الفاظ ( لَهُمْ )

اور جب لوگوں کو جمع کیا جائے گا تو یہ ان کے دشمن ہوجائیں گے اور ان کی پرستش سے صاف انکار کر جائیں گے ۔

And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship.

اور بالیقین ہم نے ( قوم عاد ) کو وہ مقدور دیئے تھے جو تمہیں تو دیئے بھی نہیں اور ہم نے انہیں کان آنکھیں اور دل بھی دے رکھے تھے ۔ لیکن ان کے کانوں اور آنکھوں اور دلوں نے انہیں کچھ بھی نفع نہ پہنچایا جبکہ وہ اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کا انکار کرنے لگے اور جس چیز کا وہ مذاق اڑایا کرتے تھے وہی ان پر الٹ پڑی ۔

And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah ; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

اور انہیں اس جنت میں لے جائے گا جس سے انہیں شناسا کر دیا ہے ۔

And admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them.

وہ اس لئے کہ ایمان والوں کا کارساز خود اللہ تعالٰی ہے اور اس لئے کہ کافروں کا کوئی کارساز نہیں ۔

That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector.

ہم نے کتنی بستیوں کو جو طاقت میں تیری اس بستی سے زیادہ تھیں جس سے تجھے نکالا گیا ہم نے انہیں ہلاک کر دیا ہے جن کا مددگار کوئی نہ اٹھا ۔

And how many a city was stronger than your city [Makkah] which drove you out? We destroyed them; and there was no helper for them.

تو کیا یہ قیامت کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں کہ وہ ان کے پاس اچانک آجائے یقیناً اس کی علامتیں تو آچکی ہیں پھر جبکہ ان کے پاس قیامت آجائے انہیں نصیحت کرنا کہاں ہوگا ۔

Then do they await except that the Hour should come upon them unexpectedly? But already there have come [some of] its indications. Then what good to them, when it has come, will be their remembrance?

اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے وہ کہتے ہیں کوئی سورت کیوں نازل نہیں کی گئی؟ پھر جب کوئی صاف مطلب والی سورت نازل کی جاتی ہے اور اس میں قتال کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے تو آپ دیکھتے ہیں کہ جن لوگوں کے دلوں میں بیماری ہے وہ آپ کی طرف اس طرح دیکھتے ہیں جیسے اس شخص کی نظر ہوتی ہے جس پر موت کی بیہوشی طاری ہو پس بہت بہتر تھا ان کے لئے ۔

Those who believe say, "Why has a surah not been sent down? But when a precise surah is revealed and fighting is mentioned therein, you see those in whose hearts is hypocrisy looking at you with a look of one overcome by death. And more appropriate for them [would have been]

جو لوگ اپنی پیٹھ کے بل الٹے پھر گئے اس کے بعد کہ ان کے لئے ہدایت واضح ہو چکی یقیناً شیطان نے ان کے لئے ( ان کے فعل کو ) مزین کر دیا ہے اور انہیں ڈھیل دے رکھی ہے ۔

Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

جو لوگ اپنی پیٹھ کے بل الٹے پھر گئے اس کے بعد کہ ان کے لئے ہدایت واضح ہو چکی یقیناً شیطان نے ان کے لئے ( ان کے فعل کو ) مزین کر دیا ہے اور انہیں ڈھیل دے رکھی ہے ۔

Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور اللہ کی راہ سے اوروں کو روکا پھر کفر کی حالت میں ہی مر گئے ( یقین کرلو ) کہ اللہ انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا ۔

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and then died while they were disbelievers - never will Allah forgive them.

اور تاکہ ان منافق مردوں اور منافق عورتوں اور مشرک مردوں اور مشرکہ عورتوں کو عذاب دے جو اللہ تعالٰی کے بارے میں بدگمانیاں رکھنے والے ہیں ۔ ( دراصل ) انہیں پر برائی کا پھیرا ہے اللہ ان پر ناراض ہوا اور انہیں لعنت کی اور ان کے لئے دوزخ تیار کی اور وہ ( بہت ) بری لوٹنے کی جگہ ہے ۔

And [that] He may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women, and the polytheist men and polytheist women - those who assume about Allah an assumption of evil nature. Upon them is a misfortune of evil nature; and Allah has become angry with them and has cursed them and prepared for them Hell, and evil it is as a destination.

بیشک جو لوگ رسول اللہ ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے حضور میں اپنی آوازیں پست رکھتے ہیں ، یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دلوں کو اللہ نے پرہیزگاری کے لئے جانچ لیا ہے ۔ ان کے لئے مغفرت اور بڑا ثواب ہے ۔

Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward.

یہ وہاں جو چاہیں انہیں ملے گا ( بلکہ ) ہمارے پاس اور بھی زیادہ ہے ۔

They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.

اور ثمود ( کے قصے ) میں بھی ( عبرت ) ہے جب ان سے کہا گیا کہ تم کچھ دنوں تک فائدہ اٹھالو ۔

And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."

یا کیا ان کے پاس کوئی سیڑھی ہے جس پر چڑھ کر سنتے ہیں؟ ( اگر ایسا ہے ) تو ان کا سننے والا کوئی روشن دلیل پیش کرے ۔

Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.

