الفاظ ( وَلَا )

کاش! یہ کافر جانتے کہ اس وقت نہ تو یہ کافر آگ کو اپنے چہروں سے ہٹا سکیں گے اور نہ اپنی پیٹھوں سے اور نہ ان کی مدد کی جائے گی ۔

If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...

۔ ( ہاں ہاں! ) وعدے کی گھڑی ان کے پاس اچانک آجائے گی اور انہیں ہکا بکا کر دے گی ، پھر نہ تو یہ لوگ اسے ٹال سکیں گے اور نہ ذرا سی بھی مہلت دیئے جائیں گے ۔

Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved.

کیا ہمارے سوا ان کے اور معبود ہیں جو انہیں مصیبتوں سے بچالیں ۔ کوئی بھی خود اپنی مدد کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا اور نہ کوئی ہماری طرف سے رفاقت دیا جاتا ہے ۔

Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.

کہہ دیجئے! میں تو تمہیں اللہ کی وحی کے ذریعہ آگاہ کر رہا ہوں مگر بہرے لوگ بات نہیں سنتے جبکہ انہیں آگاہ کیا جائے ۔

Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.

اللہ تعالٰی کو قربانیوں کے گوشت نہیں پہنچتے نہ ان کے خون بلکہ اسے توتمہارے دل کی پرہیزگاری پہنچتی ہے اسی طرح اللہ نے جانوروں کو تمہارا مطیع کر دیا ہے کہ تم اس کی راہنمائی کے شکریئے میں اس کی بڑائیاں بیان کرو ، اور نیک لوگوں کو خوشخبری سنا دیجئے ۔

Their meat will not reach Allah , nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.

کافر اس وحی الٰہی میں ہمیشہ شک شبہ ہی کرتے رہیں گے حتٰی کہ اچانک ان کے سروں پر قیامت آجائے یا ان کے پاس اس دن کا عذاب آجائے جو منحوس ہے ۔

But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.

تو ہم نے ان کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تو ہماری آنکھوں کے سامنے ہماری وحی کے مطابق ایک کشتی بنا جب ہمارا حکم آجائے اور تنور ابل پڑے تو تو ہر قسم کا ایک ایک جوڑا اس میں رکھ لے اور اپنے اہل کو بھی مگر ان میں سے جن کی بابت ہماری بات پہلے گزر چکی ہے خبردار جن لوگوں نے ظلم کیا ہے ان کے بارے میں مجھ سے کچھ کلام نہ کرنا وہ تو سب ڈبوئے جائیں گے ۔

So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned.

ہم کسی نفس کو اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ تکلیف نہیں دیتے اور ہمارے پاس ایسی کتاب ہے جو حق کے ساتھ بولتی ہے ، ان کے اوپر کچھ بھی ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا ۔

And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.

پوچھئے کہ تمام چیزوں کا اختیار کس کے ہاتھ میں ہے؟ جو پناہ دیتا ہے اور جس کے مقابلے میں کوئی پناہ نہیں دیا جاتا اگر تم جانتے ہو تو بتلاؤ؟

Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?"

اللہ تعالٰی فرمائے گا پھٹکارے ہوئے یہیں پڑے رہو اور مجھ سے کلام نہ کرو ۔

He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.

تم میں سے جو بزرگی اور کشادگی والے ہیں انہیں اپنے قرابت داروں اور مسکینوں اور مہاجروں کو فی سبیل اللہ دینے سے قسم نہ کھالینی چاہیئے بلکہ معاف کردینا اور درگذر کرلینا چاہئیے ۔ کیا تم نہیں چاہتے کہ اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے قصور معاف فرما دے؟ اللہ قصوروں کو معاف فرمانے والا مہربان ہے ۔

And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give [aid] to their relatives and the needy and the emigrants for the cause of Allah , and let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

مسلمان عورتوں سے کہو کہ وہ بھی اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھیں اور اپنی عصمت میں فرق نہ آنے دیں اور اپنی زینت کو ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اس کے جو ظاہر ہے اور اپنے گریبانوں پر اپنی اوڑھنیاں ڈالے رہیں اور اپنی آرائش کو کسی کے سامنے ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اپنے خاوندوں کے یا اپنے والد یا اپنے خسر کے یا اپنے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے خاوند کے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے یا اپنے بھتیجوں کے یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنے میل جول کی عورتوں کے یا غلاموں کے یا ایسے نوکر چاکر مردوں کے جو شہوت والے نہ ہوں یا ایسے بچوں کے جو عورتوں کے پردے کی باتوں سے مطلع نہیں اور اس طرح زور زور سے پاؤں مار کر نہ چلیں کہ ان کی پوشیدہ زینت معلوم ہو جائے ، اے مسلمانوں! تم سب کے سب اللہ کی جناب میں توبہ کرو تاکہ تم نجات پاؤ ۔

