In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
These are the verses of the clear Book.
Yeh aayaten roshan kitab ki hain.
ये स्पष्ट किताब की आयतें हैं
Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.
Inn kay eman na laaney per shayad aap to apni jaan kho den gay.
शायद इस पर कि वे ईमान नहीं लाते, तुम अपने प्राण ही खो बैठोगे
If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.
Agar hum chahatay to inn per aasman say koi aisi nishani utartay kay jiss kay samney inn ki gardaney khum ho jatin.
यदि हम चाहें तो उन पर आकाश से एक निशानी उतार दें। फिर उन की गर्दनें उस के आगे झुकी रह जाएँ
And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.
Aur inn kay pass rehman ki taraf say jo bhi naee naseehat aaee yeh uss say roo-gardani kerney walay bann gaye.
उन के पास रहमान की ओर से जो नवीन अनुस्मृति भी आती है, वे उस से मुँह फेर ही लेते हैं
For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.
Inn logon ney jhutlaya hai abb inn kay pass jaldi say iss ki khabren aajyen gi jiss kay sath woh maskhara pann ker rahey hain.
अब जबकि वे झुठला चुके हैं, तो शीघ्र ही उन्हें उस की हक़ीकत मालूम हो जाएगी, जिस का वे मज़ाक़ उड़ाते रहे हैं
Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind?
Kiya enhon ney zamin per nazaren nahi daalen? Kay hum ney iss mein her tarah kay nafees joray kiss qadar ugaye hain?
क्या उन्होंने धरती को नहीं देखा कि हम ने उस में कितने ही प्रकार की उमदा चीज़ें पैदा की है?
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
Be-shak iss mein yaqeenan nishani hai aur inn mein kay aksar log momin nahi hain.
निश्चय ही इसमें एक बड़ी निशानी है, इस पर भी उन में से अधिकतर मानने वाले नहीं
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Aur tera rab yaqeenan wohi ghalib aur meharbaan hai.
और निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब ही है जो बड़ा प्रभुत्वशाली, अत्यन्त दयावान है
And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people -
Aur jabb aap kay rab ney musa ( alh-e-salam ) ko aawaz di kay tu zalim qom kay pass jaa.
और जबकि तुम्हारे रब ने मूसा को पुकारा कि "ज़ालिम लोगों के पास जा -
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah ?"
Qom-e-firaon kay pass kiya woh perhezgari na keren gay.
फ़िरऔन की क़ौम के पास - क्या वे डर नहीं रखते?"
He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me
Musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha meray perwerdigar! Mujhay to khof hai kay kahin woh mujhay jhutla ( na ) den.
उस ने कहा, "ऐ मेरे रब! मुझे डर है कि वे मुझे झुठला देंगे,
And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.
Aur mera seena tang horaha hai meri zaban chal nahi rahi pus tu haroon ki taraf bhi ( wahee ) bhej.
और मेरा सीना घुटता है और मेरी ज़बान नहीं चलती। इसलिए हारून की ओर भी संदेश भेज दे
And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."
Aur unn ka meray aik qasoor ka ( dawa ) bhi hai mujhay darr hai kay kahin woh mujhay maar na dalen.
और मुझ पर उन के यहाँ के एक गुनाह का बोझ भी है। इसलिए मैं डरता हूँ कि वे मुझे मार डालेंगे।"
[ Allah ] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.
Janab-e-baari ney farmaya! Hergiz aisa na hoga tum dono humari nishaniyan ley ker jao hum khud sunnay walay tumharay sath hain.
कहा, "कदापि नहीं, तुम दोनों हमारी निशानियाँ लेकर जाओ। हम तुम्हारे साथ है, सुनने को मौजूद है
Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,
Tum dono firaon kay pass ja ker kaho kay bila shuba hum rab-ul-aalamaeen kay bhejay huye hain.
अतः तुम दोनो फ़िरऔन के पास जाओ और कहो कि हम सारे संसार के रब के भेजे हुए हैं
[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'"
Kay tu humaray sath bani israeel ko rawana ker dey.
कि तू इसराईल की सन्तान को हमारे साथ जाने दे।"
[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?
Fairaon ney kaha kiya hum ney tujhay teray bachpan kay zamaney mein apnay haan nahi pala tha? Aur tu ney apni umar kay boht say saal hum mein nahi guzaray?
