And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.
Aur sath hi meray azab bhi nihayat dard naak hain.
और मेरी सज़ा दर्दनाक सज़ा है।
And inform them about the guests of Abraham,
Enhen ibrahim kay mehmanon ka ( bhi ) haal suna do.
और उनको इब्राहीम (अलै॰) के मेहमानों से आगाह कीजिए।
When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you."
Kay jab unhon ney unn kay pass aaker salam kiya to unhon ney kaha kay hum ko tum say darr lagta hai.
जब वे उसके पास आए फिर उन्होंने सलाम किया, इब्राहीम (अलै॰) ने कहा कि हमें तो तुम से डर लग रहा है।
[The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy."
Unhon ney kaha daro nahi hum tujhay aik saahib-e-ilm farzand ki bisharat detay hain.
उन्होंने कहाः डरिए मत, हम तो आपको एक लड़के की बशारत देते हैं, जो बड़ा आलिम होगा।
He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?"
Kaha kiya iss burhapay kay aajaney kay baad tum mujhay khushkhabri detay ho! Yeh khushkhabri tum kaisay dey rahey ho?
इब्राहीम (अलै॰) ने कहाः क्या तुम इस बुढ़ापे में मुझको औलाद की बशारत देते हो, पस तुम किस चीज़ की बशारत मुझको दे रहे हो?
They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing."
Unhon ney kaha hum aap ko bilkul sachi khushkhabri sunatay hain aap mayus logon mein shamil na hon.
उन्होंने कहाः हम आपको हक़ के साथ बशारत देते हैं, पस आप ना-उम्मीद होने वालों में से न बनें।
He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"
Kiya apney rab taalaa ki rehmat say na umeed to sirf gumrah aur behkay huye log hi hotay hain.
इब्राहीम (अलै॰) ने कहा कि अपने रब की रहमत से गुमराहों के सिवा और कौन ना-उम्मीद हो सकता है।
[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"
Poocha kay Allah kay bhejay huye ( farishto! ) tumhara aisa kiya eham kaam hai?
कहा कि ऐ भेजे हुए फ़रिश्तो! अब तुम्हारा क्या काम है?
They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals,
Unhon ney jawab diya kay hum mujrim qom ki taraf bhejay gaye hain.
उन्होंने कहा कि हम एक मुजरिम क़ौम की तरफ़ भेजे गए हैं।
Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all
Magar khaandan-e-loot kay hum unn sab ko to zaroor bacha len gay.
मगर लूत (अलै॰) के घर वाले कि हम उन सबको बचा लेंगे।
Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind.
Siwaye uss ( loot ) ki biwi kay kay hum ney ussay rukney aur baqi reh janey walon mein muqarrar ker diya hai.
सिवाए उनकी बीवी के कि हमने अंदाज़ा कर लिया है कि वह ज़रूर मुजरिम लोगों में रह जाएगी।
And when the messengers came to the family of Lot,
Jab bhejay huye farishtay aal-e-loot kay pass phonchay.
फिर जब भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते लूत (अलै॰) के ख़ानदान वालों के पास आए।
He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown."
To unhon ( loot alh-e-salam ) ney kaha tum log to kuch anjan say maloon horahey ho.
उन्होंने कहा कि तुम लोग अजनबी मालूम होते हो।
They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing,
Unhon ney kaha nahi bulkay hum teray pass woh cheez laye hain jiss mein yeh log shak-o-shuba ker rahey thay.
उन्होंने कहाः नहीं; बल्कि हम आपके पास वह चीज़ लेकर आए हैं जिसमें ये लोग शक करते हैं।
And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful.
Hum to teray pass ( sareeh ) haq laye hain aur hain bhi bilkul sachay.
और हम आपके पास हक़ के साथ आए हैं और हम बिल्कुल सच्चे हैं।
So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded."
Abb tu apney khaandan samet iss raat kay kissi hissay mein chal dey aur aap inn kay peechay rehna aur ( khabardaar ) tum mein say koi ( peechay ) murr ker bhi na dekhay aur jahan ka tumhen hukum kiya jaraha hai wahan chalay jana.