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

مسلمان عورتوں سے کہو کہ وہ بھی اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھیں اور اپنی عصمت میں فرق نہ آنے دیں اور اپنی زینت کو ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اس کے جو ظاہر ہے اور اپنے گریبانوں پر اپنی اوڑھنیاں ڈالے رہیں اور اپنی آرائش کو کسی کے سامنے ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اپنے خاوندوں کے یا اپنے والد یا اپنے خسر کے یا اپنے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے خاوند کے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے یا اپنے بھتیجوں کے یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنے میل جول کی عورتوں کے یا غلاموں کے یا ایسے نوکر چاکر مردوں کے جو شہوت والے نہ ہوں یا ایسے بچوں کے جو عورتوں کے پردے کی باتوں سے مطلع نہیں اور اس طرح زور زور سے پاؤں مار کر نہ چلیں کہ ان کی پوشیدہ زینت معلوم ہو جائے ، اے مسلمانوں! تم سب کے سب اللہ کی جناب میں توبہ کرو تاکہ تم نجات پاؤ ۔

اور ان لوگوں کو پاک دامن رہنا چاہیے جو اپنا نکاح کرنے کا مقدور نہیں رکھتے یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالٰی انہیں اپنے فضل سے مالدار بنا دے ، تمہارے غلاموں میں سے جو کوئی کچھ تمہیں دے کر آزادی کی تحریر کرانی چاہے تو تم ایسی تحریر انہیں کر دیا کرو اگر تم کو ان میں کوئی بھلائی نظر آتی ہو اور اللہ نے جو مال تمہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے انہیں بھی دو ، تمہاری جو لونڈیاں پاک دامن رہنا چاہتی ہیں انہیں دنیا کی زندگی کے فائدے کی غرض سے بدکاری پر مجبور نہ کرو اور جو انہیں مجبور کر دے تو اللہ تعالٰی ان پر جبر کے بعد بخش دینے والا اور مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess - then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek [thereby] the temporary interests of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is [to them], after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful.

ایمان والو! تم سے تمہاری ملکیت کے غلاموں کو اور انہیں بھی جو تم میں سے بلوغت کو نہ پہنچے ہوں ( اپنے آنے کی ) تین وقتوں میں اجازت حاصل کرنی ضروری ہے ۔ نماز فجر سے پہلے اور ظہر کے وقت جب کہ تم اپنے کپڑے اتار رکھتے ہو اور عشا کی نماز کے بعد ، یہ تینوں وقت تمہاری ( خلوت ) اور پردہ کے ہیں ، ان وقتوں کے ماسوا نہ تو تم پر کوئی گناہ ہے اور نہ ان پر ، تم سب آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے پاس بکثرت آنے جانے والے ہو ( ہی ) ، اللہ اس طرح کھول کھول کر اپنے احکام تم سے بیان فرما رہا ہے ۔ اللہ تعالٰی پورے علم اور کامل حکمت والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, let those whom your right hands possess and those who have not [yet] reached puberty among you ask permission of you [before entering] at three times: before the dawn prayer and when you put aside your clothing [for rest] at noon and after the night prayer. [These are] three times of privacy for you. There is no blame upon you nor upon them beyond these [periods], for they continually circulate among you - some of you, among others. Thus does Allah make clear to you the verses; and Allah is Knowing and Wise.

ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے سوا جنہیں اپنے معبود ٹھہرا رکھے ہیں وہ کسی چیز کو پیدا نہیں کر سکتے بلکہ وہ خود پیدا کئے جاتے ہیں ، یہ تو اپنی جان کے نقصان نفع کا بھی اختیار نہیں رکھتے اور نہ موت و حیات کے اور نہ دوبارہ جی اٹھنے کے وہ مالک ہیں ۔

But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.

یہ آپ کے پاس جو کوئی مثال لائیں گے ہم اس کا سچا جواب اور عمدہ توجیہ آپ کو بتا دیں گے ۔

And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

یہ اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ان کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ تو انہیں کوئی نفع دے سکیں نہ کوئی نقصان پہنچا سکیں ، اور کافر تو ہے ہی اپنے رب کے خلاف ( شیطان کی ) مدد کرنے والا ۔

But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].

اور اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے اور کسی ایسے شخص کو جسے قتل کرنا اللہ تعالٰی نے منع کر دیا ہو وہ بجز حق کے قتل نہیں کرتے نہ وہ زنا کے مرتکب ہوتے ہیں اور جو کوئی یہ کام کرے وہ اپنے اوپر سخت وبال لائے گا ۔

And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

اور اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے اور کسی ایسے شخص کو جسے قتل کرنا اللہ تعالٰی نے منع کر دیا ہو وہ بجز حق کے قتل نہیں کرتے نہ وہ زنا کے مرتکب ہوتے ہیں اور جو کوئی یہ کام کرے وہ اپنے اوپر سخت وبال لائے گا ۔

And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

اور میرا سینہ تنگ ہو رہا ہے میری زبان چل نہیں رہی پس تو ہارون کی طرف بھی ( وحی ) بھیج ۔

And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.

