الفاظ ( اللّٰهُ )

لے پالکوں کو ان کے ( حقیقی ) باپوں کی طرف نسبت کر کے بلاؤ اللہ کے نزدیک پورا انصاف یہی ہے پھر اگر تمہیں ان کے ( حقیقی ) باپوں کا علم ہی نہ ہو تو وہ تمہارے دینی بھائی اور دوست ہیں ، تم سے بھول چوک میں جو کچھ ہو جائے اس میں تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں البتہ گناہ وہ ہے جسکا تم ارادہ دل سے کرو اللہ تعالٰی بڑا ہی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah . But if you do not know their fathers - then they are [still] your brothers in religion and those entrusted to you. And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

اے ایمان والوں! اللہ تعالٰی نے جو احسان تم پر کیا اسے یاد کرو جبکہ تمہارے مقابلے کو فوجوں پر فوجیں آئیں پھر ہم نے ان پر تیز تند آندھی اور ایسے لشکر بھیجے جنہیں تم نے دیکھا ہی نہیں اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اللہ تعالٰی سب کچھ دیکھتا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when armies came to [attack] you and We sent upon them a wind and armies [of angels] you did not see. And ever is Allah , of what you do, Seeing.

اور اس وقت منافق اور وہ لوگ جن کے دلوں میں ( شک کا ) روگ تھا کہنے لگے اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کے رسول نے ہم سے محض دھوکا فریب کا ہی وعدہ کیا تھا ۔

And [remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease said, " Allah and His Messenger did not promise us except delusion,"

اللہ تعالٰی تم میں سے انہیں ( بخوبی ) جانتا ہے جو دوسروں کو روکتے ہیں اور اپنے بھائی بندوں سے کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے پاس چلے آؤ ۔ اور کبھی کبھی ہی لڑائی میں آجاتے ہیں ۔

Already Allah knows the hinderers among you and those [hypocrites] who say to their brothers, "Come to us," and do not go to battle, except for a few,

تمہاری مدد میں ( پورے ) بخیل ہیں پھر جب خوف و دہشت کا موقعہ آجائے تو آپ انہیں دیکھیں گے کہ آپ کی طرف نظریں جما دیتے ہیں اور ان کی آنکھیں اس طرح گھومتی ہیں جیسے اس شخص کی جس پر موت کی غشی طاری ہو پھر جب خوف جاتا رہتا ہے تو تم پر اپنی تیز زبانوں سے بڑی باتیں بناتے ہیں مال کے بڑے ہی حریص ہیں یہ ایمان لائے ہی نہیں ہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے ان کے تمام اعمال نابود کر دئیے ہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی پر یہ بہت ہی آسان ہے ۔

Indisposed toward you. And when fear comes, you see them looking at you, their eyes revolving like one being overcome by death. But when fear departs, they lash you with sharp tongues, indisposed toward [any] good. Those have not believed, so Allah has rendered their deeds worthless, and ever is that, for Allah , easy.

اور ایمانداروں نے جب ( کفار کے ) لشکروں کو دیکھا ( بے ساختہ ) کہہ اٹھے! کہ انہیں کا وعدہ ہمیں اللہ تعالٰی نے اور اس کے رسول نے دیا تھا اور اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا اور اس ( چیز ) نے ان کے ایمان میں اور شیوۂ فرماں برداری میں اور اضافہ کر دیا ۔

And when the believers saw the companies, they said, "This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth." And it increased them only in faith and acceptance.

اور ایمانداروں نے جب ( کفار کے ) لشکروں کو دیکھا ( بے ساختہ ) کہہ اٹھے! کہ انہیں کا وعدہ ہمیں اللہ تعالٰی نے اور اس کے رسول نے دیا تھا اور اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کے رسول نے سچ فرمایا اور اس ( چیز ) نے ان کے ایمان میں اور شیوۂ فرماں برداری میں اور اضافہ کر دیا ۔

And when the believers saw the companies, they said, "This is what Allah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth." And it increased them only in faith and acceptance.