अब आप अपने ख़ानदान समेत इस रात के किसी हिस्से में चल दीजिए और आप उनके पीछे रहना, और (ख़बरदार) तुम में कोई पीछे मुड़ कर न देखे और जहाँ का तुम्हें हुक्म किया जा रहा है वहाँ चले जाना।
And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning.
Aur hum ney uss ki taraf iss baat ka faisla ker diya kay subha hotay hotay inn logon ki jaren kaat di jayen gi.
और हमने लूत (अलै॰) के पास यह हुक्म भेजा कि सुबह होते ही उन लोगों की जड़ कट जाएगी।
And the people of the city came rejoicing.
Aur shehar walay khushiyan manatay huye aaye.
और शहर के लोग ख़ुश होकर आए।
[Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me.
( loot alh-e-salam ney ) kaha yeh log meray mehaman hain tum mujhay ruswa na kerna.
लूत (अलै॰) ने कहाः ये लोग मेरे मेहमान हैं पस तुम लोग मुझको रुसवा न करो।
And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."
Allah Taalaa say daro aur mujhay ruswa na kero.
और तुम अल्लाह से डरो और मुझको ज़लील न करो।
They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?"
Woh bolay kiya hum ney tujhay duniya bhar ( ki thekaydaari ) say mana nahi ker rakha?
उन्होंने कहाः क्या हमने तुमको दुनिया भर के लोगों से मना नहीं कर दिया।
[Lot] said, "These are my daughters - if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]."
( loot alh-e-salam ney ) kaha agar tumhen kerne hi hai to yeh meri bachiyan mojood hain.
उसने कहाः ये मेरी बेटियाँ हैं अगर तुमको करना ही है।
By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.
Teri umar ki qasam ! woh to apni bad-masti mein sir gardan thay.
आपकी जान की क़सम! वे तो अपने नशे में मस्त थे।
So the shriek seized them at sunrise.
Pus sooraj nikaltay nikaltay unhen aik baray zor ki aawaz ney pakar liya.
पस सूरज निकलते उन्हें एक बड़े ज़ोर की आवाज़ ने पकड़ लिया।
And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay.
Bil aakhir hum ney iss shehar ko upper talay kerdiya aur inn logon per kankar walay pathar barsaye.
बिल-आख़िर हमने उस शहर को उलट-पलट कर दिया और उन लोगों पर कंकर वाले पत्थर बरसाए।
Indeed in that are signs for those who discern.
Bila shuba basirat walon kay liye iss mein boht si nishaniyan hain.
बेशक इसमें निशानियाँ हैं ध्यान करने वालों के लिए।
And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road.
Yeh basti aisi raah per hai jo barabar chalti rehti ( aam guzargaah ) hai.
और यह बस्ती एक सीधी राह पर वाक़े है।
Indeed in that is a sign for the believers.
Aur iss mein eman walon kay liye bari nishani hai.
बेशक इसमें निशानी है ईमान वालों के लिए।
And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers.
Aeeka basti key rehney walay bhi baray zalim thay.
और ऐका वाले यक़ीनन ज़ालिम लोग थे।
So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway.
Jin say ( aakhir ) hum ney intiqam ley hi liya. Yeh dono shehar khullay ( aam ) raastay per hain.
पस हमने उनसे (भी) इंतिक़ाम लिया, और ये दोनों बस्तियाँ खुले रास्ते पर वाक़े हैं।
And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers.
Aur hijr walon ney bhi rasoolon ko jhutalaya.
और हिज्र वालों ने भी रसूलों को झुठलाया।
And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away.
Aur hum ney unn ko apni nishaniyan bhi ata farmaeen ( lekin ) tahum woh inn say roo gardani hi kertay rahey.
और हमने उनको अपनी निशानियाँ दीं मगर वे उनसे मुँह फेरते रहे।
And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure.
Yeh log paharon ko tarash tarash ker ghar banatay thay bey khof hoker.
और वे पहाड़ों को काट कर उनमें घर बनाते थे कि अमन में रहें।
But the shriek seized them at early morning.
Aakhir enhen bhi subha hotay hotay chinghaar ney aa dabocha.
