الفاظ ( بِغَيْرِ )

اور جب تم نے کہا اے موسٰی! ہم سے ایک ہی قِسم کے کھانے پر ہرگز صبر نہ ہو سکے گا ، اس لئے اپنے رب سے دعا کیجئے کہ وہ ہمیں زمین کی پیداوار ساگ ، ککڑی ، گہیوں مسور اور پیاز دے آپ نے فرمایا بہتر چیز کے بدلے ادنیٰ چیز کیوں طلب کرتے ہو! اچھا شہر میں جاؤ وہاں تمہاری چاہت کی یہ سب چیزیں ملیں گی ان پر ذلت اور مسکینی ڈال دی گئی اور اللہ کا غضب لے کر وہ لوٹے یہ اسلئے کہ وہ اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کے ساتھ کفر کرتے تھے اور نبیوں کو ناحق قتل کرتے تھے یہ ان کی نافرمانیوں اور زیادتیوں کا نتیجہ ہے ۔

And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs and its cucumbers and its garlic and its lentils and its onions." [Moses] said, "Would you exchange what is better for what is less? Go into [any] settlement and indeed, you will have what you have asked." And they were covered with humiliation and poverty and returned with anger from Allah [upon them]. That was because they [repeatedly] disbelieved in the signs of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That was because they disobeyed and were [habitually] transgressing.

کافروں کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی خوب زینت دار کی گئی ہے ، وہ ایمان والوں سے ہنسی مذاق کرتے ہیں حالانکہ پرہیزگار لوگ قیامت کے دن ان سے اعلیٰ ہونگے ، اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہتا ہے بے حساب روزی دیتا ہے ۔

Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

جو لوگ اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں سے کفر کرتے ہیں اور ناحق نبیوں کو قتل کر ڈالتے ہیں اور جو لوگ عدل و انصاف کی بات کہیں انہیں بھی قتل کر ڈالتے ہیں تو اے نبی! انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر دے دیجئے ۔

Those who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and kill the prophets without right and kill those who order justice from among the people - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

تُو ہی رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں لے جاتا ہےتُو ہی بے جان سے جاندار پیدا کرتا ہے اور تُوہی جاندار سے بےجان پیدا کرتا ہے تُو ہی ہے کہ جسے چاہتا ہے بے شمار روزی دیتا ہے ۔

You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account."

پس اسے اس کے پرورگار نے اچھی طرح قبول فرمایا اور اسے بہترین پرورش دی ۔ اس کی خیر خبر لینے والا زکریا ( علیہ السلام ) کو بنایا جب کبھی زکریا ( علیہ السلام ) ان کے حجرے میں جاتے ان کے پاس روزی رکھی ہوئی پاتے وہ پوچھتے اے مریم !یہ روزی تمہارے پاس کہاں سے آئی ؟وہ جواب دیتیں یہ اللہ تعالٰی کے پاس سے ہے ، بیشک اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے بے شمار روزی دے ۔

So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allah . Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account."

ان پر ہر جگہ ذِلّت کی مار پڑی ، الّا یہ کہ اللہ تعالٰی کی یا لوگوں کی پناہ میں ہوں ، یہ غضبِ الٰہی کے مستحق ہوگئے اور ان پر فقیری ڈال دی گئی ، یہ اس لئے کہ یہ لوگ اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں سے کفر کرتے تھے اور بے وجہ انبیاء کو قتل کرتے تھے ، یہ بدلہ ہے ان کی نافرمانیوں اور زیادتیوں کا ۔

They have been put under humiliation [by Allah ] wherever they are overtaken, except for a covenant from Allah and a rope from the Muslims. And they have drawn upon themselves anger from Allah and have been put under destitution. That is because they disbelieved in the verses of Allah and killed the prophets without right. That is because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.

یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی نے ان لوگوں کا قول بھی سُنا جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ تعالٰی فقیر ہے اور ہم تونگّر ہیں ان کے اس قول کو ہم لکھ لیں گے ۔ اور ان کا انبیاء کو بلا وجہ قتل کرنا بھی ، اور ہم ان سے کہیں گے کہ جلنے والا عذاب چکھّو!

