الفاظ ( وَلَا )

نیکی اور بدی برابر نہیں ہوتی برائی کو بھلائی سے دفع کرو پھر وہی جس کے اور تمہارے درمیان دشمنی ہے ایسا ہو جائے گا جیسے دلی دوست ۔

And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.

نیکی اور بدی برابر نہیں ہوتی برائی کو بھلائی سے دفع کرو پھر وہی جس کے اور تمہارے درمیان دشمنی ہے ایسا ہو جائے گا جیسے دلی دوست ۔

And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.

اور دن رات اور سورج چاند بھی ( اسی کی ) نشانیوں میں سے ہیں تم سورج کو سجدہ نہ کرو نہ چاند کو بلکہ سجدہ اس اللہ کے لئے کرو جس نے سب کو پیدا کیا ہے اگر تمہیں اسی کی عبادت کرنی ہے تو ۔

And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them, if it should be Him that you worship.

جس کے پاس باطل پھٹک بھی نہیں سکتا نہ اس کے آگے سے اور نہ اس کے پیچھے سے ، یہ ہے نازل کردہ حکمتوں والے خوبیوں والے ( اللہ ) کی طرف سے ۔

Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy.

قیامت کا علم اللہ ہی کی طرف لوٹایا جاتا ہے اور جو جو پھل اپنے شگوفوں میں سے نکلتے ہیں اور جو مادہ حمل سے ہوتی ہے اور جو بچے وہ جنتی ہے سب کا علم اسے ہے اور جس دن اللہ تعالٰی ان ( مشرکوں ) کو بلا کر دریافت فرمائے گا میرے شریک کہاں ہیں ، وہ جواب دیں گے کہ ہم نے تو تجھے کہہ سنایا کہ ہم میں سے تو کوئی اس کا گواہ نہیں ۔

To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]."

اللہ تعالٰی نے تمہارے لئے وہی دین مقرر کر دیا ہے جس کے قائم کرنے کا اس نے نوح ( علیہ السلام ) کو حکم دیا تھا اور جو ( بذریعہ وحی ) ہم نے تیری طرف بھیج دی ہے ، اور جس کا تاکیدی حکم ہم نے ابراہیم اور موسیٰ اور عیسیٰ ( علیہم السلام ) کو دیا تھا کہ اس دین کو قائم رکھنا اور اس میں پھوٹ نہ ڈالنا جس چیز کی طرف آپ انہیں بلا رہے ہیں وہ تو ( ان ) مشرکین پر گراں گزرتی ہے اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہتا ہے اپنا برگزیدہ بناتا ہے اور جو بھی اس کی طرف رجوع کرے وہ اس کی صحیح راہنمائی کرتا ہے ۔

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to Him].

پس آپ لوگوں کو اسی طرف بلاتے رہیں اور جو کچھ آپ سے کہا گیا ہے اس پر مضبوطی سے جم جائیں اور ان کی خواہشوں پر نہ چلیں اور کہہ دیں کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے جتنی کتابیں نازل فرمائی ہیں میرا ان پر ایمان ہے اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ تم میں انصاف کرتا رہوں ہمارا اور تم سب کا پروردگار اللہ ہی ہے ہمارے اعمال ہمارے لئے ہیں اور تمہارے اعمال تمہارے لیئے ہیں ہم تم میں کوئی کٹ حجتی نہیں اللہ تعالٰی ہم ( سب ) کو جمع کرے گا اور اسی کی طرف لوٹنا ہے ۔

So to that [religion of Allah ] invite, [O Muhammad], and remain on a right course as you are commanded and do not follow their inclinations but say, "I have believed in what Allah has revealed of the Qur'an, and I have been commanded to do justice among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us are our deeds, and for you your deeds. There is no [need for] argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is the [final] destination."

