الفاظ ( ذٰلِكَ )

لوگو! اللہ تعالٰی نے تمہیں مٹی سے پھر نطفہ سے پیدا کیا ہے پھر تمہیں جوڑے جوڑے ( مرد و عورت ) بنا دیا ہے ، عورتوں کا حاملہ ہونا اور بچوں کا تولد ہونا سب اس کے علم سے ہی ہے اور جو بھی بڑی عمر والا عمر دیا جائے اور جس کسی کی عمر گھٹے وہ سب کتاب میں لکھا ہوا ہے اللہ تعالٰی پر یہ بات بالکل آسان ہے ۔

And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.

اور یہ بات اللہ کو کچھ مشکل نہیں ۔

And that is for Allah not difficult.

پھر ہم نے ان لوگوں کو ( اس ) کتاب کا وارث بنایا جن کو ہم نے اپنے بندوں میں سے پسند فرمایا ۔ پھر بعضے تو ان میں اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کرنے والے ہیں اور بعضے ان میں متوسط درجے کے ہیں اور بعضے ان میں اللہ کی توفیق سے نیکیوں میں ترقی کئے چلے جاتے ہیں یہ بڑا فضل ہے ۔

Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah . That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty.

اور سورج کے لئے جو مقررہ راہ ہے وہ اسی پر چلتا رہتا ہے یہ ہے مقرر کردہ غالب باعلم اللہ تعالٰی کا ۔

And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

پس ہم نے بھی ان کا وہ ( قصور ) معاف کر دیا یقیناً وہ ہمارے نزدیک بڑے مرتبہ والے اور بہت اچھے ٹھکانے والے ہیں ۔

So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return.

اور ہم نے آسمان و زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی چیزوں کو ناحق پیدا نہیں کیا یہ گمان تو کافروں کا ہے سو کافروں کے لئے خرابی ہے آگ کی ۔

And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire.

یقین جانو کہ دوزخیوں کا یہ جھگڑا ضرور ہی ہوگا ۔

Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire.

تم اس کے سوا جس کی چاہو عبادت کرتے رہو کہہ دیجئے! کہ حقیقی زیاں کار وہ ہیں جو اپنے آپ کو اور اپنے اہل کو قیامت کے دن نقصان میں ڈال دیں گے ، یاد رکھو کہ کھلم کھلا نقصان یہی ہے ۔

So worship what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the manifest loss."

انہیں نیچے اوپر سے آگ کے ( شعلے مثل ) سائبان ( کے ) ڈھانک رہے ہونگے یہی ( عذاب ) ہے جن سے اللہ تعالٰی اپنے بندوں کو ڈرا رہا ہے اے میرے بندو! پس مجھ سے ڈرتے رہو ۔

They will have canopies of fire above them and below them, canopies. By that Allah threatens His servants. O My servants, then fear Me.

کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی آسمان سے پانی اتارتا ہے اور اسے زمین کی سوتوں میں پہنچاتا ہے پھر اسی کے ذریعہ سے مختلف قسم کی کھیتیاں اگاتا ہے پھر وہ خشک ہو جاتی ہیں اور آپ انہیں زرد رنگ میں دیکھتے ہیں پھر انہیں ریزہ ریزہ کر دیتا ہے اس میں عقلمندوں کیلئے بہت زیادہ نصیحت ہے ۔

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding.

اللہ تعالٰی نے بہترین کلام نازل فرمایا ہے جو ایسی کتاب ہے کہ آپس میں ملتی جلتی اور بار بار دہرائی ہوئی آیتوں کی ہے جس سے ان لوگوں کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں جو اپنے رب کا خوف رکھتے ہیں آخر میں ان کے جسم اور دل اللہ تعالٰی کے ذکر کی طرف نرم ہو جاتے ہیں یہ ہے اللہ تعالٰی کہ ہدایت جس کے ذریعہ جسے چاہے راہ راست پر لگا دیتا ہے اور جسے اللہ تعالٰی ہی راہ بھلا دے اس کا ہادی کوئی نہیں ۔

Allah has sent down the best statement: a consistent Book wherein is reiteration. The skins shiver therefrom of those who fear their Lord; then their skins and their hearts relax at the remembrance of Allah . That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whom He wills. And one whom Allah leaves astray - for him there is no guide.

