سورة فاطر

شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

اس اللہ کے لئے تمام تعریفیں سزاوار ہیں جو ( ابتداء ) آسمانوں اور زمین کا پیدا کرنے والا اور دو دو تین تین چار چار پروں والے فرشتوں کو اپنا پیغمبر ( قاصد ) بنانے والا ہے مخلوق میں جو چاہے زیادتی کرتا ہے اللہ تعالٰی یقیناً ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

[All] praise is [due] to Allah , Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent.

اللہ تعالٰی جو رحمت لوگوں کے لئے کھول دے سو اس کا کوئی بند کرنے والا نہیں اور جس کو بند کردے سو اس کے بعد اس کا کوئی جاری کرنے والا نہیں اور وہی غالب حکمت والا ہے ۔

Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

لوگو! تم پر جو انعام اللہ تعا لٰی نے کئے ہیں انہیں یاد کرو ۔ کیا اللہ کے سوا اور کوئی بھی خالق ہے جو تمہیں آسمان و زمین سے روزی پہنچائے؟ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں پس تم کہاں الٹے جاتے ہو؟

O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?

اور اگر یہ آپ کو جھٹلائیں تو آپ سے پہلے کے تمام رسول بھی جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں ۔ تمام کام اللہ ہی کی طرف لوٹائے جا تےہیں ۔

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - already were messengers denied before you. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

لوگو! اللہ تعالٰی کا وعدہ سچا ہے تمہیں زندگانی دنیا دھوکے میں نہ ڈالے اور نہ دھوکے باز شیطان تمہیں غفلت میں ڈالے ۔

O mankind, indeed the promise of Allah is truth, so let not the worldly life delude you and be not deceived about Allah by the Deceiver.

یاد رکھو!شیطان تمھا را دشمن ہے تم اسے دشمن جانو وہ تو اپنے گروہ کو صرف اس لئے ہی بلاتا ہے کہ وہ سب جہنم واصل ہو جائیں ۔

Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.

جو لوگ کافر ہوئے ان کے لئے سخت سزا ہے اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کئے ان کے لئے بخشش ہے اور ( بہت ) بڑا اجر ہے ۔

Those who disbelieve will have a severe punishment, and those who believe and do righteous deeds will have forgiveness and great reward.

کیا پس وہ شخص جس کے لئے اس کے برے اعمال مزین کر دیئے گئے ہیں پس وہ انہیں اچھا سمجھتا ہے ( کیا وہ ہدایت یافتہ شخص جیسا ہے ) ( یقین مانو ) کہ اللہ جسے چاہے گمراہ کرتا ہے اور جسے چاہے راہ راست دکھاتا ہے ۔ پس آپ کو ان پر غم کھا کھا کر اپنی جان ہلاکت میں نہ ڈالنی چا ہیے ، یہ جو کچھ کر رہے ہیں اس سے یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی بخوبی واقف ہے ۔

Then is one to whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]? For indeed, Allah sends astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. So do not let yourself perish over them in regret. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of what they do.

اور اللہ ہی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے جو بادلوں کو اٹھاتی ہیں پھر ہم بادلوں کو خشک زمین کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں اور اس سے زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتے ہیں ۔ اسی طرح دوبارہ جی اٹھنا ( بھی ) ہے ۔

And it is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land and give life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Thus is the resurrection.

جو شخص عزت حاصل کرنا چاہتا ہو تو اللہ تعالٰی ہی کی ساری عزت ہےتمام تر ستھرے کلمات اسی کی طرف چڑھتے ہیں اور نیک عمل ان کو بلند کرتا ہے جو لوگ برائیوں کے داؤں گھات میں لگے رہتے ہیں ان کے لئے سخت تر عذاب ہے اور ان کا یہ مکر برباد ہو جائے گا ۔

Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.

لوگو! اللہ تعالٰی نے تمہیں مٹی سے پھر نطفہ سے پیدا کیا ہے پھر تمہیں جوڑے جوڑے ( مرد و عورت ) بنا دیا ہے ، عورتوں کا حاملہ ہونا اور بچوں کا تولد ہونا سب اس کے علم سے ہی ہے اور جو بھی بڑی عمر والا عمر دیا جائے اور جس کسی کی عمر گھٹے وہ سب کتاب میں لکھا ہوا ہے اللہ تعالٰی پر یہ بات بالکل آسان ہے ۔

And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.