کیا اللہ کے سوا ان کا کوئی معبود ہے؟ ( ہرگز نہیں ) اللہ تعالٰی ان کے شرک سے پاک ہے ۔

Or have they a deity other than Allah ? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

حالانکہ انہیں اس کا کوئی علم نہیں وہ صرف اپنے گمان کے پیچھے پڑے ہوئے ہیں اور بیشک وہم ( وگمان ) حق کے مقابلے میں کچھ کام نہیں دیتا ۔

And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.

اللہ پر اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لے آؤ اور اس مال میں سے خرچ کرو جس میں اللہ نے تمہیں ( دوسروں کا ) جانشین بنایا ہے پس تم میں سے جو ایمان لائیں اور خیرات کریں انہیں بہت بڑا ثواب ملے گا ۔

Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.

بیشک صدقہ دینے والے مرد اور صدقہ دینے والی عورتیں اور جو اللہ کو خلوص کے ساتھ قرض دے رہے ہیں ۔ ان کے لئے یہ بڑھایا جائے گا اور ان کے لئے پسندیدہ اجر و ثواب ہے ۔

Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.

اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں وہی لوگ اپنے رب کے نزدیک صدیق اور شہید ہیں ان کے لئے ان کا اجر اور ان کا نور ہے ، اور جو لوگ کفر کرتے ہیں اور ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہیں وہ جہنمی ہیں ۔

And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.

اللہ تعالٰی نے ان کے لئے سخت عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے تحقیق جو کچھ یہ کر رہے ہیں برا کر رہے ہیں ۔

Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.

اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ آؤ تمہارے لئے اللہ کے رسول استغفار کریں تو اپنے سر مٹکاتے ہیں اور آپ دیکھیں گے کہ وہ تکبر کرتے ہوئے رک جاتے ہیں ۔

And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant.

ان کے حق میں آپکا استغفار کرنا اور نہ کرنا دونوں برابرہے اللہ تعالٰی انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ( ایسے ) نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

ان کے حق میں آپکا استغفار کرنا اور نہ کرنا دونوں برابرہے اللہ تعالٰی انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ( ایسے ) نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

ان کے حق میں آپکا استغفار کرنا اور نہ کرنا دونوں برابرہے اللہ تعالٰی انہیں ہرگز نہ بخشے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ( ایسے ) نافرمان لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

ان کے لئے اللہ تعالٰی نے سخت عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے ، پس اللہ سے ڈرو اے عقل مند ایمان والو ۔ یقیناً اللہ نے تمہاری طرف نصیحت اتار دی ہے ۔

Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allah , O you of understanding who have believed. Allah has sent down to you the Qur'an.

بیشک ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو چراغوں ( ستاروں ) سے آراستہ کیا اور انہیں شیطانوں کے مارنے کا ذریعہ بنا دیا اور شیطانوں کے لئے ہم نے ( دوزخ کا جلانے والا ) عذاب تیار کر دیا ۔

And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.

بیشک جو لوگ اپنے پروردگار سے غائبانہ طور پر ڈرتے رہتے ہیں ان کے لئے بخشش ہے اور بڑا ثواب ہے ۔

Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward.

کیا ان کے کوئی شریک ہیں؟ تو چاہیے کہ اپنے اپنے شریکوں کو لے آئیں اگر یہ سچے ہیں ۔

Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful.

اور میں انہیں ڈھیل دونگا ، بیشک میری تدبیر بڑی مضبوط ہے ۔

And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.

کیا ان میں سے کوئی بھی تجھے باقی نظر آرہا ہے؟

Then do you see of them any remains?

میں نے جب کبھی انہیں تیری بخشش کے لئے بلایا انہوں نے اپنی انگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں ڈال لیں اور اپنے کپڑوں کو اوڑھ لیا اور اڑ گئے اور پھر بڑا تکبر کیا ۔

And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.

بیشک میں نے ان سے اعلانیہ بھی کہا اور چپکے چپکے بھی ۔

Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly

بیشک میں نے ان سے اعلانیہ بھی کہا اور چپکے چپکے بھی ۔

Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly

یہ لوگ بہ سبب اپنے گناہوں کے ڈبو دیئے گئے اور جہنم میں پہنچا دیئے گئے اور اللہ کے سوا اپنا کوئی مددگار انہوں نے نہ پایا ۔

Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers.

انہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے؟ کہ نصیحت سے منہ موڑ رہے ہیں ۔

Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away

جسے چاہے اپنی رحمت میں داخل کر لے ، اور ظالموں کے لئے اس نے دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے ۔

He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers - He has prepared for them a painful punishment.

نہ انہیں معذرت کی اجازت دی جائے گی ۔

Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

انہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ ایمان نہیں لاتے ۔

So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe,

ہاں ایمان والوں اور نیک اعمال والوں کو بے شمار اور نہ ختم ہونے والا اجر ہے ۔

Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted.

بیشک ایمان قبول کرنے والوں اور نیک کام کرنے والوں کے لئے وہ باغات ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے ۔

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

ان کے لئے سوائے کانٹے دار درختوں کے اور کچھ کھانا نہ ہوگا ۔

For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant

انہیں اللہ کے ر سول نے فرما دیا تھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی کی اونٹنی اور اس کے پینے کی باری کی ( حفاظت کرو )

And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink."
