الفاظ ( اِنْ )

اور ان لوگوں کو پاک دامن رہنا چاہیے جو اپنا نکاح کرنے کا مقدور نہیں رکھتے یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالٰی انہیں اپنے فضل سے مالدار بنا دے ، تمہارے غلاموں میں سے جو کوئی کچھ تمہیں دے کر آزادی کی تحریر کرانی چاہے تو تم ایسی تحریر انہیں کر دیا کرو اگر تم کو ان میں کوئی بھلائی نظر آتی ہو اور اللہ نے جو مال تمہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے انہیں بھی دو ، تمہاری جو لونڈیاں پاک دامن رہنا چاہتی ہیں انہیں دنیا کی زندگی کے فائدے کی غرض سے بدکاری پر مجبور نہ کرو اور جو انہیں مجبور کر دے تو اللہ تعالٰی ان پر جبر کے بعد بخش دینے والا اور مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess - then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek [thereby] the temporary interests of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is [to them], after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful.

اور کافروں نے کہا یہ تو بس خود اسی کا گھڑا گھڑایا جھوٹ ہے جس پر اور لوگوں نے بھی اس کی مدد کی ہے ، دراصل یہ کافر بڑے ہی ظلم اور سرتاسر جھوٹ کے مرتکب ہوئے ہیں ۔

And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.

یا اس کے پاس کوئی خزانہ ہی ڈال دیا جاتا یا اس کا کوئی باغ ہی ہوتا جس میں سے یہ کھاتا اور ان ظالموں نے کہا کہ تم ایسے آدمی کے پیچھے ہو لئے ہو جس پر جادو کر دیا گیا ہے ۔

Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

اللہ تعالٰی تو ایسا بابرکت ہے کہ اگر چاہے تو آپ کو بہت سے ایسے باغات عنایت فرما دے جو ان کے کہے ہوئے باغ سے بہت ہی بہتر ہوں جس کے نیچے نہریں لہریں لے رہی ہوں اور آپ کو بہت سے ( پختہ ) محل بھی دے دے ۔

Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.

اور تمہیں جب کبھی دیکھتے ہیں تو تم سے مسخر پن کرنے لگتے ہیں ۔ کہ کیا یہی وہ شخص ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے رسول بنا کر بھیجا ہے

And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?

۔ ( وہ تو کہئے ) کہ ہم اس پر جمے رہے ورنہ انہوں نے تو ہمیں ہمارے معبودوں سے بہکا دینے میں کوئی کسر نہیں چھوڑی تھی اور یہ جب عذابوں کو دیکھیں گے تو انہیں صاف معلوم ہوجائے گا کہ پوری طرح راہ سے بھٹکا ہوا کون تھا؟

He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

کیا آپ اسی خیال میں ہیں کہ ان میں سے اکثر سنتے یا سمجھتے ہیں ۔ وہ تو نرے چوپایوں جیسے ہیں بلکہ ان سے بھی زیادہ بھٹکے ہوئے ۔

Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.

اگر ہم چاہتے تو ان پر آسمان سے کوئی ایسی نشانی اتارتے کہ جس کے سامنے ان کی گردنیں خم ہوجاتیں ۔

If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.

۔ ( حضرت ) موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے فرمایا وہ آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی تمام چیزوں کا رب ہے ، اگر تم یقین رکھنے والے ہو ۔

[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."

۔ ( حضرت ) موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے فرمایا ! وہ ہی مشرق و مغرب کا اور ان کے درمیان کی تمام چیزوں کا رب ہے ، اگر تم عقل رکھتے ہو ۔

[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."

فرعون نے کہا اگر تو سچوں میں سے ہے تو اسے پیش کر ۔

[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."

تاکہ اگر جادوگر غالب آجائیں تو ہم ان ہی کی پیروی کریں ۔

That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"

جادوگر آکر فرعون سے کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم جیت گئے تو ہمیں کچھ انعام بھی ملے گا؟

And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"

کہ قسم اللہ کی! یقیناً ہم تو کھلی غلطی پر تھے ۔

"By Allah , we were indeed in manifest error

میں تم سے اس پر کوئی اجر نہیں چاہتا ، میرا بدلہ تو صرف رب العالمین کے ہاں ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

ان کا حساب تو میرے رب کے ذمہ ہے اگر تمہیں شعور ہو تو ۔

Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive.

