الفاظ ( فِيْ )

ہم نے ہر امت میں رسول بھیجا کہ ( لوگو ) صرف اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور اس کے سوا تمام معبودوں سے بچو ۔ پس بعض لوگوں کو تو اللہ تعالٰی نے ہدایت دی اور بعض پر گمراہی ثابت ہوگئی پس تم خود زمین میں چل پھر کر دیکھ لو جھٹلانے والوں کا انجام کیسا کچھ ہوا؟

And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut." And among them were those whom Allah guided, and among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers.

یا انہیں چلتے پھرتے پکڑلے یہ کسی صورت میں اللہ تعالٰی کو عاجز نہیں کر سکتے ۔

Or that He would not seize them during their [usual] activity, and they could not cause failure?

اور اللہ آسمان سے پانی برسا کر اس سے زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتا ہے ۔ یقیناً اس میں ان لوگوں کے لئے نشانی ہے جو سنیں ۔

And Allah has sent down rain from the sky and given life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who listen.

تمہارے لئے تو چوپایوں میں بھی بڑی عبرت ہے کہ ہم تمہیں اس کے پیٹ میں جو کچھ ہے اسی میں سے گوبر اور لہو کے درمیان سے خالص دودھ پلاتے ہیں جو پینے والوں کے لئے سہتا پچتا ہے ۔

And indeed, for you in grazing livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from what is in their bellies - between excretion and blood - pure milk, palatable to drinkers.

اور کھجور اور انگور کے درختوں کے پھلوں سے تم شراب بنا لیتے ہو اور عمدہ روزی بھی ۔ جو لوگ عقل رکھتے ہیں ان کے لئے تو اس میں بہت بڑی نشانی ہے ۔

And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason.

اور ہر طرح کے میوے کھا اور اپنے رب کی آسان راہوں میں چلتی پھرتی رہ ، ان کے پیٹ سے رنگ برنگ کا مشروب نکلتا ہے ، جس کے رنگ مختلف ہیں اور جس میں لوگوں کے لئے شفا ہے غور و فکر کرنے والوں کے لئے اس میں بہت بڑی نشانی ہے ۔

Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you]." There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.

کیا ان لوگوں نے پرندوں کو نہیں دیکھا جو تابع فرمان ہو کر فضا میں ہیں ، جنہیں بجز اللہ تعالٰی کے کوئی اور تھامے ہوئے نہیں ، بیشک اس میں ایمان لانے والے لوگوں کیلئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except Allah . Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

کیا ان لوگوں نے پرندوں کو نہیں دیکھا جو تابع فرمان ہو کر فضا میں ہیں ، جنہیں بجز اللہ تعالٰی کے کوئی اور تھامے ہوئے نہیں ، بیشک اس میں ایمان لانے والے لوگوں کیلئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except Allah . Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

اور جس دن ہم ہر امت میں انہی میں سے ان کے مقابلے پر گواہ کھڑا کریں گے اور تجھے ان سب پر گواہ بنا کر لائیں گے اور ہم نے تجھ پر یہ کتاب نازل فرمائی ہے جس میں ہرچیز کا شافی بیان ہے اور ہدایت اور رحمت اور خوشخبری ہے مسلمانوں کے لئے ۔

And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.

آپ صبر کریں بغیر توفیق الٰہی کے آپ صبر کر ہی نہیں سکتے اور ان کے حال پر رنجیدہ نہ ہوں اور جو مکرو فریب یہ کرتے رہتے ہیں ان سے تنگ دل نہ ہوں ۔

And be patient, [O Muhammad], and your patience is not but through Allah . And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire.

ہم ہر انسان کی برائی بھلائی کو اس کے گلے لگا دیا ہے اور بروز قیامت ہم اس کے سامنے اس کا نامہ اعمال نکالیں گے جسے وہ اپنے اوپر کھلا ہوا پا لے گا ۔

And [for] every person We have imposed his fate upon his neck, and We will produce for him on the Day of Resurrection a record which he will encounter spread open.

جو کچھ تمہارے دلوں میں ہے اسے تمہارا رب بخوبی جانتا ہے اگر تم نیک ہو تو وہ تو رجوع کرنے والوں کو بخشنے والا ہے ۔

Your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous [in intention] - then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving.