تاکہ اللہ تعالٰی سچوں کو ان کی سچائی کا بدلہ دے اور اگر چاہے تو منافقوں کو سزا دے یا ان کی توبہ قبول فرمائے اللہ تعالٰی بڑا ہی بخشنے والا بہت ہی مہربان ہے ۔

That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

اور اللہ تعالٰی نے کافروں کو غصے میں بھرے ہوئے ہی ( نامراد ) لوٹا دیا انہوں نے کوئی فائدہ نہیں پایا اور اس جنگ میں اللہ تعالٰی خود ہی مومنوں کو کافی ہوگیا اللہ تعالٰی بڑی قوتوں والا اور غالب ہے ۔

And Allah repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was Allah for the believers in battle, and ever is Allah Powerful and Exalted in Might.

اور اللہ تعالٰی نے کافروں کو غصے میں بھرے ہوئے ہی ( نامراد ) لوٹا دیا انہوں نے کوئی فائدہ نہیں پایا اور اس جنگ میں اللہ تعالٰی خود ہی مومنوں کو کافی ہوگیا اللہ تعالٰی بڑی قوتوں والا اور غالب ہے ۔

And Allah repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was Allah for the believers in battle, and ever is Allah Powerful and Exalted in Might.

اور اللہ تعالٰی نے کافروں کو غصے میں بھرے ہوئے ہی ( نامراد ) لوٹا دیا انہوں نے کوئی فائدہ نہیں پایا اور اس جنگ میں اللہ تعالٰی خود ہی مومنوں کو کافی ہوگیا اللہ تعالٰی بڑی قوتوں والا اور غالب ہے ۔

And Allah repelled those who disbelieved, in their rage, not having obtained any good. And sufficient was Allah for the believers in battle, and ever is Allah Powerful and Exalted in Might.

اور اس نے تمہیں ان کی زمینوں کا اور ان کے گھر با ر کا اور ان کے مال کا وارث کر دیا اور اس زمین کا بھی جس کو تمہارے قدموں نے روندا نہیں اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

And He caused you to inherit their land and their homes and their properties and a land which you have not trodden. And ever is Allah , over all things, competent.

اور اپنے گھروں میں قرار سے رہو اور قدیم جاہلیت کے زمانے کی طرح اپنے بناؤ کا اظہار نہ کرو اور نماز ادا کرتی رہو اور زکٰوۃ دیتی رہو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت گزاری کرو اللہ تعالٰی یہی چاہتا ہے کہ اے نبی کی گھر والیو! تم سے وہ ( ہر قسم کی ) گندگی کو دور کر دے اور تمہیں خوب پاک کر دے ۔

And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance. And establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin], O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification.

بیشک مسلمان مرد اور مسلمان عورتیں مومن مرد اور مومن عورتیں فرماں برداری کرنے والے مرد اور فرماں بردار عورتیں اور راست باز مرد اور راست باز عورتیں صبر کرنے والے مرد اور صبر کرنے والی عورتیں ، عاجزی کرنے والے مرد اور عاجزی کرنے والی عورتیں ، خیرات کرنے والے مرد اور خیرات کرنے والی عورتیں ، روزے رکھنے والے مرد اور روزے رکھنی والی عورتیں ، اپنی شرم گاہ کی حفاظت کرنے والے مرد اور حفاظت کرنے والیاں ، بکثرت اللہ کا ذکر کرنے والے اور ذکر کرنے والیاں ( ان سب کے ) لئے اللہ تعالٰی نے ( وسیع ) مغفرت اور بڑا ثواب تیار کر رکھا ہے ۔

Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

اور ( دیکھو ) کسی مومن مرد و عورت کو اللہ اور اس کے رسول کے فیصلہ کے بعد کسی امر کا کوئی اختیار باقی نہیں رہتا ( یاد رکھو ) اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کے رسول کی جو بھی نافرمانی کرے گا وہ صریح گمراہی میں پڑے گا ۔

It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly strayed into clear error.

۔ ( یاد کرو ) جبکہ تو اس شخص سے کہہ رہا تھا جس پر اللہ نے بھی انعام کیا اور تو نے بھی کہ تو اپنی بیوی کو اپنے پاس رکھ اور اللہ سے ڈر تو اپنے دل میں وہ بات چھپائے ہوئے تھا جسے اللہ ظاہر کرنے والا تھا اور تو لوگوں سے خوف کھاتا تھا ، حالانکہ اللہ تعالٰی اس کا زیادہ حق دار تھا کہ تو ا س سے ڈرے پس جب کہ زید نے اس عورت سے اپنی غرض پوری کرلی ہم نے اسے تیرے نکاح میں دے دیا تاکہ مسلمانوں پر اپنے لے پالکوں کی بیویوں کے بارے میں کسی طرح تنگی نہ رہے جب کہ وہ اپنی غرض ان سے پوری کرلیں اللہ کا ( یہ ) حکم تو ہو کر ہی رہنے والا تھا ۔

And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah ," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. And you feared the people, while Allah has more right that you fear Him. So when Zayd had no longer any need for her, We married her to you in order that there not be upon the believers any discomfort concerning the wives of their adopted sons when they no longer have need of them. And ever is the command of Allah accomplished.