ان کے لئیے ان کے رب کے پاس ( ہر ) وہ چیز ہے جو یہ چاہیں نیک لوگوں کا یہی بدلہ ہے ۔

They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good -

اللہ ہی روحوں کو ان کی موت کے وقت اور جن کی موت نہیں آئی انہیں ان کی نیند کے وقت قبض کر لیتا ہے ، پھر جن پر موت کا حکم لگ چکا ہے انہیں تو روک لیتا ہے اور دوسری ( روحوں ) کو ایک مقرر وقت تک کے لئیے چھوڑ دیتا ہے ۔ غور کرنے والوں کے لئیے اس میں یقیناً بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

کیا انہیں یہ معلوم نہیں کہ اللہ تعالٰی جس کے لئے چاہے روزی کشادہ کر دیتا ہے اور تنگ ( بھی ) ایمان لانے والوں کے لیئے اس میں ( بڑی بڑی ) نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Do they not know that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

یہ اس وجہ سے کہ ان کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر معجزے لے لے کر آتے تھے تو وہ انکار کر دیتے تھے پس اللہ انہیں پکڑ لیتا تھا ۔ یقیناً وہ طاقتور اور سخت عذاب والا ہے ۔

That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allah seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment.

آپ کہہ دیجئے! کہ تم اس ( اللہ ) کا انکار کرتے ہو اور تم اس کے شریک مقرر کرتے ہو جس نے دو دن میں زمین پیدا کر دی سارے جہانوں کا پروردگار وہی ہے ۔

Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds."

پس دو دن میں سات آسمان بنا دیئے اور ہر آسمان میں اس کے مناسب احکام کی وحی بھیج دی اور ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو چراغوں سے زینت دی اور نگہبانی کی یہ تدبیر اللہ غا لب و دانا کی ہے ۔

And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

اللہ کے دشمنوں کی سزا یہی دوزخ کی آگ ہے جس میں ان کا ہمیشگی کا گھر ہے ( یہ ) بدلہ ہے ہماری آیتوں سے انکار کرنے کا ۔

That is the recompense of the enemies of Allah - the Fire. For them therein is the home of eternity as recompense for what they, of Our verses, were rejecting.

آپ دیکھیں گے کہ یہ ظالم اپنے اعمال سے ڈر رہے ہونگے جن کے وبال ان پر واقع ہونے والے ہیں اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک اعمال کئے وہ بہشتوں کے باغات میں ہوں گے وہ جو خواہش کریں اپنے رب کے پاس موجود پائیں گے یہی ہے بڑا فضل ۔

You will see the wrongdoers fearful of what they have earned, and it will [certainly] befall them. And those who have believed and done righteous deeds will be in lush regions of the gardens [in Paradise] having whatever they will in the presence of their Lord. That is what is the great bounty.

یہی وہ ہے جس کی بشارت اللہ تعالٰی اپنے ان بندوں کو دے رہا ہے جو ایمان لائے اور ( سنت کے مطابق ) نیک عمل کئے تو کہہ دیجئے! کہ میں اس پر تم سے کوئی بدلہ نہیں چاہتا مگر محبت رشتہ داری کی جو شخص کوئی نیکی کرے ہم اس کے لئے اس کی نیکی میں اور نیکی بڑھا دیں گے بیشک اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے والا ( اور ) بہت قدردان ہے ۔

It is that of which Allah gives good tidings to His servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for this message any payment [but] only good will through kinship." And whoever commits a good deed - We will increase for him good therein. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Appreciative.

اگر وہ چاہے تو ہوا بند کر دے اور یہ کشتیاں سمندروں پر رکی رہ جائیں ۔ یقیناً اس میں ہر صبر کرنے والے شکر گزار کے لئے نشانیاں ہیں ۔

If He willed, He could still the wind, and they would remain motionless on its surface. Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful.

اور جو شخص صبر کرلے اور معاف کر دے یقیناً یہ بڑی ہمت کے کاموں میں سے ( ایک کام ) ہے ۔

And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [requiring] determination.

اور سونے کے بھی اور یہ سب کچھ یونہی سا دنیا کی زندگی کا فائدہ ہے اور آخرت تو آپ کے رب کے نزدیک ( صرف ) پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ( ہی ) ہے ۔

And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous.

یہ صرف تیرے رب کا فضل ہے یہی ہے بڑی کامیابی ۔

As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment.