میں تو صاف طور پر ڈرا دینے والا ہوں ۔

I am only a clear warner."

میں اس پر تم سے کوئی اجرت طلب نہیں کرتا میرا ثواب تو تمام جہان کے پروردگار کے پاس ہی ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

یہ تو بس پرانے لوگوں کی عادت ہے ۔

This is not but the custom of the former peoples,

میں اس پر تم سے کوئی اجرت نہیں مانگتا ، میری اجرت تو بس پروردگار عالم پر ہی ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

تو تو ہم جیسا ہی انسان ہے ۔ اگر تو سچوں سے ہے تو کوئی معجزہ لے آ ۔

You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."

میں تم سے اس پر کوئی بدلہ نہیں مانگتا میرا اجر تو صرف اللہ تعالٰی پر ہے جو تمام جہان کا رب ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

میں اس پر تم سے کوئی اجرت نہیں چاہتا ، میرا اجر تمام جہانوں کے پالنے والے کے پاس ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

اگر تو سچے لوگوں میں سے ہے تو ہم پر آسمان کے ٹکڑے گرا دے ۔

So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."

اچھا یہ بھی بتاؤ کہ اگر ہم نے انہیں کئی سال بھی فائدہ اُٹھانے دیا ۔

Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years

کیا وہ جو مخلوق کی اول دفعہ پیدائش کرتا ہے پھر اسے لوٹائے گا اور جو تمہیں آسمان اور زمین سے روزیاں دے رہا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ہے کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر سچے ہو تو اپنی دلیل لاؤ ۔

Is He [not best] who begins creation and then repeats it and who provides for you from the heaven and earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

ہم اور ہمارے باپ دادوں کو بہت پہلے سے یہ وعدے دیئے جاتے رہے ۔ کچھ نہیں یہ تو صرف اگلوں کے افسانے ہیں ۔

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples."

کہتے ہیں کہ یہ وعدہ کب ہے اگر سچے ہو تو بتلا دو ۔

And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?"

اور نہ آپ اندھوں کو ان کی گمراہی سے ہٹا کر رہنمائی کر سکتے ہیں آپ تو صرف انہیں سنا سکتے ہیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لائے ہیں پھر وہ فرمانبردار ہو جاتے ہیں ۔

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah ].

موسٰی ( علیہ السلام ) کی والدہ کا دل بے قرار ہوگیا قریب تھیں کہ اس واقعہ کو بالکل ظاہر کر دیتیں اگر ہم ان کے دل کو ڈھارس نہ دے دیتے یہ اس لئے کہ وہ یقین کرنے والوں میں رہے ۔

And the heart of Moses' mother became empty [of all else]. She was about to disclose [the matter concerning] him had We not bound fast her heart that she would be of the believers.

پھر جب اپنے اور اس کے دشمن کو پکڑنا چاہا وہ فریادی کہنے لگا کہ موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کیا جس طرح تو نے کل ایک شخص کو قتل کیا ہے مجھے بھی مار ڈالنا چاہتا ہے ، تو تو ملک میں ظالم و سرکش ہونا ہی چاہتا ہے اور تیرا یہ ارادہ ہی نہیں کہ ملاپ کرنے والوں میں سے ہو ۔

And when he wanted to strike the one who was an enemy to both of them, he said, "O Moses, do you intend to kill me as you killed someone yesterday? You only want to be a tyrant in the land and do not want to be of the amenders."

اس بزرگ نے کہا میں اپنی دونوں لڑکیوں میں سے ایک کو آپ کے نکاح ٰمیں دینا چاہتا ہوں اس ( مہر پر ) کہ آپ آٹھ سال تک میرا کام کاج کریں ۔ ہاں اگر آپ دس سال پورے کریں تو یہ آپ کی طرف سے بطور احسان کے ہے میں یہ ہرگز نہیں چاہتا کہ آپ کو کسی مشقت میں ڈالوں ، اللہ کو منظور ہے تو آگے چل کر مجھے بھلا آدمی پائیں گے ۔

He said, "Indeed, I wish to wed you one of these, my two daughters, on [the condition] that you serve me for eight years; but if you complete ten, it will be [as a favor] from you. And I do not wish to put you in difficulty. You will find me, if Allah wills, from among the righteous."

