In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
[This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah
Yeh hai teray perwerdigar ki uss meharbani ka zikar jo uss ney apney banday zakriya per ki thi.
वर्णन है तेरे रब की दयालुता का, जो उस ने अपने बन्दे ज़करीया पर दर्शाई,
When he called to his Lord a private supplication.
Jabkay uss ney apney rab say chupkay chupkay dua ki thi.
जबकि उस ने अपने रब को चुपके से पुकारा
He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy.
Kay aey meray perwerdigar! Meri hadiyan kamzor hogaee hain aur sir burhapay ki waja say bharak utha hai lekin mein tujh say dua kerkay kabhi bhi mehroom nahi raha.
उस ने कहा, "मेरे रब! मेरी हड्डियाँ कमज़ोर हो गई और सिर बुढापे से भड़क उठा। और मेरे रब! तुझे पुकारकर मैं कभी बेनसीब नहीं रहा
And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir
Mujhay apney marney kay baad apney qarabat daron ka darr hai meri biwi bhi baanjh hai pus tu mujhay apney pass say waris ata farma.
मुझे अपने पीछे अपने भाई-बन्धुओं की ओर से भय है और मेरी पत्नी बाँझ है। अतः तू मुझे अपने पास से एक उत्ताराधिकारी प्रदान कर,
Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]."
Jo mera bhi waris ho aur yaqoob ( alh-e-salam ) kay khandan ka bhi ja-nasheen aur meray rab! Tu ussay maqbool banda bana ley.
जो मेरा भी उत्तराधिकारी हो और याक़ूब के वंशज का भी उत्तराधिकारी हो। और उसे मेरे रब! वांछनीय बना।"
[He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not assigned to any before [this] name."
Aey zakriya! Hum tujhay aik bachay ki khushkhabri detay hain jiss kay naam yahya hai hum ney iss say pehlay iss ka hum naam bhi kissi ko nahi kiya.
(उत्तर मिला,) "ऐ ज़करीया! हम तुझे एक लड़के की शुभ सूचना देते हैं, जिस का नाम यह्या होगा। हम ने उस से पहले किसी को उस के जैसा नहीं बनाया।"
He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when my wife has been barren and I have reached extreme old age?"
Zakriya ( alh-e-salam ) kehney lagay aey meray rab! Meray haan larka kaisay hoga jabkay meri biwi baanjh aur mein khud burhapay kay intehaee zoaf ko phonch chuka hun.
उस ने कहा, "मेरे रब! मेरे कहाँ से लड़का होगा, जबकि मेरी पत्नी बाँझ है और मैं बुढ़ापे की अन्तिम अवस्था को पहुँच चुका हूँ?"
[An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before, while you were nothing.' "
Irshad hua kay wada issi tarah ho chuka teray rab ney farma diya hai kay mujh per to yeh bilkul aasan hai aur tu khud jabkay kuch na tha mein tujhay peda ker chuka hun.
कहा, "ऐसा ही होगा। तेरे रब ने कहा कि यह मेरे लिए सरल है। इस से पहले मैं तुझे पैदा कर चुका हूँ, जबकि तू कुछ भी न था।"
[Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound."
Kehney lagay meray perwerdigar meray liye koi alamat muqarrar farma dey irshad hua kay teray liye alamat yeh hai kay bawajood bhala changa honey kay tu teen raaton tak kissi shaks say bol na sakay ga.
उस ने कहा, "मेरे रब! मेरे लिए कोई निशानी निश्चित कर दे।" कहा, "तेरी निशानी यह है कि तू भला-चंगा रहकर भी तीन रात (और दिन) लोगों से बात न करे।"
So he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to exalt [ Allah ] in the morning and afternoon.
Abb zakriya ( alh-e-salam ) apney hujray say nikal ker apni qom kay pass aaker unhen ishara kertay hain kay tum subha-o-shaam Allah Taalaa ki tasbeeh biyan kero.
अतः वह मेहराब से निकलकर अपने लोगों के पास आया और उन से संकेतों में कहा, "प्रातः काल और सन्ध्या समय तसबीह करते रहो।"
[ Allah ] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave him judgement [while yet] a boy
“Aey yahya! Meri kitab ko mazbooti say thaam ley” aur hum ney ussay larakpan hi say danaee ata farma di.
"ऐ यह्याऔ! किताब को मज़बूत थाम ले।" हम ने उसे बचपन ही में निर्णय-शक्ति प्रदान की,
And affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah
Aur apney pass say shafqat aur pakeezgi bhi woh perhezgar shaks tha.
और अपने पास से नरमी और शौक़ और आत्मविश्वास। और वह बड़ा डरने वाला था
And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant.