Allah has certainly heard the statement of those [Jews] who said, "Indeed, Allah is poor, while we are rich." We will record what they said and their killing of the prophets without right and will say, "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.

۔ ( یہ سزا تھی ) بہ سبب ان کی عہد شکنی کے اور احکام الٰہی کے ساتھ کفر کرنے کے اور اللہ کے نبیوں کو ناحق قتل کر ڈالنے کے اور اس سبب سے کہ یوں کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے دلوں پر غلاف ہے ۔ حالانکہ دراصل ان کے کفر کی وجہ سے ان کے دلوں پر اللہ تعالٰی نے مہر لگا دی ہے ۔ اس لئے یہ قدر قلیل ہی ایمان لاتے ہیں ۔

And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped". Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

اسی وجہ سے ہم نے بنی اسرائیل پر یہ لکھ دیا کہ جو شخص کسی کو بغیر اس کے کہ وہ کسی کا قاتل ہو یا زمین میں فساد مچانے والا ہو ، قتل کر ڈالے تو گویا اس نے تمام لوگوں کو قتل کر دیا ، اور جو شخص کسی ایک کی جان بچالے اس نے گویا تمام لوگوں کو زندہ کر دیا اور ان کے پاس ہمارے بہت سے رسول ظاہر دلیلیں لے کر آئے لیکن پھر اس کے بعد بھی ان میں کہ اکثر لوگ زمین میں ظلم و زیادتی اور زبردستی کرنے والے ہی رہے ۔

Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.

اور لوگوں نے شیاطین کو اللہ تعالٰی کا شریک قرار دے رکھا ہے حالانکہ ان لوگوں کو اللہ ہی نے پیدا کیا ہے اور ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے حق میں بیٹے اور بیٹیاں بلا سند تراش رکھی ہیں اور وہ پاک اور برتر ہے ان باتوں سے جو یہ کرتے ہیں ۔

But they have attributed to Allah partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Exalted is He and high above what they describe.

اور گالی مت دو ان کو جن کی یہ لوگ اللہ تعالٰی کو چھوڑ کر عبادت کرتے ہیں کیونکہ پھر وہ براہ جہل حد سے گزر کر اللہ تعالٰی کی شان میں گستاخی کریں گے ہم نے اسی طرح ہر طریقہ والوں کو ان کا عمل مرغوب بنا رکھا ہے پھر اپنے رب ہی کے پاس ان کو جانا ہے سو وہ ان کو بتلا دے گا جو کچھ بھی وہ کیا کرتے تھے ۔

And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah , lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do.

اور آخر کیا وجہ ہے کہ تم ایسے جانور میں سے نہ کھاؤ جس پر اللہ کا نام لیا گیا ہو حالانکہ اللہ تعالٰی نے ان سب جانوروں کی تفصیل بتا دی ہے جن کو تم پر حرام کیا ہے مگر وہ بھی جب تم کو سخت ضرورت پڑ جائے تو حلال ہے اور یہ یقینی بات ہے کہ بہت سے آدمی اپنے خیالات پر بلا کسی سند کے گمراہ کرتے ہیں اس میں کوئی شبہ نہیں کہ اللہ تعالٰی حد سے نکل جانے والوں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors.

واقعی خرابی میں پڑ گئے وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اپنی اولاد کو محض براہ حماقت بلا کسی سند کے قتل کر ڈالا اور جو چیزیں ان کو اللہ نے ان کو کھانے پینے کو دی تھیں ان کو حرام کر لیا جو محض اللہ پر افترا باندھنے کے طور پر ۔ بیشک یہ لوگ گمراہی میں پڑ گئے اور کبھی راہ راست پر چلنے والے نہیں ہوئے ۔

Those will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allah had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allah . They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided.

اور اونٹ میں دو قسم اور گائے میں دو قسم آپ کہئے کہ کیا اللہ تعالٰی نے ان دونوں نروں کو حرام کیا ہے یا دونوں مادہ کو؟ یا اسکو جس کو دونوں مادہ پیٹ میں لئے ہوئے ہوں؟ کیا تم حاضر تھے جس وقت اللہ تعالٰی نے تم کو اس کا حکم دیا ؟ تو اس سے زیادہ کون ظالم ہوگا جو اللہ تعالٰی پر بلا دلیل جھوٹی تہمت لگائے تاکہ لوگوں کو گمراہ کرے یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی ظالم لوگوں کو راستہ نہیں دکھلاتا ۔

And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people."

