الفاظ ( السَّمَاۗءِ )

یا آسمانی برسات کی طرح جس میں اندھیریاں اور گرج اور بجلی ہو موت سے ڈر کر کڑاکے کی وجہ سے اپنی انگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں ڈال لیتے ہیں ۔ اور اللہ تعالٰی کافروں کو گھیرنے والا ہے ۔

Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.

جس نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو فرش اور آسمان کو چھت بنایا اور آسمان سے پانی اتار کر اس سے پھل پیدا کر کے تمہیں روزی دی ، خبردار باوجود جاننے کے اللہ کے شریک مقّرر نہ کرو ۔

[He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].

وہ اللہ جس نے تمہارے لئے زمین کی تمام چیزوں کو پیدا کیا پھر آسمان کی طرف قصد کیا اور ان کو ٹھیک ٹھاک سات آسمان بنایا اور وہ ہرچیز کو جانتا ہے ۔

It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

پھر ان ظالموں نے اس بات کو جو ان سے کہی گئی تھی بدل ڈالی ، ہم نے بھی ان ظالموں پر ان کے فسق ونافرمانی کی وجہ سے آسمانی عذاب نازل کیا ۔

But those who wronged changed [those words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent down upon those who wronged a punishment from the sky because they were defiantly disobeying.

ہم آپ کے چہرے کو بار بار آسمان کی طرف اٹھتے ہوئے دیکھ رہے ہیں اب ہم آپکو اس قبلہ کی جانب متوجّہ کریں گے جس سے آپ خوش ہو جائیں آپ اپنا منہ مسجد حرام کی طرف پھیر لیں اور آپ جہاں کہیں ہوں اپنا منہ اسی طرف پھیرا کریں ۔ اہلِ کتاب کو اس بات کے اللہ کی طرف سے برحق ہونے کا قطعی علم ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی ان اعمال سے غافل نہیں جو یہ کرتے ہیں ۔

We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased. So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer]. Indeed, those who have been given the Scripture well know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش ، رات دن کا ہیر پھیر ، کشتیوں کا لوگوں کونفع دینے والی چیزوں کو لئے ہوئے سمندروں میں چلنا آسمان سے پانی اتار کر ، مردہ زمین کو زندہ کر دینا اس میں ہر قسم کے جانوروں کو پھیلا دینا ، ہواؤں کے رخ بدلنا ، اور بادل ، جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان مسخر ہیں ، ان میں عقلمندوں کے لئے قدرت الٰہی کی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.

آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش ، رات دن کا ہیر پھیر ، کشتیوں کا لوگوں کونفع دینے والی چیزوں کو لئے ہوئے سمندروں میں چلنا آسمان سے پانی اتار کر ، مردہ زمین کو زندہ کر دینا اس میں ہر قسم کے جانوروں کو پھیلا دینا ، ہواؤں کے رخ بدلنا ، اور بادل ، جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان مسخر ہیں ، ان میں عقلمندوں کے لئے قدرت الٰہی کی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.

یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی پر زمین و آسمان کی کوئی چیز پوشیدہ نہیں ۔

Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven.

آپ سے یہ اہل کتاب درخواست کرتے ہیں کہ آپ ان کے پاس کوئی آسمانی کتاب لائیں ، حضرت موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) سے توانہوں نے اس سے بہت بڑی درخواست کی تھی کہ ہمیں کھلم کھلا اللہ تعالٰی کو دکھا دے پس ان کے اس ظلم کے باعث ان پر کڑاکے کی بجلی آپڑی پھر باوجودیکہ ان کے پاس بہت دلیلیں پہنچ چکی تھیں انہوں نے بچھڑے کو اپنا معبود بنا لیا ، لیکن ہم نے یہ بھی معاف فرما دیا اور ہم نے موسیٰ کو کھلا غلبہ ( اور صریح دلیل ) عنایت فرمائی ۔

The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.

وہ وقت یاد کے قابل ہے جب کہ حواریوں نے عرض کیا کہ اے عیسیٰ بن مریم! کیا آپ کا رب ایسا کر سکتا ہے کہ ہم پر آسمان سے ایک خوان نازل فرما دے؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ اللہ سے ڈرو اگر تم ایمان والے ہو ۔

[And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah , if you should be believers."