(फ़िरऔन ने) कहा, "क्या हम ने तुझे जबकि तू बच्चा था, अपने यहाँ पाला नहीं था? और तू अपनी अवस्था के कई वर्षों तक हमारे साथ रहा,
And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."
Phir tu apna woh kaam ker gaya jo ker gaya aur tu na shukro mein hai.
और तूने अपना वह काम किया, जो किया। तू बड़ा ही कृतघ्न है।"
[Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray.
( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney jawab diya kay mein ney uss kaam ko uss waqt kiya tha jabkay mein raah bhoolay huye logon mein say tha.
कहा, ऐसा तो मुझ से उस समय हुआ जबकि मैं चूक गया था
So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers.
Phir tum say khof kha ker mein tum mein say bhaag gaya phir mujhay meray rab ney hukum-o-ilm ata farmaya aur mujhay apnay payghumbaron mein say ker diya.
फिर जब मुझे तुम्हारा भय हुआ तो मैं तुम्हारे यहाँ से भाग गया। फिर मेरे रब ने मुझे निर्णय-शक्ति प्रदान की और मुझे रसूलों में सम्मिलित किया
And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"
Mujh per tera kiya yehi woh ehsan hai? Jissay tu jata raha hai kay tu ney bani israeel ko ghulam bana rakha hai.
यही वह उदार अनुग्रह है जिस का एहसान तू मुझ पर जताता है कि तूने इसराईल की सन्तान को ग़ुलाम बना रखा है।"
Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"
Firaon ney kaha rab-ul-aalameen kiya cheez hai?
फ़िरऔन ने कहा, "और यह सारे संसार का रब क्या होता है?"
[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."
( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney farmaya woh aasamano aur zamin aur inn kay darmiyan ki tamam cheezon ka rab hai agar tum yaqeen rakhney walay ho.
उस ने कहा, "आकाशों और धरती का रब और जो कुछ इन दोनों के मध्य है उस का भी, यदि तुम्हें यकीन हो।"
[Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"
Firaon ney apney ird-gird walon say kaha kay kiya tum sunn nahi rahey?
उस ने अपने आस-पासवालों से कहा, "क्या तुम सुनते नहीं हो?"
[Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."
( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney farmaya woh tumhara aur tumharay aglay baap dadon ka perwerdigar hai.
कहा, "तुम्हारा रब और तुम्हारे अगले बाप-दादा का रब।"
[Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad."
Firaon ney kaha ( logo! ) tumhara yeh rasool jo tumhari taraf bheja gaya hai yeh to yaqeenan deewana hai.
बोला, "निश्चय ही तुम्हारा यह रसूल, जो तुम्हारी ओर भेजा गया है, बिलकुल ही पागल है।"
[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."
( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney farmaya! Wohi mashriq-o-maghrib ka aur inn kay darmiyan ki tamam cheezon ka rab hai agar tum aqal rakhtay ho.
उस ने कहा, "पूर्व और पश्चिम का रब और जो कुछ उन के बीच है उस का भी, यदि तुम कुछ बुद्धि रखते हो।"
[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."
Firaon kehney laga sunn ley! Agar tu ney meray siwa kissi aur ko mabood banaya tu mein tujhay qaidiyon mein daal doon ga.
बोला, "यदि तूने मेरे सिवा किसी और को पूज्य एवं प्रभु बनाया, तो मैं तुझे बन्दी बनाकर रहूँगा।"
[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"
Musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha agar cheh mein teray pass koi khulli cheez ley aaon?
उस ने कहा, "क्या यदि मैं तेरे पास एक स्पष्ट चीज़ ले आऊँ तब भी?"
[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."
Firaon ney kaha agar tum sachon mein say hai to issay paish ker.
बोलाः “अच्छा वह ले आ; यदि तू सच्चा है” ।
So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest.
Aap ney ( ussi waqt ) apni laathi daal di jo achanak khullam khulla ( zabardast ) azdaha bann gaee.
फिर उस ने अपनी लाठी डाल दी, तो अचानक क्या देखते हैं कि वह एक प्रत्यक्ष अजगर है
And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers.
Aur apna hath khench nikala to woh bhi ussi waqt her dekhney walay ko safaid chamkeela nazar aaney laga.
और उस ने अपना हाथ बाहर खींचा तो फिर क्या देखते हैं कि वह देखने वालों के सामने चमक रहा है
[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.
Firaon apnay aas pass kay sardaron say kehney laga bhaee yeh to koi bara dana jadoogar hai.
