سورة ق

شروع کرتا ہوں اللہ تعا لٰی کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے ۔

In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

ق! بہت بڑی شان والے اس قرآن کی قسم ہے ۔

Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...

بلکہ انہیں تعجب معلوم ہوا کہ ان کے پاس انہی میں سے ایک آگاہ کرنے والا آیا تو کافروں نے کہا کہ یہ ایک عجیب چیز ہے

But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing.

کیا جب ہم مر کر مٹی ہوجائیں گے ۔ پھر یہ واپسی دور ( از عقل ) ہے

When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."

زمین جو کچھ ان میں سے گھٹاتی ہے وہ ہمیں معلوم ہے اور ہمارے پاس سب یاد رکھنے والی کتاب ہے ۔

We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record.

بلکہ انہوں نے سچی بات کو جھوٹ کہا ہے جبکہ وہ ایک ان کے پاس پہنچ چکی پس وہ ایک الجھاؤ میں پڑ گئے ہیں ۔

But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.

کیا انہوں نے آسمان کو اپنے اوپر نہیں دیکھا؟ کہ ہم نے اسے کس طرح بنایا ہے اور زینت دی ہے اس میں کوئی شگاف نہیں ۔

Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts?

اور زمین کو ہم نے بچھا دیا ہے اور اس میں ہم نے پہاڑ ڈال دیئے ہیں اور اس میں ہم نے قسم قسم کی خوشنما چیزیں اگا دی ہیں ۔

And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind,

تاکہ ہر رجوع کرنے والے بندے کے لئے بینائی اور دانائی کا ذریعہ ہو ۔

Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah ].

اور ہم نے آسمان سے بابرکت پانی برسایا اور اس سے باغات اور کٹنے والے کھیت کے غلے پیدا کئے ۔

And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest

اور کھجوروں کے بلند و بالا درخت جن کے خوشے تہ بہ تہ ہیں ۔

And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers -

بندوں کی روزی کے لئے اور ہم نے پانی سے مردہ شہر کو زندہ کر دیا ۔ اسی طرح ( قبروں سے ) نکلنا ہے ۔

As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection.

ان سے پہلے نوح کی قوم نے اور رس والوں نے اور ثمود نے ۔

The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud

اور عاد نے اور فرعون نے اور برادران لوط نے ۔

And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot

اور ایکہ والوں نے اور تبع کی قوم نے بھی تکذیب کی تھی ۔ سب نے پیغمبروں کو جھٹلایا پس میرا وعدہ عذاب ان پر صادق آگیا ۔

And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled.

کیا ہم پہلی بار کے پیدا کرنے سے تھک گئے؟ بلکہ یہ لوگ نئی پیدائش کی طرف سے شک میں ہیں ۔

Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation.

ہم نے انسان کو پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کے دل میں جو خیالات اٹھتے ہیں ان سے ہم واقف ہیں اور ہم اس کی رگ جان سے بھی زیادہ اس سے قریب ہیں ۔

And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein

جس وقت دو لینے والے جا لیتے ہیں ایک دائیں طرف اور ایک بائیں طرف بیٹھا ہوا ہے ۔

When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left.

۔ ( انسان ) منہ سے کوئی لفظ نکال نہیں پاتا مگر کے اس کے پاس نگہبان تیار ہے ۔

Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].

اور موت کی بے ہوشی حق لے کرآ پہنچی ، یہی ہے جس سے تو بدکتا پھرتا تھا ۔

And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.

اور صور پھونک دیا جائے گا ۔ وعدہ ٔعذاب کا دن یہی ہے ۔

And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.

اور ہر شخص اس طرح آئے گا کہ اس کے ساتھ ایک لانے والا ہوگا اور ایک گواہی دینے والا

And every soul will come, with it a driver and a witness.

یقیناً تو اس سے غفلت میں تھا لیکن ہم نے تیرے سامنے سے پردہ ہٹا دیا پس آج تیری نگاہ بہت تیز ہے ۔

[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."

اس کا ہم نشین ( فرشتہ ) کہے گا یہ حاضر ہے جو کہ میرے پاس تھا

And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared."

ڈال دو جہنم میں ہر کافر سرکش کو ۔

[ Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,

جو نیک کام سے روکنے والا حد سے گزر جانے والا اور شک کرنے والا تھا ۔

Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,

جس نے اللہ کے ساتھ دوسرا معبود بنا لیا تھا پس اسے سخت عذاب میں ڈال دو ۔

Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment."