اور اسی طرح ہم نے آپ کی طرف اپنے حکم سے روح کو اتارا ہے ، آپ اس سے پہلے یہ بھی نہیں جانتے تھے کہ کتاب اور ایمان کیا چیز ہے ؟ لیکن ہم نے اسے نور بنایا ، اس کے ذریعہ سے اپنے بندوں میں جسے چاہتے ہیں ، ہدایت دیتے ہیں ، بیشک آپ راہ راست کی رہنمائی کر رہے ہیں ۔

And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what is the Book or [what is] faith, but We have made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, [O Muhammad], you guide to a straight path -

اور شیطان تمہیں روک نہ دے یقیناً وہ تمہارا صریح دشمن ہے ۔

And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.

جنہیں یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہیں وہ شفاعت کرنے کا اختیار نہیں رکھتے ہاں ( مستحق شفاعت وہ ہیں ) جو حق بات کا اقرار کریں اور انہیں علم بھی ہو ۔

And those they invoke besides Him do not possess [power of] intercession; but only those who testify to the truth [can benefit], and they know.

ان کے پیچھے دوزخ ہے جو کچھ انہوں نے حاصل کیا تھا وہ انہیں کچھ بھی نفع نہ دے گا اور نہ وہ ( کچھ کام آئیں گے ) جن کو انہوں نے اللہ کے سوا کارساز بنا رکھا تھا ان کے لئے تو بہت بڑا عذاب ہے ۔

Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allah as allies. And they will have a great punishment.

پھر ہم نے آپ کو دین کی ( ظاہر ) راہ پر قائم کر دیا سو آپ اس پر لگیں رہیں اور نادانوں کی خواہشوں کی پیروی میں نہ پڑیں ۔

Then We put you, [O Muhammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.

یہ اس لئے ہے کہ تم نے اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کی ہنسی اڑائی تھی اور دنیا کی زندگی نے تمہیں دھوکے میں ڈال رکھا تھا ، پس آج کے دن نہ تو یہ ( دوزخ ) سے نکالے جائیں گے اور نہ ان سے عذر و معذرت قبول کیا جائے گا ۔

That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [ Allah ].

آپ کہہ دیجئے! کہ میں کوئی بالکل انو کھا پیغمبر تونہیں نہ مجھے یہ معلوم ہے کہ میرے ساتھ اور تمہارے ساتھ کیا کیا جائے گا ۔ میں تو صرف اسی کی پیروی کرتا ہوں جو میری طرف وحی بھیجی جاتی ہے اور میں تو صرف علی الاعلا ن آگاہ کر دینے والا ہوں ۔

Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner."

بیشک جن لوگوں نے کہا کہ ہمارا رب اللہ ہے پھر اس پر جمے رہے تو ان پر نہ توکوئی خوف ہوگا اورنہ غمگین ہونگے ۔

Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah ," and then remained on a right course - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

پس ( اے پیغمبر ! ) تم ایسا صبر کرو جیسا صبر عالی ہمت رسولوں نے کیا اور ان کے لئے ( عذاب طلب ) کرنے میں جلدی نہ کرو یہ جس دن اس عذاب کو دیکھ لیں گے جس کا وعدہ دیئے جاتے ہیں تو ( یہ معلوم ہونے لگے گا کہ ) دن کی ایک گھڑی ہی ( دنیا میں ) ٹھہرے تھے یہ ہے پیغام پہنچا دینا ، پس بدکاروں کے سوا کوئی ہلاک نہ کیا جائے گا ۔

So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be - on the Day they see that which they are promised - as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people?

اے ایمان والو! اللہ کی اطاعت کرو اور رسول کا کہا مانو اور اپنے اعمال کو غارت نہ کرو ۔

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and do not invalidate your deeds.

واقعی زندگانیٔ دنیا تو صرف کھیل کود ہے اور اگر تم ایمان لے آؤ گے اور تقوٰی اختیار کرو گے تو اللہ تمہیں تمہارے اجر دے گا اور وہ تم سے تمہارے مال نہیں مانگتا ۔

[This] worldly life is only amusement and diversion. And if you believe and fear Allah , He will give you your rewards and not ask you for your properties.

