In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
By the wise Qur'an.
Qasam hai quran ba-hikmat ki.
गवाह है हिकमत वाला क़ुरआन
Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,
Kay be-shak aap payghumbaron mein hain.
- कि तुम निश्चय ही रसूलों में से हो
On a straight path.
Seedhay rastay per hain.
एक सीधे मार्ग पर
[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
Yeh quran Allah zabardast meharban ki taraf say nazil kiya gaya hai.
- क्या ही ख़ूब है, प्रभुत्वशाली, अत्यन्त दयावान का इसको अवतरित करना!
That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
Takay aap aisay logon ko darayen jin kay baap daday nahi daraye gaye thay so ( issi waja say ) yeh ghafil hain.
ताकि तुम ऐसे लोगों को सावधान करो, जिन के बाप-दादा को सावधान नहीं किया गया; इस कारण वे गफ़लत में पड़े हुए हैं
Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.
Inn mein say aksar logon per baat sabit hochuki hai so yeh log eman na layen gay.
उन में से अधिकतर लोगों पर बात सत्यापित हो चुकी है। अतः वे ईमान नहीं लाएँगे।
Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.
Hum ney unn ki gardano mein toq daal diyey hain phir woh thoriyon tak hain jiss say unn kay sir uper ko ulat gaye hain.
हम ने उन की गर्दनों में तौक़ डाल दिए हैं जो उन की ठोड़ियों से लगे हैं। अतः उन के सिर ऊपर को उचके हुए हैं
And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.
Aur hum ney aik aarh unn kay samney ker di aur aik aarh unn kay peechay kerdi jiss say hum ney unn ko dhank diya so woh nahi dekh saktay.
और हम ने उन के आगे एक दीवार खड़ी कर दी है और एक दीवार उन के पीछे भी। इस तरह हम ने उन्हें ढाँक दिया है। अतः उन्हें कुछ सुझाई नहीं देता
And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
Aur aap inn ko darayen ya na darayen dono barabar hain yeh eman nahi layen gay.
उन के लिए बराबर है तुम ने सचेत किया या उन्हें सचेत नहीं किया, वे ईमान नहीं लाएँगे
You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.
Bus aap to sirf aisay shaks ko dara saktay hain jo naseehat per chalay aur rehman say bey dekhay daray so aap uss ko maghfirat aur baq-waqar ajar ki khushkhabriyan suna dijiyey.
तुम तो बस सावधान कर रहे हो। जो कोई अनुस्मृति का अनुसरण करे और परोक्ष में रहते हुए रहमान से डरे, अतः क्षमा और प्रतिष्ठामय बदले की शुभ सूचना दे दो
Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.
Be-shak hum murdon ko zindah keren gay aur hum likhtay jatay hain woh aemaal bhi jin ko log aagay bhejtay hain aur unn kay woh aemaal bhi jin ko peechay chor jatay hain aur hum ney her cheez ko aik wazeh kitab mein zabt ker rakha hai.
निस्संदेह हम मुर्दों को जीवित करेंगे और हम लिखेंगे जो कुछ उन्होंने आगे के लिए भेजा और उन के चिन्हों को (जो पीछे रहा) । हर चीज़ हम ने एक स्पष्ट किताब में गिन रखी है
And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -
Aur aap inn kay samney aik misal ( yani aik ) basti walon ki misal ( uss waqt ka ) biyan kijiyey jabkay uss basti mein ( kaee ) rasool aaye.
उन के लिए बस्ती वालों की एक मिसाल पेश करो, जबकि वहाँ भेजे हुए दूत आए
When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."
Jab hum ney unn kay pass do ko bheja so unn logon ney ( awwal ) dono ko jhutlaya phir hum ney teesray say taeed ki so unn teeno ney kaha hum tumharay pass bhejay gaye hain.
जबकि हम ने उन की ओर दो दूत भेजे, तो उन्होंने झुठला दिया। तब हम ने तीसरे के द्वारा शक्ति पहुँचाई, तो उन्होंने कहा, "हम तुम्हारी ओर भेजे गए हैं।"
They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."