یہ بھی منجملہ اس وحی کے ہے جو تیری جانب تیرے رب نے حکمت سے اتاری ہے تو اللہ کے ساتھ کسی اور کو معبود نہ بنانا کہ ملامت خوردہ اور راندہ ٔدرگاہ ہو کر دوزخ میں ڈال دیا جائے ۔

That is from what your Lord has revealed to you, [O Muhammad], of wisdom. And, [O mankind], do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity, lest you be thrown into Hell, blamed and banished.

ہم نے تو اس قرآن میں ہر ہر طرح بیان فرما دیا کہ لوگ سمجھ جائیں لیکن اس سے انہیں تو نفرت ہی بڑھتی ہے ۔

And We have certainly diversified [the contents] in this Qur'an that mankind may be reminded, but it does not increase the disbelievers except in aversion.

یا کوئی اور ایسی خلقت جو تمہارے دلوں میں بہت ہی سخت معلوم ہو ، پھر وہ یہ پوچھیں کہ کون ہے جو دوبارہ ہماری زندگی لوٹائے؟ جواب دیں کہ وہی اللہ جس نے تمہیں اول بار پیدا کیا ، اس پر وہ اپنے سر ہلا ہلا کر آپ سے دریافت کریں گے کہ اچھا یہ ہے کب؟ تو آپ جواب دے دیں کہ کیا عجب کہ وہ ( ساعت ) قریب ہی آن لگی ہو ۔

Or [any] creation of that which is great within your breasts." And they will say, "Who will restore us?" Say, "He who brought you forth the first time." Then they will nod their heads toward you and say, "When is that?" Say, "Perhaps it will be soon -

اور جو کوئی اس جہان میں اندھا رہا ، وہ آخرت میں بھی اندھا اور راستے سے بہت ہی بھٹکا ہوا رہے گا ۔

And whoever is blind in this [life] will be blind in the Hereafter and more astray in way.

ہم نے تو اس قرآن میں لوگوں کے سمجھنے کے لئے ہر طرح سے مثالیں بیان کر دی ہیں ، مگر اکثر لوگ انکار سے باز نہیں آتے ۔

And We have certainly diversified for the people in this Qur'an from every [kind] of example, but most of the people refused [anything] except disbelief.

آپ دیکھیں گے کہ آفتاب بوقت طلوع ان کے غار سے دائیں جانب کو جھک جاتا ہے اور بوقت غروب ان کے بائیں جانب کترا جاتا ہے اور وہ اس غار کی کشادہ جگہ میں ہیں یہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ہے اللہ تعالٰی جس کی رہبری فرمائے وہ راہ راست پر ہے اور جسے وہ گمراہ کر دے ناممکن ہے کہ آپ اس کا کوئی کارساز اور رہنما پاسکیں ۔

And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah . He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray - never will you find for him a protecting guide.

اگر یہ کافر تم پر غلبہ پا لیں تو تمہیں سنگسار کر دیں گے یا تمہیں پھر اپنے دین میں لوٹا لیں گے اور پھر تم کبھی بھی کامیاب نہ ہو سکو گے ۔

Indeed, if they come to know of you, they will stone you or return you to their religion. And never would you succeed, then - ever."

وہ لوگ اپنے غار میں تین سو سال تک رہے اور نو سال اور زیادہ گزارے ۔

And they remained in their cave for three hundred years and exceeded by nine.

آپ کہہ دیں اللہ ہی کو ان کے ٹھہرے رہنے کی مدت کا بخوبی علم ہے ، آسمانوں اور زمینوں کا غیب صرف اسی کو حاصل ہے وہ کیا ہی اچھا دیکھنے سننے والا ہے سوائے اللہ کے ان کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ، اللہ تعالٰی اپنے حکم میں کسی کو شریک نہیں کرتا ۔

Say, " Allah is most knowing of how long they remained. He has [knowledge of] the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. How Seeing is He and how Hearing! They have not besides Him any protector, and He shares not His legislation with anyone."

ہم نے اس قرآن میں ہر ہر طریقے سے تمام کی تمام مثالیں لوگوں کے لئے بیان کر دی ہیں لیکن انسان سب سے زیادہ جھگڑالو ہے ۔

And We have certainly diversified in this Qur'an for the people from every [kind of] example; but man has ever been, most of anything, [prone to] dispute.

