اور دردناک عذاب ہوگا ان کے کفر کی وجہ سے ۔

To Him is your return all together. [It is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. Indeed, He begins the [process of] creation and then repeats it that He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds, in justice. But those who disbelieved will have a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment for what they used to deny.

جن لوگوں نے نیکی کی ہے ان کے واسطے خوبی ہے اور مزید برآں بھی اور ان کے چہروں پر نہ سیاہی چھائے گی اور نہ ذلت ، یہ لوگ جنت میں رہنے والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally

اور جن لوگوں نے بد کام کئے ان کی بدی کی سزا اس کے برابر ملے گی اور ان کو ذلت چھائے گی ان کو اللہ تعالٰی سے کوئی نہ بچا سکے گا گویا ان کے چہروں پر اندھیری رات کے پرت کے پرت لپیٹ دیئے گئے ۔ ہیں یہ لوگ دوزخ میں رہنے والے ہیں ، اور وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

اور وہ دن بھی قابل ذکر ہے جس روز ہم ان سب کو جمع کریں گے پھر مشرکین سے کہیں گے کہ تم اور تمہارے شریک اپنی جگہ ٹھہرو پھر ہم ان کی آپس میں پھوٹ ڈال دیں گے اور ان کے وہ شرکا کہیں گے کہ کیا تم ہماری عبادت نہیں کرتے تھے ۔

And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together - then We will say to those who associated others with Allah , "[Remain in] your place, you and your 'partners.' " Then We will separate them, and their "partners" will say, "You did not used to worship us,

سو ہمارے تمہارے درمیان اللہ کافی ہے گواہ کے طور پر کہ ہم کو تمہاری عبادت کی خبر بھی نہ تھی ۔

And sufficient is Allah as a witness between us and you that we were of your worship unaware."

اس مقام پر ہر شخص اپنے اگلے کئے ہوئے کاموں کی جانچ کر لے گا اور یہ لوگ اللہ کی طرف جو ان کا مالک حقیقی ہے لوٹائے جائیں گے اور جو کچھ جھوٹ باندھا کرتے تھے سب ان سے غائب ہوجائیں گے ۔

There, [on that Day], every soul will be put to trial for what it did previously, and they will be returned to Allah , their master, the Truth, and lost from them is whatever they used to invent.

آپ کہئے کہ تمہارے شرکاء میں کوئی ایسا ہے کہ حق کا راستہ بتا تا ہو؟ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ ہی حق کا راستہ بتاتا ہے تو پھر آیا جو شخص حق کا راستہ بتاتا ہو وہ زیادہ اتباع کے لائق ہے یا وہ شخص جس کو بغیر بتائے خود ہی راستہ نہ سوجھے پس تم کو کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم کیسے فیصلے کرتے ہو ۔

Say, "Are there of your 'partners' any who guides to the truth?" Say, " Allah guides to the truth. So is He who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed or he who guides not unless he is guided? Then what is [wrong] with you - how do you judge?"

اور ان کو وہ دن یاد دلایئے جس میں اللہ ان کو ( اپنے حضور ) جمع کرے گا ( تو ان کو ایسا محسوس ہوگا ) کہ گویا وہ ( دنیا میں ) سارے دن کی ایک آدھ گھڑی رہے ہونگے اور آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو پہچاننے کو ٹھہرے ہوں ۔ و اقعی خسارے میں پڑے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اللہ کے پاس جانے کو جھٹلایا اور وہ ہدایت پانے والے نہ تھے ۔

And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] as if they had not remained [in the world] but an hour of the day, [and] they will know each other. Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided

اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے یہ لوگ اپنے پروردگار کے سامنے پیش کیے جائیں گے اور سارے گواہ کہیں گے کہ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار پر جھوٹ باندھا خبردار ہو کہ اللہ کی لعنت ہے ظالموں پر ۔

And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah ? Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.

توقیامت کے دن اپنی قوم کا پیش رو ہو کر ان سب کو دوزخ میں جا کھڑا کرے گا وہ بہت ہی برا گھاٹ ہے جس پر لا کھڑے کیے جائیں گے ۔

He will precede his people on the Day of Resurrection and lead them into the Fire; and wretched is the place to which they are led.

یقیناً اس میں ان لوگوں کے لئے نشان عبرت ہے جو قیامت کے عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں ۔ وہ دن جس میں سب لوگ جمع کئے جائیں گے اور وہ ، وہ دن ہے جس میں سب حاضر کئے جائیں گے ۔

Indeed in that is a sign for those who fear the punishment of the Hereafter. That is a Day for which the people will be collected, and that is a Day [which will be] witnessed.

جس دن زمین اس زمین کے سوا اور ہی بدل دی جائے گی اور آسمان بھی ، اور سب کے سب اللہ واحد غلبے والے کے رو بُرو ہونگے ۔

[It will be] on the Day the earth will be replaced by another earth, and the heavens [as well], and all creatures will come out before Allah , the One, the Prevailing.

آپ اس دن گنہگاروں کو دیکھیں گے کہ زنجیروں میں ملے جلے ایک جگہ جکڑے ہوئے ہوں گے ۔

And you will see the criminals that Day bound together in shackles,

ان کے لباس گندھک کے ہونگے اور آگ ان کے چہروں پر بھی چڑھی ہوئی ہوگی ۔

Their garments of liquid pitch and their faces covered by the Fire.

یہ اس لئے کہ اللہ تعالٰی ہر شخص کو اس کے کئے ہوئے اعمال کا بدلہ دے ، بیشک اللہ تعالٰی کو حساب لیتے کچھ دیر نہیں لگنے کی ۔

So that Allah will recompense every soul for what it earned. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