اس کا ہم نشین ( شیطان ) کہے گا اے ہمارے رب! میں نے اسے گمراہ نہیں کیا تھا بلکہ یہ خود ہی دور دراز کی گمراہی میں تھا

His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error."

حق تعالٰی فرمائے گا بس میرے سامنے جھگڑے کی بات مت کرو میں تو پہلے ہی تمہاری طرف وعید ( وعدۂ عذاب ) بھیج چکا تھا ۔

[ Allah ] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning.

میرے ہاں بات بد لتی نہیں اور نہ میں اپنے بندوں پر ذرا بھی ظلم کرنے والا ہوں ۔

The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants."

جس دن ہم دوزخ سے پوچھیں گے کیا تو بھر چکی؟ وہ جواب دے گی کیا کچھ اور زیادہ بھی ہے؟

On the Day We will say to Hell, "Have you been filled?" and it will say, "Are there some more,"

اور جنت پر ہیز گاروں کے لئے بالکل قریب کر دی جائے گی ذرا بھی دور نہ ہوگی؟

And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far,

یہ ہے جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا تھا ہر اس شخص کے لئے جو رجوع کرنے والا اور پابندی کرنے والا ہو ۔

[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah ] and keeper [of His covenant]

جو رحمٰن کا غائبانہ خوف رکھتا ہو اور توجہ والا دل لایا ہو ۔

Who feared the Most Merciful unseen and came with a heart returning [in repentance].

تم اس جنت میں سلامتی کے ساتھ داخل ہو جاؤ ۔ یہ ہمیشہ رہنے کا دن ہے ۔

Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."

یہ وہاں جو چاہیں انہیں ملے گا ( بلکہ ) ہمارے پاس اور بھی زیادہ ہے ۔

They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.

اور اس سے پہلے بھی ہم بہت سی امتوں کو ہلاک کر چکے ہیں جو ان سے طاقت میں بہت زیادہ تھیں وہ شہروں میں ڈھونڈھتے ہی رہ گئے کہ کوئی بھا گنے کا ٹھکانا ہے ۔

And how many a generation before them did We destroy who were greater than them in [striking] power and had explored throughout the lands. Is there any place of escape?

اس میں ہر صاحب دل کے لئے عبرت ہے اور اس کے لئے جو دل سےمتوجہ ہو کر کان لگائے اور وہ حاضر ہو ۔

Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].

یقیناً ہم نے آسمانوں اور زمین اور جو کچھ اس کے درمیان ہے سب کو ( صرف ) چھ دن میں پیدا کر دیا اور ہمیں تکان نے چھوا تک نہیں ۔

And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness.

پس یہ جو کچھ کہتے ہیں آپ اس پر صبر کریں اور اپنے رب کی تسبیح تعریف کے ساتھ بیان کریں سورج نکلنے سے پہلے بھی اور سورج غروب ہونے سے پہلے بھی

So be patient, [O Muhammad], over what they say and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting,

اور رات کے کسی وقت بھی تسبیح کریں اور نماز کے بعد بھی ۔

And [in part] of the night exalt Him and after prostration.

اور سن رکھیں کہ جس دن ایک پکارنے والا قریب ہی کی جگہ سے پکارے گا ۔

And listen on the Day when the Caller will call out from a place that is near -

جس روز اس تند و تیز چیخ کو یقین کے ساتھ سن لیں گے یہ دن ہوگا نکلنے کا ۔

The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

ہم ہی جلاتے ہیں اور ہم ہی مارتے ہیں اور ہماری ہی طرف لوٹ پھرکر آنا ہے ۔

Indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and to Us is the destination

جس دن زمین پھٹ جائے گی اور یہ دوڑتے ہوئے ( نکل پڑیں گے ) یہ جمع کر لینا ہم پر بہت ہی آسان ہے ۔

On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.

یہ جو کچھ کہہ رہے ہیں ہم بخوبی جانتے ہیں اور آپ ان پر جبر کرنے والے نہیں ، تو آپ قرآن کے ذریعے انہیں سمجھاتے رہیں جو میرے وعید ( ڈراوے کے وعدوں ) سے ڈرتے ہیں ۔

We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not over them a tyrant. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat.
