الفاظ ( هُوَ )

آپ کہہ دیجئے! کہ بھلا یہ تو بتاؤ کہ اگر یہ قرآن اللہ کی طرف سے آیا ہوا ہو پھر تم نے اسے نہ مانا بس اس سے بڑھ کر بہکا ہوا کون ہوگا جو مخالفت میں ( حق سے ) دور چلا جائے ۔

Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur'an is from Allah and you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than one who is in extreme dissension?"

قریب ہے آسمان اوپر سے پھٹ پڑیں اور تمام فرشتے اپنے رب کی پاکی تعریف کے ساتھ بیان کر رہے ہیں اور زمین والوں کے لئے استغفار کر رہے ہیں خوب سمجھ رکھو کہ اللہ تعالٰی ہی معاف فرمانے والا رحمت والا ہے ۔

The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

کیا ان لوگوں نے اللہ تعالٰی کے سوا اور کارساز بنا لئے ہیں ( حقیقتاً تو ) اللہ تعالٰی ہی کارساز ہے وہی مردوں کو زندہ کرے گا اور وہی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Or have they taken protectors [or allies] besides him? But Allah - He is the Protector, and He gives life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

آپ دیکھیں گے کہ یہ ظالم اپنے اعمال سے ڈر رہے ہونگے جن کے وبال ان پر واقع ہونے والے ہیں اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے وہ بہشتوں کے باغات میں ہوں گے وہ جو خواہش کریں اپنے رب کے پاس موجود پائیں گے یہی ہے بڑا فضل ۔

You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they have earned, and it will [certainly] befall them. And those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in lush regions of the gardens [in Paradise] having whatever they will in the presence of their Lord. That is what is the great bounty.

بلکہ میں بہتر ہوں بہ نسبت اس کے جو بے توقیر ہے اور صاف بول بھی نہیں سکتا ۔

Or am I [not] better than this one who is insignificant and hardly makes himself clear?

اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا وہ؟ تجھ سے ان کا یہ کہنا محض جھگڑے کی غرض سے ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو ۔

And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he?" They did not present the comparison except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.

عیسٰی ( علیہ السلام ) بھی صرف بندہ ہی ہے جس پر ہم نے احسان کیا اور اسے بنی اسرائیل کے لئے نشان قدرت بنایا ۔

Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel.

میرا اور تمہارا رب فقط اللہ تعالٰی ہی ہے پس تم سب اس کی عبادت کرو ۔ راہ راست ( یہی ) ہے ۔

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path."

آپ کے رب کی مہربانی سے ۔ وہ ہی ہے سننے والا جاننے والا ۔

As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

کوئی معبود نہیں اس کے سوا وُہی جلاتا ہے اور مارتا ہے وہی تمہارا رب ہے اور تمہارے اگلے باپ دادوں کا ۔

There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.

مگر جس پر اللہ کی مہربانی ہو جائے وہ زبردست اور رحم کرنے والا ہے ۔

Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

یہ صرف تیرے رب کا فضل ہے یہی ہے بڑی کامیابی ۔

As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment.

پس لیکن جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک کام کئے تو ان کو ان کا رب اپنی رحمت تلے لے لے گا یہی صریح کامیابی ہے ۔

So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment.

کیا وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اسے تو اس نے خود گھڑ لیا ہے آپ کہہ دیجئے! کہ اگر میں ہی اسے بنا لایا ہوں تو تم میرے لئے اللہ کی طرف سے کسی چیز کا اختیار نہیں رکھتے تم اس ( قرآن ) کے بارے میں جو کچھ کہہ سن رہے ہو اسے اللہ خوب جانتا ہے میرے اور تمہارے درمیان گواہی کے لئے وہی کافی ہے اور وہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful."

پھر جب انہوں نے عذاب کو بصورت بادل دیکھا اپنی وادیوں کی طرف آتے ہوئے تو کہنے لگے یہ ابر ہم پر برسنے والا ہے ( نہیں ) بلکہ دراصل یہ ابر وہ ( عذاب ) ہے جس کی تم جلدی کر رہے تھے ہوا ہے جس میں دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,

اس جنت کی صفت جس کا پرہیزگاروں سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے ، یہ ہے کہ اس میں پانی کی نہریں ہیں جو بد بو کرنے والا نہیں اور دودھ کی نہریں ہیں جن کا مزہ نہیں بدلا اور شراب کی نہریں ہیں جن میں پینے والوں کے لئے بڑی لذت ہے اور نہریں ہیں شہد کی جو بہت صاف ہیں اور ان کے لئے وہا ں ہر قسم کے میوے ہیں اور ان کے رب کی طرف سے مغفرت ہے ، کیا یہ مثل اس کے ہیں جو ہمیشہ آگ میں رہنے والا ہے؟ اور جنہیں گرم کھولتا ہوا پانی پلایا جائے گا جو ان کی آنتوں کو ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دیگا ۔

Is the description of Paradise, which the righteous are promised, wherein are rivers of water unaltered, rivers of milk the taste of which never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of purified honey, in which they will have from all [kinds of] fruits and forgiveness from their Lord, like [that of] those who abide eternally in the Fire and are given to drink scalding water that will sever their intestines?

