الفاظ ( الْكٰفِرِيْنَ )

اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو ابلیس کے سوا سب نے سجدہ کیا ۔ اس نے انکار کیا اور تکبر کیا اور وہ کافروں میں ہو گیا ۔

And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.

اور ان کے پاس جب اللہ تعالٰی کی کتاب ان کی کتاب کو سچا کرنے والی آئی ، حالانکہ کہ پہلے یہ خود ( اس کے ذریعہ ) کافروں پر فتح چاہتے تھے تو باوجود آ جانے اور باوجود پہچان لینے کے پھر کفر کرنے لگے ، اللہ تعالٰی کی لعنت ہو کافروں پر ۔

And when there came to them a Book from Allah confirming that which was with them - although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved - but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allah will be upon the disbelievers.

انہیں مارو جہاں بھی پاؤ اور انہیں نکالو جہاں سے انہوں نے تمہیں نکالا ہے اور ( سنو ) فتنہ قتل سے زیادہ سخت ہے اور مسجد حرام کے پاس ان سے لڑائی نہ کرو جب تک کہ یہ خود تم سے نہ لڑیں ، اگر یہ تم سے لڑیں تو تم بھی انہیں مارو کا فروں کا بدلہ یہی ہے ۔

And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.

جب ان کا جالوت اور اس کے لشکر سے مقابلہ ہوا تو انہوں نے دعا مانگی کہ اے پروردگار ہمیں صبر دے ثابت قدمی دے اور قوم کفار پر ہماری مدد فرما ۔

And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

اے ایمان والو !اپنی خیرات کو احسان جتا کر اور ایذا پہنچا کر برباد نہ کرو !جس طرح وہ شخص جو اپنا مال لوگوں کے دکھاوے کے لئے خرچ کرے اور نہ اللہ تعالٰی پر ایمان رکھے نہ قیامت پر ، اس کی مثال اس صاف پتھر کی طرح ہے جس پر تھوڑی سی مٹی ہو پھر اس پر زور دار مینہ برسے اور وہ اسے بالکل صاف اور سخت چھوڑ دے ان ریاکاروں کو اپنی کمائی میں سے کوئی چیز ہاتھ نہیں لگتی اور اللہ تعالٰی کافروں کی قوم کو ( سیدھی ) راہ نہیں دکھاتا ۔

O you who have believed, do not invalidate your charities with reminders or injury as does one who spends his wealth [only] to be seen by the people and does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. His example is like that of a [large] smooth stone upon which is dust and is hit by a downpour that leaves it bare. They are unable [to keep] anything of what they have earned. And Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

اللہ تعالٰی کسی جان کو اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ تکلیف نہیں دیتا ، جو نیکی وہ کرے وہ اس کے لئے اور جو برائی وہ کرے وہ اس پر ہے ، اے ہمارے رب اگر ہم بھول گئے ہوں یا خطا کی ہو تو ہمیں نہ پکڑنا اے ہمارے رب ہم پر وہ بوجھ نہ ڈال جو ہم سے پہلے لوگوں پر ڈالا تھا اے ہمارے رب ہم پر وہ بوجھ نہ ڈال جس کی ہمیں طاقت نہ ہو اور ہم سے درگزر فرما اور ہمیں بخش دے اور ہم پر رحم کر تو ہی ہمارا مالک ہے ، ہمیں کافروں کی قوم پر غلبہ عطا فرما ۔

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."

مومنوں کو چاہیے کہ ایمان والوں کو چھوڑ کر کافروں کو اپنا دوست نہ بنائیں اور جو ایسا کرے گا وہ اللہ تعالٰی کی کسی حمایت میں نہیں مگر یہ کہ ان کے شر سے کسی طرح بچاؤ مقصود ہو اور اللہ تعالٰی خود تمہیں اپنی ذات سے ڈرا رہا ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی ہی کی طرف لوٹ جانا ہے ۔

Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah , except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the [final] destination.