اے ایمان والو! اپنی آوازیں نبی کی آواز سے اوپر نہ کرو اور نہ ان سے اونچی آواز سے بات کرو جیسے آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے کرتے ہو ، کہیں ( ایسا نہ ہو ) کہ تمہارے اعمال اکارت جائیں اور تمہیں خبربھی نہ ہو ۔

O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.

اے ایمان والو! مرد دوسرے مردوں کا مذاق نہ اڑائیں ممکن ہے کہ یہ ان سے بہتر ہوں اور نہ عورتیں عورتوں کا مذاق اڑائیں ممکن ہے کہ یہ ان سے بہتر ہوں اور آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو عیب نہ لگاؤ اور نہ کسی کو برے لقب دو ایمان کے بعد فسق برا نام ہے ، اور جو توبہ نہ کریں وہی ظالم لوگ ہیں ۔

O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

اے ایمان والو! مرد دوسرے مردوں کا مذاق نہ اڑائیں ممکن ہے کہ یہ ان سے بہتر ہوں اور نہ عورتیں عورتوں کا مذاق اڑائیں ممکن ہے کہ یہ ان سے بہتر ہوں اور آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو عیب نہ لگاؤ اور نہ کسی کو برے لقب دو ایمان کے بعد فسق برا نام ہے ، اور جو توبہ نہ کریں وہی ظالم لوگ ہیں ۔

اے ایمان والو! مرد دوسرے مردوں کا مذاق نہ اڑائیں ممکن ہے کہ یہ ان سے بہتر ہوں اور نہ عورتیں عورتوں کا مذاق اڑائیں ممکن ہے کہ یہ ان سے بہتر ہوں اور آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو عیب نہ لگاؤ اور نہ کسی کو برے لقب دو ایمان کے بعد فسق برا نام ہے ، اور جو توبہ نہ کریں وہی ظالم لوگ ہیں ۔

O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

اے ایمان والو! بہت بد گمانیوں سے بچو یقین مانو کہ بعض بد گمانیاں گناہ ہیں اور بھید نہ ٹٹولا کرو اور نہ تم میں سے کوئی کسی کی غیبت کرے کیا تم میں سے کوئی بھی اپنے مردہ بھائی کا گوشت کھانا پسند کرتا ہے؟ تم کو اس سے گھن آئے گی اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو ، بیشک اللہ توبہ قبول کرنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.

اور اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود نہ ٹھہراؤ بیشک میں تمہیں اس کی طرف سے کھلا ڈرانے والا ہوں ۔

And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

۔ ( خوش طبعی کے ساتھ ) ایک دوسرے سے جام ( شراب ) کی چھینا جھپٹی کریں گے جس شراب کے سرور میں تو بیہودہ گوئی ہوگی نہ گناہ ۔

They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin.

اور ہنس رہے ہو؟ روتے نہیں؟

And you laugh and do not weep

انصاف کے ساتھ وزن کو ٹھیک رکھو اور تول میں کم نہ دو ۔

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

وہاں ( شرمیلی ) نیچی نگاہ والی حوریں ہیں جنہیں ان سے پہلے کسی جن و انس نے ہاتھ نہیں لگایا ۔

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

ان کو ہاتھ نہیں لگایا کسی انسان یا جن نے اس سے قبل ۔

Untouched before them by man or jinni -

جس سے نہ سر میں درد ہو نہ عقل میں فتور آئے ۔

No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

کیا اب تک ایمان والوں کے لئے وقت نہیں آیا کہ ان کے دل ذکر الٰہی سے اور جو حق اتر چکا ہے اس سے نرم ہوجائیں اور ان کی طرح نہ ہوجائیں جنہیں ان سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی تھی پھر جب ان پر ایک زمانہ دراز گزر گیا تو ان کے دل سخت ہوگئے اور ان میں بہت سے فاسق ہیں ۔

Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.

