الفاظ ( لَهُمُ )

ان اہل کتاب کے اکثر لوگ باوجود حق واضح ہو جانے کے محض حسد و بغض کی بنا پر تمہیں بھی ایمان سے ہٹا دینا چاہتے ہیں ، تم بھی معاف کرو اور چھوڑو یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالٰی اپنا حکم لائے ۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے ۔

Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves [even] after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

اور ان سے جب کبھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی کی اتاری ہوئی کتاب کی تابعداری کرو تو جواب دیتے ہیں کہ ہم تو اس طریقے کی پیروی کریں گے جس پر ہم نے اپنے باپ دادوں کو پایا ، گو ان کے باپ دادے بےعقل اور گم کردہ راہ ہوں ۔

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided?

کیا تم نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جو ہزاروں کی تعداد میں تھے اور موت کے ڈر کے مارے اپنے گھروں سے نکل کھڑے ہوئے تھے ، اللہ تعالٰی نے انہیں فرمایا مر جاؤ ، پھر انہیں زندہ کر دیا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں پر بڑا فضل والا ہے ، لیکن اکثر لوگ ناشُکرے ہیں ۔

Have you not considered those who left their homes in many thousands, fearing death? Allah said to them, "Die"; then He restored them to life. And Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people do not show gratitude.

اور ان کا قول لینے کے لئے ہم نے ان کے سروں پر طور پہاڑ لا کھڑا کر دیا اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ سجدہ کرتے ہوئے دروازے میں جاؤ اور یہ بھی فرمایا کہ ہفتہ کے دن میں تجاوز نہ کرنا اور ہم نے ان سے سخت سے سخت قول و قرار لئے ۔

And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, "Enter the gate bowing humbly", and We said to them, "Do not transgress on the sabbath", and We took from them a solemn covenant.

مسیح ابن مریم سوا پیغمبر ہونے کے اور کچھ بھی نہیں ، اس سے پہلے بھی بہت سے پیغمبر ہو چکے ہیں ان کی والدہ ایک راست باز عورت تھیں دونوں ماں بیٹےکھانا کھایا کرتے تھے آپ دیکھئے کہ کس طرح ہم ان کے سامنے دلیلیں رکھتے ہیں اور پھر غور کیجئے کہ کس طرح وہ پھرے جاتے ہیں ۔

The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.

سو جب ان کو ہماری سزا پہنچی تھی تو انہوں نے عاجزی کیوں نہیں اختیار نہیں کی ، لیکن ان کے قلوب سخت ہوگئے اور شیطان نے ان کے اعمال کو ان کے خیال میں آراستہ کر دیا ۔

Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.

جو لوگ ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور اپنے ایمان کو شرک کے ساتھ مخلوط نہیں کرتے ایسوں ہی کے لئے امن ہے اور وہی راہ راست پر چل رہے ہیں ۔

They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.

جو لوگ ایسے رسول نبی امی کا اتباع کرتے ہیں جن کو وہ لوگ اپنے پاس تورات وانجیل میں لکھا ہوا پاتے ہیں وہ ان کو نیک باتوں کا حکم فرماتے ہیں اور بری باتوں سے منع کرتے ہیں اور پاکیزہ چیزوں کو حلال بناتے ہیں اور گندی چیزوں کو ان پر حرام فرماتے ہیں اور ان لوگوں پر جو بوجھ اور طوق تھے ان کو دور کرتے ہیں ۔ سو جو لوگ اس نبی پر ایمان لاتے ہیں اور ان کی حمایت کرتے ہیں اور ان کی مدد کرتے ہیں اور اس نور کا اتباع کرتے ہیں جو ان کے ساتھ بھیجا گیا ہے ، ایسے لوگ پوری فلاح پانے والے ہیں

Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him - it is those who will be the successful.

اور جب ان کو حکم دیا گیا کہ تم لوگ اس آبادی میں جا کر رہو اور کھاؤ اس سے جس جگہ تم رغبت کرو اور زبان سے یہ کہتے جانا کہ توبہ ہے اور جھکے جھکے دروازہ میں داخل ہونا ہم تمہاری خطائیں معاف کر دیں گے ۔ جو لوگ نیک کام کریں گے ان کو مزید برآں اور دیں گے ۔

And [mention, O Muhammad], when it was said to them, "Dwell in this city and eat from it wherever you will and say, 'Relieve us of our burdens,' and enter the gate bowing humbly; We will [then] forgive you your sins. We will increase the doers of good [in goodness and reward]."

جبکہ ان کے اعمال کو شیطان انہیں زینت دار دکھا رہا تھا اور کہہ رہا تھا کہ لوگوںمیں سے کوئی بھی آج تم پر غالب نہیں آسکتا میں خود بھی تمہاراحمایتی ہوں لیکن جب دونوں جماعتیں نمودار ہوئیں تو اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل پیچھے ہٹ گیا اور کہنے لگا میں تو تم سے بری ہوں ۔ میں وہ دیکھ رہا ہوں جو تم نہیں دیکھ رہے میں اللہ سے ڈرتا ہوں اور اللہ تعالٰی سخت عذاب والا ہے ۔

And [remember] when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector." But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear Allah . And Allah is severe in penalty."