Aur apney maa baap say nek salook kerney wala tha woh sirkash aur gunehgar na tha.
और अपने माँ-बाप का हक़ पहचाने वाला था। और वह सरकश अवज्ञाकारी न था
And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive.
Uss per salam hai jiss din woh peda hua aur jiss din woh maray aur jiss din woh zinda kerkay uthaya jaye.
"सलाम उस पर, जिस दिन वह पैदा हुआ और जिस दिन उस की मृत्यु हो और जिस दिन वह जीवित करके उठाया जाए!"
And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east.
Iss kitab mein marium ka bhi waqiya biyan ker. Jabkay woh apney ghar kay logon say alehda hoker mashriqi janib aaeen.
और इस किताब में मरयम की चर्चा करो, जबकि वह अपने घर वालों से अलग होकर एक पूर्वी स्थान पर चली गई
And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man.
Aur unn logon ki taraf say parda ker liya phir hum ney uss kay pass apni rooh ( jibraeel alh-e-salam ) ko bheja pus woh uss kay samney poora aadmi bann ker zahir hua.
फिर उस ने उन से परदा कर लिया। तब हम ने उस के पास अपनी रूह (फ़रिश्तेप) को भेजा और वह उस के सामने एक पूर्ण मनुष्य के रूप में प्रकट हुआ
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah ."
Yeh kehney lagin mein tujh say rehman ki panah maangti hun agar tu kuch bhi Allah say darney wala hai.
वह बोल उठी, "मैं तुझ से बचने के लिए रहमान की पनाह माँगती हूँ; यदि तू (अल्लाह का) डर रखने वाला है (तो यहाँ से हट जाएगा) ।"
He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy."
Uss ney jawab diya kay mein to Allah ka bheja hua qasid hun tujhay aik pakeeza larka denay aaya hun.
उस ने कहा, "मैं तो केवल तेरे रब का भेजा हुआ हूँ, ताकि तुझे नेकी और भलाई से बढ़ा हुआ लड़का दूँ।"
She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?"
Kehney lagin bhala meray haan bacha kaisay ho sakta hai? Mujhay to kissi insan ka hath tak nahi laga aur na mein badkaar hun.
वह बोली, "मेरे कहाँ से लड़का होगा, जबकि मुझे किसी आदमी ने छुआ तक नही और न मैं कोई बदचलन हूँ?"
He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' "
Uss ney kaha baat to yehi hai lekin teray perwerdigar ka irshad hai kay woh mujh per boht hi aasan hai hum to ussay logon kay liye aik nishani bana den gay aur apni khaas rehmat yeh to aik tey shuda baat hai.
उस ने कहा, "ऐसा ही होगा। रब ने कहा है कि यह मेरे लिए सहज है। और ऐसा इसलिए होगा (ताकि हम तुझे) और ताकि हम उसे लोगों के लिए एक निशानी बनाएँ और अपनी ओर से एक दयालुता। यह तो ऐसी बात है जिस का निर्णय हो चुका है।"
So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place.
Pus woh hamal say hogaeen aur issi waja say woh yaksoo hoker aik door ki jaga chali gaeen.
फिर उसे उस (बच्चे) का गर्भ रह गया और वह उसे लिए हुए एक दूर के स्थान पर अलग चली गई।
And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."
Phir dard-e-zeh ussay aik khajoor kay tanay kay neechay ley aaya boli kaash! Mein iss say pehlay hi marr gaee hoti aur logon ki yaad say bhi bhooli bisri hojati.
अन्ततः प्रसव पीड़ा उसे एक खजूर के तने के पास ले आई। वह कहने लगी, "क्या ही अच्छा होता कि मैं इस से पहले ही मर जाती और भूली-बिसरी हो गई होती!"
But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.
Itney mein ussay neechay say hi awaz di kay aazardah khatir na ho teray rab ney teray paon talay aik chashma jari ker diya hai.
उस समय उसे उस के नीचे से पुकारा, "शोकाकुल न हो। तेरे रब ने तेरे नीचे एक स्रोत प्रवाहित कर रखा है।
And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
Aur iss khajoor kay tanay ko apni taraf hila yeh teray samney tar-o-taza pakki khajooren gira dey ga.
तू खजूर के उस वृक्ष के तने को पकड़कर अपनी ओर हिला। तेरे ऊपर ताज़ा पकी-पकी खजूरें टपक पड़ेगी
So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' "
Abb chain say kha pi aur aankhen thandi rakh agar tujhay koi insan nazar parr jaye to keh dena kay mein ney Allah rehman kay naam ka roza maan rakha hai. Mein aaj kissi shaks say baat na keroon gi.