۔ ( یاد کرو ) جبکہ تو اس شخص سے کہہ رہا تھا جس پر اللہ نے بھی انعام کیا اور تو نے بھی کہ تو اپنی بیوی کو اپنے پاس رکھ اور اللہ سے ڈر تو اپنے دل میں وہ بات چھپائے ہوئے تھا جسے اللہ ظاہر کرنے والا تھا اور تو لوگوں سے خوف کھاتا تھا ، حالانکہ اللہ تعالٰی اس کا زیادہ حق دار تھا کہ تو ا س سے ڈرے پس جب کہ زید نے اس عورت سے اپنی غرض پوری کرلی ہم نے اسے تیرے نکاح میں دے دیا تاکہ مسلمانوں پر اپنے لے پالکوں کی بیویوں کے بارے میں کسی طرح تنگی نہ رہے جب کہ وہ اپنی غرض ان سے پوری کرلیں اللہ کا ( یہ ) حکم تو ہو کر ہی رہنے والا تھا ۔

And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to the one on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, "Keep your wife and fear Allah ," while you concealed within yourself that which Allah is to disclose. جو چیزیں اللہ تعالٰی نے اپنے نبی کے لئے مقرر کی ہیں ان میں نبی پر کوئی حرج نہیں ( یہی ) اللہ کا دستور ان میں بھی رہا جو پہلے ہوئے اور اللہ تعالٰی کے کام اندازے پر مقرر کئے ہوئے ہیں ۔

There is not to be upon the Prophet any discomfort concerning that which Allah has imposed upon him. [This is] the established way of Allah with those [prophets] who have passed on before. And ever is the command of Allah a destiny decreed.

۔ ( لوگو! ) تمہارے مردوں میں کسی کے باپ محمد ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) نہیں لیکن آپ اللہ تعالٰی کے رسول ہیں اور تمام نبیوں کے ختم کرنے والے اور اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز کا بخوبی جاننے والا ہے ۔

Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah , of all things, Knowing.

اے نبی! ہم نے تیرے لئے تیری وہ بیویاں حلال کر دی ہیں جنہیں تو ان کے مہر دے چکا ہے اور وہ لونڈیاں بھی جو اللہ تعالٰی نے غنیمت میں تجھے دی ہیں اور تیرے چچا کی لڑکیاں اور پھوپھیوں کی بیٹیاں اور تیرے ماموں کی بیٹیاں اور تیری خالاؤں کی بیٹیاں بھی جنہوں نے تیرے ساتھ ہجرت کی ہے اور وہ با ایمان عورت جو اپنا نفس نبی کو ہبہ کر دے یہ اس صورت میں کہ خود نبی بھی اس سے نکاح کرنا چاہے یہ خاص طور پر صرف تیرے لئے ہی ہے اور مومنوں کے لئے نہیں ہم اسے بخوبی جانتے ہیں جو ہم نے ان پر ان کی بیویوں اور لونڈیوں کے بارے میں ( احکام ) مقرر کر رکھے ہیں یہ اس لئے کہ تجھ پر حرج واقع نہ ہو اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے اور بڑے رحم والا ہے ۔

O Prophet, indeed We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation and those your right hand possesses from what Allah has returned to you [of captives] and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who emigrated with you and a believing woman if she gives herself to the Prophet [and] if the Prophet wishes to marry her, [this is] only for you, excluding the [other] believers. We certainly know what We have made obligatory upon them concerning their wives and those their right hands possess, [but this is for you] in order that there will be upon you no discomfort. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

