In the name of Allah , the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Shuroo Allah kay naam say jo bara meharban nehayat reham kerney wala hai
अल्लाह के नाम से जो बड़ा कृपालु और अत्यन्त दयावान है।
[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away.
Logon kay hisab ka waqt qareeb aagaya phir bhi woh bey khabri mein mun pheray huye hain.
निकट आ गया लोगों का हिसाब और वे हैं कि असावधान कतराते जा रहे हैं
No mention comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play
Inn kay pass inn kay rab ki taraf say jo bhi naee naee naseehat aati hai issay woh khel kood mein hi suntay hain.
उन के पास जो ताज़ा अनुस्मृति भी उन के रब की ओर से आती है, उसे वे हँसी-खेल करते हुए ही सुनते हैं
With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?"
Inn kay dil bilkul ghafil hain aur inn zalimon ney chupkay chupkay sirgoshiyan kin kay woh tum hi jesa insan hai phir kiya waja hai jo tum aankhon dekhtay jadoo mein aajatay ho.
उन के दिल दिलचस्पियों में खोए हुए होते हैं। उन्होंने चुपके-चुपके कानाफूसी की - अर्थात अत्याचार की नीति अपनाने वालों ने कि "यह तो बस तुम जैसा ही एक मनुष्य है। फिर क्या तुम देखते-बूझते जादू में फँस जाओगे?"
The Prophet said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."
Payghumber ney kaha mera perwerdigar her uss baat ko jo zamin-o-aasman mein hai ba-khoobi janta hai woh boht hi sunnay wala aur jannay wala hai.
उस ने कहा, "मेरा रब जानता है उस बात को जो आकाश और धरती में हो। और वह भली-भाँति सब कुछ सुनने, जानने वाला है।"
But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]."
Itna hi nahi bulkay yeh to kehtay hain kay yeh quran peraganda khuwabon ka majmooa hai bulkay iss ney az-khud issay ghar liya hai bulkay yeh shaeer hai werna humaray samney yeh koi aisi nishani latay jesay kay aglay payghumber bhejay gaye thay.
नहीं, बल्कि वे कहते हैं, "ये तो संभ्रमित स्वप्नं है, बल्कि उस ने इसे स्वयं ही घड़ लिया है, बल्कि वह एक कवि है! उसे तो हमारे पास कोई निशानी लानी चाहिए, जैसे कि (निशानियाँ लेकर) पहले के रसूल भेजे गए थे।"
Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe?
Inn say pehlay jitni bastiyan hum ney ujarin sab eman say khali thin. To kiya abb yeh eman layen gay.
इन से पहले कोई बस्ती भी, जिस को हम ने विनष्ट किया, ईमान न लाई। फिर क्या ये ईमान लाएँगे?
And We sent not before you, [O Muhammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message if you do not know.
Tujh say pehlay bhi jitney payghumber hum ney bhejay sabhi mard thay jin ki taraf hum wahee utartay thay pus tum ehal-e-kitab say pooch lo agar khud tumhen ilm na ho.
और तुम से पहले भी हम ने पुरुषों ही को रसूल बनाकर भेजा, जिनकी ओर हम प्रकाशना करते थे। - यदि तुम्हें मालूम न हो तो ज़िक्र वालों (किताब वालों) से पूछ लो। -
And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].
Hum ney inn kay aisay jism nahi banaye thay kay woh khana na khayen aur na woh hamesha rehney walay thay.
उन को हम ने कोई ऐसा शरीर नहीं दिया था कि वे भोजन न करते हों और न वे सदैव रहने वाले ही थे
Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors.
Phir hum ney unn say kiye huye sab waday sachay kiye unhen aur jin jin ko hum ney chaha nijat ata farmaee aur hadd say nikal janey walon ko gharat ker diya.
फिर हम ने उन के साथ वादे को सच्चा कर दिखाया और उन्हें हम ने छुटकारा दिया, और जिसे हम चाहें उसे छुटकारा मिलता है। और मर्यादाहीनों को हम ने विनष्ट कर दिया
We have certainly sent down to you a Book in which is your mention. Then will you not reason?
Yaqeenan hum ney tumhari janib kitab nazil farmaee hai jiss mein tumharay liye zikar hai kiya phir bhi tum aqal nahi rakhtay?