یہاں تک کہ سورج ڈوبنے کی جگہ پہنچ گیا اور اسے ایک دلدل کے چشمے میں غروب ہوتا ہوا پایا اور اس چشمے کے پاس ایک قوم کو بھی پایا ہم نے فرمادیا کہ اے ذوالقرنین! یا ، تو انہیں تکلیف پہنچائے یا ان کے بارے میں تو کوئی بہترین روش اختیار کرے ۔

Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it [as if] setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people. Allah said, "O Dhul-Qarnayn, either you punish [them] or else adopt among them [a way of] goodness."

اس دن ہم انہیں آپس میں ایک دوسرے میں گڈ مڈ ہوتے ہوئے چھوڑ دیں گے اور صور پھونک دیا جائے گا پس سب کو اکٹھا کرکے ہم جمع کرلیں گے ۔

And We will leave them that day surging over each other, and [then] the Horn will be blown, and We will assemble them in [one] assembly.

جن کی آنکھیں میری یاد سے پردے میں تھیں اور ( امر حق ) سن بھی نہیں سکتے تھے ۔

Those whose eyes had been within a cover [removed] from My remembrance, and they were not able to hear.

کیا خوب دیکھنے سننے والے ہونگے اس دن جبکہ ہمارے سامنے حاضر ہوں گے لیکن آج تو یہ ظالم لوگ صریح گمراہی میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں ۔

How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error.

تو انہیں اس رنج و افسوس کے دن کا ڈر سنا دے جبکہ کام انجام کو پہنچا دیا جائے گا اور یہ لوگ غفلت اور بے ایمانی میں ہی رہ جائیں گے ۔

And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.

اب تو اپنے بھائی سمیت میری نشانیاں ہمراہ لئے ہوئے جا ، اور خبردار میرے ذکر میں سستی نہ کرنا ۔

Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance.

جواب دیا کہ ان کا علم میرے رب کے ہاں کتاب میں موجود ہے ، نہ تو میرا رب غلطی کرتا ہے نہ بھولتا ہے ۔

[Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets."

تم خود کھاؤ اور اپنے چوپا یوںکو بھی چراؤ کچھ شک نہیں کہ اس میں عقلمندوں کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Eat [therefrom] and pasture your livestock. Indeed, in that are signs for those of intelligence.

پس موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے اپنے دل ہی دل میں ڈر محسوس کیا ۔

And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses.

اور تیرے دائیں ہاتھ میں جو ہے اسے ڈال دے کہ ان کی تمام کاریگری کو وہ نگل جائے ، انہوں نے جو کچھ بنایا ہے یہ صرف جادوگروں کے کرتب ہیں اور جادوگر کہیں سے بھی آئے کامیاب نہیں ہوتا ۔

And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is."

فرعون کہنے لگا کہ کیا میری اجازت سے پہلے ہی تم اس پر ایمان لے آئے؟ یقیناً یہی تمہارا وہ بڑا بزرگ ہے جس نے تم سب کو جادو سکھایا ہے ، ( سن لو ) میں تمہارے ہاتھ پاؤں الٹے سیدھے کٹوا کر تم سب کو کھجور کے تنوں میں سولی پر لٹکوا دوں گا ، اور تمہیں پوری طرح معلوم ہو جائے گا کہ ہم میں سے کس کی مار زیادہ سخت اور دیرپا ہے ۔

[Pharaoh] said, "You believed him before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will crucify you on the trunks of palm trees, and you will surely know which of us is more severe in [giving] punishment and more enduring."

کیا ان کی رہبری اس بات نے بھی نہیں کی کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے بہت سی بستیاں ہلاک کر دی ہیں جن کے رہنے سہنے کی جگہ یہ چل پھر رہے ہیں ۔ یقیناً اس میں عقلمندوں کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.

کیا ان کی رہبری اس بات نے بھی نہیں کی کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے بہت سی بستیاں ہلاک کر دی ہیں جن کے رہنے سہنے کی جگہ یہ چل پھر رہے ہیں ۔ یقیناً اس میں عقلمندوں کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence.

لوگوں کے حساب کا وقت قریب آگیا پھر بھی وہ بے خبری میں منہ پھیرے ہوئے ہیں ۔

[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away.

وہی اللہ ہے جس نے رات اور دن اور سورج اور چاند کو پیدا کیا ہے ۔ ان میں سے ہر ایک اپنے اپنے مدار میں تیرتے پھرتے ہیں ۔

And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.

