الفاظ ( اِلَّا )

یقیناً اس شخص کو جنون ہے ، پس تم اسے ایک وقت مقرر تک ڈھیل دو ۔

He is not but a man possessed with madness, so wait concerning him for a time."

تو ہم نے ان کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تو ہماری آنکھوں کے سامنے ہماری وحی کے مطابق ایک کشتی بنا جب ہمارا حکم آجائے اور تنور ابل پڑے تو تو ہر قسم کا ایک ایک جوڑا اس میں رکھ لے اور اپنے اہل کو بھی مگر ان میں سے جن کی بابت ہماری بات پہلے گزر چکی ہے خبردار جن لوگوں نے ظلم کیا ہے ان کے بارے میں مجھ سے کچھ کلام نہ کرنا وہ تو سب ڈبوئے جائیں گے ۔

So We inspired to him, "Construct the ship under Our observation, and Our inspiration, and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into the ship from each [creature] two mates and your family, except those for whom the decree [of destruction] has proceeded. And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are to be drowned.

اور سردار ان قوم نے جواب دیا جو کفر کرتے تھے اور آخرت کی ملاقات کو جھٹلاتے تھے اور ہم نے انہیں دنیوی زندگی میں خوشحال کر رکھا تھا ، کہ یہ تو تم جیسا ہی انسان ہے تمہاری ہی خوراک یہ بھی کھاتا ہے اور تمہارے پینے کا پانی ہی یہ بھی پیتا ہے ۔

And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink.

۔ ( زندگی ) تو صرف دنیا کی زندگی ہے ہم مرتے جیتے رہتے ہیں اور یہ نہیں کہ ہم پھر اٹھائے جائیں گے ۔

Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected.

یہ تو بس ایسا شخص ہے جس نے اللہ پر جھوٹ ( بہتان ) باندھ لیا ہے ، ہم تو اس پر ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں ۔

He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah , and we will not believe him."

ہم کسی نفس کو اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ تکلیف نہیں دیتے اور ہمارے پاس ایسی کتاب ہے جو حق کے ساتھ بولتی ہے ، ان کے اوپر کچھ بھی ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا ۔

And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.

اللہ تعالٰی فرمائے گا فی الواقع تم وہاں بہت ہی کم رہے ہو اے کاش! تم اسے پہلے ہی سےجان لیتے؟

He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known.

اللہ تعالٰی سچا بادشاہ ہے وہ بڑی بلندی والا ہے اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں ، وہی بزرگ عرش کا مالک ہے ۔

So exalted is Allah , the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

زانی مرد بجز زانیہ یا مشرکہ عورت کے اور سے نکاح نہیں کرتا اور زنا کار عورت بھی بجز زانی یا مشرک مرد کے اور نکاح نہیں کرتی اور ایمان والوں پر یہ حرام کر دیا گیا ۔

The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been made unlawful to the believers.

زانی مرد بجز زانیہ یا مشرکہ عورت کے اور سے نکاح نہیں کرتا اور زنا کار عورت بھی بجز زانی یا مشرک مرد کے اور نکاح نہیں کرتی اور ایمان والوں پر یہ حرام کر دیا گیا ۔

The fornicator does not marry except a [female] fornicator or polytheist, and none marries her except a fornicator or a polytheist, and that has been made unlawful to the believers.

ہاں جو لوگ اس کے بعد توبہ اور اصلاح کرلیں تو اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے والا اور مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

مسلمان عورتوں سے کہو کہ وہ بھی اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھیں اور اپنی عصمت میں فرق نہ آنے دیں اور اپنی زینت کو ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اس کے جو ظاہر ہے اور اپنے گریبانوں پر اپنی اوڑھنیاں ڈالے رہیں اور اپنی آرائش کو کسی کے سامنے ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اپنے خاوندوں کے یا اپنے والد یا اپنے خسر کے یا اپنے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے خاوند کے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے یا اپنے بھتیجوں کے یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنے میل جول کی عورتوں کے یا غلاموں کے یا ایسے نوکر چاکر مردوں کے جو شہوت والے نہ ہوں یا ایسے بچوں کے جو عورتوں کے پردے کی باتوں سے مطلع نہیں اور اس طرح زور زور سے پاؤں مار کر نہ چلیں کہ ان کی پوشیدہ زینت معلوم ہو جائے ، اے مسلمانوں! تم سب کے سب اللہ کی جناب میں توبہ کرو تاکہ تم نجات پاؤ ۔