लो, हम ने तुम्हारी ओर एक किताब अवतरित कर दी है, जिस में तुम्हारे लिए याददिहानी है। तो क्या तुम बुद्धि से काम नहीं लेते?
And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people.
Aure boht si bastiyan hum ney tabah ker din jo zalim thin aur unn kay baad hum ney doosri qom ko peda ker diya.
कितनी ही बस्तियों को, जो ज़ालिम थीं, हम ने तोड़कर रख दिया और उन के बाद हम ने दूसरे लोगों को उठाया
And when its inhabitants perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it.
Jab unhon ney humaray azab ka ehsas ker liya to lagay uss say bhagney.
फिर जब उन्हें हमारी यातना का आभास हुआ तो लगे वहाँ से भागने
[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."
Bhag dor na kero aur jahan tumhen aasoodgi di gaee thi wahin wapis loto aur apney makanaat ki taraf jao takay tum say sawal to ker liya jaye.
कहा गया, "भागो नहीं! लौट चलो, उसी भोग-विलास की ओर जो तुम्हें प्राप्त था और अपने घरों की ओर ताकि तुम से पूछा जाए।"
They said, "O woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
Kehney lagay haaye humari kharabi! Be-shak hum zalim thay.
कहने लगे, "हाय हमारा दुर्भाग्य! निस्संदेह हम ज़ालिम थे।"
And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].
Phir to unn ka yehi qol raha yahan tak kay hum ney unhen jarr say kati hui kheti aur bujhi pari aag ( ki tarah ) ker diya.
फिर उन की निरन्तर यही पुकार रही, यहाँ तक कि हम ने उन्हें ऐसा कर दिया जैसे कटी हुई खेती, बुझी हुई आग हो
And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.
Hum ney aasman-o-zamin aur inn kay darmiyan ki cheezon ko kheltay huye nahi banaya.
और हम ने आकाश और धरती को और जो कुछ उस के मध्य में है कुछ इस प्रकार नहीं बनाया कि हम कोई खेल करने वाले हो
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
Agar hum yun hi khel tamashay ka irada kertay to to ussay apnay pass say hi bana letay agar hum kerney walay hi hotay.
यदि हम कोई खेल-तमाशा करना चाहते हो अपने ही पास से कर लेते, यदि हम ऐसा करने ही वाले होते
Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.
Bulkay hum sach ko jhoot per phenk maartay hain pus sach jhoot ka sir tor deta hai aur woh ussi waqt nabood ho jata hai tum jo baten banatay ho woh tumharay liye baees-e-kharabi hain.
नहीं, बल्कि हम तो असत्य पर सत्य की चोट लगाते हैं, तो वह उस का सिर तोड़ देता है। फिर क्या देखते हैं कि वह मिटकर रह जाता है और तुम्हारे लिए तबाही है उन बातों के कारण जो तुम बनाते हो!
To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire.
Aasmano aur zamin mein jo hai ussi Allah ka hai aur jo uss kay pass hain woh uss ki ibadat say na sirkashi kertay hain aur na thaktay hain.
और आकाशों और धरती में जो कोई है उसी का है। और जो (फ़रिश्ते) उस के पास है वे न तो अपने को बड़ा समझकर उस की बन्दगी से मुँह मोड़ते हैं और न वे थकते हैं
They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken.
Woh din raat tasbeeh biyan kertay hain aur zara si bhi susti nahi kertay.
रात और दिन तसबीह करते रहते हैं, दम नहीं लेते
Or have men taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?
Kiya inn logon ney zamin ( ki makhlooqaat mein ) say jinhen mabood bana rakha hai woh zinda ker detay hain.
(क्या उन्होंने आकाश से कुछ पूज्य बना लिए है)... या उन्होंने धरती से ऐसे इष्ट -पूज्य बना लिए है, जो पुनर्जीवित करते हों?
Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah , they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah , Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
Agar aasman-o-zamin mein siwaye Allah Taalaa kay aur bhi mabood hotay to yeh dono darhum barhum ho jatay pus Allah Taalaa arsh ka rab her uss wasf say pak hai jo yeh mushrik biyan kertay hain.
