الفاظ ( وَمَا )

شان رحمٰن کے لائق نہیں کہ وہ اولاد رکھے ۔

And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.

جس کی ملکیت آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان دونوں کے درمیان اور ( کرۂ خاک ) کے نیچے کی ہر ایک چیز پر ہے ۔

To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil.

جس کی ملکیت آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان دونوں کے درمیان اور ( کرۂ خاک ) کے نیچے کی ہر ایک چیز پر ہے ۔

اے موسٰی! تیرے اس دائیں ہاتھ میں کیا ہے؟

And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?"

فرعون نے اپنی قوم کو گمراہی میں ڈال دیا اور سیدھا راستہ نہ دکھایا ۔

And Pharaoh led his people astray and did not guide [them].

جو کچھ ان کے آگے پیچھے ہے اسے اللہ ہی جانتا ہے مخلوق کا علم اس پر حاوی نہیں ہو سکتا ۔

Allah knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, but they do not encompass it in knowledge.

ہم نے ان کے ایسے جسم نہیں بنائے تھے کہ وہ کھانا نہ کھائیں اور نہ وہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے تھے ۔

And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].

ہم نے ان کے ایسے جسم نہیں بنائے تھے کہ وہ کھانا نہ کھائیں اور نہ وہ ہمیشہ رہنے والے تھے ۔

ہم نے آسمان و زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی چیزوں کو کھیلتے ہوئے نہیں بنایا ۔

And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.

ہم نے آسمان و زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی چیزوں کو کھیلتے ہوئے نہیں بنایا ۔

And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.

وہ ان کے آگے پیچھے کے تمام امور سے واقف ہے وہ کسی کی بھی سفارش نہیں کرتے بجز ان کے جن سے اللہ خوش ہو وہ خود ہیبت الٰہی سے لرزاں و ترساں ہیں ۔

He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive.

آپ سے پہلے کسی انسان کو بھی ہم نے ہمیشگی نہیں دی کیا اگر آپ مر گئے تو وہ ہمیشہ کے لئے رہ جائیں گے ۔

And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?

تم اور اللہ کے سوا جن جن کی تم عبادت کرتے ہو سب دوزخ کا ایندھن بنو گے ، تم سب دوزخ میں جانے والے ہو ۔

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.

جس دن تم اسے دیکھ لو گے ہر دودھ پلانے والی اپنے دودھ پیتے بچے کو بھول جائے گی اور تمام حمل والیوں کے حمل گر جائیں گے اور تو دیکھے گا کہ لوگ مد ہوش ، دکھائی دیں گیں ، حالانکہ درحقیقت وہ متوالے نہ ہونگے لیکن اللہ کا عذاب بڑا ہی سخت ہے ۔

On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.

اللہ کے سوا انہیں پکاراکر تے ہیں جو نہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکیں نہ نفع ۔ یہی تو دور دراز کی گمراہی ہے ۔

He invokes instead of Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.

آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے اسی کا ہے اور یقیناً اللہ وہی ہے بے نیاز تعریفوں والا ۔

To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

اور یہ اللہ کے سوا ان کی عبادت کر رہے ہیں جس کی کوئی خدائی دلیل نازل نہیں ہوئی نہ وہ خود ہی اس کا کوئی علم رکھتے ہیں ۔ ظالموں کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ۔

And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.

وہ بخوبی جانتا ہے جو کچھ ان کے آگے ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے پیچھے ہے اور اللہ ہی کی طرف سب کام لوٹائے جاتے ہیں ۔

He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them. And to Allah will be returned [all] matters.

اور اللہ کی راہ میں ویسا ہی جہاد کرو جیسے جہاد کا حق ہے اسی نے تمہیں برگزیدہ بنایا ہے اور تم پر دین کے بارے میں کوئی تنگی نہیں ڈالی ، دین اپنے باپ ابراہیم ( علیہ السلام ) کا قائم رکھو اسی اللہ نے تمہارا نام مسلمان رکھا ہے ۔ اس قرآن سے پہلے اور اس میں بھی تاکہ پیغمبر تم پر گواہ ہو جائے اور تم تمام لوگوں کے گواہ بن جاؤ ۔ پس تمہیں چاہیے کہ نمازیں قائم رکھو اور زکوۃ ادا کرتے رہو اور اللہ کو مضبوط تھام لو وہی تمہارا ولی اور مالک ہے ۔ پس کیا ہی اچھا مالک ہے اور کتنا ہی بہتر مددگار ہے ۔

And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah . He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.

ہم نے تمہارے اوپر سات آسمان بنائے ہیں اور ہم مخلوقات سے غافل نہیں ہیں ۔

And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware.

۔ ( زندگی ) تو صرف دنیا کی زندگی ہے ہم مرتے جیتے رہتے ہیں اور یہ نہیں کہ ہم پھر اٹھائے جائیں گے ۔

Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected.

نہ تو کوئی امت اپنے وقت مقرہ سے آگے بڑھی اور نہ پیچھے رہی ۔

No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter].

اور ہم نے انہیں عذاب میں بھی پکڑا تاہم یہ لوگ نہ تو اپنے پروردگار کے سامنے جھکے اور نہ ہی عاجزی اختیار کی ۔

And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus]

ہاں غیر آباد گھروں میں جہاں تمہارا کوئی فائدہ یا اسباب ہو جانے میں تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں ۔ تم جو کچھ بھی ظاہر کرتے ہو اور جو چھپاتے ہو اللہ تعالٰی سب کچھ جانتا ہے ۔

There is no blame upon you for entering houses not inhabited in which there is convenience for you. And Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.

کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا حکم مانو ، رسول اللہ کی اطاعت کرو ، پھر بھی اگر تم نے روگردانی کی تو رسول کے ذمے تو صرف وہی ہے جو اس پر لازم کر دیا گیا ہے اور تم پر اس کی جوابدہی ہے جو تم پر رکھا گیا ہے ہدایت تو تمہیں اسی وقت ملے گی جب رسول کی ماتحتی کرو سنو رسول کے ذمے تو صرف صاف طور پر پہنچا دینا ہے ۔

Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon him is only that [duty] with which he has been charged, and upon you is that with which you have been charged. And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided. And there is not upon the Messenger except the [responsibility for] clear notification."

اور جس دن اللہ تعالٰی انہیں اور سوائے اللہ کے جنہیں یہ پوجتے رہے ، انہیں جمع کرکے پوچھے گا کہ کیا میرے ان بندوں کو تم نے گمراہ کیا یا یہ خود ہی راہ سے گم ہوگئے ۔

And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"

وہی ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی سب چیزوں کو چھ دن میں پیدا کر دیا ہے ، پھر عرش پر مستوی ہوا وہ رحمان ہے ، آپ اس کے بارے میں کسی خبردار سے پوچھ لیں ۔

He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.

ان سے جب بھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ رحمان کو سجدہ کرو تو جواب دیتے ہیں رحمان ہے کیا؟ کیا ہم اسے سجدہ کریں جس کا تو ہمیں حکم دے رہا ہے اور اس ( تبلیغ ) نے ان کی نفرت میں مزید اضافہ کر دیا ۔

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

اور ان کے پاس رحمان کی طرف سے جو بھی نئی نصیحت آئی یہ اس سے روگردانی کرنے والے بن گئے ۔

And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.

بیشک اس میں یقیناً نشانی ہے اور ان میں کے اکثر لوگ مومن نہیں ہیں ۔

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

فرعون نے کہا رب العالمین کیا ( چیز ) ہے؟

Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"

۔ ( حضرت ) موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے فرمایا وہ آسمانوں اور زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی تمام چیزوں کا رب ہے ، اگر تم یقین رکھنے والے ہو ۔

[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."

۔ ( حضرت ) موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے فرمایا ! وہ ہی مشرق و مغرب کا اور ان کے درمیان کی تمام چیزوں کا رب ہے ، اگر تم عقل رکھتے ہو ۔

[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."

یقیناً اس میں بڑی عبرت ہے اور ان میں کے اکثر لوگ ایمان والے نہیں ۔

یہ ماجرہ یقیناً ایک زبردست نشانی ہے ان میں اکثر لوگ ایمان لانے والے نہیں ۔

آپ نے فرمایا! مجھے کیا خبر کہ وہ پہلے کیا کرتے رہے؟

He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?

یقیناً اس میں بہت بڑی عبرت ہے ۔ ان میں سے اکثر لوگ ایمان لانے والے تھے بھی نہیں ۔

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

اور ہم ہرگز عذاب نہیں دیئے جائیں گے ۔

And we are not to be punished."

چونکہ عادیوں نے حضرت ہود کو جھٹلایا اس لئے ہم نے انہیں تباہ کر دیا ، یقیناً اس میں نشانی ہے اور ان میں سے اکثر بے ایمان تھے ۔

And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

اور عذاب نے انہیں آدبوچا بیشک اس میں عبرت ہے ۔ اور ان میں سےاکثر لوگ مومن نہ تھے ۔

And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

یہ ما جرا بھی سرا سر عبرت ہے ۔ ان میں سے بھی اکثر مسلمان نہ تھے ۔

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

یقیناً اس میں بڑی نشانی ہے اور ان میں کے اکثر مسلمان نہ تھے ۔

Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

نصیحت کے طور پر اور ہم ظلم کرنے والے نہیں ہیں ۔

As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.

اس قرآن کو شیطان نہیں لائے ۔

And the devils have not brought the revelation down.

نہ وہ اس کےقابل ہیں نہ انہیں اس کی طاقت ہے ۔

It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.

نہ وہ اس کےقابل ہیں نہ انہیں اس کی طاقت ہے ۔

It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.

کہ اسی اللہ کے لئے سجدے کریں جو آسمانوں اور زمینوں کی پوشیدہ چیزوں کو باہر نکالتا ہے اور جو کچھ تم چھپاتے ہو اور ظاہر کرتے ہو وہ سب کچھ جانتا ہے ۔

[And] so they do not prostrate to Allah , who brings forth what is hidden within the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare -

کہہ دیجئے کہ آسمان والوں میں سے زمین والوں میں سے سوائے اللہ کے کوئی غیب نہیں جانتا انہیں تو یہ بھی نہیں معلوم کہ کب اٹھا کھڑے کئے جائیں گے؟

Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah , and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected."

بیشک آپ کا رب ان چیزوں کو بھی جانتا ہے جنہیں ان کے سینے چھپا رہے ہیں اور جنہیں ظاہر کر رہے ہیں ۔

And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare.