نہ کوئی مصیبت دنیا میں آتی ہے نہ ( خاص ) تمہاری جانوں میں مگر اس سے پہلے کہ ہم اس کو پیدا کریں وہ ایک خاص کتاب میں لکھی ہوئی ہے یہ ( کام ) اللہ تعالٰی پر ( بالکل ) آسان ہے ۔

No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah , is easy -

تاکہ تم اپنے سے فوت شدہ کسی چیز پر رنجیدہ نہ ہو جایا کرو اور نہ عطا کردہ چیز پر اترا جاؤ اور اترانے والے شیخی خوروں کو اللہ پسند نہیں فرماتا ۔

In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -

کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ آسمانوں کی اور زمین کی ہرچیز سے واقف ہے ۔ تین آدمیوں کی سرگوشی نہیں ہوتی مگر اللہ ان کا چوتھا ہوتا ہے اور نہ پانچ کی مگر ان کا چھٹا وہ ہوتا ہے اور نہ اس سے کم کی اور نہ زیادہ کی مگر وہ ساتھ ہی ہوتا ہے جہاں بھی وہ ہوں پھر قیامت کے دن انہیں ان کہ اعمال سے آگاہ کرے گا بیشک اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز سے واقف ہے ۔

Have you not considered that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth? There is in no private conversation three but that He is the fourth of them, nor are there five but that He is the sixth of them - and no less than that and no more except that He is with them [in knowledge] wherever they are. Then He will inform them of what they did, on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing.

کیا تو نے ان لوگوں کو نہیں دیکھا؟ جنہوں نے اس قوم سے دوستی کی جن پر اللہ غضبناک ہو چکا ہے نہ یہ ( منافق ) تمہارے ہی ہیں نہ ان کے ہیں باوجود علم کے پھر بھی جھوٹ پر قسمیں کھا رہے ہیں ۔

Have you not considered those who make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to untruth while they know [they are lying].

اور ( ان کے لئے ) جنہوں نے اس گھر میں ( یعنی مدینہ ) اور ایمان میں ان سے پہلے جگہ بنالی ہے اور اپنی طرف ہجرت کرکے آنے والوں سے محبت کرتے ہیں اور مہاجرین کو جو کچھ دے دیا جائے اس سے وہ اپنے دلوں میں کوئی تنگی نہیں رکھتے بلکہ خود اپنے اوپر انہیں ترجیح دیتے ہیں گو خود کتنی ہی سخت حاجت ہو ( بات یہ ہے ) کہ جو بھی اپنے نفس کے بخل سے بچایا گیا وہی کامیاب ( اور با مراد ) ہے ۔

And [also for] those who were settled in al-Madinah and [adopted] the faith before them. They love those who emigrated to them and find not any want in their breasts of what the emigrants were given but give [them] preference over themselves, even though they are in privation. And whoever is protected from the stinginess of his soul - it is those who will be the successful.

اور ( ان کے لئے ) جو ان کے بعد آئیں جو کہیں گے کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار ہمیں بخش دے اور ہمارے ان بھائیوں کو بھی جو ہم سے پہلے ایمان لاچکے ہیں اور ایمانداروں کی طرف سے ہمارے دل میں کینہ ( اور دشمنی ) نہ ڈال اے ہمارے رب بیشک تو شفقت و مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

And [there is a share for] those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful."

کیا تو نے منافقوں کو نہ دیکھا؟ کہ اپنے اہل کتاب کافر بھائیوں سے کہتے ہیں اگر تم جلا وطن کئے گئے تو ضرور بالضرور ہم بھی تمہارے ساتھ نکل کھڑے ہونگے اور تمہارے بارے میں ہم کبھی بھی کسی کی بات نہ مانیں گے اور اگر تم سے جنگ کی جائے گی تو بخدا ہم تمہاری مدد کریں گے ، لیکن اللہ تعالٰی گواہی دیتا ہے کہ یہ قطعًا جھوٹے ہیں ۔

Have you not considered those who practice hypocrisy, saying to their brothers who have disbelieved among the People of the Scripture, "If you are expelled, we will surely leave with you, and we will not obey, in regard to you, anyone - ever; and if you are fought, we will surely aid you." But Allah testifies that they are liars.

