In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed
Hum ney yeh quran tujh per iss liye nahi utara kay tu mushaqqat mein parr jaye.
हम ने तुम पर यह क़ुरआन इसलिए नहीं उतारा कि तुम मशक़्क़त में पड़ जाओ
But only as a reminder for those who fear [ Allah ] -
Bulkay uss ki naseehat kay liye jo Allah say darta hai.
यह तो बस एक अनुस्मृति है, उस के लिए जो डरे,
A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens,
Iss ka utarna uss ki taraf say hai jiss ney zamin ko aur buland aasmano ko peda kiya hai.
भली-भाँति अवतरित हुआ है उस सत्ता की ओर से, जिस ने पैदा किया है धरती और उच्च आकाशों को
The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established.
Jo rehman hai arsh per qaeem hai.
वह रहमान है, जो राजासन पर विराजमान हुआ
To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil.
Jiss ki milkiyar aasmano aur zamin aur inn dono kay darmiyan aur ( kurra-e-khak ) kay neechay ki her aik cheez per hai.
उसी का है जो कुछ आकाशों में है और जो कुछ धरती में है और जो कुछ इन दोनों के मध्य है और जो कुछ आर्द्र मिट्टी के नीचे है
And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden.
Agar tu unchi baat kahey to woh to her aik posheeda bulkay posheeda say posheeda tar cheez ko bhi ba-khoobi janta hai.
तुम चाहे बात पुकार कर कहो (या चुपके से), वह तो छिपी हुई और अत्यन्त गुप्त बात को भी जानता है
Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names.
Wohi Allah hai jiss kay siwa koi mabood nahi behtareen naam ussi kay hain.
अल्लाह, कि उस के सिवा कोई पूज्य-प्रभू नहीं। उस के नाम बहुत ही अच्छे हैं।
And has the story of Moses reached you? -
Tujhay musa ( alh-e-salam ) ka qissa bhi maloom hai?
क्या तुम्हें मूसा की भी ख़बर पहुँची?
When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance."
Jabkay uss ney aag dekh ker apney ghar walon say kaha kay tum zara si dare thehar jao mujhay aag dikhaee di hai. Boht mumkin hai kay mein iss ka koi angara tumharay pass laon yaa aag kay pass say rastay ki itlaa paon.
जबकि उस ने एक आग देखी तो उस ने अपने घर वालों से कहा, "ठहरो! मैंने एक आग देखी है। शायद कि तुम्हारे लिए उस में से कोई अंगारा ले आऊँ या उस आग पर मैं मार्ग का पता पा लूँ।"
And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses,
Jab woh wahan phonchay to awaz di gaee aey musa!
फिर जब वह वहाँ पहुँचा तो पुकारा गया, "ऐ मूसा!
Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa.
Yaqeenan mein hi tera perwerdigar hun to tu apni jootiyan utar dey kiyon kay tu pak maidan-e-toowa mein hai.
मैं ही तेरा रब हूँ। अपने जूते उतार दे। तू पवित्र घाटी 'तुवा' में है
And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].
Aur mein ney tujhay muntakhib ker liya hai abb jo wahee ki jaye ussay kaan laga ker sunn.
मैंने तुझे चुन लिया है। अतः सुन, जो कुछ प्रकाशना की जाती है
Indeed, I am Allah . There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.
Be-shak mein hi Allah hun meray siwa ibadat kay laeeq aur koi nahi pus tu meri hi ibadat ker aur meri yaad kay liye namaz qaeem rakh.
निस्संदेह मैं ही अल्लाह हूँ। मेरे सिवा कोई पूज्य-प्रभु नहीं। अतः तू मेरी बन्दगी कर और मेरी याद के लिए नमाज़ क़ायम कर
Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives.
Qayamat yaqeenan aaney wali hai jissay mein posheeda rakhna chahata hun takay her shaks ko woh badla diya jaye jo uss ney kosish ki ho.
निश्चय ही वह (क़ियामत की) घड़ी आनेवाली है - शीघ्र ही उसे लाऊँगा, उसे छिपाए रखता हूँ - ताकि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जो प्रयास वह करता है, उस का बदला पाए
So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.
Pus abb iss kay yaqeen say tujhay koi aisa shaks rok na dey jo iss per eman na rakhta ho aur apni khuawish kay peechay para ho werna tu halak ho jaye ga.
