سورة المؤمنون

ہم نے ابن مریم اور اس کی والدہ کو ایک نشانی بنایا اور ان دونوں کو بلند صاف قرار والی اور جاری پانی والی جگہ میں پناہ دی ۔

And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water.

اے پیغمبر! حلال چیزیں کھاؤ اور نیک عمل کرو تم جو کچھ کر رہے ہو اس سے میں بخوبی واقف ہوں ۔

[ Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing.

یقیناً تمہارا یہ دین ایک ہی دین ہے اور میں ہی تم سب کا رب ہوں ، پس تم مجھ سے ڈرتے رہو ۔

And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me."

پھر انہوں نے خود ( ہی ) اپنے امر ( دین ) کے آپس میں ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر لئے ، ہر گروہ جو کچھ اس کے پاس ہے اسی پر اترا رہا ہے ۔

But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing.

پس آپ ( بھی ) انہیں انکی غفلت میں ہی کچھ مدت پڑا رہنے دیں ۔

So leave them in their confusion for a time.

کیا یہ ( یوں ) سمجھ بیٹھے ہیں؟ کہ ہم جو بھی ان کے مال و اولاد بڑھا رہے ہیں ۔

Do they think that what We extend to them of wealth and children

وہ ان کے لئے بھلائیوں میں جلدی کر رہے ہیں ( نہیں نہیں ) بلکہ یہ سمجھتے ہی نہیں ۔

Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive.

یقیناً جو لوگ اپنے رب کی ہیبت سے ڈرتے ہیں ۔

Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord

اور جو اپنے رب کی آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں ۔

And they who believe in the signs of their Lord

اور جو اپنے رب کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہیں کرتے ۔

And they who do not associate anything with their Lord

اور جو لوگ دیتے ہیں جو کچھ دیتے ہیں اور ان کے دل کپکپاتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنے رب کی طرف لوٹنے والے ہیں ۔

And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -

یہی ہیں جو جلدی جلدی بھلائیاں حاصل کر رہے ہیں اور یہی ہیں جو ان کی طرف دوڑ جانے والے ہیں ۔

It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.

ہم کسی نفس کو اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ تکلیف نہیں دیتے اور ہمارے پاس ایسی کتاب ہے جو حق کے ساتھ بولتی ہے ، ان کے اوپر کچھ بھی ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا ۔

And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.

بلکہ ان کے دل اس طرف سے غفلت میں ہیں اور ان کے لئے اس کے سوا بھی بہت سے اعمال ہیں جنہیں وہ کرنے والے ہیں ۔

But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing,

یہاں تک کہ جب ہم نے ان کے آسودہ حال لوگوں کو عذاب میں پکڑ لیا تو وہ بلبلانے لگے ۔

Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah ] for help.

آج مت بلبلاؤ یقیناً تم ہمارے مقابلہ پر مدد نہ کئے جاؤ گے ۔

Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped.

میری آیتیں تو تمہارے سامنے پڑھی جاتی تھیں پھر بھی تم اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل الٹے بھاگتے تھے ۔

My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels

اکڑتے اینٹھتے افسانہ گوئی کرتے اسے چھوڑ دیتے تھے ۔

In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil.

کیا انہوں نے اس بات میں غور و فکر ہی نہیں کیا ؟ بلکہ ان کے پاس وہ آیا جو ان کے اگلے باپ دادوں کے پاس نہیں آیا تھا ؟

Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?

یا انہوں نے اپنے پیغمبر کو پہچانا نہیں کہ اس کے منکر ہو رہے ہیں؟

Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging?

یا یہ کہتے ہیں کہ اسے جنون ہے ؟بلکہ وہ تو ان کے پاس حق لایا ہے ۔ ہاں ان میں اکثر حق سے چڑنے والے ہیں ۔

Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse.

اگر حق ہی ان کی خواہشوں کا پیرو ہو جائے تو زمین و آسمان اور ان کے درمیان کی ہرچیز درہم برہم ہو جائے حق تو یہ ہے کہ ہم نے انہیں ان کی نصیحت پہنچا دی ہے لیکن وہ اپنی نصیحت سے منہ موڑنے والے ہیں ۔

But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away.

کیا آپ ان سے کوئی اجرت چاہتے ہیں؟ یاد رکھئے کہ آپ کے رب کی اجرت بہت ہی بہتر ہے اور وہ سب سے بہتر روزی رساں ہے ۔

Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers.

یقیناً آپ تو انہیں راہ راست کی طرف بلا رہے ہیں ۔

And indeed, you invite them to a straight path.

بیشک جو لوگ آخرت پر یقین نہیں رکھتے وہ سیدھے راستے سے مڑ جانے والے ہیں ۔

But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path.