यदि इन दोनों (आकाश और धरती) में अल्लाह के सिवा दूसरे इष्ट-पूज्य भी होते तो दोनों की व्यवस्था बिगड़ जाती। अतः महान और उच्च है अल्लाह, राजासन का स्वामी, उन बातों से जो ये बयान करते हैं
He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.
Woh apney kaamon key liye ( kissi kay aagay ) jawab deh nahi aur sab ( uss kay aagay ) jawab deh hain.
जो कुछ वह करता है उस से उस की कोई पूछ नहीं हो सकती, किन्तु इन से पूछ होगी
Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muhammad], "Produce your proof. This [Qur'an] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me." But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.
Kiya inn logon ney Allah kay siwa aur mabood bana rakhay hain inn say keh do laao apni daleel paish kero. Yeh hain meray sath walon ki kitab aur mujh say aglon ki daleel. Baat yeh hain kay inn mein kay aksar log haq ko nahi jantay issi waja say mun moray huye hain.
(क्या ये अल्लाह के हक़ को नहीं पहचानते) या उसे छोड़कर इन्होंने दूसरे इष्ट-पूज्य बना लिए हैं (जिस के लिए इन के पास कुछ प्रमाण है)? कह दो, "लाओ, अपना प्रमाण! यह अनुस्मृति है उन की जो मेरे साथ है और अनुस्मृति है उन की जो मुझ से पहले हुए हैं, किन्तु बात यह है कि इनमें अधिकतर सत्य को जानते नहीं, इसलिए कतरा रहे हैं
And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."
Tujh say pehlay bhi jo rasool hum ney bheja uss ki taraf yehi wahee nazil farmaee kay meray siwa koi mabood bar-haq nahi pus tum sab meri hi ibadat kero.
हम ने तुम से पहले जो रसूल भी भेजा, उस की ओर यही प्रकाशना की कि " "मेरे सिवा कोई पूज्य-प्रभु नहीं। अतः तुम मेरी ही बन्दगी करो।"
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants.
( Mushrik log ) kehtay hain kay rehman aulad wala hai ( ghalat hai ) uss ki zaat pak hai bulkay woh sab uss kay ba-izzat banday hain.
और वे कहते हैं कि "रहमान सन्तान रखता है।" महान हो वह! बल्कि वे तो प्रतिष्ठित बन्दे हैं
They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command.
Kiss baat mein Allah per paish dasti nahi kertay bulkay uss kay farmaan per kaar band hain.
उस से आगे बढ़कर नहीं बोलते और उन के आदेश का पालन करते हैं
He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive.
Woh inn kay aagay peechay kay tamam umoor say waqif hai woh kissi ki bhi sifarish nahi kertay ba-juz unn kay jin say Allah khush ho woh to khud haibat-e-elahee say larzan-o-tarsan hain.
वह जानता है जो कुछ उन के आगे है और जो कुछ उन के पीछे है, और वे किसी की सिफ़ारिश नहीं करते सिवाय उस के जिस के लिए अल्लाह पसन्द करे। और वे उस के भय से डरते रहते हैं
And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him"- that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.
Inn mein say agar koi bhi keh day kay Allah kay siwa mein laeeq-e-ibadat hun to hum ussay dozakh ki saza den hum zalimon ko issi tarah saza detay hain.
और जो उन में से यह कहे कि "उन के सिवा मैं भी एक इष्ट -पूज्य हूँ।" तो हम उसे बदले में जहन्नम देंगे। ज़ालिमों को हम ऐसा ही बदला दिया करते हैं
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?
Kiya kafir logon ney yeh nahi dekha kay aasman-o-zamin ba-hum milay julay thay phir hum ney unhen juda kiya aur her zinda cheez ko hum ney pani say peda kiya kiya yeh log phir bhi eman nahi latay.
क्या उन लोगों ने जिन्होंने इनकार किया, देखा नहीं कि ये आकाश और धरती बन्द थे। फिर हम ने उन्हें खोल दिया। और हम ने पानी से हर जीवित चीज़ बनाई, तो क्या वे मानते नहीं?
And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.
Aur hum ney zamin mein pahar bana diye takay woh makhlooq ko hila na sakay aur hum ney iss mein kushada raahen bana den takay woh raasta hasil keren.