کہہ دیجئے! کہ اللہ تعالٰی اور رسول کی اطاعت کرو ، اگر یہ منہ پھیر لیں تو بیشک اللہ تعالٰی کافروں سے محبت نہیں کرتا

Say, "Obey Allah and the Messenger." But if they turn away - then indeed, Allah does not like the disbelievers.

۔ ( یہ بھی وجہ تھی ) کہ اللہ تعالٰی ایمان والوں کو بالکل الگ کردے اور کافروں کو مٹا دے ۔

And that Allah may purify the believers [through trials] and destroy the disbelievers.

وہ یہی کہتے رہے کہ اے پروردگار! ہمارے گناہوں کو بخش دے اور ہم سے ہمارے کاموں میں جو بے جا زیادتی ہوئی ہے اسے بھی معاف فرما اور ہمیں ثابت قدمی عطا فرما اور ہمیں کافروں کی قوم پر مدد دے ۔

And their words were not but that they said, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."

جب تم سفر پر جا رہے ہو تو تم پر نمازوں کے قصر کرنے میں کوئی گناہ نہیں اگر تمہیں ڈر ہو کہ کافر تمہیں ستائیں گے ، یقیناً کافر تمہارے کھلے دشمن ہیں ۔

And when you travel throughout the land, there is no blame upon you for shortening the prayer, [especially] if you fear that those who disbelieve may disrupt [or attack] you. Indeed, the disbelievers are ever to you a clear enemy.

جن کی یہ حالت ہے کہ مسلمانوں کو چھوڑ کر کافروں کو دوست بناتے پھرتے ہیں ، کیا ان کے پاس عزت کی تلاش میں جاتے ہیں؟ ( تو یاد رکھیں کہ ) عزت تو ساری کی ساری اللہ تعالٰی کے قبضہ میں ہے ۔

Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honor [through power]? But indeed, honor belongs to Allah entirely.

اے ایمان والو! مومنوں کو چھوڑ کر کافروں کو دوست نہ بناؤ کیا تم یہ چاہتے ہو کہ اپنے اُوپر اللہ تعالٰی کی صاف حجت قائم کر لو ۔

O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case?

اے ایمان والو! تم میں سے جو شخص اپنے دین سے پھر جائے تو اللہ تعالٰی بہت جلد ایسی قوم کو لائے گا جو اللہ کی محبوب ہوگی اور وہ بھی اللہ سے محبت رکھتی ہوگی وہ نرم دل ہوں گے مسلمانوں پر اور سخت اور تیز ہو ں گے کفار پر ، اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کریں گے اور کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت کی پرواہ بھی نہ کریں گے یہ ہے اللہ تعالٰی کا فضل جسے چاہے دے ، اللہ تعالٰی بڑی وسعت والا اور زبردست علم والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah ; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

اے رسول جو کچھ بھی آپ کی طرف آپ کے رب کی جانب سے نازل کیا گیا ہے پہنچا دیجئے ۔ اگر آپ نے ایسا نہ کیا تو آپ نے اللہ کی رسالت ادا نہیں کی اور آپ کو اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں سے بچا لے گا بے شک اللہ تعالٰی کافر لوگوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اے اہل کتاب! تم دراصل کسی چیز پر نہیں جب تک کہ تورات و انجیل کو اور جو کچھ تمہاری طرف تمہارے رب کی طرف سے اتارا گیا ہے قائم نہ کرو ، جو کچھ آپ کی جانب آپ کے رب کی طرف سے اترا ہے وہ ان میں سے بہتوں کو شرارت اور انکار میں اور بھی بڑھائے گا ہی تو آپ ان کافروں پر غمگین نہ ہوں ۔

Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.

اور دوزخ والے جنت والوں کو پکاریں گے کہ ہمارے اوپر تھوڑا پانی ہی ڈال دو یا اور ہی کچھ دے دو جو اللہ نے تم کو دے رکھا ہے جنت والے کہیں گے کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے دونوں چیزوں کی کافروں کے لئے بندش کر دی ہے

And the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of Paradise, "Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allah has provided you." They will say, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers."