آپ فرمایئے کہ البتہ میرے رب نے صرف حرام کیا ہے ان تمام فحش باتوں کو جو اعلانیہ ہیں اور جو پوشیدہ ہیں اور ہر گناہ کی بات کو اور ناحق کسی پر ظلم کرنے کو اور اس بات کو کہ اللہ کے ساتھ کسی ایسی چیز کو شریک ٹھہراؤ جس کی اللہ نے کوئی سند نازل نہیں کی اور اس بات کو کہ تم لوگ اللہ کے ذمے ایسی بات نہ لگا دو جس کو تم جانتے نہیں ۔

Say, "My Lord has only forbidden immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed - and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know."

میں ایسے لوگوں کو اپنے احکام سے برگشتہ ہی رکھوں گا جو دنیا میں تکبر کرتے ہیں ، جس کا ان کو کوئی حق حاصل نہیں اور اگر تمام نشانیاں دیکھ لیں تب بھی وہ ان پر ایمان نہ لائیں اور اگر ہدایت کا راستہ دیکھیں تو اس کو اپنا طریقہ نہ بنائیں اور اگر گمراہی کا راستہ دیکھ لیں تو اس کو اپنا طریقہ بنالیں یہ اس سبب سے ہے کہ انہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا اور ان سے غافل رہے ۔

I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right; and if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. And if they see the way of consciousness, they will not adopt it as a way; but if they see the way of error, they will adopt it as a way. That is because they have denied Our signs and they were heedless of them.

پھر جب اللہ تعالٰی ان کو بچا لیتا ہے تو فوراً ہی وہ زمین میں ناحق سرکشی کرنے لگتے ہیں اے لوگو! یہ تمہاری سرکشی تمہارے لئے وبال ہونے والی ہے دنیاوی زندگی کے ( چند ) فائدے ہیں پھر ہمارے پاس تم کو آنا ہے پھر ہم سب تمہارا کیا ہوا تم کو بتلا دیں گے ۔

But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves, [being merely] the enjoyment of worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.

اللہ وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو بغیر ستونوں کے بلند کررکھا ہے کہ تم اسے دیکھ رہے ہو ۔ پھر وہ عرش پر قرار پکڑے ہوئے ہے اسی نے سورج اور چاند کو ما تحتی میں لگا رکھا ہے ۔ ہر ایک میعاد معین پر گشت کر رہا ہے وہی کام کی تدبیر کرتا ہے وہ اپنے نشانات کھول کھول کر بیان کر رہا ہے کہ تم اپنے رب کی ملاقات کا یقین کر لو ۔

It is Allah who erected the heavens without pillars that you [can] see; then He established Himself above the Throne and made subject the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. He arranges [each] matter; He details the signs that you may, of the meeting with your Lord, be certain.

اسی کا نتیجہ ہوگا کہ قیامت کے دن یہ لوگ اپنے پورے بوجھ کے ساتھ ہی ان کے بوجھ کے حصے دار ہوں گے جنہیں بے علمی سے گمراہ کرتے رہے ۔ دیکھو تو کیسا برا بوجھ اٹھا رہے ہیں ۔

That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear.

پھر دونوں چلے ، یہاں تک کہ ایک لڑکے کو پایا اس نے اسے مار ڈالا ، موسیٰ نے کہا کہ کیا آپ نے ایک پاک جان کو بغیر کسی جان کے عوض مار ڈالا؟ بیشک آپ نے تو بڑی ناپسندیدہ حرکت کی ۔

So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing."

بعض لوگ اللہ کے بارے میں باتیں بناتے ہیں اور وہ بھی بے علمی کے ساتھ اور ہر سرکش شیطان کی پیروی کرتے ہیں ۔

And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.