کہہ دے کہ اگر سچے ہو تو تم بھی اللہ کے پاس سے کوئی ایسی کتاب لے آؤ جو ان دونوں سے زیادہ ہدایت والی ہو میں اسی کی پیروی کرونگا ۔

Say, "Then bring a scripture from Allah which is more guiding than either of them that I may follow it, if you should be truthful."

کہنے لگے اگر ہم آپ کے ساتھ ہو کر ہدایت کے تابعدار بن جائیں تو ہم تو اپنے ملک سے اچک لئے جائیں کیا ہم نے انہیں امن و امان اور حرمت والے حرم میں جگہ نہیں دی؟ جہاں تمام چیزوں کے پھل کھچےچلے آتے ہیں جو ہمارے پاس بطور رزق کے ہیں لیکن ان میں سے اکثر کچھ نہیں جانتے ۔

And they say, "If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would be swept from our land." Have we not established for them a safe sanctuary to which are brought the fruits of all things as provision from Us? But most of them do not know.

کہہ دیجئے! کہ دیکھو تو سہی اگر اللہ تعالٰی تم پر رات ہی رات قیامت تک برابر کر دے تو سوائے اللہ کے کون معبود ہے جو تمہارے پاس دن کی روشنی لائے؟ کیا تم سنتے نہیں ہو؟

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you light? Then will you not hear?"

پوچھئے! کہ یہ بھی بتا دو کہ اگر اللہ تعالٰی تم پر ہمیشہ قیامت تک دن ہی دن رکھے تو بھی سوائے اللہ تعالٰی کے کوئی معبود ہے جو تمہارے پاس رات لے آئے؟ جس میں تم آرام حاصل کر و کیا تم دیکھ نہیں رہے ہو؟

Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the day continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you a night in which you may rest? Then will you not see?"

اور ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) نے بھی اپنی قوم سے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالٰی کی عبادت کرو اور اس سے ڈرتے رہو ، اگر تم میں دانائی ہے تو یہی تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے ۔

And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know.

کیا تم مردوں کے پاس بد فعلی کے لئے آتے ہو اور راستے بند کرتے ہو اور اپنی عام مجلسوں میں بے حیائیوں کا کام کرتے ہو ؟ اس کے جواب میں اس کی قوم نے بجز اس کے اور کچھ نہیں کہا کہ بس جا اگر سچا ہے تو ہمارے پاس اللہ تعالٰی کا عذاب لے آ ۔

Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah , if you should be of the truthful."

اور نہ آپ اندھوں کو ان کی گمراہی سے ہدایت کرنے والے ہیں آپ تو صرف ان ہی لوگوں کو سناتے ہیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں پس وہی اطاعت کرنے والے ہیں ۔

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allah ].

بیشک ہم نے اس قرآن میں لوگوں کے سامنے کل مثالیں بیان کر دی ہیں آپ ان کے پاس کوئی بھی نشانی لائیں یہ کافر تو یہی کہیں گے کہ تم ( بیہودہ گو ) بالکل جھوٹے ہو ۔

And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers."

پیارے بیٹے! اگر کوئی چیز رائی کے دانے کے برابر ہو پھر وہ ( بھی ) خواہ کسی چٹان میں ہو یا آسمانوں میں ہو یا زمین میں ہو اسے اللہ تعالٰی ضرور لائے گا اللہ تعالٰی بڑا باریک بین اور خبردار ہے ۔

[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.

اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ فیصلہ کب ہوگا ، اگر تم سچے ہو تو ( بتلاؤ ) ۔

And they say, "When will be this conquest, if you should be truthful?"

ان ہی کی ایک جماعت نے ہانک لگائی کہ اے مدینہ والو!تمہارے لئے ٹھکانا نہیں چلو لوٹ چلو اور ان کی ایک اورجماعت یہ کہہ کر نبی ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) سے اجازت مانگنے لگی ہمارے گھر غیر محفوظ ہیں حالانکہ وہ ( کھلے ہوئے اور ) غیر محفوظ نہ تھے ( لیکن ) ان کا پختہ ارادہ بھاگ کھڑے ہونے کا تھا ۔

And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.