अतः जो कोई उसपर ईमान नहीं लाता और अपनी वासना के पीछे पड़ा है, वह तुझे उस से रोक न दे, अन्यथा तू विनष्ट हो जाएगा
And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"
Aey musa terau iss dayen hath mein kiya hai?
और ऐ मूसा! यह तेरे दाहिने हाथ में क्या है?"
He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."
Jawab diya kay yeh meri lathi hai jiss per mein take lagata hun aur jiss say mein apni bakriyon kay liye pattay jhaar liya kerta hun aur bhi iss mein mujhay boht faeeday hain.
उस ने कहा, "यह मेरी लाठी है। मैं इस पर टेक लगाता हूँ और इस से अपनी बकरियों के लिए पत्ते झाड़ता हूँ और इस से मेरी दूसरी ज़रूरतें भी पूरी होती हैं।"
[ Allah ] said, "Throw it down, O Moses."
Farmaya aey musa! Issay hath say neechay daal dey.
कहा, "डाल दे उसे, ऐ मूसा!"
So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly.
Daltay hi woh saanp bann ker dorney lagi.
अतः उस ने डाल दिया। सहसा क्या देखते हैं कि वह एक साँप है, जो दौड़ रहा है
[ Allah ] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition.
Farmaya bey khof ho ker issay pakar ley hum issay ussi pehli si surat mein doobara laa den gay.
कहा, "इसे पकड़ ले और डर मत। हम इसे इस की पहली हालत पर लौटा देंगे
And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign,
Aur apna hath apni baghal mein daal ley to woh safaid chamakta hua ho ker niklay ga lekin baghair kisi aib ( aur rog ) kay yeh doosra moajzza hai.
और अपने हाथ अपने बाज़ू की ओर समेट ले। वह बिना किसी ऐब के रौशन दूसरी निशानी के रूप में निकलेगा
That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs.
Yeh iss liye kay hum tujhay apni bari bari nishaniyan dikhana chahatay hain.
इसलिए कि हम तुझे अपनी बड़ी निशानियाँ दिखाएँ
Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed."
Abb tu firaon ki taraf jaa uss ney barri sirkashi macha rakhi hai.
तू फ़िरऔन के पास जा। वह बहुत सरकश हो गया है।"
[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance]
Musa ( alh-e-salam ) ney kaha aey meray perwerdigar! Mera seena meray liye khol dey.
उस ने निवेदन किया, "मेरे रब! मेरा सीना मेरे लिए खोल दे
And ease for me my task
Aur meray kaam ko mujh per aasan ker dey.
और मेरे काम को मेरे लिए आसान कर दे
And untie the knot from my tongue
Aur meri zaban ki girah bhi khol dey.
और मेरी ज़बान की गिरह खोल दे।
That they may understand my speech.
Takay log meri baat achi tarah samajh saken.
कि वे मेरी बात समझ सकें
And appoint for me a minister from my family -
Aur mera qazir meray kunbay mein say ker dey.
और मेरे लिए अपने घर वालों में से एक सहायक नियुक्त कर दें,
Aaron, my brother.
Yani mera bhai haroon ( alh-e-salam ) ko.
हारून को, जो मेरा भाई है
Increase through him my strength
Tu iss say meri kamar kuss dey.
उस के द्वारा मेरी कमर मज़बूत कर
And let him share my task
Aur ussay mera shareek kaar ker dey.
और उसे मेरे काम में शरीक कर दें,
That we may exalt You much
Takay hum dono ba-kasrat teri tasbeeh biyan keren.
कि हम अधिक से अधिक तेरी तसबीह करें
And remember You much.
Aur ba-kasrat teri yaad keren.
और तुझे ख़ूब याद करें
Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing."
Be-shak tu humen khoob dekhney bhalney wala hai.
निश्चय ही तू हमें खूब देख रहा है।"
[ Allah ] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses.
Janab baari taalaa ney farmaya musa teray tamam sawalaat poora ker diye gaye.
कहा, "दिया गया तुझे जो तूने माँगा, ऐ मूसा!
And We had already conferred favor upon you another time,
Hum ney tujh per aik baar aur bhi bara ehsan kiya hai.
हम तो तुझ पर एक बार और भी उपकार कर चुके हैं
When We inspired to your mother what We inspired,
Jabkay hum ney teri maa ko woh elhaam kiya jiss ka zikar abb kiya jaa raha hai.
जब हम ने तेरी माँ के दिल में यह बात डाली थी, जो अब प्रकाशना की जा रही है,
[Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye.