لیکن خود رسول اللہ ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) اور اس کے ساتھ کے ایمان والے اپنے مالوں اور جانوں سے جہاد کرتے ہیں ، یہی لوگ بھلائیوں والے ہیں اور یہی لوگ کامیابی حاصل کرنے والے ہیں ۔

But the Messenger and those who believed with him fought with their wealth and their lives. Those will have [all that is] good, and it is those who are the successful.

نہ یہ لوگ دنیا میں اللہ کو ہراسکے اور نہ ان کا کوئی حمائتی اللہ کے سوا ہوا ، ان کے لئے عذاب دگنا کیا جائے گا نہ یہ سننے کی طاقت رکھتے تھے اور نہ دیکھتے ہی تھے ۔

Those were not causing failure [to Allah ] on earth, nor did they have besides Allah any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.

اور جو اللہ کے عہد کو اس کی مضبوطی کے بعد توڑ دیتے ہیں اور جن چیزوں کے جوڑنے کا اللہ نے حکم دیا ہے انہیں توڑتے ہیں اور زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہیں ، ان کے لئے لعنتیں ہیں اور ان کے لئے برا گھر ہے ۔

But those who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and spread corruption on earth - for them is the curse, and they will have the worst home.

اس لئے بھی کہ یہ لوگ جس چیز میں اختلاف کرتے تھے اسے اللہ تعالٰی صاف بیان کردے اور اس لئے بھی کہ خود کافر اپنا جھوٹا ہونا جان لیں ۔

[It is] so He will make clear to them [the truth of] that wherein they differ and so those who have disbelieved may know that they were liars.

اور وہ اپنے لئے جو ناپسند رکھتے ہیں اللہ کے لئے ثابت کرتے ہیں اور ان کی زبانیں جھوٹی باتیں بیان کرتی ہیں کہ ان کے لئے خوبی ہے نہیں نہیں ، دراصل ان کے لئے آگ ہے اور یہ دوزخیوں کے پیش رو ہیں ۔

And they attribute to Allah that which they dislike, and their tongues assert the lie that they will have the best [from Him]. Assuredly, they will have the Fire, and they will be [therein] neglected.

اور وہ اپنے لئے جو ناپسند رکھتے ہیں اللہ کے لئے ثابت کرتے ہیں اور ان کی زبانیں جھوٹی باتیں بیان کرتی ہیں کہ ان کے لئے خوبی ہے نہیں نہیں ، دراصل ان کے لئے آگ ہے اور یہ دوزخیوں کے پیش رو ہیں ۔

And they attribute to Allah that which they dislike, and their tongues assert the lie that they will have the best [from Him]. Assuredly, they will have the Fire, and they will be [therein] neglected.

واللہ! ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے کی امتوں کی طرف بھی اپنے رسول بھیجے لیکن شیطان نے ان کے اعمال بد ان کی نگاہوں میں آراستہ کر دیئے وہ شیطان آج بھی ان کا رفیق بنا ہوا ہے اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

By Allah , We did certainly send [messengers] to nations before you, but Satan made their deeds attractive to them. And he is the disbelievers' ally today [as well], and they will have a painful punishment.

اس کتاب کو ہم نے آپ پر اس لئے اتارا ہے کہ آپ ان کے لئے ہر اس چیز کو واضح کر دیں جس میں وہ اختلاف کر رہے ہیں اور یہ ایمان داروں کے لئے راہنمائی اور رحمت ہے ۔

And We have not revealed to you the Book, [O Muhammad], except for you to make clear to them that wherein they have differed and as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.

تیرا پروردگار بہت ہی بخشش والا اور مہربانی والا ہے وہ اگر ان کے اعمال کی سزا میں پکڑے تو بیشک انہیں جلدی عذاب کردے ، بلکہ ان کے لئے ایک وعدہ کی گھڑی مقرر ہے جس سے وہ سرکنے کی ہرگز جگہ نہیں پائیں گے ۔

And your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy. If He were to impose blame upon them for what they earned, He would have hastened for them the punishment. Rather, for them is an appointment from which they will never find an escape.

بیشک جو ایمان لائے ہیں اور جنہوں نے شائستہ اعمال کیے ہیں ان کے لئے اللہ رحمٰن محبت پیدا کر دے گا ۔

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection.