ان بستیوں کے کچھ کچھ قصے ہم آپ سے بیان کر رہے ہیں اور ان سب کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر معجزات لے کر آئے پھر جس چیز کو انہوں نے ابتدا میں جھوٹا کہہ دیا یہ بات نہ ہوئی کہ پھر اس کو مان لیتے اللہ تعالٰی اسی طرح کافروں کے دلوں پر بند لگا دیتا ہے ۔

Those cities - We relate to you, [O Muhammad], some of their news. And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers.

اور تم لوگ اس وقت کو یاد کرو! جب کہ اللہ تم سے ان دو جماعتوں میں سے ایک کا وعدہ کرتا تھا کہ وہ تمہارے ہاتھ آجائے گی اور تم اس تمنا میں تھے کہ غیر مسلح جماعت تمہارے ہاتھ آجائے اور اللہ تعالٰی کو یہ منظور تھا کہ اپنے احکام سے حق کا حق ہونا ثابت کردے اور ان کافروں کی جڑ کاٹ دے ۔

[Remember, O believers], when Allah promised you one of the two groups - that it would be yours - and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours. But Allah intended to establish the truth by His words and to eliminate the disbelievers

۔ ( ایک بات تو ) یہ ہوئی اور ( دوسری بات یہ ہے ) اللہ تعالٰی کو کافروں کی تدبیر کو کمزور کرنا تھا ۔

That [is so], and [also] that Allah will weaken the plot of the disbelievers.

پس ( اے مشرکو! ) تم ملک میں چار مہینے تک تو چل پھر لو جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو عاجز کرنے والے نہیں ہو اور یہ ( بھی یاد رہے ) کہ اللہ کافروں کو رسوا کرنے والا ہے ۔

So travel freely, [O disbelievers], throughout the land [during] four months but know that you cannot cause failure to Allah and that Allah will disgrace the disbelievers.

پھر اللہ نے اپنی طرف کی تسکین اپنے نبی پر اور مومنوں پر اتاری اور اپنے وہ لشکر بھیجے جنہیں تم دیکھ نہیں رہے تھے اور کافروں کو پوری سزا دی ۔ ان کفار کا یہی بدلہ تھا ۔

Then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Messenger and upon the believers and sent down soldiers angels whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers.

مہینوں کا آگے پیچھے کر دینا کفر کی زیادتی ہے اس سے وہ لوگ گمراہی میں ڈالے جاتے ہیں جو کافر ہیں ۔ ایک سال تو اسے حلال کر لیتے ہیں اور ایک سال اسی کو حرمت والا کر لیتے ہیں کہ اللہ نے جو حرمت رکھی ہے اس کے شمار میں تو موافقت کرلیں پھر اسے حلال بنالیں جسے اللہ نے حرام کیا ہے انہیں ان کے برے کام بھلے دکھا دیئے گئے ہیں اور قوم کفار کی اللہ رہنمائی نہیں فرماتا ۔

Indeed, the postponing [of restriction within sacred months] is an increase in disbelief by which those who have disbelieved are led [further] astray. They make it lawful one year and unlawful another year to correspond to the number made unlawful by Allah and [thus] make lawful what Allah has made unlawful. Made pleasing to them is the evil of their deeds; and Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

اور ہم کو اپنی رحمت سے ان کافر لوگوں سے نجات دے ۔

And save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people."

وہ کشتی انہیں پہاڑوں جیسی موجوں میں لے کر جا رہی تھی اور نوح ( علیہ السلام ) نے اپنے لڑکے کو جو ایک کنارے پر تھا ، پکار کر کہا کہ اے میرے پیارے بچے ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہو جا اور کافروں میں شامل نہ رہ ۔

And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called to his son who was apart [from them], "O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers."

اسی کو پکارنا حق ہے ، جو لوگ اوروں کو اس کے سوا پکارتے ہیں وہ ان ( کی پکار ) کا کچھ بھی جواب نہیں دیتے مگر جیسے کوئی شخص اپنے دونوں ہاتھ پانی کی طرف پھیلائے ہوئے ہو کہ اس کے منہ میں پڑ جائے حالانکہ وہ پانی اس کے منہ میں پہنچنے والا نہیں ان منکروں کی جتنی پکار ہے سب گمراہی میں ہے ۔

To Him [alone] is the supplication of truth. And those they call upon besides Him do not respond to them with a thing, except as one who stretches his hands toward water [from afar, calling it] to reach his mouth, but it will not reach it [thus]. And the supplication of the disbelievers is not but in error [i.e. futility].