بعض لوگ اللہ کے بارے میں بغیر علم کے بغیر ہدایت کے اور بغیر روشن کتاب کے جھگڑتے ہیں ۔

And of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening book [from Him],

یہ وہ ہیں جنہیں ناحق اپنے گھروں سے نکالا گیا ، صرف ان کے اس قول پر کہ ہمارا پروردگار فقط اللہ ہے ، اگر اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں کو آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے نہ ہٹاتا رہتا تو عبادت خانے اور گرجے اور مسجدیں اور یہودیوں کے معبد اور وہ مسجدیں بھی ڈھا دی جاتیں جہاں اللہ کا نام باکثرت لیا جاتا ہے ۔ جو اللہ کی مدد کرے گا اللہ بھی ضرور اس کی مدد کرے گا ۔ بیشک اللہ تعالٰی بڑی قوتوں والا بڑے غلبے والا ہے ۔

[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ." And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

اس ارادے سے کہ اللہ انہیں ان کے اعمال کا بہترین بدلہ دے بلکہ اپنے فضل سے اور کچھ زیادتی عطا فرمائے ، اللہ تعالٰی جس چاہے بے شمار روزیاں دیتا ہے ۔

That Allah may reward them [according to] the best of what they did and increase them from His bounty. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

اس نے اور اس کے لشکروں نے ناحق طریقے پر ملک میں تکبر کیا اور سمجھ لیا کہ وہ ہماری جانب لوٹائے ہی نہ جائیں گے ۔

And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us.

پھر اگر یہ تیری نہ مانیں تو تو یقین کر لے کہ یہ صرف اپنی خواہش کی پیروی کر رہے ہیں اور اس سے بڑھ کر بہکا ہوا کون ہے؟ جو اپنی خواہش کے پیچھے پڑا ہوا ہو بغیر اللہ کی رہنمائی کے ، بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ظالم لوگوں کوہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

But if they do not respond to you - then know that they only follow their [own] desires. And who is more astray than one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah ? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

بلکہ بات یہ ہے کہ یہ ظالم تو بغیر علم کے خواہش پرستی کر رہے ہیں ، اسے کون راہ دکھائے جسے اللہ تعالٰی راہ سے ہٹا دے ان کا ایک بھی مددگار نہیں ۔

But those who wrong follow their [own] desires without knowledge. Then who can guide one whom Allah has sent astray? And for them there are no helpers.

اور بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو لغو باتوں کو مول لیتے ہیں کہ بے علمی کے ساتھ لوگوں کو اللہ کی راہ سے بہکائیں اور اسے ہنسی بنائیں یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے رسوا کرنے والا عذاب ہے ۔

And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.

اسی نے آسمانوں کو بغیر ستون کے پیدا کیا ہے تم انہیں دیکھ رہے ہو اور اس نے زمین میں پہاڑوں کو ڈال دیا تاکہ وہ تمہیں جنبش نہ دے سکے اور ہر طرح کے جاندار زمین میں پھیلا دیئے اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی برسا کر زمین میں ہر قسم کے نفیس جوڑے اگا دیئے ۔

He created the heavens without pillars that you see and has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with you, and dispersed therein from every creature. And We sent down rain from the sky and made grow therein [plants] of every noble kind.

کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے زمین اور آسمان کی ہرچیز کو تمارے کام میں لگا رکھا ہے اور تمہیں اپنی ظاہری و باطنی نعمتیں بھرپور دے رکھی ہیں بعض لوگ اللہ کے بارے میں بغیر علم کے اور بغیر ہدایت کے اور بغیر روشن کتاب کے جھگڑا کرتے ہیں ۔

Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent? But of the people is he who disputes about Allah without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening Book [from Him].

اورجو لوگ مومن مردوں اور مومن عورتوں کو ایذاء دیں بغیر کسی جرم کے جو ان سے سرزد ہوا ہو ، وہ ( بڑے ہی ) بہتان اور صریح گناہ کا بوجھ اٹھاتے ہیں ۔

And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.

یہ ہے ہمارا عطیہ اب تو احسان کر یا روک رکھ ، کچھ حساب نہیں ۔

[We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account."