Unn logon ney kaha kay tum to humari tarah mamooli aadmi ho aur rehman ney koi cheez nazil nahi ki. Tum nira jhoot boltay ho.
वे बोले, "तुम तो बस हमारे ही जैसे मनुष्य हो। रहमान ने तो कोई भी चीज़ अवतरित नहीं की है। तुम केवल झूठ बोलते हो।"
They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,
Unn ( rasoolon ) ney kaha humara perwerdigar janta hai kay be-shak hum tumharay pass bhejen gaye hain.
उन्होंने कहा, "हमारा रब जानता है कि हम निश्चय ही तुम्हारी ओर भेजे गए हैं
And we are not responsible except for clear notification."
Aur humaray zimmay to sirf wazeh tor per phoncha dena hai.
और हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी तो केवल स्पष्ट रूप से संदेश पहुँचा देने की है।"
They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."
Unhon ney kaha kay hum to tum ko manhoos samajhtay hain. Agar tum baaz na aaye to hum pathron say tumhara kaam tamam ker den gay aur tum ko humari taraf say sakht takleef phonchay gi.
वे बोले, "हम तो तुम्हें अपशकुन समझते हैं, यदि तुम बाज न आए तो हम तुम्हें पथराव करके मार डालेंगे और तुम्हें अवश्य हमारी ओर से दुखद यातना पहुँचेगी।"
They said, "Your omen is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."
Unn rasoolon ney kaha tumhari nahoosat tumharay sath hi lagi hui hai kiya iss ko nahoosat samajhtay ho kay tum ko naseehat ki jaye bulkay tum hadd say nikal janey walay log ho.
उन्होंने कहा, "तुम्हारा अवशकुन तो तुम्हारे अपने ही साथ है। क्या यदि तुम्हें याददिहानी कराई जाए (तो यह कोई क्रुद्ध होने की बात है)? नहीं, बल्कि तुम मर्यादाहीन लोग हो।"
And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.
Aur aik shaks ( uss ) shehar kay aakhri hissay say dorta hua aaya kehney laga kay aey meri qom! Inn rasoolon ki raah per chalo.
इतने में नगर के दूरवर्ती सिरे से एक व्यक्ति दौड़ता हुआ आया। उस ने कहा, "ऐ मेरी क़ौम के लोगो! उन का अनुवर्तन करो, जो भेजे गए हैं।
Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.
Aisay logon ki raah per chalo jo tum say koi mawaza nahi mangtay aur woh raah-e-raast per hain.
उस का अनुवर्तन करो जो तुम से कोई बदला नहीं माँगते और वे सीधे मार्ग पर हैं
And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?
Aur mujhay kiya hogaya hai kay mein uss ki ibadat na keroo jiss ney mujhay peda kiya aur tum sab ussi ki taraf lotaye jao gay.
"और मुझे क्या हुआ है कि मैं उस की बन्दगी न करूँ, जिस ने मुझे पैदा किया और उसी की ओर तुम्हें लौटकर जाना है?
Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?
Kiya mein ussay chor ker aison ko mabood banaoon kay agar ( Allah ) rehman mujhay koi nuksan phonchana chahaye to unn ki sifarish mujhay kuch bhi nafa na phoncha sakay aur na woh mujhay bacha saken.
"क्या मैं उस से इतर दूसरे उपास्य बना लूँ? यदि रहमान मुझे कोई तकलीफ़ पहुँचाना चाहे तो उन की सिफ़ारिश मेरे कुछ काम नहीं आ सकती और न वे मुझे छुडा ही सकते हैं
Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.
Phir to mein yaqeenan khilli gumrahee mein hun.
"तब तो मैं अवश्य स्पष्ट गुमराही में पड़ जाऊँगा
Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."
Meri suno! Mein to ( sachay dil say ) tum sab kay rab per eman laa chuka.