اور برابر نہیں دو دریا یہ میٹھا ہے پیاس بجھاتا اور پینے میں خوشگوار اوریہ دوسرا کھاری ہے کڑوا تم ان دونوں میں سے تازہ گوشت کھاتے ہو اور وہ زیورات نکالتے ہو جنہیں تم پہنتے ہو ۔ اور آپ دیکھتے ہیں کہ بڑی بڑی کشتیاں پانی کو چیرنے پھاڑنے والی ان دریاؤں میں ہیں تاکہ تم اس کا فضل ڈھونڈو تاکہ تم اس کا شکر کرو ۔

And not alike are the two bodies of water. One is fresh and sweet, palatable for drinking, and one is salty and bitter. And from each you eat tender meat and extract ornaments which you wear, and you see the ships plowing through [them] that you might seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.

وہ رات کو دن میں اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے اور آفتاب و ماہتاب کو اسی نے کام میں لگا دیا ہے ۔ ہر ایک میعاد معین پر چل رہا ہے یہی ہے اللہ تم سب کا پالنے والا اسی کی سلطنت ہے ۔ جنہیں تم اس کے سوا پکار رہے ہو وہ تو کھجور کی گھٹلی کے چھلکے کے بھی مالک نہیں ۔

He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allah , your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.

اگر تم انہیں پکارو تو وہ تمہاری پکار سنتے ہی نہیں اور اگر ( با لفرض ) سن بھی لیں تو فریاد رسی نہیں کریں گے بلکہ قیامت کے دن تمہارے اس شرک کا صاف انکار کر جائیں گے آپ کو کوئی بھی حق تعالٰی جیسا خبردار خبریں نہ دے گا ۔

If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters].

اے لوگو! تم اللہ کے محتاج ہو اور اللہ بے نیاز اور خوبیوں والا ہے ۔

O mankind, you are those in need of Allah , while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

اگر وہ چاہے تو تم کو فنا کر دے اور ایک نئی مخلوق پیدا کر دے ۔

If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation.

اور یہ بات اللہ کو کچھ مشکل نہیں ۔

And that is for Allah not difficult.

کوئی بھی بوجھ اٹھانے والا دوسرے کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا اگر کوئی گراں بار دوسرے کو اپنا بوجھ اٹھانے کے لئے بلائے گا تو وہ اس میں سے کچھ بھی نہ اٹھائے گا گو قرابت دار ہی ہو تو صرف انہی کو آگاہ کر سکتا ہے جو غائبانہ طور پر اپنے رب سے ڈرتے ہیں اور نمازوں کی پابندی کرتے ہیں اور جو بھی پاک ہو جائے وہ اپنے ہی نفع کے لئے پاک ہوگا لوٹنا اللہ ہی کی طرف ہے ۔

And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination.

اور اندھا اور آنکھوں والا برابر نہیں ۔

Not equal are the blind and the seeing,

اور نہ تاریکی اور روشنی ۔

Nor are the darknesses and the light,

اور نہ چھاؤں اور نہ دھوپ ۔

Nor are the shade and the heat,

اور زندے اور مردے برابر نہیں ہو سکتے اللہ تعالٰی جس کو چاہتا ہے سنا دیتا ہے اور آپ ان لوگوں کو نہیں سنا سکتے جو قبروں میں ہیں ۔

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.

آپ تو صرف ڈرانے والے ہیں ۔

You, [O Muhammad], are not but a warner.

ہم نے ہی آپ کو حق دے کر خوشخبری سنانے والا اور ڈر سنانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے اور کوئی امت ایسی نہیں ہوئی جس میں کوئی ڈر سنانے والا نہ گزرا ہو ۔

Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner.

اور اگر یہ لوگ آپ کو جھٹلا دیں تو جو لوگ ان سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں انہوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھا ان کے پاس بھی ان کے پیغبر معجزے اور صحیفے اور روشن کتابیں لے کر آئے تھے ۔

And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.

پھر میں نے ان کافروں کو پکڑ لیا سو میرا عذاب کیسا ہو ۔

Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.