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

مسلمان عورتوں سے کہو کہ وہ بھی اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھیں اور اپنی عصمت میں فرق نہ آنے دیں اور اپنی زینت کو ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اس کے جو ظاہر ہے اور اپنے گریبانوں پر اپنی اوڑھنیاں ڈالے رہیں اور اپنی آرائش کو کسی کے سامنے ظاہر نہ کریں سوائے اپنے خاوندوں کے یا اپنے والد یا اپنے خسر کے یا اپنے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے خاوند کے لڑکوں کے یا اپنے بھائیوں کے یا اپنے بھتیجوں کے یا اپنے بھانجوں کے یا اپنے میل جول کی عورتوں کے یا غلاموں کے یا ایسے نوکر چاکر مردوں کے جو شہوت والے نہ ہوں یا ایسے بچوں کے جو عورتوں کے پردے کی باتوں سے مطلع نہیں اور اس طرح زور زور سے پاؤں مار کر نہ چلیں کہ ان کی پوشیدہ زینت معلوم ہو جائے ، اے مسلمانوں! تم سب کے سب اللہ کی جناب میں توبہ کرو تاکہ تم نجات پاؤ ۔

کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا حکم مانو ، رسول اللہ کی اطاعت کرو ، پھر بھی اگر تم نے روگردانی کی تو رسول کے ذمے تو صرف وہی ہے جو اس پر لازم کر دیا گیا ہے اور تم پر اس کی جوابدہی ہے جو تم پر رکھا گیا ہے ہدایت تو تمہیں اسی وقت ملے گی جب رسول کی ماتحتی کرو سنو رسول کے ذمے تو صرف صاف طور پر پہنچا دینا ہے ۔

Say, "Obey Allah and obey the Messenger; but if you turn away - then upon him is only that [duty] with which he has been charged, and upon you is that with which you have been charged. And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided. And there is not upon the Messenger except the [responsibility for] clear notification."

یا اس کے پاس کوئی خزانہ ہی ڈال دیا جاتا یا اس کا کوئی باغ ہی ہوتا جس میں سے یہ کھاتا اور ان ظالموں نے کہا کہ تم ایسے آدمی کے پیچھے ہو لئے ہو جس پر جادو کر دیا گیا ہے ۔

Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

یہ آپ کے پاس جو کوئی مثال لائیں گے ہم اس کا سچا جواب اور عمدہ توجیہ آپ کو بتا دیں گے ۔

And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

اور تمہیں جب کبھی دیکھتے ہیں تو تم سے مسخر پن کرنے لگتے ہیں ۔ کہ کیا یہی وہ شخص ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے رسول بنا کر بھیجا ہے

And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?

کیا آپ اسی خیال میں ہیں کہ ان میں سے اکثر سنتے یا سمجھتے ہیں ۔ وہ تو نرے چوپایوں جیسے ہیں بلکہ ان سے بھی زیادہ بھٹکے ہوئے ۔

Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.

اور بیشک ہم نے اسے ان کے درمیان طرح طرح سے بیان کیا تاکہ وہ نصیحت حاصل کریں ، مگر پھر بھی اکثر لوگوں نے سوائے ناشکری کے مانا نہیں ۔

And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

ہم نے تو آپ کو خوشخبری اور ڈر سنانے والا ( نبی ) بنا کر بھیجا ہے ۔

And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

کہہ دیجئے کہ میں قرآن کے پہنچانے پر تم سے کوئی بدلہ نہیں چاہتا مگر جو شخص اپنے رب کی طرف راہ پکڑنا چاہے ۔

Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."

اور اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے اور کسی ایسے شخص کو جسے قتل کرنا اللہ تعالٰی نے منع کر دیا ہو وہ بجز حق کے قتل نہیں کرتے نہ وہ زنا کے مرتکب ہوتے ہیں اور جو کوئی یہ کام کرے وہ اپنے اوپر سخت وبال لائے گا ۔

And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

سوائے ان لوگوں کے جو توبہ کریں اور ایمان لائیں اور نیک کام کریں ، ایسے لوگوں کے گناہوں کو اللہ تعالٰی نیکیوں سے بدل دیتا ہے اللہ بخشنے والا مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

اور ان کے پاس رحمان کی طرف سے جو بھی نئی نصیحت آئی یہ اس سے روگردانی کرنے والے بن گئے ۔

And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.

بجز سچے اللہ تعالٰی کے جو تمام جہان کا پالنہار ہے ۔

Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,

لیکن فائدہ والا وہی ہوگا جو اللہ تعالٰی کے سامنے بے عیب دل لے کر جائے ۔

But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."

اور ہمیں تو سوا ان بدکاروں کے کسی اور نے گمراہ نہیں کیا تھا ۔

And no one misguided us except the criminals.