وہی ہے جس نے مسلمانوں کے دلوں میں سکون ( اور اطمینان ) ڈال دیا تاکہ اپنے ایمان کے ساتھ ہی ساتھ اور بھی ایمان میں بڑھ جائیں اور آسمانوں اور زمین کے ( کل ) لشکر اللہ ہی کے ہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی دانا با حکمت ہے ۔

It is He who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and ever is Allah Knowing and Wise.

وہی ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور دین حق کے ساتھ بھیجا تاکہ اسے ہر دین پر غالب کرے ، اور اللہ تعالٰی کافی ہے گواہی دینے والا ۔

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness.

انہوں نے کہا ہاں تیرے پروردگار نے اسی طرح فرمایا ہے ، بیشک وہ حکیم و علیم ہے ۔

They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing."

اللہ تعالٰی تو خود ہی سب کا روزی رساں توانائی والا اور زور آور ہے ۔

Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.

ہم اس سے پہلے ہی اس کی عبادت کیا کرتے تھے بیشک وہ محسن اور مہربان ہے ۔

Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."

وہ تو صرف وحی ہے جو اتاری جاتی ہے ۔

It is not but a revelation revealed,

یہی ان کے علم کی انتہا ہے ۔ آپ کا رب اس سے خوب واقف ہے جو اس کی راہ سے بھٹک گیا ہے اور وہی خوب واقف ہے اس سے بھی جو راہ یافتہ ہے ۔

That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.

ان لوگوں کو جو بڑے گناہوں سے بچتے ہیں اور بے حیائی سے بھی سوائے کسی چھوٹے سے گناہ کے بیشک تیرا رب بہت کشادہ مغفرت والا ہے ، وہ تمہیں بخوبی جانتا ہے جبکہ اس نے تمہیں زمین سے پیدا کیا اور جبکہ تم اپنی ماؤں کے پیٹ میں بچے تھے پس تم اپنی پاکیزگی آپ بیان نہ کرو ۔ وہی پرہیزگاروں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.

ان لوگوں کو جو بڑے گناہوں سے بچتے ہیں اور بے حیائی سے بھی سوائے کسی چھوٹے سے گناہ کے بیشک تیرا رب بہت کشادہ مغفرت والا ہے ، وہ تمہیں بخوبی جانتا ہے جبکہ اس نے تمہیں زمین سے پیدا کیا اور جبکہ تم اپنی ماؤں کے پیٹ میں بچے تھے پس تم اپنی پاکیزگی آپ بیان نہ کرو ۔ وہی پرہیزگاروں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

اور یہ کہ وہی ہنساتا ہے اور وہی رلاتا ہے ۔

And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep

اور یہ کہ وہی مارتا ہے اور جلاتا ہے ۔

And that it is He who causes death and gives life

اور یہ کہ وہی مالدار بناتا ہے اور سرمایہ دیتا ہے ۔

And that it is He who enriches and suffices

اور یہ کہ وہی شعریٰ ( ستارے ) کا رب ہے ۔

And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius

کیا ہمارے سب کے درمیان صرف اسی پر وحی اتاری گئی؟ نہیں بلکہ وہ جھوٹا شیخی خور ہے ۔

Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."

سب آسمان و زمین والے اسی سے مانگتے ہیں ہر روز وہ ایک شان میں ہے ۔

Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

وہی پہلے ہے اور وہی پیچھے ، وہی ظاہر ہے اور وہی مخفی ، اورو ہی ہرچیز کو بخوبی جاننے والا ہے ۔

He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.

وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ دن میں پیدا کیا پھر عرش پر مستوی ہوگیا ۔ اور وہ ( خوب ) جانتا ہے اس چیز کو جو زمین میں جائے اور جو اس سے نکلے اور جو آسمان سے نیچے آئے اور جو کچھ چڑھ کر اس میں جائے اور جہاں کہیں تم ہو وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہے اور جو تم کر رہے ہو وہ اللہ دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.

وہ ( اللہ ) ہی ہے جو اپنے بندے پر واضح آیتیں اتارتا ہے تاکہ وہ تمہیں اندھیروں سے نور کی طرف لے جائے یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی تم پر نرمی کرنے والا رحم کرنے والا ہے ۔

It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.