पस उनको सुबह के वक़्त सख़्त आवाज़ ने पकड़ लिया।
So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn.
Pus inn ki kissi tadbeer-o-amal ney unhen koi faeeda na diya.
पस उनका किया हुआ उनके कुछ काम न आया।
And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness.
Hum ney aasmanon aur zamin ko aur inn kay darmiyan ki sabb cheezon ko haq kay sath peda farmaya hai aur qayamat zaroor zaroor aaney wali hai. Pus tu husn-o-khoobi ( aur achai ) say dar guzar kerley.
और हमने आसमानों और ज़मीन को और जो कुछ उनके दरमियान है हिकमत के बग़ैर नहीं बनाया, और यक़ीनन क़यामत आने वाली है पस आप ख़ूबी के साथ दरगुज़र कीजिए।
Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator.
Yaqeenan tera perwerdigar hi peda kerney wala aur jannay wala hai.
बेशक आपका रब ही सबका ख़ालिक़ है, जानने वाला है।
And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an.
Yaqeenan hum ney aap ko saat aayaten dey rakhi hain kay dohraee jati hain aur azeem quran bhi dey rakha hai.
और यक़ीनन हमने आपको सात आयतें दे रखी हैं कि दोहराई जाती हैं और अज़मत वाला क़ुरआन भी दे रखा है।
Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers
Aap hergiz apni nazren uss cheez ki taraf na dorayen jiss say hum ney inn mein say kaee qisam kay logon ko behra mand ker rakha hai na inn per aap afsos keren aur momino kay liye apney bazoo jhukaye rahen.
उस दुनियावी सामान की तरफ़ आँख उठाकर न देखें जो हमने उनमें से मुख़्तलिफ़ लोगों को दिया है और उन पर ग़म न करें, और ईमान वालों पर अपनी शफ़क़त के बाज़ू झुका दीजिए।
And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" -
Aur keh dijiye kay mein to khullam khulla daraney wala hun.
और कहिए कि मैं एक खुला हुआ डराने वाला हूँ।
Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators
Jaisay kay hum ney unn taqseem kerney walon per utara.
इसी तरह हमने तक़सीम करने वालों पर भी उतारा था।
Who have made the Qur'an into portions.
Jinhon ney iss kitab-e-elahi kay tukray tukray ker diye.
जिन्होंने (अपने) क़ुरआन के टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर दिए।
So by your Lord, We will surely question them all
Qasam hai teray paalney walay ki! Hum unn sab say zaroor baaz purs keren gay.
पस आपके रब की क़सम! हम उन सब से ज़रूर पूछेंगे।
About what they used to do.
Her uss cheez ki jo woh kertay thay.
जो कुछ वे करते थे।
Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists.
Pus aap iss hukum ko jo aap ko kiya jaa raha hai khol ker suna dijiye! Aur mushrikon say mun pher lijiye.
पस जिस चीज़ का आपको हुक्म मिला है उसको खोल कर सुना दीजिए और मुशरिकों से एराज़ कीजिए।
Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers
Aap say jo log maskhra pann kertay hain unn ki saza kay liye hum kafi hain.
हम आपकी तरफ़ से इन मज़ाक़ उड़ाने वालों के लिए काफ़ी हैं।
Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know.
Jo Allah kay sath doosray mabood muqarrar kertay hain unhen un-qarib maloom hojayega.
जो अल्लाह के साथ दूसरे माबूद को शरीक करते हैं पस जल्द ही वे जान लेंगे।
And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say.
Humen khoob ilm hai inn baaton say aap ka dil tang hota hai.
और हम जानते हैं कि जो कुछ वे कहते हैं उससे आपका दिल तंग होता है।
So exalt [ Allah ] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him].
Aap apney perwerdigar ki tasbeeh aur hamd biyan kertay rahen aur sajda kerney walon mein shamil hojayen.
पस आप अपने रब की हम्द के साथ उसकी तस्बीह कीजिए और सज्दा करने वालों में से बन जाइए।
And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty ( death ) .
Aur apney rab ki ibadat kertay rahen yahan tak kay aap ko maut aajaye.
और अपने रब की इबादत करते रहिए यहाँ तक कि आपको मौत आजाए।