عیسیٰ ابن مریم نے دعا کی کہ اے اللہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہم پر آسمان سے کھانا نازل فرما !کہ وہ ہمارے لئے یعنی ہم میں جو اول ہیں اور جو بعد کے ہیں سب کے لئے ایک خوشی کی بات ہو جائے اور تیری طرف سے ایک نشانی ہو جائے اور تو ہم کو رزق عطا فرما دے اور تو سب عطا کرنے والوں سے اچھا ہے ۔

Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah , our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers."

اور اگر آپ کو ان کا اعراض گراں گزرتا ہے تو اگر آپ کو یہ قدرت ہے کہ زمین میں کوئی سرنگ یا آسمان میں کوئی سیڑھی ڈھونڈ لو اور پھر کوئی معجزہ لے آؤ توکرو اور اگر اللہ کو منظور ہوتاتو ان سب کو راہ راست پر جمع کر دیتا سو آپ نادانوں میں سے نہ ہو جایئے ۔

And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.

اور وہ ایسا ہے جس نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا پھر ہم نے اس کے ذریعہ سے ہر قسم کے نبا ت کو نکالا پھر ہم نے اس سے سبز شاخ نکالی کہ اس سے ہم اوپر تلے دانے چڑھے ہوئے نکالتے ہیں اور کھجور کے درختوں سے ان کے گچھے میں سے ، خوشے ہیں جو نیچے کو لٹک جاتے ہیں اور انگوروں کے باغ اور زیتوں اور انار کے بعض ایک دوسرے سے ملتے جلتے ہوتے ہیں اور کچھ ایک دوسرے سے ملتے جلتے نہیں ہوتے ہر ایک کے پھل کو دیکھو جب وہ پھلتا ہے اور اس کے پکنے کو دیکھو ان میں دلائل ہیں ان لوگوں کے لئے جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں ۔

And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

سو جس شخص کو اللہ تعالٰی راستہ پر ڈالنا چاہے اس کے سینہ کو اسلام کے لئے کشادہ کر دیتا ہے اور جس کو بے راہ رکھنا چاہے اس کے سینے کو بہت تنگ کر دیتا ہے جیسے کوئی آسمان میں چڑھتا ہے اس طرح اللہ تعالٰی ایمان نہ لانے والوں پر ناپاکی مسلط کر دیتا ہے ۔

So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe.

جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا اور ان سے تکبر کیا ان کے لئے آسمان کے دروازے نہ کھولے جائیں گے اور وہ لوگ کبھی جنت میں نہ جائیں گے جب تک کہ اونٹ سوئی کے ناکہ کے اندر سے نہ چلا جائے اور ہم مجرم لوگوں کو ایسی ہی سزا دیتے ہیں ۔

Indeed, those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - the gates of Heaven will not be opened for them, nor will they enter Paradise until a camel enters into the eye of a needle. And thus do We recompense the criminals.

اور اگر ان بستیوں کے رہنے والے ایمان لے آتے اور پرہیزگاری اختیار کرتے تو ہم ان پر آسمان اور زمین کی برکتیں کھول دیتے لیکن انہوں نے تکذیب کی تو ہم نے ان کے اعمال کی وجہ سے ان کو پکڑ لیا ۔

And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allah , We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning."

سو بدل ڈالا ان ظالموں نے ایک اور کلمہ جو خلاف تھا اس کلمہ کے جس کی ان سے فرمائش کی گئی تھی ۔ اس پر ہم نے ان پر ایک آفت سماوی بھیجی اس وجہ سے کہ وہ حکم کو ضائع کرتے تھے ۔

But those who wronged among them changed [the words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky for the wrong that they were doing.

اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب کہ اللہ تم پر اونگھ طاری کر رہا تھا اپنی طرف سے چین دینے کے لئے اور تم پر آسمان سے پانی برسا رہا تھا کہ اس پانی کے ذریعے سے تم کو پاک کردے اور تم سے شیطانی وسوسہ کو دفع کردے اور تمہارے دلوں کو مضبوط کردے اور تمہارے پاؤں جمادے ۔

[Remember] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness [giving] security from Him and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you and remove from you the evil [suggestions] of Satan and to make steadfast your hearts and plant firmly thereby your feet.