کیا آپ نے اس بات پر نظر نہیں کی کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے آسمان سے پانی اتارا پھر ہم نے اس کے ذریعہ سے مختلف رنگتو ں کے پھل نکالے اور پہاڑوں کے مختلف حصے ہیں سفید اور سرخ کہ ان کی بھی رنگتیں مختلف ہیں اور بہت گہرے سیاہ ۔

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby fruits of varying colors? And in the mountains are tracts, white and red of varying shades and [some] extremely black.

اور اسی طرح آدمیوں اور جانوروں اور چوپایوں میں بھی بعض ایسے ہیں کہ ان کی رنگتیں مختلف ہیں اللہ سے اس کے وہی بندے ڈرتے ہیں جو علم رکھتے ہیں واقعی اللہ تعالٰی زبردست بڑا بخشنے والا ہے ۔

And among people and moving creatures and grazing livestock are various colors similarly. Only those fear Allah , from among His servants, who have knowledge. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Forgiving.

جو لوگ کتاب اللہ کی تلاوت کرتے ہیں اور نماز کی پابندی رکھتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے ان کو عطا فرمایا ہے اس میں سےپوشیدہ اور اعلانیہ خرچ کرتے ہیں وہ ایسی تجارت کے امیدوار ہیں جو کبھی خسارہ میں نہ ہوگی ۔

Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish -

تاکہ ان کو ان کی اجرتیں پوری دے اور ان کو اپنے فضل سے اور زیادہ دے بیشک وہ بڑا بخشنے والا قدر دان ہے ۔

That He may give them in full their rewards and increase for them of His bounty. Indeed, He is Forgiving and Appreciative.

اور یہ کتاب جو ہم نے آپ کے پاس وحی کے طور پر بھیجی ہے یہ بالکل ٹھیک ہے جو کہ اپنے سے پہلی کتابوں کی بھی تصدیق کرتی ہےاللہ تعالٰی اپنے بندوں کی پوری خبر رکھنے والا خوب دیکھنے والا ہے ۔

And that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of the Book is the truth, confirming what was before it. Indeed, Allah , of His servants, is Acquainted and Seeing.

پھر ہم نے ان لوگوں کو ( اس ) کتاب کا وارث بنایا جن کو ہم نے اپنے بندوں میں سے پسند فرمایا ۔ پھر بعضے تو ان میں اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرنے والے ہیں اور بعضے ان میں متوسط درجے کے ہیں اور بعضے ان میں اللہ کی توفیق سے نیکیوں میں ترقی کئے چلے جاتے ہیں یہ بڑا فضل ہے ۔

Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah . That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.

وہ باغات ہیں ہمیشہ رہنے کے جن میں یہ لوگ داخل ہوں گے سونے کے کنگن اور موتی پہنائے جاویں گے ۔ اور پوشاک وہاں ان کی ریشم کی ہوگی ۔

[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.

اور کہیں گے کہ اللہ کا لاکھ لاکھ شکر ہے جس نے ہم سے غم دور کیا بیشک ہمارا پروردگار بڑا بخشنے والا بڑا قدردان ہے ۔

And they will say, "Praise to Allah , who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative -

جس نے ہم کو اپنے فضل سے ہمیشہ رہنے کے مقام میں لا اتارا جہاں نہ ہم کو کوئی تکلیف پہنچے گی اور نہ ہم کو کوئی خستگی پہنچے گی ۔

He who has settled us in the home of duration out of His bounty. There touches us not in it any fatigue, and there touches us not in it weariness [of mind]."

اور جو لوگ کافر ہیں ان کے لئے دوزخ کی آگ ہے نہ تو ان کی قضا ہی آئے گی کہ مر ہی جائیں اور نہ دوزخ کا عذاب ہی ان سے ہلکا کیا جائے گا ۔ ہم ہر کافر کو ایسی ہی سزا دیتے ہیں ۔

And for those who disbelieve will be the fire of Hell. [Death] is not decreed for them so they may die, nor will its torment be lightened for them. Thus do we recompense every ungrateful one.

اور وہ لوگ اس میں چلائیں گے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہم کو نکال لے ہم اچھے کام کریں گے برخلاف ان کاموں کے جو کیا کرتے تھے ( اللہ کہے گا ) کیا ہم نے تم کو اتنی عمر نہ دی تھی جس کو سمجھنا ہوتا وہ سمجھ سکتا اور تمہارے پاس ڈرانے والا بھی پہنچا تھا سو مزہ چکھو کہ ( ایسے ) ظالموں کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ۔

And they will cry out therein, "Our Lord, remove us; we will do righteousness - other than what we were doing!" But did We not grant you life enough for whoever would remember therein to remember, and the warner had come to you? So taste [the punishment], for there is not for the wrongdoers any helper.