और हम ने धरती में अटल पहाड़ रख दिए, ताकि कहीं ऐसा न हो कि वह उन्हें लेकर ढुलक जाए और हम ने उस में ऐसे दर्रे बनाए कि रास्तों का काम देते हैं, ताकि वे मार्ग पाएँ
And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away.
Aasman ko mehfooz chat bhi hum ney hi banaya hai. Lekin log iss ki qudrat kay namoono per dehan hi nahi dhartay.
और हम ने आकाश को एक सुरक्षित छत बनाया, किन्तु वे हैं कि उस की निशानियों से कतरा जाते हैं
And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.
Wohi Allah hai jiss ney raat aur din aur sooraj aur chand ko peda kiya hai. Inn mein say her aik apney apney madaar mein tertay phirtay hain.
वही है जिस ने रात और दिन बनाए और सूर्य और चन्द्र भी। प्रत्येक अपने-अपने कक्ष में तैर रहा है
And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?
Aap say pehlay kissi insan ko bhi hum ney hameshgi nahi di kiya agar aap marr gaye to woh hamesha kay liye reh jayen gay.
हम ने तुम से पहले भी किसी आदमी के लिए अमरता नहीं रखी। फिर क्या यदि तुम मर गए तो वे सदैव रहने वाले हैं?
Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.
Her jaandaar mot ka maza chakhney wala hai. Hum ba-tareeq imtehan tum say her aik ko buraee bhalaee mein mubtila kertay hain aur tum sab humari hi taraf lotaye jaogay.
हर जीव को मौत का मज़ा चखना है और हम अच्छी और बुरी परिस्थितियों में डालकर तुम सबकी परीक्षा करते हैं। अन्ततः तुम्हें हमारी ही ओर पलटकर आना है
And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who insults your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers.
Yeh munkireen tujhay jab bhi dekhtay hain to tumhara mazaq hi uratay hain kay kiya yehi woh hai jo tumharay maboodon ka zikar buraee say kerta hai aur woh khud hi rehman ki yaad kay bilkul hi munkir hain.
जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया वे जब तुम्हें देखते हैं तो तुम्हारा उपहास ही करते हैं। (कहते हैं,) "क्या यही वह व्यक्ति है, जो तुम्हारे इष्ट -पूज्यों की बुराई के साथ चर्चा करता है?" और उन का अपना हाल यह है कि वे रहमान के ज़िक्र (स्मरण) से इनकार करते हैं
Man was created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not impatiently urge Me.
Insan jald baaz makhlooq hai. Mein tumhen apni nishaniyan abhi abhi dikhaoon ga tum mujh say jald baazi na kero.
मनुष्य उतावला पैदा किया गया है। मैं तुम्हें शीघ्र ही अपनी निशानियाँ दिखाए देता हूँ। अतः तुम मुझ से जल्दी मत मचाओ
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
Kehtay hain kay agar sachay ho to bata do kay yeh wada kab hai.
वे कहते हैं कि "यह वादा कब पूरा होगा, यदि तुम सच्चे हो?"
If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...
Kaash! Yeh kafir jantay kay uss waqt na to yeh kafir aag ko apney chehron say hata saken gay aur na apni peethon say aur na unn ki madad ki jayegi.
अगर इनकार करने वालें उस समय को जानते, जबकि वे न तो अपने चहरों की ओर आग को रोक सकेंगे और न अपनी पीठों की ओर से और न उन्हें कोई सहायता ही पहुँच सकेगी तो (यातना की जल्दी न मचाते)
Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved.
( Haan haan! ) waday ki ghari unn kay pass achanak aajayegi aur enhen hakka bakka ker dey gi phir na to yeh log ussay taal saken gay aur na zara si mohlat diye jayengay.
बल्कि वह अचानक उन पर आएगी और उन्हें स्तब्ध कर देगी। फिर न उसे वे फेर सकेंगे और न उन्हें मुहलत ही मिलेगी
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
Aur tujh say pehlay rasoolon kay sath bhi hansi mazaq kiya gaya pus hansi kerney walon ko hi uss cheez ney gher liya jiss ki woh hansi uratay thay.