اور جب کہ ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ اے اللہ! اگر یہ قرآن آپ کی طرف سے واقعی ہے تو ہم پر آسمان سے پتھر برسایا ہم پر کوئی دردناک عذاب واقع کردے ۔

And [remember] when they said, "O Allah , if this should be the truth from You, then rain down upon us stones from the sky or bring us a painful punishment."

پس دنیاوی زندگی کی حالت تو ایسی ہے جیسے ہم نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا پھر اس سے زمین کی نباتات ، جن کو آدمی اور چوپائے کھاتے ہیں ۔ خوب گنجان ہو کر نکلی یہاں تک کہ جب وہ زمین اپنی رونق کا پورا حصہ لے چکی اور اس کی خوب زیبائش ہوگئی اور اس کے مالکوں نے سمجھ لیا کہ اب ہم اس پر بالکل قابض ہوچکے ہیں تو دن میں یا رات میں اس پر ہماری طرف سے کوئی حکم ( عذاب ) آپڑا سو ہم نے اس کو ایسا صاف کر دیا کہ گویا کل وہ موجود ہی نہ تھی ۔ ہم اسی طرح آیات کو صاف صاف بیان کرتے ہیں ایسے لوگوں کے لئے جو سوچتے ہیں ۔

The example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which We have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it Our command by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do We explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.

آپ کہئے کہ وہ کون ہے جو تم کو آسمان اور زمین سے رزق پہنچاتا ہے یا وہ کون ہے جو کانوں اور آنکھوں پر پورا اختیار رکھتا ہے اور وہ کون ہے جو زندہ کو مردہ سے نکالتا ہے اور مردہ کو زندہ سے نکالتا ہے اور وہ کون ہے جو تمام کاموں کی تدبیر کرتا ہے؟ ضرور وہ یہی کہیں گے کہ ’’ اللہ ‘‘ تو ان سے کہیئے کہ پھر کیوں نہیں ڈرتے ۔

Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, " Allah ," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

اور آپ کسی حال میں ہوں اور منجملہ ان احوال کے آپ کہیں سے قرآن پڑھتے ہوں اور جو کام بھی کرتے ہوں ہم کو سب کی خبر رہتی ہے جب تم اس کام میں مشغول ہوتے ہو اور آپ کے رب سے کوئی چیز ذرہ برابر بھی غائب نہیں نہ زمین میں اور نہ آسمان میں اور نہ کوئی چیز اس سے چھوٹی اور نہ کوئی چیز بڑی مگر یہ سب کتاب مبین میں ہے ۔

And, [O Muhammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter or recite any of the Qur'an and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.

اسی نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا پھر اپنی اپنی وسعت کے مطابق نالے بہہ نکلے ۔ پھر پانی کے ریلے نے اوپر چڑھے جھاگ کو اٹھا لیا اور اس چیز میں بھی جس کو آگ میں ڈال کر تپاتے ہیں زیور یا سازو سامان کے لئے اسی طرح کے جھاگ ہیں اسی طرح اللہ تعالٰی حق اور باطل کی مثال بیان فرماتا ہے اب جھاگ تو نا کارہ ہو کر چلا جا تا ہے لیکن جو لوگوں کو نفع دینے والی چیز ہے ۔ وہ زمین میں ٹھہر رہتی ہے اللہ تعالٰی اسی طرح مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے ۔

He sends down from the sky, rain, and valleys flow according to their capacity, and the torrent carries a rising foam. And from that [ore] which they heat in the fire, desiring adornments and utensils, is a foam like it. Thus Allah presents [the example of] truth and falsehood. As for the foam, it vanishes, [being] cast off; but as for that which benefits the people, it remains on the earth. Thus does Allah present examples.

کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے پاکیزہ بات کی مثال کس طرح بیان فرمائی ، مثل ایک پاکیزہ درخت کے جس کی جڑ مضبوط ہے اور جس کی ٹہنیاں آسمان میں ہیں ۔

Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?

اللہ وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا اور آسمانوں سے بارش برسا کر اس کے ذریعے سے تمہاری روزی کے لئے پھل نکالے ہیں اور کشتیوں کو تمہارے بس میں کر دیا ہے کہ دریاؤں میں اس کے حکم سے چلیں پھریں ۔ اسی نے ندیاں اور نہریں تمہارے اختیار میں کر دی ہیں ۔

It is Allah who created the heavens and the earth and sent down rain from the sky and produced thereby some fruits as provision for you and subjected for you the ships to sail through the sea by His command and subjected for you the rivers.