उस ने अपने आस-पास के सरदारों से कहा, "निश्चय ही यह एक बड़ा ही प्रवीण जादूगर है
He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
Yeh to chahata hai kay apnay jadoo kay zor say tumhen tumhari sirzameen say nikal dey batao abb tum kiya hukum detay ho.
चाहता है कि अपने जादू से तुम्हें तुम्हारी अपनी भूमि से निकाल बाहर करें; तो अब तुम क्या कहते हो?"
They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers
Unn sab ney kaha aap issay aur iss kay bhai ko mohlat dijiye aur tamam shehron mein harkaaray bhej dijiye.
उन्होंने कहा, "इसे और इस के भाई को अभी टाले रखिए, और एकत्र करने वालों को नगरों में भेज दीजिए
Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician."
Jo aap kay pass zee ilm jadoogaron ko ley aayen.
कि वे प्रत्येक प्रवीण जादूगर को आप के पास ले आएँ।"
So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day.
Phir aik muqarrara din kay waday per tamam jadoogar jama kiye gaye.
अतएव एक निश्चित दिन के नियत समय पर जादूगर एकत्र कर लिए गए
And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate
Aur aam logon say bhi keh diya gaya kay tum bhi majmay mein hazir hojao gay?
और लोगों से कहा गया, "क्या तुम भी एकत्र होते हो?"
That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"
Takay agar jadoogar ghalib aajayen to hum unhi ki pairwee keren.
कदाचित हम जादूगरों ही के अनुयायी रह जाएँ, यदि वे विजयी हुए
And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"
Jadoogar agar firaon say kehney lagay kay agar hum jeet gaye to humen kuch inam bhi milay ga?
फिर जब जादूगर आए तो उन्होंने फ़िरऔन से कहा, "क्या हमारे लिए कोई प्रतिदान भी है, यदि हम प्रभावी रहे?"
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."
Firaon ney kaha haan! ( bari khushi say ) bulkay aisi soorat mein tum meray khas darbari bann jao gay.
उस ने कहा, "हाँ, और निश्चित ही तुम तो उस समय निकटतम लोगों में से हो जाओगे।"
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."
( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney jadoogaron say farmaya jo kuch tumhen dalna hai daal do.
मूसा ने उन से कहा, "डालो, जो कुछ तुम्हें डालना है।"
So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."
Unhon ney apni rassiyan aur laathiyan daal den aur kehney lagay izzat firaon ki qasam! Hum yaqeenan ghalib hi rahen gay.
तब उन्होंने अपनी रस्सियाँ और लाठियाँ डाल दी और बोले, "फ़िरऔन के प्रताप से हम ही विजयी रहेंगे।"
Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified.
Abb ( hazrat ) musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney bhi apni laathi maidan mein daal di jiss ney ussi waqt unn kay jhoot moot kay kartab ko nigalna shuroo ker diya.
फिर मूसा ने अपनी लाठी फेकी तो क्या देखते हैं कि वह उसे स्वाँग को, जो वे रचाते हैं, निगलती जा रही है
So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah ].
Yeh dekhtay hi jadoogar bay ikhtiyar sajday mein gir gaye.
इस पर जादूगर सजदे में गिर पड़े
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,
Aur unhon ney saaf keh diya kay hum to Allah rab-ul-aalameen per eman laye.
वे बोल उठे, "हम सारे संसार के रब पर ईमान ले आए -
The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
Yani musa ( alh-e-salam ) aur haroon kay rab per.
मूसा और हारून के रब पर!"
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."
Firaon ney kaha kay meri ijazat say pehlay tum iss per eman ley aaye? Yaqeenan yehi tumhara woh bara ( sardar ) hai jiss ney tum sab ko jadoo sikhaya hai so tumhen abhi abhi maloom ho jaye ga qasam hai mein abhi tumharay haath paon ultay tor per kaat doon ga aur tum sab ko sooli per latka doon ga.
उस ने कहा, "तुम ने उस को मान लिया, इस से पहले कि मैं तुम्हें अनुमति देता। निश्चय ही वह तुम सबका प्रमुख है, जिस ने तुम को जादू सिखाया है। अच्छा, शीघ्र ही तुम्हें मालूम हुआ जाता है! मैं तुम्हारे हाथ और पाँव विपरीत दिशाओं से कटवा दूँगा और तुम सभी को सूली पर चढ़ा दूँगा।"