अतः तू उसे खा और पी और आँखें ठंडी कर। फिर यदि तू किसी आदमी को देखे तो कह देना, मैंने तो रहमान के लिए रोज़े की मन्नत मानी है। इसलिए मैं आज किसी मनुष्य से न बोलूँगी।"
Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.
Abb hazrat essa ( alh-e-salam ) ko liye huye woh apni qom kay pass aaeen. Sab kehney lagay marium tu ney bari buri harkat ki.
फिर वह उस बच्चे को लिए हुए अपनी क़ौम के लोगों के पास आई। वे बोले, "ऐ मरयम, तूने तो बड़ा ही आश्चर्य का काम कर डाला!
O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."
Aey haroon ki behan! Na to tera baap bura aadmi tha aur na teri maa badkaar thi.
हे हारून की बहन! न तो तेरा बाप ही कोई बुरा आदमी था और न तेरी माँ ही बदचलन थी।"
So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?"
Marium ney apney bachay ki taraf ishara kiya. Sab kehnay lagay kay lo bhala hum goad kay bachay say baat kaisay keren?
तब उस ने उस (बच्चे) की ओर संकेत किया। वे कहने लगे, "हम उस से कैसे बात करें जो पालने में पड़ा हुआ एक बच्चा है?"
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
Bcha bol utha kay mein Allah Taalaa ka banda hun. Uss ney mujhay kitab ata farmaee aur mujhay apna payghumber banaya hai.
उस ने कहा, "मैं अल्लाह का बन्दा हूँ। उस ने मुझे किताब दी और मुझे नबी बनाया
And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive
Aur uss ney mujhay ba-barkat kiya hai jahan bhi mein hun uss ney mujhay namaz aur zakat ka hukum diya hai jab tak bhi mein zinda rahoon.
और मुझे बरकत वाला किया जहाँ भी मैं रहूँ, और मुझे नमाज़ और ज़कात की ताकीद की, जब तक कि मैं जीवित रहूँ
And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.
Aur uss ney mujhay apni walida ka khidmat guzaar banaya hai aur mujhay sirkash aur bad-bakht nahi kiya.
और अपनी माँ का हक़ अदा करने वाला बनाया। और उस ने मुझे सरकश और बेनसीब नहीं बनाया
And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."
Aur mujh per meri pedaeesh kay din aur meri maut kay din aur jiss din kay mein doobara zinda khara kiya jaon ga salam hi salam hai.
सलाम है मुझ पर जिस दिन कि मैं पैदा हुआ और जिस दिन कि मैं मरूँ और जिस दिन कि जीवित करके उठाया जाऊँ!"
That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute.
Yeh hai sahih waiya essa bin marium ( alh-e-salam ) ka yehi hai woh haq baat jiss mein log shak-o-shuba mein mubtila hain.
सच्ची और पक्की बात की स्पष्ट से यह है कि मरयम का बेटा ईसा, जिस के विषय में वे सन्देह में पड़े हुए हैं
It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.
Allah Taalaa kay liye aulad ka hona laeeq nahi woh to bilkul pak zaat hai woh to jab kissi kaam kay sir anjam denay ka irada kerta hai to ussay keh deta hai kay hoja woh ussi waqt ho jata hai.
अल्लाह ऐसा नहीं कि वह किसी को अपना बेटा बनाए। महान और उच्च है, वह! जब वह किसी चीज़ का फ़ैसला करता है तो बस उसे कह देता है, "हो जा!" तो वह हो जाती है। -
[Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path."
Mera aur tum sab ka perwerdigar Allah Taalaa hi hai. Tum sab ussi ki ibadat kero yehi seedhi raah hai.
"और निस्संदेह अल्लाह मेरा रब भी है और तुम्हारा रब भी। अतः तुम उसी की बन्दगी करो यही सीधा मार्ग है।"
Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day.
Phir yeh firqay aapas mein ikhtilaf kerney lagay pus kafiron kay liye “wail” hai aik baray ( sakht ) din ki hazri hai.
किन्तु उन में कितने ही गिरोहों ने पारस्परिक वैमनस्य के कारण विभेद किया, तो जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया उन के लिए बड़ी तबाही है एक बड़े दिन की उपस्थिति से
How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error.
Kiya khoob dekhney sunnay walay hongay uss din jabkay humaray samney hazir hongay lekin aaj to yeh zalim log sareeh gumrahi mein paray huye hain.
भली-भाँति सुनने वाले और भली-भाँति देखने वाले होंगे, जिस दिन वे हमारे सामने आएँगे! किन्तु आज ये ज़ालिम खुली गुमराही में पड़े हुए हैं
And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.