اے ہمارے پروردگار! تو خوب جانتا ہے جو ہم چھپائیں اور جو ظاہر کریں ۔ زمین و آسمان کی کوئی چیز اللہ پر پوشیدہ نہیں ۔

Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the heaven.

اور اگر ہم ان پر آسمان کا دروازہ کھول بھی دیں اور یہ وہاں چڑھنے بھی لگ جائیں ۔

And [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend,

یقیناً ہم نے آسمان میں برج بنائے ہیں اور دیکھنے والوں کے لئے اسے سجا دیا گیا ہے ۔

And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers.

اور ہم بھیجتے ہیں بوجھل ہوائیں پھر آسمان سے پانی برسا کر وہ تمہیں پلاتے ہیں اور تم اس کا ذخیرہ کرنے والے نہیں ہو ۔

And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers.

وہی تمہارے فائدے کے لئے آسمان سے پانی برساتا ہے جسے تم پیتے بھی ہو اور اسی سے اُگے ہوئے درختوں کو تم اپنے جانوروں کو چراتے ہو ۔

It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals].

اور اللہ آسمان سے پانی برسا کر اس سے زمین کو اس کی موت کے بعد زندہ کر دیتا ہے ۔ یقیناً اس میں ان لوگوں کے لئے نشانی ہے جو سنیں ۔

And Allah has sent down rain from the sky and given life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who listen.

کیا ان لوگوں نے پرندوں کو نہیں دیکھا جو تابع فرمان ہو کر فضا میں ہیں ، جنہیں بجز اللہ تعالٰی کے کوئی اور تھامے ہوئے نہیں ، بیشک اس میں ایمان لانے والے لوگوں کیلئے بڑی نشانیاں ہیں ۔

Do they not see the birds controlled in the atmosphere of the sky? None holds them up except Allah . Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe.

یا آپ کے اپنے لئے کوئی سونے کا گھر ہو جائے یا آپ آسمان پر چڑھ جائیں اور ہم توآپ کے چڑھ جانے کا بھی اس وقت ہرگز یقین نہیں کریں گے جب تک کہ آپ ہم پر کوئی کتاب نہ اتار لائیں جسے ہم خود پڑھ لیں ، آپ جواب دے دیں کہ میرا پروردگار پاک ہے میں تو صرف ایک انسان ہی ہوں جو رسول بنایا گیا ہوں ۔

Or you have a house of gold or you ascend into the sky. And [even then], we will not believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a book we may read." Say, "Exalted is my Lord! Was I ever but a human messenger?"

آپ کہہ دیں کہ اگر زمین میں فرشتے چلتے پھرتے اور رہتے بستے ہوتے تو ہم بھی ان کے پاس کسی آسمانی فرشتے ہی کو رسول بنا کر بھیجتے ۔

Say, "If there were upon the earth angels walking securely, We would have sent down to them from the heaven an angel [as a] messenger."

بہت ممکن ہے کہ میرا رب مجھے تیرے اس باغ سے بھی بہتر دے اور اس پر آسمانی عذاب بھیج دے تو یہ چٹیل اور چکنا صاف میدان بن جائے ۔

It may be that my Lord will give me [something] better than your garden and will send upon it a calamity from the sky, and it will become a smooth, dusty ground,

ان کے سامنے دنیا کی زندگی کی مثال ( بھی ) بیان کرو جیسے پانی جسے ہم آسمان سے اتارتے ہیں اور اس سے زمین کا سبزہ ملا جلا ( نکلا ) ہے ، پھر آخرکار وہ چورا چورا ہو جاتا ہے جسے ہوائیں اڑائے لیئے پھرتی ہیں ۔ اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

And present to them the example of the life of this world, [its being] like rain which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. And Allah is ever, over all things, Perfect in Ability.

اسی نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو فرش بنایا ہے اور اس میں تمہارے چلنے کے لئے راستے بنائے ہیں اور آسمان سے پانی بھی وہی برساتا ہے ، پھر اس برسات کی وجہ سے مختلف قسم کی پیداوار بھی ہم ہی پیدا کرتے ہیں ۔

[It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants.