اے نبی! ہم نے تیرے لئے تیری وہ بیویاں حلال کر دی ہیں جنہیں تو ان کے مہر دے چکا ہے اور وہ لونڈیاں بھی جو اللہ تعالٰی نے غنیمت میں تجھے دی ہیں اور تیرے چچا کی لڑکیاں اور پھوپھیوں کی بیٹیاں اور تیرے ماموں کی بیٹیاں اور تیری خالاؤں کی بیٹیاں بھی جنہوں نے تیرے ساتھ ہجرت کی ہے اور وہ با ایمان عورت جو اپنا نفس نبی کو ہبہ کر دے یہ اس صورت میں کہ خود نبی بھی اس سے نکاح کرنا چاہے یہ خاص طور پر صرف تیرے لئے ہی ہے اور مومنوں کے لئے نہیں ہم اسے بخوبی جانتے ہیں جو ہم نے ان پر ان کی بیویوں اور لونڈیوں کے بارے میں ( احکام ) مقرر کر رکھے ہیں یہ اس لئے کہ تجھ پر حرج واقع نہ ہو اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے اور بڑے رحم والا ہے ۔

ان میں سے جسے تو چاہے دور رکھ دے اور جسے چاہے اپنے پاس رکھ لے اوراگر تو ان میں سے بھی کسی کو اپنے پاس بلا لے جنہیں تو نے الگ کر رکھا تھا تو تجھ پر کوئی گناہ نہیں اس میں اس بات کی زیادہ توقع ہے کہ ان عورتوں کی آنکھیں ٹھنڈی رہیں اور وہ رنجیدہ نہ ہوں اور جو کچھ بھی تو انہیں دیدے اس پر سب کی سب راضی ر ہیں تمھارے دلوں میں جو کچھ ہے اسے اللہ ( خوب ) جانتا ہے اللہ تعالٰی بڑاہی علم اور حلم والا ہے ۔

You, [O Muhammad], may put aside whom you will of them or take to yourself whom you will. And any that you desire of those [wives] from whom you had [temporarily] separated - there is no blame upon you [in returning her]. That is more suitable that they should be content and not grieve and that they should be satisfied with what you have given them - all of them. And Allah knows what is in your hearts. And ever is Allah Knowing and Forbearing.

اس کے بعد اور عورتیں آپ کے لئے حلال نہیں اور نہ یہ ( درست ہے ) کہ ان کے بدلے اور عورتوں سے ( نکاح کرے ) اگرچہ ان کی صورت اچھی بھی لگتی ہو مگر جو تیری مملوکہ ہوں اور اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز کا ( پورا ) نگہبان ہے ۔

Not lawful to you, [O Muhammad], are [any additional] women after [this], nor [is it] for you to exchange them for [other] wives, even if their beauty were to please you, except what your right hand possesses. And ever is Allah , over all things, an Observer.

جو لوگ اللہ اور اس کے رسول کو ایذاء دیتے ہیں ان پر دنیا اور آخرت میں اللہ کی پھٹکار ہے اور ان کے لئے نہایت رسواکن عذاب ہے ۔

Indeed, those who abuse Allah and His Messenger - Allah has cursed them in this world and the Hereafter and prepared for them a humiliating punishment.

اے نبی! اپنی بیویوں سے اور اپنی صاحبزادیوں سے اور مسلمانوں کی عورتوں سے کہہ دو کہ وہ اپنے اوپر اپنی چادریں لٹکا لیا کریں ۔ اس سے بہت جلد ان کی شناخت ہو جایا کرے گی پھر نہ ستائی جائیں گی اور اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

اے ایمان والو! ان لوگوں جیسے نہ بن جاؤ جنہوں نے موسیٰ کو تکلیف دی پس جو بات انہوں نے کہی تھی اللہ نے انہیں اس سے بری فرما دیا ، اور وہ اللہ کے نزدیک با عزت تھے ۔

O you who have believed, be not like those who abused Moses; then Allah cleared him of what they said. And he, in the sight of Allah , was distinguished.

۔ ( یہ اس لئے ) کہ اللہ تعالٰی منافق مردوں عورتوں اور مشرک مردوں عورتوں کو سزا دے اور مومن مردوں عورتوں کی توبہ قبول فرمائے ، اور اللہ تعالٰی بڑا ہی بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے ۔

[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

۔ ( یہ اس لئے ) کہ اللہ تعالٰی منافق مردوں عورتوں اور مشرک مردوں عورتوں کو سزا دے اور مومن مردوں عورتوں کی توبہ قبول فرمائے ، اور اللہ تعالٰی بڑا ہی بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے ۔

[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

۔ ( یہ اس لئے ) کہ اللہ تعالٰی منافق مردوں عورتوں اور مشرک مردوں عورتوں کو سزا دے اور مومن مردوں عورتوں کی توبہ قبول فرمائے ، اور اللہ تعالٰی بڑا ہی بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے ۔

[It was] so that Allah may punish the hypocrite men and hypocrite women and the men and women who associate others with Him and that Allah may accept repentance from the believing men and believing women. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

پوچھئے کہ تمہیں آسمانوں اور زمین سے روزی کون پہنچاتا ہے؟ ( خود ) جواب دیجئے! کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ۔ ( سنو ) ہم یا تم ۔ یا تو یقیناً ہدایت پر ہیں یا کھلی گمراہی میں ہیں؟

Say, "Who provides for you from the heavens and the earth?" Say, " Allah . And indeed, we or you are either upon guidance or in clear error."