Kay tu ussay sandooq mein band ker kay darya mein chor dey pus darya ussay kinaray laa dalay ga aur mera aur khud uss ka dushman ussay ley ley ga aur mein ney apni taraf ki khaas mohabbat-o-maqbooliyat tujh per daal di. Takay teri perwerish meri aankhon kay samney ki jaye.
कि उस को सन्दूक में रख दे; फिर उसे दरिया में डाल दे; फिर दरिया उसे तट पर डाल दे कि उसे मेरा शत्रु और उस का शत्रु उठा ले। मैंने अपनी ओर से तुझ पर अपना प्रेम डाला। (ताकि तू सुरक्षित रहे) और ताकि मेरी आँख के सामने तेरा पालन-पोषण हो
[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.
( yaad ker ) jabkay teri behan chal rahi thi aur keh rahi thi kay agar tum kaho to mein ussay bata doon jo uss ki nigehbani keray iss tadbeer say hum ney tujhay phir teri maa kay pass phonchaya kay uss ki aankhen thandi rahen aur woh ghumgeen na ho. Aur tu ney aik shaks ko maar dala tha iss per hum ney tujhay ghum say bacha liya gharz hum ney tujhay achi tarah aazma liya. Phir tu kaee saal tak madiyan kay logon mein thehra raha phir taqdeer-e-elahee kay mutabiq aey musa! Tu aaya.
याद कर जबकि तेरी बहन जाती और कहती थी, क्या मैं तुम्हें उस का पता बता दूँ जो इस का पालन-पोषण अपने ज़िम्मे ले ले? इस प्रकार हम ने फिर तुझे तेरी माँ के पास पहुँचा दिया, ताकि उस की आँख ठंड़ी हो और वह शोकाकुल न हो। और हम ने तुझे भली-भाँति परखा। फिर तू कई वर्ष मदयन के लोगों में ठहरा रहा। फिर ऐ मूसा! तू ख़ास समय पर आ गया है
And I produced you for Myself.
Aur mein ney tujhay khas apni zaat kay liye pasand farma liya.
हम ने तुझे अपने लिए तैयार किया है
Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance.
Abb tu apney bhai samet meri nishaniyan humrah liye huye jaa aur khabdaar meray zikar mein susti na kerna.
जो, तू और तेरी भाई मेरी निशानियो के साथ; और मेरी याद में ढ़ीले मत पड़ना
Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
Tum dono firaon kay pass jao uss ney bari sirkashi ki hai.
जाओ दोनों, फ़िरऔन के पास, वह सरकश हो गया है
And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [ Allah ]."
Ussay narmi say samjhao kay shayad woh samajh ley ya darr jaye.
उस से नर्म बात करना, कदाचित वह ध्यान दे या डरे।"
They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress."
Dono ney kaha aey humaray rab! Humen khof hai kay kahin firaon hum per koi ziyadti na keray ya apni sirkashi mein barh na jaye.
दोनों ने कहा, "ऐ हमारे रब! हमें इसका भय है कि वह हम पर ज़्यादती करे या सरकशी करने लग जाए।"
[ Allah ] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.
Jawab mila kay tum mutlaqan khof na kero mein tumharay sath hun aur sunta dekhta rahoon ga.
कहा, "डरो नहीं, मै तुम्हारे साथ हूँ। सुनता और देखता हूँ
So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance.
Tum iss kay pass jaa ker kaho kay hum teray perwerdigar kay payghumber hain tu humaray sath bani israeel ko bhej dey inn ki sazayen moqoof ker. Hum to teray pass teray rab ki taraf say nishani ley ker aaye hain aur salamti ussi kay liye hai jo hidayat ka paband ho jaye.
अतः जाओ, उस के पास और कहो, हम तेरे रब के रसूल हैं। इसराईल की सन्तान को हमारे साथ भेज दे। और उन्हें यातना न दे। हम तेरे पास तेरे रब की निशानी लेकर आए है। और सलामती है उस के लिए जो संमार्ग का अनुसरण करे!
Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' "
Humari taraf wahee ki gaee hai kay jo jhutlaye aur roo gardani keray uss kay liye azab hai.
निस्संदेह हमारी ओर प्रकाशना हुई है कि यातना उस के लिए है, जो झुठलाए और मुँह फेरे।"
[Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?"
Firaon ney poocha kay aey musa! Tum dono ka rab kaun hai?
उस ने कहा, "अच्छा, तुम दोनों का रब कौन है, मूसा?"