اور جس دن کہ لوگ دوبارہ جلائے جائیں مجھے رسوا نہ کر ۔

And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected -

اور نہ کوئی ( سچا ) غم خوار دوست ۔

And not a devoted friend.

بے باک حد سے گزر جانے والوں کی اطاعت سے باز آجاؤ ۔

And do not obey the order of the transgressors,

جو ملک میں فساد پھیلا رہے ہیں اور اصلاح نہیں کرتے ۔

Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend."

۔ ( خبر دار! ) اسے برائی سے ہاتھ نہ لگانا ورنہ ایک بڑے بھاری دن کا عذاب تمہاری گرفت کر لے گا ۔

And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."

ناپ پورا بھرا کرو کم دینے والوں میں شمولیت نہ کرو ۔

Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.

لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں کمی سے نہ دو بے باکی کے ساتھ زمین میں فساد مچاتے نہ پھرو ۔

And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.

لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں کمی سے نہ دو بے باکی کے ساتھ زمین میں فساد مچاتے نہ پھرو ۔

And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.

اس شہر میں نو سردار تھے جو زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے رہتے تھے اور اصلاح نہیں کرتے تھے ۔

And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs].

آپ ان کے بارے میں غم نہ کریں اور ان کے داؤں گھات سے تنگ دل نہ ہوں ۔

And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.

آپ ان کے بارے میں غم نہ کریں اور ان کے داؤں گھات سے تنگ دل نہ ہوں ۔

And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire.

بیشک آپ نہ مردوں کو سنا سکتے ہیں اور نہ بہروں کو اپنی پکار سنا سکتے ہیں جبکہ وہ پیٹھ پھیرے روگرداں جا رہے ہوں ۔

Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating.

ہم نے موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کی ماں کو وحی کی کہ اسے دودھ پلاتی رہ اور جب تجھے اس کی نسبت کوئی خوف معلوم ہو تو اسے دریا میں بہا دینا اور کوئی ڈر خوف یا رنج غم نہ کرنا ہم یقیناً اسے تیری طرف لوٹانے والے ہیں اور اسے اپنے پیغمبروں میں بنانے والے ہیں ۔

And We inspired to the mother of Moses, "Suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers."

ہم نے موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) کی ماں کو وحی کی کہ اسے دودھ پلاتی رہ اور جب تجھے اس کی نسبت کوئی خوف معلوم ہو تو اسے دریا میں بہا دینا اور کوئی ڈر خوف یا رنج غم نہ کرنا ہم یقیناً اسے تیری طرف لوٹانے والے ہیں اور اسے اپنے پیغمبروں میں بنانے والے ہیں ۔

And We inspired to the mother of Moses, "Suckle him; but when you fear for him, cast him into the river and do not fear and do not grieve. Indeed, We will return him to you and will make him [one] of the messengers."

پس ہم نے اسے اس کی ماں کی طرف واپس پہنچایا تاکہ اس کی آنکھیں ٹھنڈی رہیں اور آزردہ خاطر نہ ہو اور جان لے کہ اللہ تعالٰی کا وعدہ سچا ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے ۔

So We restored him to his mother that she might be content and not grieve and that she would know that the promise of Allah is true. But most of the people do not know.

اور یہ ( بھی آواز آئی ) کہ اپنی لاٹھی ڈال دے ۔ پھر جب اس نے دیکھا کہ وہ سانپ کی طرح پھن پھنا رہی ہے تو پیٹھ پھیر کر واپس ہوگئے اور مڑ کر رُخ بھی نہ کیا ، ہم نے کہا اے موسٰی! آگے آ ڈر مت ، یقیناً تو ہر طرح امن والا ہے ۔

And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it was a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [ Allah said], "O Moses, approach and fear not. Indeed, you are of the secure.

اور جو کچھ تجھے اللہ تعالٰی نے دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے آخرت کے گھر کی تلاش بھی رکھ اور اپنے دنیوی حصے کو بھی نہ بھول اورجیسے کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے تیرے ساتھ احسان کیا ہے تو بھی اچھا سلوک کر اور ملک میں فساد کا خواہاں نہ ہو یقین مان کہ اللہ مفسدوں کو ناپسند رکھتا ہے ۔

But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters."