اور آسمان و زمین کی ہر ہرچیز کو بھی اس نے اپنی طرف سے تمہارے لئے تابع کر دیا ہے جو غور کریں یقیناً وہ اس میں بہت سی نشانیاں پا لیں گے ۔

And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

پس لیکن جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے نیک کام کئے تو ان کو ان کا رب اپنی رحمت تلے لے لے گا یہی صریح کامیابی ہے ۔

So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment.

یہ اس لئے کہ کافروں نے باطل کی پیروی کی اور مومنوں نے اس دین حق کی اتباع کی جو ان کے اللہ کی طرف سے ہے اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں کو ان کے احوال اسی طرح بتاتا ہے ۔

That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons.

یہ اس لئے کہ وہ اللہ کی نازل کردہ چیز سے ناخوش ہوئے پس اللہ تعالٰی نے ( بھی ) ان کے اعمال ضائع کر دیئے ۔

That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds.

وہ اس لئے کہ ایمان والوں کا کارساز خود اللہ تعالٰی ہے اور اس لئے کہ کافروں کا کوئی کارساز نہیں ۔

That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector.

یہ اس لئے کہ انہوں نے ان لوگوں سے جنہوں نے اللہ کی نازل کردہ وحی کو برا سمجھا یہ کہا کہ ہم بھی عنقریب بعض کاموں میں تمہارا کہا مانیں گے ، اور اللہ ان کی پوشیدہ باتیں خوب جانتا ہے ۔

That is because they said to those who disliked what Allah sent down, "We will obey you in part of the matter." And Allah knows what they conceal.

یہ اس بنا پر کہ یہ وہ راہ چلے جس سے انہوں نے اللہ کو ناراض کر دیا اور انہوں نے اس کی رضامندی کو برا جانا ، تو اللہ نے ان کے اعمال اکارت کر دیئے ۔

That is because they followed what angered Allah and disliked [what earns] His pleasure, so He rendered worthless their deeds.

تاکہ مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کو ان جنتوں میں لے جائے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہ رہی ہیں جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے اور ان سے ان کے گناہ دور کردے ، اور اللہ کے نزدیک یہ بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے ۔

[And] that He may admit the believing men and the believing women to gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein eternally and remove from them their misdeeds - and ever is that, in the sight of Allah , a great attainment -

۔ ( نہیں ) بلکہ تم نے یہ گمان کر رکھا تھا کہ پیغمبر اور مسلمانوں کا اپنے گھروں کی طرف لوٹ آنا قطعًا ناممکن ہے اور یہی خیال تمہارے دلوں میں رچ گیا تھا اور تم نے برا گمان کر رکھا تھا دراصل تم لوگ ہو بھی ہلاک ہونے والے ۔

But you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families, ever, and that was made pleasing in your hearts. And you assumed an assumption of evil and became a people ruined."

یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی نے اپنے رسول کو خواب سچا دکھایا کہ ان شاء اللہ تم یقیناً پورے امن و امان کے ساتھ مسجد حرام میں داخل ہو گے سر منڈواتے اور سر کے با ل کتر واتے ہوئے ( چین کے ساتھ ) نڈر ہو کر وہ ان امور کو جانتا ہے جنہیں تم نہیں جانتے پس اس نے اس سے پہلے ایک نزدیک کی فتح تمہیں میسر کی ۔

Certainly has Allah showed to His Messenger the vision in truth. You will surely enter al-Masjid al-Haram, if Allah wills, in safety, with your heads shaved and [hair] shortened, not fearing [anyone]. He knew what you did not know and has arranged before that a conquest near [at hand].

محمد ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) اللہ کے رسول ہیں اور جو لوگ ان کے ساتھ ہیں کافروں پر سخت ہیں آپس میں رحمدل ہیں تو انہیں دیکھے گا رکوع اور سجدے کر رہے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالٰی کے فضل اور رضامندی کی جستجو میں ہیں ، ان کا نشان ان کے چہروں پر سجدوں کے اثر سے ہے ، ان کی یہی مثال تورات میں ہے اور ان کی مثال انجیل میں ہے مثل اس کھیتی کے جس نے اپنا انکھوا نکالا پھر اسے مضبوط کیا اور وہ موٹا ہوگیا پھر اپنے تنے پر سید ھا کھڑا ہوگیا اور کسانوں کو خوش کرنے لگا تاکہ ان کی وجہ سے کافروں کو چڑائے ، ان ایمان والوں اور نیک اعمال والوں سے اللہ نے بخشش کا اور بہت بڑے ثواب کا وعدہ کیا ہے ۔

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.