کہہ دیجئے! اچھا مجھے بھی تو انہیں دکھا دو جنہیں تم اللہ کا شریک ٹھہرا کر اس کے ساتھ ملا رہے ہو ، ایسا ہرگز نہیں بلکہ وہی اللہ ہے غالب با حکمت ۔

Say, "Show me those whom you have attached to Him as partners. No! Rather, He [alone] is Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

اللہ تعالٰی جو رحمت لوگوں کے لئے کھول دے سو اس کا کوئی بند کرنے والا نہیں اور جس کو بند کردے سو اس کے بعد اس کا کوئی جاری کرنے والا نہیں اور وہی غالب حکمت والا ہے ۔

Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

وہ رات کو دن میں اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے اور آفتاب و ماہتاب کو اسی نے کام میں لگا دیا ہے ۔ ہر ایک میعاد معین پر چل رہا ہے یہی ہے اللہ تم سب کا پالنے والا اسی کی سلطنت ہے ۔ جنہیں تم اس کے سوا پکار رہے ہو وہ تو کھجور کی گھٹلی کے چھلکے کے بھی مالک نہیں ۔

He causes the night to enter the day, and He causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon - each running [its course] for a specified term. That is Allah , your Lord; to Him belongs sovereignty. And those whom you invoke other than Him do not possess [as much as] the membrane of a date seed.

اور کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں جس میں دیکھتے بھالتے کہ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے ہو گزرے ہیں ان کا انجام کیا ہوا؟ حالانکہ وہ قوت میں ان سے بڑھے ہوئے تھے ، اور اللہ ایسا نہیں ہے کہ کوئی چیز اس کو ہرا دے نہ آسمانوں میں اور نہ زمین میں ۔ وہ بڑے علم والا ، بڑی قدرت والا ہے ۔

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.

اور اگر اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں پر ان کے اعمال کے سبب دارو گیر فرمانے لگتا تو روئے زمین پر ایک جاندار کو نہ چھوڑتا لیکن اللہ تعالٰی ان کو ایک میعاد معین تک مہلت دے رہا ہے سو جب ان کی وہ میعاد آپہنچے گی اللہ تعالٰی اپنے بندوں کو آپ دیکھ لے گا ۔

And if Allah were to impose blame on the people for what they have earned, He would not leave upon the earth any creature. But He defers them for a specified term. And when their time comes, then indeed Allah has ever been, of His servants, Seeing.

اور ان سے جب کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی کے دیئے ہوئے میں سے کچھ خرچ کرو ، تو یہ کفار ایمان والوں کو جواب دیتے ہیں کہ ہم انہیں کیوں کھلائیں؟ جنہیں اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو خود کھلا پلا دیتا ، تم تو ہو ہی کھلی گمراہی میں ۔

And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."

اور ان سے جب کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی کے دیئے ہوئے میں سے کچھ خرچ کرو ، تو یہ کفار ایمان والوں کو جواب دیتے ہیں کہ ہم انہیں کیوں کھلائیں؟ جنہیں اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو خود کھلا پلا دیتا ، تم تو ہو ہی کھلی گمراہی میں ۔

یہ وہ ( لوگ ) ہیں کہ جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو یہ سرکشی کرتے تھے ۔

Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah ," were arrogant

پھر جب وہ ( بچہ ) اتنی عمر کو پہنچا کہ اس کے ساتھ چلے پھرے ، تو اس ( ابراہیم علیہ السلام ) نے کہا کہ میرے پیارے بچے! میں خواب میں اپنے آپ کو تجھے ذبح کرتے ہوئے دیکھ رہا ہوں ۔ اب تو بتا کہ تیری کیا رائے ہے بیٹے نے جواب دیا کہ ابا! جو حکم ہوا ہے اسے بجا لائیے انشاءاللہ آپ مجھے صبر کرنے والوں میں پائیں گے ۔

And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."