اور جو کچھ تجھے اللہ تعالٰی نے دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے آخرت کے گھر کی تلاش بھی رکھ اور اپنے دنیوی حصے کو بھی نہ بھول اورجیسے کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے تیرے ساتھ احسان کیا ہے تو بھی اچھا سلوک کر اور ملک میں فساد کا خواہاں نہ ہو یقین مان کہ اللہ مفسدوں کو ناپسند رکھتا ہے ۔

But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters."

قارون نے کہا یہ سب کچھ مجھے میری اپنی سمجھ کی بنا پر ہی دیا گیا ہے کیا اسے اب تک یہ نہیں معلوم کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے اس سے پہلے بہت سے بستی والوں کو غارت کر دیا جو اس سے بہت زیادہ قوت والے اور بہت بڑی جمع پونجی والے تھے اور گنہگاروں سے ان کے گناہوں کی باز پرس ایسے وقت نہیں کی جاتی ۔

He said, "I was only given it because of knowledge I have." Did he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of generations those who were greater than him in power and greater in accumulation [of wealth]? But the criminals, about their sins, will not be asked.

ذی علم لوگ انہیں سمجھانے لگے کہ افسوس! بہتر چیز تو وہ ہے جو بطور ثواب انہیں ملے گی جو اللہ پر ایمان لائیں اور نیک عمل کریں یہ بات انہی کے دل میں ڈالی جاتی ہے جو صبر وسہارے والے ہوں ۔

But those who had been given knowledge said, "Woe to you! The reward of Allah is better for he who believes and does righteousness. And none are granted it except the patient."

آخرت کا یہ بھلا گھر ہم ان ہی کے لئے مقرر کر دیتے ہیں جو زمین میں اونچائی بڑائی اور فخر نہیں کرتے نہ فساد کی چاہت رکھتے ہیں پرہیزگاروں کے لئے نہایت ہی عمدہ انجام ہے ۔

That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth or corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.

خیال رکھئے کہ یہ کفار آپ کو اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کی تبلیغ سے روک نہ دیں اس کے بعد کہ یہ آپ کی جانب اتاری گئیں ، تو اپنے رب کی طرف بلاتے رہیں اور شرک کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہوں ۔

And never let them avert you from the verses of Allah after they have been revealed to you. And invite [people] to your Lord. And never be of those who associate others with Allah .

خیال رکھئے کہ یہ کفار آپ کو اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کی تبلیغ سے روک نہ دیں اس کے بعد کہ یہ آپ کی جانب اتاری گئیں ، تو اپنے رب کی طرف بلاتے رہیں اور شرک کرنے والوں میں سے نہ ہوں ۔

And never let them avert you from the verses of Allah after they have been revealed to you. And invite [people] to your Lord. And never be of those who associate others with Allah .

اللہ تعالٰی کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود نہ پکارنا بجز اللہ تعالٰی کے کوئی اور معبود نہیں ، ہرچیز فنا ہونے والی ہے مگر اسی کا منہ ( اور ذات ) اسی کے لئے فرمانروائی ہے اور تم اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے ۔

And do not invoke with Allah another deity. There is no deity except Him. Everything will be destroyed except His Face. His is the judgement, and to Him you will be returned.

تم نہ تو زمین میں اللہ تعالٰی کو عاجز کر سکتے ہو نہ آسمان میں ، اللہ تعالٰی کے سوا تمہارا کوئی والی ہے نہ مددگار ۔

And you will not cause failure [to Allah ] upon the earth or in the heaven. And you have not other than Allah any protector or any helper.

پھر جب ہمارے قاصد لوط ( علیہ السلام ) کے پاس پہنچے تو وہ ان کی وجہ سے غمگین ہوئے اور دل ہی دل میں رنج کرنے لگے قاصدوں نے کہا آپ نہ خوف کھائیے نہ آ زردہ ہوں ، ہم آپ کو مع آپ کے متعلقین کے بچا لیں گے مگر آپ کی بیوی کہ وہ عذاب کے لئے باقی رہ جانے والوں میں سے ہوگی ۔

And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.

اور مدین کی طرف ہم نے ان کے بھائی شعیب ( علیہ السلام ) کو بھیجا انہوں نے کہا اے میری قوم کے لوگو! اللہ کی عبادت کرو قیامت کے دن کی توقع رکھو اور زمین میں فساد نہ کرتے پھرو ۔

And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah and expect the Last Day and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption."

اور اہل کتاب کے ساتھ بحث و مباحثہ نہ کرو مگر اس طریقہ پر جو عمدہ ہو مگر ان کے ساتھ جو ان میں ظالم ہیں اور صاف اعلان کردو کہ ہمارا تو اس کتاب پر بھی ایمان ہے جو ہم پر اتاری گئی اور اس پر بھی جو تم پر اتاری گئی ہمارا تمہارا معبود ایک ہی ہے ۔ ہم سب اسی کے حکم برادر ہیں ۔

And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."