کیا جب ہم مر کر مٹی ہوجائیں گے ۔ پھر یہ واپسی دور ( از عقل ) ہے

When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return."

اور موت کی بے ہوشی حق لے کرآ پہنچی ، یہی ہے جس سے تو بدکتا پھرتا تھا ۔

And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid.

اور صور پھونک دیا جائے گا ۔ وعدہ ٔعذاب کا دن یہی ہے ۔

And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.

تم اس جنت میں سلامتی کے ساتھ داخل ہو جاؤ ۔ یہ ہمیشہ رہنے کا دن ہے ۔

Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity."

اس میں ہر صاحب دل کے لئے عبرت ہے اور اس کے لئے جو دل سےمتوجہ ہو کر کان لگائے اور وہ حاضر ہو ۔

Indeed in that is a reminder for whoever has a heart or who listens while he is present [in mind].

جس روز اس تند و تیز چیخ کو یقین کے ساتھ سن لیں گے یہ دن ہوگا نکلنے کا ۔

The Day they will hear the blast [of the Horn] in truth. That is the Day of Emergence [from the graves].

جس دن زمین پھٹ جائے گی اور یہ دوڑتے ہوئے ( نکل پڑیں گے ) یہ جمع کر لینا ہم پر بہت ہی آسان ہے ۔

On the Day the earth breaks away from them [and they emerge] rapidly; that is a gathering easy for Us.

ان کے رب نے جو کچھ انہیں عطا فرمایا ہےاسے لے رہے ہونگے وہ تو اس سے پہلے ہی نیکوکار تھے ۔

Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.

بیشک ظالموں کے لئے اس کے علاوہ اور عذاب بھی ہیں لیکن ان لوگوں میں سے اکثر بے علم ہیں ۔

And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.

یہی ان کے علم کی انتہا ہے ۔ آپ کا رب اس سے خوب واقف ہے جو اس کی راہ سے بھٹک گیا ہے اور وہی خوب واقف ہے اس سے بھی جو راہ یافتہ ہے ۔

That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.

بیشک یہ لوگ اس سے پہلے بہت نازوں میں پلے ہوئے تھے ۔

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

۔ ( قیامت کے ) دن تو دیکھے گا کہ مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کا نور انکے آگے آگے اور ان کے دائیں دوڑ رہا ہوگا آج تمہیں ان جنتوں کی خوشخبری ہے جنکے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں جن میں ہمیشہ کی رہائش ہے ۔ یہ ہے بڑی کامیابی ۔

On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

۔ ( آؤ ) دوڑو اپنے رب کی مغفرت کی طرف اور اس جنت کی طرف جس کی وسعت آسماں و زمین کی وسعت کے برابر ہے یہ ان کے لئے بنائی گئی ہے جو اللہ پر اور اس کے رسولوں ایمان رکھتے ہیں ۔ یہ اللہ کا فضل ہے جسے چاہے دے اور اللہ بڑے فضل والا ہے ۔

Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

نہ کوئی مصیبت دنیا میں آتی ہے نہ ( خاص ) تمہاری جانوں میں مگر اس سے پہلے کہ ہم اس کو پیدا کریں وہ ایک خاص کتاب میں لکھی ہوئی ہے یہ ( کام ) اللہ تعالٰی پر ( بالکل ) آسان ہے ۔

No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah , is easy -

ہاں جو شخص نہ پائے اس کے ذمہ دو مہینوں کے لگا تار روزے ہیں اس سے پہلے کہ ایک دوسرے کو ہاتھ لگائیں اور جس شخص کو یہ طاقت بھی نہ ہو اس پر ساٹھ مسکینوں کا کھانا کھلانا ہے ۔ یہ اس لئے کہ تم اللہ کی اور اس کے رسول کی حکم برداری کرو یہ اللہ تعالٰی کی مقرر کردہ حدیں ہیں اور کفار ہی کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

And he who does not find [a slave] - then a fast for two months consecutively before they touch one another; and he who is unable - then the feeding of sixty poor persons. That is for you to believe [completely] in Allah and His Messenger; and those are the limits [set by] Allah . And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.