بیشک اللہ تعالٰی جاننے والا ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کی پوشیدہ چیزوں کا بیشک وہی جاننے والا ہے سینوں کی باتوں کا ۔

Indeed, Allah is Knower of the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and earth. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.

وہی ایسا ہے جس نے تم کو زمین میں آباد کیا ، سو جو شخص کفر کرے گا اس کے کفر کا وبال اسی پر پڑے گا ۔ اور کافروں کے لئے ان کا کفر ان کے پروردگار کے نزدیک ناراضی ہی بڑھنے کا باعث ہوتا ہے اور کافروں کے لئے ان کا کفر خسارہ ہی بڑھنے کا باعث ہوتا ہے ۔

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.

آپ کہیئے! کہ تم اپنے قرار داد شریکوں کا حال تو بتلاؤ جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پوجا کرتے ہو ۔ یعنی مجھ کو یہ بتلاؤ کہ انہوں نے زمین میں سے کون سا ( جزو ) بنایا ہے یا ان کا آسمانوں میں کچھ ساجھا ہے یا ہم نے ان کو کوئی کتاب دی ہے کہ یہ اس کی دلیل پر قائم ہوں بلکہ یہ ظالم ایک دوسرے سے نرے دھوکے کی باتوں کا وعدہ کرتے آتے ہیں ۔

Say, "Have you considered your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allah ? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion."

یقینی بات ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی آسمانوں اور زمین کو تھامے ہوئے ہے کہ وہ ٹل نہ جائیں اور اگر وہ ٹل جائیں تو پھر اللہ کے سوا اور کوئی ان کو تھام بھی نہیں سکتا وہ حلیم غفور ہے ۔

Indeed, Allah holds the heavens and the earth, lest they cease. And if they should cease, no one could hold them [in place] after Him. Indeed, He is Forbearing and Forgiving.

اور ان کفار نے بڑی زور دار قسم کھائی تھی کہ اگر ان کے پاس کوئی ڈرانے والا آئے تو وہ ہر ایک امت سے زیادہ ہدایت قبول کرنے والے ہوں ۔ پھر جب ان کے پاس ایک پیغمبر آپہنچے تو بس ان کی نفرت ہی میں اضافہ ہوا ۔

And they swore by Allah their strongest oaths that if a warner came to them, they would be more guided than [any] one of the [previous] nations. But when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion.

دنیا میں اپنے کو بڑا سمجھنے کی وجہ سے ، اور ان کی بری تدبیروں کی وجہ سے اور بری تدبیروں کا وبال ان تدبیر والوں ہی پر پڑتا ہے سو کیا یہ اسی دستور کے منتظر ہیں جو اگلے لوگوں کے ساتھ ہوتا رہا ہے ۔ سو آپ اللہ کے دستور کو کبھی بدلتا ہوا نہ پائیں گے اور آپ اللہ کے دستور کو کبھی منتقل ہوتا ہوا نہ پائیں گے ۔

[Due to] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass except its own people. Then do they await except the way of the former peoples? But you will never find in the way of Allah any change, and you will never find in the way of Allah any alteration.

اور کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں جس میں دیکھتے بھالتے کہ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں ان کا انجام کیا ہوا؟ حالانکہ وہ قوت میں ان سے بڑھے ہوئے تھے ، اور اللہ ایسا نہیں ہے کہ کوئی چیز اس کو ہرا دے نہ آسمانوں میں اور نہ زمین میں ۔ وہ بڑے علم والا ، بڑی قدرت والا ہے ۔

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.

اور اگر اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں پر ان کے اعمال کے سبب دارو گیر فرمانے لگتا تو روئے زمین پر ایک جاندار کو نہ چھوڑتا لیکن اللہ تعالٰی ان کو ایک میعاد معین تک مہلت دے رہا ہے سو جب ان کی وہ میعاد آپہنچے گی اللہ تعالٰی اپنے بندوں کو آپ دیکھ لے گا ۔

And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.