کہہ دیجئے کہ گو تم موت سے یا خوف قتل سے بھاگو تو یہ بھاگنا تمہیں کچھ بھی کام نہ آئے گا اور اسوقت تم بہت ہی کم فائدہ اٹھاؤ گے ۔

Say, [O Muhammad], "Never will fleeing benefit you if you should flee from death or killing; and then [if you did], you would not be given enjoyment [of life] except for a little."

پوچھئے!تو کہ اگر اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں کوئی برائی پہنچانا چاہے یا تم پر کوئی فضل کرنا چاہے تو کون ہے جو تمہیں بچا سکے ( یا تم سے روک سکے؟ ) اپنے لئے بجز اللہ تعالٰی کے نہ کوئی حمائتی پائیں گے نہ مدد گار ۔

Say, "Who is it that can protect you from Allah if He intends for you an ill or intends for you a mercy?" And they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or any helper.

تاکہ اللہ تعالٰی سچوں کو ان کی سچائی کا بدلہ دے اور اگر چاہے تو منافقوں کو سزا دے یا ان کی توبہ قبول فرمائے اللہ تعالٰی بڑا ہی بخشنے والا بہت ہی مہربان ہے ۔

That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

اے نبی! اپنی بیویوں سے کہہ دو کہ اگر تم زندگانی دنیا اور زینت دنیا چاہتی ہو تو آؤ میں تمہیں کچھ دے دلا دوں اور تمہیں اچھائی کے ساتھ رخصت کر دوں ۔

O Prophet, say to your wives, "If you should desire the worldly life and its adornment, then come, I will provide for you and give you a gracious release.

اے نبی! ہم نے تیرے لئے تیری وہ بیویاں حلال کر دی ہیں جنہیں تو ان کے مہر دے چکا ہے اور وہ لونڈیاں بھی جو اللہ تعالٰی نے غنیمت میں تجھے دی ہیں اور تیرے چچا کی لڑکیاں اور پھوپھیوں کی بیٹیاں اور تیرے ماموں کی بیٹیاں اور تیری خالاؤں کی بیٹیاں بھی جنہوں نے تیرے ساتھ ہجرت کی ہے اور وہ با ایمان عورت جو اپنا نفس نبی کو ہبہ کر دے یہ اس صورت میں کہ خود نبی بھی اس سے نکاح کرنا چاہے یہ خاص طور پر صرف تیرے لئے ہی ہے اور مومنوں کے لئے نہیں ہم اسے بخوبی جانتے ہیں جو ہم نے ان پر ان کی بیویوں اور لونڈیوں کے بارے میں ( احکام ) مقرر کر رکھے ہیں یہ اس لئے کہ تجھ پر حرج واقع نہ ہو اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے اور بڑے رحم والا ہے ۔

O Prophet, indeed We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation and those your right hand possesses from what Allah has returned to you [of captives] and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet [and] if the Prophet wishes to marry her, [this is] only for you, excluding the [other] believers. We certainly know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and those their right hands possess, [but this is for you] in order that there will be upon you no discomfort. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

اے نبی! ہم نے تیرے لئے تیری وہ بیویاں حلال کر دی ہیں جنہیں تو ان کے مہر دے چکا ہے اور وہ لونڈیاں بھی جو اللہ تعالٰی نے غنیمت میں تجھے دی ہیں اور تیرے چچا کی لڑکیاں اور پھوپھیوں کی بیٹیاں اور تیرے ماموں کی بیٹیاں اور تیری خالاؤں کی بیٹیاں بھی جنہوں نے تیرے ساتھ ہجرت کی ہے اور وہ با ایمان عورت جو اپنا نفس نبی کو ہبہ کر دے یہ اس صورت میں کہ خود نبی بھی اس سے نکاح کرنا چاہے یہ خاص طور پر صرف تیرے لئے ہی ہے اور مومنوں کے لئے نہیں ہم اسے بخوبی جانتے ہیں جو ہم نے ان پر ان کی بیویوں اور لونڈیوں کے بارے میں ( احکام ) مقرر کر رکھے ہیں یہ اس لئے کہ تجھ پر حرج واقع نہ ہو اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے اور بڑے رحم والا ہے ۔

تم کسی چیز کو ظاہر کر و یامخفی رکھو اللہ تو ہرہرچیز کا بخوبی علم رکھنے والا ہے ۔

Whether you reveal a thing or conceal it, indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing.