"मैं तो तुम्हारे रब पर ईमान ले आया, अतः मेरी सुनो!"
It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know
( uss say ) kaha gaya kay jannat mein chala jaa kehney laga kaash! Meri qom ko bhi ilm hojata.
कहा गया, "प्रवेश करो जन्नत में!" उस ने कहा, "ऐ काश! मेरी क़ौम के लोग जानते
Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
Kay mujhay meray rab ney bakhsh diya aur mujhay ba-izzat logon mein sy ker diya.
कि मेरे रब ने मुझे क्षमा कर दिया और मुझे प्रतिष्ठित लोगों में सम्मिलित कर दिया।"
And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.
Iss kay baad hum ney uss qom per aasman say koi lashkar na utara aur na iss tarah hum utara kertay hain.
उस के पश्चात उस की क़ौम पर हम ने आकाश से कोई सेना नहीं उतारी और हम इस तरह उतारा नहीं करते
It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.
Woh to sirf aik zor ki cheekh thi kay yakayak woh sab kay sab bujh bujha gaye.
वह तो केवल एक प्रचंड चीत्कार थी। तो सहसा क्या देखते हैं कि वे बुझकर रह गए
How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.
( aisay ) bando per afsos! Kabhi bhi koi rasool unn kay pass nahi aaya jiss ki hansi unhon ney na uraee ho.
ऐ अफ़सोस बन्दो पर! जो रसूल भी उन के पास आया, वे उस का परिहास ही करते रहे
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
Kiya unhon ney nahi dekha kay inn kay pehlay boht si qomon ko hum ney gharat ker diya kay woh unn ki taraf lot ker nahi aayen gay.
क्या उन्होंने नहीं देखा कि उन से पहले कितनी ही नस्लों को हम ने विनष्ट किया कि वे उन की ओर पलटकर नहीं आएँगे?
And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
Aur nahi hai koi jamaat magar yeh kay woh jama hoker humaray samney hazir ki jayegi.
और जितने भी हैं, सबके सब हमारे ही सामने उपस्थित किए जाएँगे
And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.
Aur inn kay liye aik nishani ( khusk ) zamin hai jiss ko hum ney zindah ker diya aur iss say ghalla nikala jiss mein say woh kahatay hain.
और एक निशानी उन के लिए मृत भूमि है। हम ने उसे जीवित किया और उस से अनाज निकाला, तो वे खाते हैं
And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -
Aur hum ney iss mein khajooron kay aur angooron kay baghaat peda kerdiye aur jin mein hum ney chashmay bhi jari ker diye hain.
और हम ने उस में खजूरों और अंगूरों के बाग लगाए और उस में स्रोत प्रवाहित किए;
That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?
Takay ( log ) uss kay phal khayen aur iss ki inn kay hathon ney nahi banaya. Phir kiyon shukar guzari nahi kertay.
ताकि वे उस के फल खाएँ - हालाँकि यह सब कुछ उन के हाथों का बनाया हुआ नहीं है। - तो क्या वे आभार नहीं प्रकट करते?
Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.
Woh pak zaat hai jiss ney her cheez kay joray peda kiye khua woh zamin ki ugaee hui cheezen hon khua khud unkay nafoos hon khua woh ( cheezen ) hon jinhen yeh jantay bhi nahi.
महिमावान है वह जिस ने सबके जोड़े पैदा किए धरती जो चीजें उगाती है उन में से भी और स्वयं उन की अपनी जाति में से भी और उन चीज़ो में से भी जिन को वे नहीं जानते
And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.
Aur inn kay liye aik nishani raat hai jiss say hum din ko kheench latay detay hain to yakayak andheray mein reh jatay hain.
और एक निशानी उन के लिए रात है। हम उस पर से दिन को खींच लेते हैं। फिर क्या देखते हैं कि वे अँधेरे में रह गए
And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
Aur sooraj kay liye jo muqarrara raah hai woh ussi per chalta hai yeh hai muqarrar kerdah ghalib ba-ilm Allah Taalaa ka.