۔ ( قیامت کے ) دن تو دیکھے گا کہ مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کا نور انکے آگے آگے اور ان کے دائیں دوڑ رہا ہوگا آج تمہیں ان جنتوں کی خوشخبری ہے جنکے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں جن میں ہمیشہ کی رہائش ہے ۔ یہ ہے بڑی کامیابی ۔

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

جو ( خود بھی ) بخل کریں اور دوسروں کو بھی بخل کی تعلیم دیں ۔ سنو! جو بھی منہ پھیرے اللہ بے نیاز اور سزاوار حمد و ثنا ہے ۔

[Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ آسمانوں کی اور زمین کی ہرچیز سے واقف ہے ۔ تین آدمیوں کی سرگوشی نہیں ہوتی مگر اللہ ان کا چوتھا ہوتا ہے اور نہ پانچ کی مگر ان کا چھٹا وہ ہوتا ہے اور نہ اس سے کم کی اور نہ زیادہ کی مگر وہ ساتھ ہی ہوتا ہے جہاں بھی وہ ہوں پھر قیامت کے دن انہیں ان کہ اعمال سے آگاہ کرے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز سے واقف ہے ۔

Have you not considered that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth? There is in no private conversation three but that He is the fourth of them, nor are there five but that He is the sixth of them - and no less than that and no more except that He is with them [in knowledge] wherever they are. Then He will inform them of what they did, on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing.

کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ آسمانوں کی اور زمین کی ہرچیز سے واقف ہے ۔ تین آدمیوں کی سرگوشی نہیں ہوتی مگر اللہ ان کا چوتھا ہوتا ہے اور نہ پانچ کی مگر ان کا چھٹا وہ ہوتا ہے اور نہ اس سے کم کی اور نہ زیادہ کی مگر وہ ساتھ ہی ہوتا ہے جہاں بھی وہ ہوں پھر قیامت کے دن انہیں ان کہ اعمال سے آگاہ کرے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز سے واقف ہے ۔

وہی ہے جس نے اہل کتاب میں سے کافروں کو ان کے گھروں سے پہلے حشر کے وقت نکالا تمہارا گمان ( بھی ) نہ تھا کہ وہ نکلیں گے اور وہ خود (بھی ) سمجھ رہے تھے کہ ان کے ( سنگین ) قلعے انہیں ‌اللہ ( كے ‌عذاب ) ‌سے ‌بچا ‌لیں ‌گے ‌پس ‌ان ‌پر ‌اللہ ‌ ( كا ‌عذاب ) ‌ایسی ‌جگہ ‌سے ‌آپڑا کہ انہیں گمان بھی نہ تھا اور ان کے دلوں میں اللہ نے رعب ڈال دیا اور وہ اپنے گھروں کو اپنے ہی ہاتھوں اجاڑ رہے تھے اور مسلمان کے ہاتھوں ( برباد کروا رہے تھے ) پس اے آنکھوں والو! عبرت حاصل کرو ۔

It is He who expelled the ones who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture from their homes at the first gathering. You did not think they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from Allah ; but [the decree of] Allah came upon them from where they had not expected, and He cast terror into their hearts [so] they destroyed their houses by their [own] hands and the hands of the believers. So take warning, O people of vision.

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں چھپے کھلے کا جاننے والا مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ۔

He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں چھپے کھلے کا جاننے والا مہربان اور رحم کرنے والا ۔

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں بادشاہ نہایت پاک سب عیبوں سے صاف امن دینے والا نگہبان غالب زورآور اور بڑائی والا پاک ہے اللہ ان چیزوں سے جنہیں یہ اس کا شریک بناتے ہیں ۔

وہی اللہ ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں بادشاہ نہایت پاک سب عیبوں سے صاف امن دینے والا نگہبان غالب زورآور اور بڑائی والا پاک ہے اللہ ان چیزوں سے جنہیں یہ اس کا شریک بناتے ہیں ۔

He is Allah , other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

وہی اللہ ہے پیدا کرنے والا وجود بخشنے والا صورت بنانے والا اسی کے لئے ( نہایت ) اچھے نام ہیں ہرچیز خواہ وہ آسمانوں میں ہو خواہ زمین میں ہو اس کی پاکی بیان کرتی ہے اور وہی غالب حکمت والا ہے ۔

He is Allah , the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

یقیناً تمہارے لئے ان میں اچھا نمونہ ( اور عمدہ پیروی ہے خاص کر ) ہر اس شخص کے لئے جو اللہ کی اور قیامت کے دن کی ملاقات کی امید رکھتا ہو اور اگر کوئی روگردانی کرے تو اللہ تعالٰی بالکل بے نیاز ہے اور سزاوار حمد و ثنا ہے ۔

There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

وہی ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور سچا دین دے کر بھیجا تاکہ اسے اور تمام مذاہب پر غالب کر دے اگرچہ مشرکین ناخوش ہوں ۔

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it.

وہی ہے جس نے ناخواندہ لوگوں میں ان ہی میں سے ایک رسول بھیجا جو انہیں اس کی آیتیں پڑھ کر سناتا ہے اور ان کو پاک کرتا ہے اور انہیں کتاب و حکمت سکھاتا ہے ۔ یقیناً یہ اس سے پہلے کھلی گمراہی میں تھے ۔

It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom - although they were before in clear error -

اسی نے تمہیں پیدا کیا سو تم میں سے بعضے تو کافر ہیں اور بعض ایمان والے ہیں اور جو کچھ تم کر رہے ہو اللہ تعالٰی خوب دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

It is He who created you, and among you is the disbeliever, and among you is the believer. And Allah , of what you do, is Seeing.