اس جنت کی صفت جس کا وعدہ پرہیزگاروں کو دیا گیا ہے یہ ہے کہ اس کے نیچے سے نہریں بہہ رہی ہیں ۔ اس کا میوہ ہمیشگی والا ہے اور اس کا سایہ بھی یہ ہے انجام پرہیز گاروں کا ، اور کافروں کا انجام کارو دوزخ ہے ۔

The example of Paradise, which the righteous have been promised, is [that] beneath it rivers flow. Its fruit is lasting, and its shade. That is the consequence for the righteous, and the consequence for the disbelievers is the Fire.

پھر قیامت والے دن بھی اللہ تعالٰی انہیں رسوا کرے گا اور فرمائے گا کہ میرے شریک کہاں ہیں جن کے بارے میں تم لڑتے جھگڑتے تھے ، جنہیں علم دیا گیا تھا وہ پکار اٹھیں گے کہ آج تو کافروں کو رسوائی اور برائی چمٹ گئی ۔

Then on the Day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and say, "Where are My 'partners' for whom you used to oppose [the believers]?" Those who were given knowledge will say, "Indeed disgrace, this Day, and evil are upon the disbelievers" -

یہ اس لئے کہ انہوں نے دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت سے زیادہ محبوب رکھا یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی کافر لوگوں کو راہ راست نہیں دکھاتا ۔

That is because they preferred the worldly life over the Hereafter and that Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

کیا تو نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم کافروں کے پاس شیطانوں کو بھیجتے ہیں جو انہیں خوب اکساتے ہیں ۔

Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement?

اور اس دن صحیح طور پر ملک صرف رحمٰن کا ہی ہوگا اور یہ دن کافروں پر بڑا بھاری ہوگا ۔

True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.

پس آپ کافروں کا کہنا نہ مانیں اور قرآن کے ذریعہ ان سے پوری طاقت سے بڑا جہاد کریں ۔

So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.

پھر تو اپنا وہ کام کر گیا جو کر گیا اور تو ناشکروں میں ہے ۔

And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."

تاکہ اللہ تعالٰی انہیں اپنے فضل سے جزا دے جو ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کئے وہ کافروں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا ۔

That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

اے نبی! اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈرتے رہنا اور کافروں اور منافقوں کی باتوں میں نہ آجانا اللہ تعالٰی بڑے علم والا اور بڑی حکمت والا ہے ۔

O Prophet, fear Allah and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

اور کافروں اور منافقوں کا کہنا نہ ما نیے!اور جو ایذاء ( ان کی طرف سے پہنچے ) اس کا خیال بھی نہ کیجئے اللہ پر بھروسہ کیئے رہیں کافی ہے اللہ تعالٰی کام بنانے والا ۔

And do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites but do not harm them, and rely upon Allah . And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

اللہ تعالٰی نے کافروں پر لعنت کی ہے اور ان کے لئے بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ تیار کر رکھی ہے ۔

Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze.

وہی ایسا ہے جس نے تم کو زمین میں آباد کیا ، سو جو شخص کفر کرے گا اس کے کفر کا وبال اسی پر پڑے گا ۔ اور کافروں کے لئے ان کا کفر ان کے پروردگار کے نزدیک ناراضی ہی بڑھنے کا باعث ہوتا ہے اور کافروں کے لئے ان کا کفر خسارہ ہی بڑھنے کا باعث ہوتا ہے ۔

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.