और सूर्य अपने नियत ठिकाने के लिए चला जा रहा है। यह बाँधा हुआ हिसाब है प्रभुत्वशाली, ज्ञानवान का
And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
Aur chand ki hum ney manzilen muqarrar ker rahkhi hain yahan tak kay woh lot ker purani tehni ki tarah hojata hai.
और रहा चन्द्रमा, तो उस की नियति हम ने मंज़िलों के क्रम में रखी, यहाँ तक कि वह फिर खजूर की पूरानी टेढ़ी टहनी के सदृश हो जाता है
It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.
Na aftab ki yeh majal hai kay chand ko pakray aur na raat din per aagay barh janey wali hai aur sab kay sab aasman mein tertay phirtay hain.
न सूर्य ही से हो सकता है कि चाँद को जा पकड़े और न रात दिन से आगे बढ़ सकती है। सब एक-एक कक्षा में तैर रहे हैं
And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.
Aur inn kay liye aik nishani ( yeh bhi ) hai kay hum ney inn ki nasal ko bhari hui kashti mein sawar kiya.
और एक निशानी उन के लिए यह है कि हम ने उन के अनुवर्तियों को भरी हुई नौका में सवार किया
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
Aur inn kay liye issi jaisi aur cheezen peda ken jin per yeh sawar hotay hain.
और उन के लिए उसी के सदृश और भी ऐसी चीज़े पैदा की, जिन पर वे सवार होते हैं
And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved
Aur agar hum chahatay to enhen dobo detay. Phir na to koi unn ka faryad rass hota na woh bachaye jayen.
और यदि हम चाहें तो उन्हें डूबो दें। फिर न तो उन की कोई चीख-पुकार हो और न उन्हें बचाया जा सके
Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.
Lekin hum apni taraf say rehmat kertay hain aur aik muddat tak kay liye unhen faeeday day rahey hain.
यह तो बस हमारी दयालुता और एक नियत समय तक की सुख-सामग्री है
But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "
Aur inn say jab ( kabhi ) kaha jata hai kay aglay pichlay ( gunahon ) say bacho takay tum per reham kiya jaye.
और जब उन से कहा जाता है कि उस चीज़ का डर रखो, जो तुम्हारे आगे है और जो तुम्हारे पीछे है, ताकि तुम पर दया कि जाए! (तो चुप्पी साझ लेते हैं)
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
Aur inn kay pass to inn kay rab ki nishaniyon mein say koi nishani aisi nahi aati jiss say yeh bey rukhi na barattay hon.
उन के पास उन के रब की आयतों में से जो आयत भी आती है, वे उस से कतराते ही हैं
And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."
Aur inn say jab kaha jata hai kay Allah Taalaa kay diye huyey mein say kuch kharach kero to yeh kuffar eman walon ko jawab detay hain kay hum enhen kiyon khilayen? Jinhen agar Allah Taalaa chahata to khud khila pila deta tum to ho hi khulli gumrahi mein.
और जब उन से कहा जाता है कि "अल्लाह ने जो कुछ रोज़ी तुम्हें दी है उन में से ख़र्च करो।" तो जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया है, वे उन लोगों से, जो ईमान लाए हैं, कहते हैं, "क्या हम उसको खाना खिलाएँ जिसे यदि अल्लाह चाहता तो स्वयं खिला देता? तुम तो बस खुली गुमराही में पड़े हो।"
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
Woh kehtay hain kay yeh wada kab hoga sachay ho to batlao.
और वे कहते हैं कि "यह वादा कब पूरा होगा, यदि तुम सच्चे हो?"
They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.
Enhen sirf aik sakht cheekh ka intezar hai jo enhen aa pakray gi aur yeh bahum laraee jhagray mein hi hongay
वे तो बस एक प्रचंड चीत्कार की प्रतीक्षा में हैं, जो उन्हें आ पकड़ेगी, जबकि वे झगड़ते होंगे