پیغمبر نے کہا میرا پروردگار ہر اس بات کو جو زمین و آسمان میں ہے بخوبی جانتا ہے ، وہ بہت ہی سننے والا اور جاننے والا ہے ۔

The Prophet said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."

جس کا خیال یہ ہو کہ اللہ تعالٰی اپنے رسول کی مدد دونوں جہان میں نہ کرے گا وہ اونچائی پر ایک رسہ باندھ کر ( اپنے حلق میں پھندا ڈال کر اپنا گلا گھونٹ لے ) پھر دیکھ لے کہ اس کی چالاکیوں سے وہ بات ہٹ جاتی ہے جو اسے تڑپا رہی ہے؟

Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]?

اللہ کی توحید کو مانتے ہوئے اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرتے ہوئے ۔ سنو! اللہ کے ساتھ شریک کرنے والا گویا آسمان سے گر پڑا ، اب یا تو اسے پرندے اچک لے جائیں گے یا ہوا کسی دور دراز کی جگہ پھینک دے گی ۔

Inclining [only] to Allah , not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.

کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی آسمان سے پانی برساتا ہے پس زمین سر سبز ہو جاتی ہے بیشک اللہ تعالٰی مہربان اور باخبر ہے ۔

Do you not see that Allah has sent down rain from the sky and the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted.

کیا آپ نے نہیں جانا کہ آسمان و زمین کی ہرچیز اللہ کے علم میں ہے ۔ یہ سب لکھی ہوئی کتاب میں محفوظ ہے ۔ اللہ تعالٰی پر تو یہ امر بالکل آسان ہے ۔

Do you not know that Allah knows what is in the heaven and earth? Indeed, that is in a Record. Indeed that, for Allah , is easy.

ہم ایک صحیح انداز سے آسمان سے پانی برساتے ہیں ، پھر اسے زمین میں ٹھہرا دیتے ہیں اور ہم اس کے لے جانے پر یقیناً قادر ہیں ۔

And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away.

کیا آپ نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ تعالٰی بادلوں کو چلاتا ہے پھر انہیں ملاتا ہے پھر انہیں تہ بہ تہ کر دیتا ہے پھر آپ دیکھتے ہیں کہ ان کے درمیان میں سے مینہ برستا ہے ۔ وہی آسمانوں کی جانب سےاولوں کے پہاڑ میں سے اولے برساتا ہے پھر جنہیں چاہے ان کے پاس انہیں برسائے اور جن سے چاہے ان سے انہیں ہٹا دے بادل ہی سے نکلنے والی بجلی کی چمک ایسی ہوتی ہے کہ گویا اب آنکھوں کی روشنی لے چلی ۔

Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The flash of its lightening almost takes away the eyesight.

اور وہی ہے جو باران رحمت سے پہلے خوشخبری دینے والی ہواؤں کو بھیجتا ہے اور ہم آسمان سے پاک پانی برساتے ہیں ۔

And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

بابرکت ہے وہ جس نے آسمان میں برج بنائے اور اس میں آفتاب بنایا اور منور مہتاب بھی ۔

Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

اگر ہم چاہتے تو ان پر آسمان سے کوئی ایسی نشانی اتارتے کہ جس کے سامنے ان کی گردنیں خم ہوجاتیں ۔

If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.

اگر تو سچے لوگوں میں سے ہے تو ہم پر آسمان کے ٹکڑے گرا دے ۔

So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."

بھلا بتاؤ تو؟ کہ آسمانوں کو اور زمین کو کس نے پیدا کیا؟ کس نے آسمان سے بارش برسائی؟ پھر اس سے ہرے بھرے بارونق باغات اگا دئیے؟ ان باغوں کے درختوں کو تم ہرگز نہ اگا سکتے ، کیا اللہ کے ساتھ اور کوئی معبود بھی ہے؟ بلکہ یہ لوگ ہٹ جاتے ہیں ( سیدھی راہ سے ) ۔

[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah ? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him].

کیا وہ جو مخلوق کی اول دفعہ پیدائش کرتا ہے پھر اسے لوٹائے گا اور جو تمہیں آسمان اور زمین سے روزیاں دے رہا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور معبود ہے کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر سچے ہو تو اپنی دلیل لاؤ ۔

Is He [not best] who begins creation and then repeats it and who provides for you from the heaven and earth? Is there a deity with Allah ? Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."