اور تم ان لوگوں کی طرح مت ہو جانا جنہوں نے اللہ ( کے احکام ) کو بھلا دیا تو اللہ نے بھی انہیں اپنی جانوں سے غافل کر دیا اور ایسے ہی لوگ نافرمان ( فاسق ) ہوتے ہیں ۔

And be not like those who forgot Allah , so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient.

اے ایمان والو! جب تمہارے پاس مومن عورتیں ہجرت کر کے آئیں تو تم ان کا امتحان لو دراصل ان کے ایمان کو بخوبی جاننے والا تو اللہ ہی ہے لیکن اگر وہ تمہیں ایمان والیاں معلوم ہوں تو اب تم انہیں کافروں کی طرف واپس نہ کرو ، یہ ان کے لئے حلال نہیں اور نہ وہ ان کے لئے حلال ہیں اور جو خرچ ان کافروں کا ہوا ہو وہ انہیں ادا کردو ان عورتوں کو ان کے مہر دے کر ان سے نکاح کر لینے میں تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں اور کافر عورتوں کی ناموس اپنے قبضے میں نہ رکھو اور جو کچھ تم نے خرچ کیا ہو ، مانگ لوا ور جو کچھ ان کافروں نے خرچ کیا ہو وہ بھی مانگ لیں یہ اللہ کا فیصلہ ہے جو تمہارے درمیان کر رہا ہے اللہ تعالٰی بڑے علم ( اور ) حکمت والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give the disbelievers what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah ; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

اے ایمان والو! جب تمہارے پاس مومن عورتیں ہجرت کر کے آئیں تو تم ان کا امتحان لو دراصل ان کے ایمان کو بخوبی جاننے والا تو اللہ ہی ہے لیکن اگر وہ تمہیں ایمان والیاں معلوم ہوں تو اب تم انہیں کافروں کی طرف واپس نہ کرو ، یہ ان کے لئے حلال نہیں اور نہ وہ ان کے لئے حلال ہیں اور جو خرچ ان کافروں کا ہوا ہو وہ انہیں ادا کردو ان عورتوں کو ان کے مہر دے کر ان سے نکاح کر لینے میں تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں اور کافر عورتوں کی ناموس اپنے قبضے میں نہ رکھو اور جو کچھ تم نے خرچ کیا ہو ، مانگ لوا ور جو کچھ ان کافروں نے خرچ کیا ہو وہ بھی مانگ لیں یہ اللہ کا فیصلہ ہے جو تمہارے درمیان کر رہا ہے اللہ تعالٰی بڑے علم ( اور ) حکمت والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. اے ایمان والو! جب تمہارے پاس مومن عورتیں ہجرت کر کے آئیں تو تم ان کا امتحان لو دراصل ان کے ایمان کو بخوبی جاننے والا تو اللہ ہی ہے لیکن اگر وہ تمہیں ایمان والیاں معلوم ہوں تو اب تم انہیں کافروں کی طرف واپس نہ کرو ، یہ ان کے لئے حلال نہیں اور نہ وہ ان کے لئے حلال ہیں اور جو خرچ ان کافروں کا ہوا ہو وہ انہیں ادا کردو ان عورتوں کو ان کے مہر دے کر ان سے نکاح کر لینے میں تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں اور کافر عورتوں کی ناموس اپنے قبضے میں نہ رکھو اور جو کچھ تم نے خرچ کیا ہو ، مانگ لوا ور جو کچھ ان کافروں نے خرچ کیا ہو وہ بھی مانگ لیں یہ اللہ کا فیصلہ ہے جو تمہارے درمیان کر رہا ہے اللہ تعالٰی بڑے علم ( اور ) حکمت والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, when the believing women come to you as emigrants, examine them. Allah is most knowing as to their faith. And if you know them to be believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; they are not lawful [wives] for them, nor are they lawful [husbands] for them. But give the disbelievers what they have spent. And there is no blame upon you if you marry them when you have given them their due compensation. And hold not to marriage bonds with disbelieving women, but ask for what you have spent and let them ask for what they have spent. That is the judgement of Allah ; He judges between you. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