اور اگر ہم ان پر رحم فرمائیں اور ان کی تکلیفیں دور کر دیں تو یہ تو اپنی اپنی سرکشی میں جم کر اور بہکنے لگیں ۔

And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly.

اور ہم نے انہیں عذاب میں بھی پکڑا تاہم یہ لوگ نہ تو اپنے پروردگار کے سامنے جھکے اور نہ ہی عاجزی اختیار کی ۔

And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus]

یہاں تک کہ جب ہم نے ان پر سخت عذاب کا دروازہ کھول دیا تو اسی وقت فوراً مایوس ہوگئے ۔

Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair.

وہ اللہ ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے کان اور آنکھیں اور دل پیدا کئے ، مگر تم بہت ( ہی ) کم شکر کرتے ہو ۔

And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful.

اور وہی ہے جس نے تمہیں پیدا کرکے زمین میں پھیلا دیا اور اسی کی طرف تم جمع کئے جاؤ گے ۔

And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.

اور یہ وہی ہے جو جلاتا ہے اور مارتا ہے اور رات دن کے ردو بدل کا مختار بھی وہی ہے ۔ کیا تم کو سمجھ بوجھ نہیں؟

And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?

بلکہ ان لوگوں نے بھی ویسی ہی بات کہی جو اگلے کہتے چلے آئے ۔

Rather, they say like what the former peoples said.

کہ کیا جب ہم مر کر مٹی اور ہڈی ہوجائیں گے کیا پھر بھی ہم ضرور اٹھائے جائیں گے؟

They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

ہم سے اور ہمارے باپ دادوں سے پہلے ہی سے یہ وعدہ ہوتا چلا آیا ہے کچھ نہیں یہ تو صرف اگلے لوگوں کے افسانے ہیں ۔

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."

پوچھیئے تو سہی کہ زمین اور اس کی کل چیزیں کس کی ہیں؟ بتلاؤ اگر جانتے ہو؟

Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?"

فوراً جواب دیں گے کہ اللہ کی ، کہہ دیجئے کہ پھر تم نصیحت کیوں نہیں حاصل کرتے ۔

They will say, "To Allah ." Say, "Then will you not remember?"

دریافت کیجئے کہ ساتوں آسمانوں کا اور بہت با عظمت عرش کا رب کون ہے؟

Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?"

وہ لوگ جواب دیں گے کہ اللہ ہی ہے ۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ پھر تم کیوں نہیں ڈرتے؟

They will say, "[They belong] to Allah ." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

پوچھئے کہ تمام چیزوں کا اختیار کس کے ہاتھ میں ہے؟ جو پناہ دیتا ہے اور جس کے مقابلے میں کوئی پناہ نہیں دیا جاتا اگر تم جانتے ہو تو بتلاؤ؟

Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?"

یہی جواب دیں گے کہ اللہ ہی ہے ۔ کہہ دیجئے پھر تم کدھر سے جادو کر دیئے جاتے ہو؟

They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah ." Say, "Then how are you deluded?"

حق یہ ہے کہ ہم نے انہیں حق پہنچا دیا ہے اور یہ بیشک جھوٹے ہیں ۔

Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars.

نہ تو اللہ نے کسی کو بیٹا بنایا اور نہ اس کے ساتھ اور کوئی معبود ہے ، ورنہ ہر معبود اپنی مخلوق کو لئے لئے پھرتا اور ہر ایک دوسرے پر چڑھ دوڑتا جو اوصاف یہ بتلاتے ہیں ان سے اللہ پاک ( اور بے نیاز ) ہے ۔

Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him].

وہ غائب حاضر کا جاننے والا ہے اور جو شرک یہ کرتے ہیں اس سے بالا تر ہے ۔

[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him].

آپ دعا کریں کہ اے میرے پروردگار! اگر تو مجھے وہ دکھائے جس کا وعدہ انہیں دیا جا رہا ہے ۔

Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised,

تو اے رب! تو مجھے ان ظالموں کے گروہ میں نہ کرنا ۔

My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people."

ہم جو کچھ وعدے انہیں دے رہے ہیں سب آپ کو دکھا دینے پر یقیناً قادر ہیں ۔

And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them.

برائی کو اس طریقے سے دور کریں جو سراسر بھلائی والا ہو ، جو کچھ یہ بیان کرتے ہیں ہم بخوبی واقف ہیں ۔

Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe.

اور دعا کریں کہ اے میرے پروردگار! میں شیطانوں کے وسوسوں سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں ۔

And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils,

اور اے رب! میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں کہ وہ میرے پاس آجائیں ۔

And I seek refuge in You, my Lord , lest they be present with me."

یہاں تک کہ جب ان میں سے کسی کو موت آنے لگتی ہے تو کہتا ہے اے میرے پروردگار! مجھے واپس لوٹا دے ۔

[For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back