کہ اللہ تعالٰی کی اولاد ہے ۔ یقیناً یہ محض جھوٹے ہیں ۔

" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.

کہہ دیجئے! کہ میں تو صرف خبردار کرنے والا ہوں اور بجز اللہ واحد غالب کے اور کوئی لائق عبادت نہیں ۔

Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah , the One, the Prevailing.

اگر اللہ تعالٰی کا ارادہ اولاد ہی کا ہوتا تو اپنی مخلوق میں سے جسے چاہتا چن لیتا ۔ ( لیکن ) وہ تو پاک ہے ، وہ وہی اللہ تعالٰی ہے یگانہ اور قوت والا ۔

If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah , the One, the Prevailing.

اگر اللہ تعالٰی کا ارادہ اولاد ہی کا ہوتا تو اپنی مخلوق میں سے جسے چاہتا چن لیتا ۔ ( لیکن ) وہ تو پاک ہے ، وہ وہی اللہ تعالٰی ہے یگانہ اور قوت والا ۔

If Allah had intended to take a son, He could have chosen from what He creates whatever He willed. Exalted is He; He is Allah , the One, the Prevailing.

اس نے تم سب کو ایک ہی جان سے پیدا کیا ہے پھر اسی سے اس کا جوڑا پیدا کیا اور تمہارے لئے چوپایوں میں سے ( آٹھ نر و مادہ ) اتارے وہ تمہیں تمہاری ماؤں کے پیٹوں میں ایک بناوٹ کے بعد دوسری بناوٹ پر بناتا ہے تین تین اندھیروں میں ، یہی اللہ تعالٰی تمہارا رب ہے اس کے لئے بادشاہت ہے ، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ، پھر تم کہاں بہک رہے ہو ۔

He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah , your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?

انہیں نیچے اوپر سے آگ کے ( شعلے مثل ) سائبان ( کے ) ڈھانک رہے ہونگے یہی ( عذاب ) ہے جن سے اللہ تعالٰی اپنے بندوں کو ڈرا رہا ہے اے میرے بندو! پس مجھ سے ڈرتے رہو ۔

They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.

جو بات کو کان لگا کر سنتے ہیں ۔ پھر جو بہترین بات ہو اس کی اتباع کرتے ہیں ۔ یہی ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے ہدایت کی ہےاور یہی عقلمند بھی ہیں ۔

Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding.

ہاں وہ لوگ جو اپنے رب سے ڈرتے رہے ان کے لئے بالا خانے ہیں جن کے اوپر بھی بنے بنائے بالا خانے ہیں ( اور ) ان کے نیچے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں رب کا وعدہ ہے اور وہ وعدہ خلافی نہیں کرتا ۔

But those who have feared their Lord - for them are chambers, above them chambers built high, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allah . Allah does not fail in [His] promise.

کیا وہ شخص جس کا سینہ اللہ تعالٰی نے اسلام کے لئے کھول دیا ہے پس وہ اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے ایک نور پر ہے اور ہلاکی ہے ان پر جن کے دل یاد الٰہی سے ( اثر نہیں لیتے بلکہ ) سخت ہوگئے ہیں ۔ یہ لوگ صریح گمراہی میں ( مبتلا ) ہیں ۔

So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to [accept] Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord [like one whose heart rejects it]? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah . Those are in manifest error.

اللہ تعالٰی نے بہترین کلام نازل فرمایا ہے جو ایسی کتاب ہے کہ آپس میں ملتی جلتی اور بار بار دہرائی ہوئی آیتوں کی ہے جس سے ان لوگوں کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں جو اپنے رب کا خوف رکھتے ہیں آخر میں ان کے جسم اور دل اللہ تعالٰی کے ذکر کی طرف نرم ہو جاتے ہیں یہ ہے اللہ تعالٰی کہ ہدایت جس کے ذریعہ جسے چاہے راہ راست پر لگا دیتا ہے اور جسے اللہ تعالٰی ہی راہ بھلا دے اس کا ہادی کوئی نہیں ۔

Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.

اور اللہ تعالٰی نے انہیں زندگانی دنیا میں رسوائی کا مزہ چکھایا اور ابھی آخرت کا تو بڑا بھاری عذاب ہے کاش کہ یہ لوگ سمجھ لیں ۔

So Allah made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.