کہہ دو کہ اے میرے ایمان والے بندو! اپنے رب سے ڈرتے رہو جو اس دنیا میں نیکی کرتے ہیں ان کے لئے نیک بدلہ ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی کی زمین بہت کشادہ ہے صبر کرنے والوں ہی کو ان کا پورا پورا بے شمار اجر دیا جاتا ہے ۔

Say, "O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account."

جو بغیر کسی سند کے جو ان کے پاس آئی ہو اللہ کی آیتوں میں جھگڑتے ہیں اللہ کے نزدیک اور مومنوں کے نزدیک یہ تو بہت بڑی ناراضگی کی چیز ہے اللہ تعالٰی اسی طرح ہر ایک مغرور سرکش کے دل پر مہر کر دیتا ہے ۔

Those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without an authority having come to them - great is hatred [of them] in the sight of Allah and in the sight of those who have believed. Thus does Allah seal over every heart [belonging to] an arrogant tyrant.

جس نے گناہ کیا ہے اسے تو برابربرابر کا بدلہ ہی ہے اور جس نے نیکی کی ہے ہو خواہ وہ مرد ہو یا عورت اور وہ ایمان والا ہو تو یہ لوگ جنت میں جائیں گے اور وہاں بے شمار روزی پائیں گے ۔

Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account.

جو لوگ باوجود اپنے پاس کسی سند کے نہ ہونے کے آیات الٰہی میں جھگڑا کرتے ہیں ان کے دلوں میں بجز نری بڑائی کے اور کچھ نہیں وہ اس تک پہنچنے والے ہی نہیں سو تو اللہ کی پناہ مانگتا رہ بیشک وہ پورا سننے والا اور سب سے زیادہ دیکھنے والا ہے ۔

Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah without [any] authority having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allah . Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.

یہ بدلہ ہے اس چیز کا جو تم زمین میں ناحق پھولے نہ سماتے تھے ۔ اور بے جا اتراتے پھرتے تھے ۔

[The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently.

اب قوم عاد نے تو بے وجہ زمین میں سرکشی شروع کردی اور کہنے لگے کہ ہم سے زور آور کون ہے؟ کیا انہیں یہ نظر نہ آیا کہ جس نے انہیں پیدا کیا ہے وہ ان سے ( بہت ہی ) زیادہ زور آور ہے وہ ( آخر تک ) ہماری آیتوں کا انکار ہی کرتے رہے ۔

As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.

یہ راستہ صرف ان لوگوں پر ہے جو خود دوسروں پر ظلم کریں اور زمین میں ناحق فساد کرتے پھریں ، یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment.

اور جس دن کافر جہنم کے سرے پر لائے جائیں گے ( کہا جائے گا ) تم نے اپنی نیکیاں دنیا کی زندگی میں ہی برباد کر دیں اور ان سے فائد ے نہ اٹھا چکے ، پس آج تمہیں ذلت کے عذاب کی سزا دی جائے گی اس باعث کہ تم زمین میں ناحق تکبر کیا کرتے تھے اور اس باعث بھی کہ تم حکم عدولی کیا کرتے تھے ۔

And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient."

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور تم کو مسجد حرام سے روکا اور قربانی کے لئے موقوف جانور کو اس کی قربان گاہ میں پہنچنے سے ( روکا ) اور اگر ایسے ( بہت سے ) مسلمان مرد اور ( بہت سی ) مسلمان عورتیں نہ ہوتیں جن کی تم کو خبر نہ تھی یعنی ان کے پس جانے کا احتمال نہ ہوتا جس پر ان کی وجہ سے تم کو بھی بے خبری میں ضرر پہنچتا ( تو تمہیں لڑنے کی اجازت دے دی جاتی لیکن ایسا نہیں کیا گیا ) تاکہ اللہ تعالٰی اپنی رحمت میں جس کو چاہے داخل کرے اور اگر یہ الگ الگ ہوتے تو ان میں جو کافر تھے ہم ان کو دردناک سزا دیتے ۔

They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Haram while the offering was prevented from reaching its place of sacrifice. And if not for believing men and believing women whom you did not know - that you might trample them and there would befall you because of them dishonor without [your] knowledge - [you would have been permitted to enter Makkah]. [This was so] that Allah might admit to His mercy whom He willed. If they had been apart [from them], We would have punished those who disbelieved among them with painful punishment