وہی ایسا ہے جس نے تم کو زمین میں آباد کیا ، سو جو شخص کفر کرے گا اس کے کفر کا وبال اسی پر پڑے گا ۔ اور کافروں کے لئے ان کا کفر ان کے پروردگار کے نزدیک ناراضی ہی بڑھنے کا باعث ہوتا ہے اور کافروں کے لئے ان کا کفر خسارہ ہی بڑھنے کا باعث ہوتا ہے ۔

It is He who has made you successors upon the earth. And whoever disbelieves - upon him will be [the consequence of] his disbelief. And the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them in the sight of their Lord except in hatred; and the disbelief of the disbelievers does not increase them except in loss.

تاکہ وہ ہر اس شخص کو آگاہ کر دے جو زندہ ہے اور کافروں پر حجت ثابت ہو جائے ۔

To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.

مگر ابلیس نے ( نہ کیا ) ، اس نے تکبر کیا اور وہ تھا کافروں میں سے ۔

Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers.

ہاں ( ہاں ) بیشک تیرے پاس میری آیتیں پہنچ چکی تھیں جنہیں تو نے جھٹلایا اور غرورو تکبر کیا اور تو تھا ہی کافروں میں ۔

But yes, there had come to you My verses, but you denied them and were arrogant, and you were among the disbelievers.

کافروں کے غول کے غول جہنم کی طرف ہنکائے جائیں گے جب وہ اس کے پاس پہنچ جائیں گے اس کے دروازے ان کے لئے کھول دیئے جائیں گے اور وہاں کے نگہبان ان سے سوال کریں گے کہ کیا تمہارے پاس تم میں سے رسول نہیں آئے تھے؟ جو تم پر تمہارے رب کی آیتیں پڑھتے تھے اور تمہیں اس دن کی ملاقات سے ڈراتےتھے؟ یہ جواب دیں گے کہ ہاں درست ہے لیکن عذاب کا حکم کافروں پر ثابت ہوگیا ۔

And those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in groups until, when they reach it, its gates are opened and its keepers will say, "Did there not come to you messengers from yourselves, reciting to you the verses of your Lord and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the word of punishment has come into effect upon the disbelievers.

پس جب ان کے پاس ( موسیٰ علیہ السلام ) ہماری طرف سے ( دین ) حق کو لے کر آئے تو انہوں نے کہا کہ اس کے ساتھ جو ایمان والے ہیں ان کے لڑکوں کو تو مار ڈالو اور ان کی لڑکیوں کو زندہ رکھو اور کافروں کی جو حیلہ سازی ہے وہ غلطی میں ہی ہے ۔

And when he brought them the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who have believed with him and keep their women alive." But the plan of the disbelievers is not except in error.

وہ جواب دیں گے کہ کیا تمہارے پاس تمہارے رسول معجزے لے کر نہیں آئے تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے کیوں نہیں ، وہ کہیں گے کہ پھر تم ہی دعا کرو اور کافروں کی دعا محض بے اثر اور بے راہ ہے ۔

They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error."

جو اللہ کے سوا تھے وہ کہیں گے کہ وہ تو ہم سے بہک گئے بلکہ ہم تو اس سے پہلے کسی کو بھی پکارتے ہی نہ تھے اللہ تعالٰی کافروں کو اسی طرح گمراہ کرتا ہے ۔

Other than Allah ?" They will say, "They have departed from us; rather, we did not used to invoke previously anything." Thus does Allah put astray the disbelievers.

وہ اس لئے کہ ایمان والوں کا کارساز خود اللہ تعالٰی ہے اور اس لئے کہ کافروں کا کوئی کارساز نہیں ۔

That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector.

آپ کہہ دیجئے! اچھا اگر مجھے اور میرے ساتھیوں کو اللہ تعالٰی ہلاک کر دے یا ہم پر رحم کرے ( بہر صورت یہ تو بتاؤ ) کہ کافروں کو دردناک عذاب سے کون بچائے گا؟

Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered: whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?"

بیشک ( یہ جھٹلانا ) کافروں پر حسرت ہے ۔

And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

اور ( حضرت ) نوح ( علیہ السلام ) نے کہا کہ اے میرے پالنے والے! تو روئے زمین پر کسی کافر کو رہنے سہنے والا نہ چھوڑ ۔

And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.