میں تم سے اس پر کوئی اجر نہیں چاہتا ، میرا بدلہ تو صرف رب العالمین کے ہاں ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

ان کا حساب تو میرے رب کے ذمہ ہے اگر تمہیں شعور ہو تو ۔

Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive.

میں تو صاف طور پر ڈرا دینے والا ہوں ۔

I am only a clear warner."

میں اس پر تم سے کوئی اجرت طلب نہیں کرتا میرا ثواب تو تمام جہان کے پروردگار کے پاس ہی ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

یہ تو بس پرانے لوگوں کی عادت ہے ۔

This is not but the custom of the former peoples,

میں اس پر تم سے کوئی اجرت نہیں مانگتا ، میری اجرت تو بس پروردگار عالم پر ہی ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

تو تو ہم جیسا ہی انسان ہے ۔ اگر تو سچوں سے ہے تو کوئی معجزہ لے آ ۔

You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."

میں تم سے اس پر کوئی بدلہ نہیں مانگتا میرا اجر تو صرف اللہ تعالٰی پر ہے جو تمام جہان کا رب ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

بجز ایک بڑھیا کے کہ وہ پیچھے رہ جانے والوں میں ہوگئی ۔

Except an old woman among those who remained behind.

میں اس پر تم سے کوئی اجرت نہیں چاہتا ، میرا اجر تمام جہانوں کے پالنے والے کے پاس ہے ۔

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

اورتو تو ہم جیسا ایک انسان ہے اور ہم تو تجھے جھوٹ بولنے والوں میں سے ہی سمجھتے ہیں ۔

You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.

ہم نے کسی بستی کو ہلاک نہیں کیا ہے مگر اسی حال میں کہ اس کے لئے ڈرانے والے تھے ۔

And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners

سوائے ان کے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کئے اور بکثرت اللہ تعالٰی کا ذکر کیا اور اپنی مظلومی کے بعد انتقام لیا جنہوں نے ظلم کیا ہے وہ بھی ابھی جان لیں گے کہ کس کروٹ الٹتے ہیں ۔

Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.

لیکن جو لوگ ظلم کریں پھر اس کے عوض نیکی کریں اس برائی کے پیچھے تو میں بھی بخشنے والا مہربان ہوں ۔

Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful.

اسکے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں وہی عظمت والے عرش کا مالک ہے ۔

Allah - there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Great Throne."

قوم کا جواب بجز اس کہنے کے اور کچھ نہ تھا کہ آل لوط کو اپنے شہر سے شہر بدر کر دو یہ تو بڑے پاکباز بن رہے ہیں ۔

But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure."

پس ہم نے اسے اور اس کے اہل کو بجز اس کی بیوی کے سب کو بچا لیا ، اس کا اندازہ تو باقی رہ جانے والوں میں ہم لگا ہی چکے تھے ۔

So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

کہہ دیجئے کہ آسمان والوں میں سے زمین والوں میں سے سوائے اللہ کے کوئی غیب نہیں جانتا انہیں تو یہ بھی نہیں معلوم کہ کب اٹھا کھڑے کئے جائیں گے؟

Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah , and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected."

آسمان اور زمین کی کوئی پوشیدہ چیز بھی ایسی نہیں جو روشن اور کھلی کتاب میں نہ ہو ۔

And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register.

اور نہ آپ اندھوں کو ان کی گمراہی سے ہٹا کر رہنمائی کر سکتے ہیں آپ تو صرف انہیں سنا سکتے ہیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان لائے ہیں پھر وہ فرمانبردار ہو جاتے ہیں ۔

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah ].

جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا تو سب کے سب آسمانوں والے اور زمین والے گھبرا اٹھیں گے مگر جسے اللہ تعالٰی چاہے اور سارے کے سارے عاجز و پست ہو کر اس کے سامنے حاضر ہونگے ۔

And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled.

اور جو برائی لے کر آئیں گے وہ اوندھے منہ آگ میں جھونک دیئے جائیں گے ۔ صرف وہی بدلہ دیئے جاؤ گے جو تم کرتے رہے ۔

And whoever comes with an evil deed - their faces will be overturned into the Fire, [and it will be said], "Are you recompensed except for what you used to do?"

پس جب ان کے پاس موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) ہمارے دیئے ہوئے کھلے معجزے لے کر پہنچے تووہ کہنے لگے یہ تو صرف گھڑا گھڑایا جادو ہے ہم نے اپنے اگلے باپ دادوں کے زمانہ میں کبھی یہ نہیں سنا ۔

But when Moses came to them with Our signs as clear evidences, they said, "This is not except invented magic, and we have not heard of this [religion] among our forefathers."