اور جو بھی اس کے پاس ایما ن کی حالات میں حاضر ہوگا اور اس نے اعمال بھی نیک کئے ہونگے اس کے لئے بلند و بالا درجے ہیں ۔

But whoever comes to Him as a believer having done righteous deeds - for those will be the highest degrees [in position]:

با ایمان لوگ تو وہی ہیں جو اللہ تعالٰی پر اور اس کے رسول پر یقین رکھتے ہیں اور جب ایسے معاملہ میں جس میں لوگوں کے جمع ہونے کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے نبی کے ساتھ ہوتے ہیں توجب تک آپ سے اجازت نہ لیں کہیں نہیں جاتے ۔ جو لوگ ایسے موقع پر آپ سے اجازت لے لیتے ہیں حقیقت میں یہی ہیں جو اللہ تعالٰی پر اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لا چکے ہیں پس جب ایسے لوگ آپ سے اپنے کسی کام کے لئے اجازت طلب کریں تو آپ ان میں سے جسے چاہیں اجازت دے دیں اور ان کے لئے اللہ تعالٰی سے بخشش کی دعا مانگیں ، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and, when they are [meeting] with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muhammad] - those are the ones who believe in Allah and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission for something of their affairs, then give permission to whom you will among them and ask forgiveness for them of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

ان سے جب بھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ رحمان کو سجدہ کرو تو جواب دیتے ہیں رحمان ہے کیا؟ کیا ہم اسے سجدہ کریں جس کا تو ہمیں حکم دے رہا ہے اور اس ( تبلیغ ) نے ان کی نفرت میں مزید اضافہ کر دیا ۔

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

میں نے اسے اور اس کی قوم کو ، اللہ تعالٰی کو چھوڑ کر سورج کو سجدہ کرتے ہوئے پایا ، شیطان نے ان کے کام انہیں بھلے کرکے دکھلا کر صحیح راہ سے روک دیا ہے پس وہ ہدایت پر نہیں آتے ۔

I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah , and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided,

اور آپ کا رب جو چاہتا ہے پیدا کرتا ہے اور جسے چاہتا ہے چن لیتا ہے ان میں سے کسی کو کوئی اختیار نہیں اللہ ہی کے لئے پاکی ہے وہ بلند تر ہے ہر اس چیز سے کہ لوگ شریک کرتے ہیں ۔

And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.

اور ہم نے عادیوں اور ثمودیوں کو بھی غارت کیا جن کے بعض مکانات تمہارے سامنے ظاہر ہیں اور شیطان نے انہیں انکی بد اعمالیاں آراستہ کر دکھائی تھیں اور انہیں راہ سے روک دیا تھا باوجودیکہ یہ آنکھوں والے اور ہوشیار تھے ۔

And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.

اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ کی اتاری ہوئی وحی کی تابعداری کرو تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے تو جس طریق پر اپنے باپ دادوں کو پایا ہے اسی کی تابعداری کریں گے ، اگرچہ شیطان ان کے بڑوں کو دوزخ کے عذاب کی طرف بلاتا ہو ۔

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that upon which we found our fathers." Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze?

اور ( دیکھو ) کسی مومن مرد و عورت کو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے فیصلہ کے بعد کسی امر کا کوئی اختیار باقی نہیں رہتا ( یاد رکھو ) اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کے رسول کی جو بھی نافرمانی کرے گا وہ صریح گمراہی میں پڑے گا ۔

It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.

اس وقت کہیں گے کہ ہم اس قرآن پر ایمان لائے لیکن اس قدر دور جگہ سے ( مطلوبہ چیز ) کیسے ہاتھ آسکتی ہے ۔

And they will [then] say, "We believe in it!" But how for them will be the taking [of faith] from a place far away?

اور ان سے جب ( کبھی ) کہا جاتا ہے کہ اگلے پچھلے ( گناہوں ) سے بچو تاکہ تم پر رحم کیا جائے ۔

But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "

کہ یقیناً وہ ہی مدد کئے جائیں گے ۔

[That] indeed, they would be those given victory

اور ہمارا ہی لشکر غالب ( اور برتر ) رہے گا ۔

And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.

اور جن لوگوں نے طاغوت کی عبادت سے پرہیز کیا اور ( ہمہ تن ) اللہ تعالٰی کی طرف متوجہ رہے وہ خوشخبری کے مستحق ہیں ، میرے بندوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیجئے ۔

But those who have avoided Taghut, lest they worship it, and turned back to Allah - for them are good tidings. So give good tidings to My servants

ان کے لئے نصیحت کہاں ہے؟ کھول کھول کر بیان کرنے والے پیغمبر ان کے پاس آچکے ۔

How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger.

جو لوگ اپنی پیٹھ کے بل الٹے پھر گئے اس کے بعد کہ ان کے لئے ہدایت واضح ہو چکی یقیناً شیطان نے ان کے لئے ( ان کے فعل کو ) مزین کر دیا ہے اور انہیں ڈھیل دے رکھی ہے ۔

Indeed, those who reverted back [to disbelief] after guidance had become clear to them - Satan enticed them and prolonged hope for them.

یقیناً جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور اللہ کی راہ سے لوگوں کو روکا اور رسول کی مخالفت کی اس کے بعد کہ ان کے لئے ہدایت ظاہر ہو چکی یہ ہرگز ہرگز اللہ کا کچھ نقصان نہ کریں گے عنقریب ان کے اعمال وہ غارت کر دے گا ۔

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds.

ان سے جب کہا جاتا ہے کہ رکوع کر لو تو نہیں کرتے ۔

And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.