آپ نے فرمایا! پھر تو تم اور تمہارے باپ دادا سبھی یقیناً کھلی گمراہی میں مبتلا رہے ۔

He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."

اور ہم نے لوط ( علیہ السلام ) کو اپنی رحمت میں داخل کر لیا بیشک وہ نیکوکار لوگوں میں سے تھا ۔

And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.

ہم نے انہیں اپنی رحمت میں داخل کر لیا ۔ یہ سب لوگ نیک تھے ۔

And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous.

اور سچا وعدہ قریب آلگے گا اس وقت کافروں کی نگاہیں پھٹی کی پھٹی رہ جائیں گی کہ ہائے افسوس! ہم اس حال سے غافل تھے بلکہ فی الواقع ہم قصوروار تھے ۔

And [when] the true promise has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers."

وہ تو دوزخ کی آہٹ تک نہ سنیں گے اور اپنی من بھاتی چیزوں میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہونگے ۔

They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally.

عبادت گزار بندوں کے لئے تو اس میں ایک بڑا پیغام ہے ۔

Indeed, in this [Qur'an] is notification for a worshipping people.

لوگو! اگر تمہیں مرنے کے بعد جی اٹھنے میں شک ہے تو سوچو ہم نے تمہیں مٹی سے پیدا کیا پھر نطفہ سے پھر خون بستہ سے پھر گوشت کے لوتھڑے سے جو صورت دیا گیا تھا اور وہ بے نقشہ تھا یہ ہم تم پر ظاہر کر دیتے ہیں اور ہم جسے چاہیں ایک ٹھہرائے ہوئے وقت تک رحم مادر میں رکھتے ہیں پھر تمہیں بچپن کی حالت میں دنیا میں لاتے ہیں پھر تاکہ تم اپنی پوری جوانی کو پہنچو ، تم میں سے بعض تو وہ ہیں جو فوت کر لئے جاتے ہیں اور بعض بے غرض عمر کی طرف پھر سے لوٹا دئیے جاتے ہیں کہ وہ ایک چیز سے باخبر ہونے کے بعد پھر بے خبر ہو جائے تو دیکھتا ہے کہ زمین ( بنجر اور ) خشک ہے پھر جب ہم اس پر بارشیں برساتے ہیں تو وہ ابھرتی ہے اور پھولتی ہے اور ہر قسم کی رونق دار نباتات اگاتی ہے ۔

O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

یہ دونوں اپنے رب کے بارے میں اختلاف کرنے والے ہیں پس کافروں کے لئے تو آگ کے کپڑےبیونت کر کاٹے جائیں گے ، اور ان کے سروں کے اوپر سے سخت کھولتا ہوا پانی بہایا جائے گا ۔

These are two adversaries who have disputed over their Lord. But those who disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire. Poured upon their heads will be scalding water

جس سے ان کے پیٹ کی سب چیزیں اور کھالیں گلا دی جائیں گی ۔

By which is melted that within their bellies and [their] skins.

اللہ کی توحید کو مانتے ہوئے اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرتے ہوئے ۔ سنو! اللہ کے ساتھ شریک کرنے والا گویا آسمان سے گر پڑا ، اب یا تو اسے پرندے اچک لے جائیں گے یا ہوا کسی دور دراز کی جگہ پھینک دے گی ۔

Inclining [only] to Allah , not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.

یہ اس لئے کہ شیطانی ملاوٹ کو اللہ تعالٰی ان لوگوں کی آزمائش کا ذریعہ بنا دے جن کے دلوں میں بیماری ہے اور جن کے دل سخت ہیں بیشک ظالم لوگ گہری مخالفت میں ہیں ۔

[That is] so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.

کافر اس وحی الٰہی میں ہمیشہ شک شبہ ہی کرتے رہیں گے حتٰی کہ اچانک ان کے سروں پر قیامت آجائے یا ان کے پاس اس دن کا عذاب آجائے جو منحوس ہے ۔

But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day.

اس دن صرف اللہ ہی کی بادشاہی ہوگی وہی ان میں فیصلے فرمائے گا ، ایمان اور نیک عمل والے تو نعمتوں سے بھری جنتوں میں ہوں گے ۔

[All] sovereignty that Day is for Allah ; He will judge between them. So they who believed and did righteous deeds will be in the Gardens of Pleasure.