तुम से पहले भी रसूलों की हँसी उड़ाई जा चुकी है, किन्तु उन में से जिन लोगों ने उन की हँसी उड़ाई थी उन्हें उसी चीज़ ने आ घेरा, जिस की वे हँसी उड़ाते थे
Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away.
Inn say poochiye kay rehman say din aur raat tumhari hifazat kaun ker sakta hai? Baat yeh hai kay yeh log apnay rab kay zikar say phiray huye hain.
कहो कि "कौन रहमान के मुक़ाबले में रात-दिन तुम्हारी रक्षा करेगा? बल्कि बात यह है कि वे अपने रब की याददिहानी से कतरा रहे हैं
Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.
Kiya humaray siwa inn kay aur mabood hain jo enhen musibaton say bacha len. Koi bhi khud apni madad ki taqat nahi rakhta aur na koi humari taraf say rafaqat diya jata hai.
(क्या वे हमें नहीं जानते) या हम से हटकर उन के और भी इष्ट-पूज्य है, जो उन्हें बचा ले? वे तो स्वयं अपनी ही सहायता नहीं कर सकते हैं और न हमारे मुक़ाबले में उन का कोई साथ ही दे सकता है
But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? So it is they who will overcome?
Bulkay hum ney enhen aur inn kay baap dadon ko zindagi kay saro saman diye yahan tak kay unn ki muddat-e-umar guzar gaee. Kiya woh nahi dekhtay kay hum zamin ko iss kay kinaron say ghatatay chalay aarahey hain abb kiya wohi ghalib hain?keh dijiye! Mein to tumhen Allah ki wahee kay zariye aagah ker raha hun magar behray log baat nahi suntay jabkay unhen aagah kiya jaye.
बल्कि बात यह है कि हम ने उन्हें और उन के बाप-दादा को सुख-सुविधा प्रदान की, यहाँ तक कि इसी दशा में एक लम्बी मुद्दत उन पर गुज़र गई, तो क्या वे देखते नहीं कि हम इस भूभाग को उस के चतुर्दिक से घटाते हुए बढ़ रहे हैं? फिर क्या वे अभिमानी रहेंगे?
Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.
Keh dijiye! Mein to tumhen Allah ki wahee kay zariye aagah ker raha hun magar behray log baat nahi suntay jabkay unhen aagah kiya jaye.
कह दो, "मैं तो बस प्रकाशना के आधार पर तुम्हें सावधान करता हूँ।" किन्तु बहरे पुकार को नहीं सुनते, जबकि उन्हें सावधान किया जाए
And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."
Agar enhen teray rab kay kissi azab ka jhonka bhi lag jaye to pukar uthen kay haye humari bad-bakhti! Yeqeenan hum gunehgar thay.
और यदि तुम्हारे रब की यातना का कोई झोंका भी उन्हें छू जाए तो वे कहने लगे, "हाय, हमारा दुर्भाग्य! निस्संदेह हम ज़ालिम थे।"
And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.
Qayamat kay din hum darmiyan mein laa rakhen gay theek theek tolney wali tarazoo ko. Phir kissi per kuch bhi zulm na kiya jayega. Aur agar aik raaee kay daney kay barabar bhi amal hoga hum ussay laa hazir keren gay aur hum kafi hain hisab kerney walay.
और हम बज़नी, अच्छे न्यायपूर्ण कामों को क़ियामत के दिन के लिए रख रहे हैं। फिर किसी व्यक्ति पर कुछ भी ज़ुल्म न होगा, यद्यपि वह (कर्म) राई के दाने के बराबर हो, हम उसे ला उपस्थित करेंगे। और हिसाब करने के लिए हम काफ़ी है
And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous
Yeh bilkul sach hai kay hum ney musa-o-haroon ko faislay kerney wali noorani aur perhezgaron kay liye waaz-o-naseehat wali kitab ata farmaee hai.
और हम मूसा और हारून को कसौटी और रौशनी और याददिहानी प्रदान कर चुके हैं, उन डर रखने वालों के लिए
Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive.
Woh log jo apney rab say bin dekhay khof khatay hain aur qayamat ( kay tasawwur ) say kaanptay rehtay hain.
जो परोक्ष में रहते हुए अपने रब से डरते हैं और उन्हें क़ियामत की घड़ी का भय लगा रहता है