To unhen uss ranj-o-afsos kay din ka darr suna dey jabkay kaam anjam ko phoncha diya jayega aur yeh log ghaflat aur bey emani mein hi reh jayengay.
उन्हें पश्चाताप के दिन से डराओ, जबकि मामले का फ़ैसला कर दिया जाएगा, और उन का हाल यह है कि वे ग़फ़लत में पड़े हुए हैं और वे ईमान नहीं ला रहे हैं
Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned.
Khud zamin kay aur tamam zamin walon kay waris hum hi hongay aur sab log humari hi taraf lota ker layen jayen gay.
धरती और जो भी उस के ऊपर है उस के वारिस हम ही रह जाएँगे और हमारी ही ओर उन्हें लौटना होगा
And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.
Iss kitab mein ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) ka qissa biyan ker be-shak woh baray sachaee walay payghumber thay.
और इस किताब में इबराहीम की चर्चा करो। निस्संदेह वह एक सत्यवान नबी था
[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?
Jabkay unhon ney apney baap say kaha kay abba jaan! Aap inn ki pooja paat kiyon ker rahey hain jo na sunen na dekhen? Na aap ko kuch bhi faeeda phoncha saken.
जबकि उस ने अपने बाप से कहा, "ऐ मेरे बाप! आप उस चीज़ को क्यों पूजते हो, जो न सुने और न देखे और न आप के कुछ काम आए?
O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path.
Meray meharban maa baap! Aap dekhiye meray pass woh ilm aaya hai jo aap kay pass aaya hi nahi to aap meri hi manen mein bilkul seedhi raah ki taraf aap ki rehbari keroon ga.
ऐ मेरे बाप! मेरे पास ज्ञान आ गया है जो आप के पास नहीं आया। अतः आप मेरा अनुसरण करें, मैं आप को सीधा मार्ग दिखाऊँगा
O my father, do not worship Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient.
Meray abba jaan aap shetan ki parastish say baaz aajayen shetan to reham-o-karam walay Allah Taalaa ka bara hi na-farman hai.
ऐ मेरे बाप! शैतान की बन्दगी न कीजिए। शैतान तो रहमान का अवज्ञाकारी है
O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]."
Abba jaan! Mujhay khof laga hua hai kay kahin aap per koi azab-e-elahee na aa paray kay aap shetan kay sathi bann jayen.
ऐ मेरे बाप! मैं डरता हूँ कि कहीं आप को रहमान की कोई यातना न आ पकड़े और आप शैतान के साथी होकर रह जाएँ।"
[His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time."
Uss ney jawab diya kay aey ibrahim! Kiya tu humaray maboodon say roo gardani ker raha hai. Sunn agar tu baaz na aaya to mein tujhay pathron say maar dalon ga jaa aik muddat daraz tak mujh say alag reh.
उस ने कहा, "ऐ इबराहीम! क्या तू मेरे उपास्यों से फिर गया है? यदि तू बाज़ न आया तो मैं तुझ पर पथराव कर दूँगा। तू अलग हो जा मुझ से मुद्दत के लिए!"
[Abraham] said, "Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me.
Kaha acha tum per salam ho mein to apney perwerdigar say tumhari bakhsish ki dua kerta rahon ga woh mujh per hadd darja meharban hai.
कहा, "सलाम है आपको! मैं आपके लिए रब से क्षमा की प्रार्थना करूँगा। वह तो मुझ पर बहुत मेहरबान है
And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allah and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy."
Mein to tumhen bhi aur jin jin ko tum Allah Taalaa kay siwa pukartay ho unhen bhi sab ko chor raha hun. Sirf apney perwerdigar ko pukarta rahoon ga mujhay yaqeen hai kay mein apney perwerdigar say dua maang ker mehroom na rahoon ga.
मैं आप लोगों को छोड़ता हूँ और उन को भी जिन्हें अल्लाह से हटकर आप लोग पुकारा करते हैं। मैं तो अपने रब को पुकारूँगा। आशा है कि मैं अपने रब को पुकारकर बेनसीब नहीं रहूँगा।"
So when he had left them and those they worshipped other than Allah , We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet.
Jab ibrahim ( alh-e-salam ) unn sab ko aur Allah kay siwa unn kay sab maboodon ko chor chukay to hum ney unhen ishaq ( alh-e-salam ) –o- yaqoob ( alh-e-salam ) ata farmaye aur dono ko nabi bana diya.
फिर जब वह उन लोगों से और जिन्हें वे अल्लाह के सिवा पूजते थे उन से अलग हो गया, तो हम ने उसे इसहाक़ और याक़ूब प्रदान किए और हर एक को हम ने नबी बनाया