اے پیغمبر! جب مسلمان عورتیں آپ سے ان باتوں پر بیعت کرنے آئیں کہ وہ اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کریں گی چوری نہ کریں گی زنا کاری نہ کریں گی اپنی اولاد کو نہ مار ڈالیں گی اور کوئی ایسا بہتان نہ باندھیں گی جو خود اپنے ہاتھوں پیروں کے سامنے گھڑ لیں اور کسی نیک کام میں تیری بے حکمی نہ کریں گی تو آپ ان سے بیعت کرلیا کریں اور ان کے لئے اللہ سے مغفرت طلب کریں بیشک اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے اور معاف کرنے والا ہے ۔

O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah , nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs, nor will they disobey you in what is right - then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اے پیغمبر! جب مسلمان عورتیں آپ سے ان باتوں پر بیعت کرنے آئیں کہ وہ اللہ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کریں گی چوری نہ کریں گی زنا کاری نہ کریں گی اپنی اولاد کو نہ مار ڈالیں گی اور کوئی ایسا بہتان نہ باندھیں گی جو خود اپنے ہاتھوں پیروں کے سامنے گھڑ لیں اور کسی نیک کام میں تیری بے حکمی نہ کریں گی تو آپ ان سے بیعت کرلیا کریں اور ان کے لئے اللہ سے مغفرت طلب کریں بیشک اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے اور معاف کرنے والا ہے ۔

یہ کبھی بھی موت کی تمنا نہ کریں گے بوجہ ان اعمال کے جو اپنے آگے اپنے ہاتھوں بھیج رکھے ہیں اور اللہ ظالموں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

But they will not wish for it, ever, because of what their hands have put forth. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

اے نبی! ( اپنی امت سے کہو کہ ) جب تم اپنی بیویوں کو طلاق دینا چاہو تو ان کی عدت ( کے دنوں کے آغاز ) میں انہیں طلاق دو اور عدت کا حساب رکھو ، اور اللہ سے جو تمہارا پروردگار ہے ڈرتے رہو نہ تم انہیں ان کے گھر سے نکالو اور نہ وہ ( خود ) نکلیں ہاں یہ اور بات ہے کہ وہ کھلی برائی کر بیٹھیں یہ اللہ کی مقرر کردہ حدیں ہیں جو شخص اللہ کی حدوں سے آگے بڑھ جائے اس نے یقیناً اپنے اوپر ظلم کیا تم نہیں جانتے شاید اس کے بعد اللہ تعالٰی کوئی نئی بات پیدا کردے ۔

O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah , your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah . And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself. You know not; perhaps Allah will bring about after that a [different] matter.

تم اپنی طاقت کے مطابق جہاں تم رہتے ہو وہاں ان ( طلاق والی ) عورتوں کو رکھو اور انہیں تنگ کرنے کے لئے تکلیف نہ پہنچاؤ اور اگر وہ حمل سے ہوں تو جب تک بچہ پیدا ہولے انہیں خرچ دیتے رہا کرو پھر اگر تمہارے کہنے سے وہی دودھ پلائیں تو تم انہیں ان کی اجرت دے دو اور باہم مناسب طور پر مشورہ کرلیا کرو اور اگر تم آپس میں کشمکش کرو تو اس کے کہنے سے کوئی اور دودھ پلائے گی ۔

Lodge them [in a section] of where you dwell out of your means and do not harm them in order to oppress them. And if they should be pregnant, then spend on them until they give birth. And if they breastfeed for you, then give them their payment and confer among yourselves in the acceptable way; but if you are in discord, then there may breastfeed for the father another woman.

اور تو کسی ایسے شخص کا بھی کہا نہ ماننا جو زیادہ قسمیں کھانے والا ۔

And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer
