الفاظ ( اُولٰۗىِٕكَ )

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور ہجرت کی اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا اور جنہوں نے پناہ دی اور مدد پہنچائی ۔ یہی لوگ سچے مومن ہیں ، ان کے لئے بخشش ہے اور عزت کی روزی ۔

But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.

لائق نہیں کہ مشرک اللہ تعالٰی کی مسجدوں کو آباد کریں ۔ درآں حالیکہ وہ خود اپنے کفر کے آپ ہی گواہ ہیں ان کے اعمال غارت و اکارت ہیں اور وہ دائمی طور پر جہنمی ہیں ۔

It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allah [while] witnessing against themselves with disbelief. [For] those, their deeds have become worthless, and in the Fire they will abide eternally.

اللہ کی مسجدوں کی رونق و آبادی تو ان کے حصے میں ہے جو اللہ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہوں نمازوں کے پابند ہوں زکٰوۃ دیتے ہوں ، اللہ کے سوا کسی سے نہ ڈرتے ہوں توقع ہے کہ یہی لوگ یقیناً ہدایت یافتہ ہیں

The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah , for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.

مثل ان لوگوں کے جو تم سے پہلے تھے تم سے وہ زیادہ قوت والے تھے اور زیادہ مال اولاد والے تھے پس وہ اپنا دینی حصہ برت گئے پھر تم نے بھی اپنا حصہ برت لیا جیسے تم سے پہلے کے لوگ اپنے حصے سے فائدہ مند ہوئے تھے اور تم نے بھی اس طرح مذاقانہ بحث کی جیسے کہ انہوں نے کی تھی ان کے اعمال دنیا اور آخرت میں غارت ہوگئے یہی لوگ نقصان پانے والے ہیں ۔

[You disbelievers are] like those before you; they were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their portion [of worldly enjoyment], and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion, and you have engaged [in vanities] like that in which they engaged. [It is] those whose deeds have become worthless in this world and in the Hereafter, and it is they who are the losers.

مومن مرد و عورت آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے ( مددگار و معاون ) اور دوست ہیں ، وہ بھلائی کا حکم دیتے ہیں اور برائیوں سے روکتے ہیں ، نمازوں کو پابندی سے بجا لاتے ہیں زکٰو ۃ ادا کرتے ہیں اللہ کی اور اس کے رسول کی بات مانتے ہیں یہی لوگ ہیں جن پر اللہ تعالٰی بہت جلد رحم فرمائے گا بیشک اللہ غلبے والا حکمت والا ہے ۔

The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

ایسے لوگوں کا ٹھکانا ان کے اعمال کی وجہ سے دوزخ ہے ۔

For those their refuge will be the Fire because of what they used to earn.

جن لوگوں نے نیکی کی ہے ان کے واسطے خوبی ہے اور مزید برآں بھی اور ان کے چہروں پر نہ سیاہی چھائے گی اور نہ ذلت ، یہ لوگ جنت میں رہنے والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally

اور جن لوگوں نے بد کام کئے ان کی بدی کی سزا اس کے برابر ملے گی اور ان کو ذلت چھائے گی ان کو اللہ تعالٰی سے کوئی نہ بچا سکے گا گویا ان کے چہروں پر اندھیری رات کے پرت کے پرت لپیٹ دیئے گئے ۔ ہیں یہ لوگ دوزخ میں رہنے والے ہیں ، اور وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

سوائے ان کے جو صبر کرتے ہیں اور نیک کاموں میں لگے رہتے ہیں ۔ انہیں لوگوں کے لئے بخشش بھی ہے اور بہت بڑا نیک بدلہ بھی ۔

Except for those who are patient and do righteous deeds; those will have forgiveness and great reward.

ہاں یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے آخرت میں سوائے آگ کے اور کچھ نہیں اور جو کچھ انہوں نے یہاں کیا ہوگا وہاں سب اکارت ہے اور جو کچھ ان کے اعمال تھے سب برباد ہونے والے ہیں ۔

Those are the ones for whom there is not in the Hereafter but the Fire. And lost is what they did therein, and worthless is what they used to do.

کیا وہ شخص جو اپنے رب کے پاس کی دلیل پر ہو اور اس کے ساتھ اللہ کی طرف کا گواہ ہو اور اس سے پہلے موسیٰ کی کتاب ( گواہ ہو ) جو پیشوا و رحمت ہے ( اوروں کے برابر ہو سکتا ہے؟ ) یہی لوگ ہیں جو اس پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور تمام فرقوں میں سے جو بھی اس کا منکر ہو اس کے آخری وعدے کی جگہ جہنم ہے پس تو اس میں کسی قسم کے شبہ میں نہ رہ یقیناً یہ تیرے رب کی جانب سے سراسر برحق ہے ، لیکن اکثر لوگ ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہوتے ۔

So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in the Qur'an. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe.

اس سے بڑھ کر ظالم کون ہوگا جو اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھے یہ لوگ اپنے پروردگار کے سامنے پیش کیے جائیں گے اور سارے گواہ کہیں گے کہ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار پر جھوٹ باندھا خبردار ہو کہ اللہ کی لعنت ہے ظالموں پر ۔

And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about Allah ? Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.

نہ یہ لوگ دنیا میں اللہ کو ہراسکے اور نہ ان کا کوئی حمائتی اللہ کے سوا ہوا ، ان کے لئے عذاب دگنا کیا جائے گا نہ یہ سننے کی طاقت رکھتے تھے اور نہ دیکھتے ہی تھے ۔

Those were not causing failure [to Allah ] on earth, nor did they have besides Allah any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.

یہی ہیں جنہوں نے اپنا نقصان آپ کر لیا اور وہ سب کچھ ان سے کھو گیا ، جو انہوں نے گھڑ رکھا تھا ۔

Those are the ones who will have lost themselves, and lost from them is what they used to invent.

یقیناً جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے کام بھی نیک کئے اور اپنے پالنے والے کی طرف جھکتے رہے ، وہی جنت میں جانے والے ہیں ، جہاں وہ ہمیشہ ہی رہنے والے ہیں ۔

Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds and humbled themselves to their Lord - those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide eternally therein.

اگر تجھے تعجب ہو تو واقعی ان کا یہ کہنا عجیب ہے کہ کیا جب ہم مٹی ہوجائیں گے تو کیا ہم نئی پیدائش میں ہو نگے؟ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار سے کفر کیا یہی ہیں جن کی گردنوں میں طوق ہوں گے اور یہی ہیں جو جہنم کے رہنے والے ہیں جو اس میں ہمیشہ ہمیش رہیں گے ۔

And if you are astonished, [O Muhammad] - then astonishing is their saying, "When we are dust, will we indeed be [brought] into a new creation?" Those are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord, and those will have shackles upon their necks, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

جن لوگوں نے اپنے رب کے حکم کی بجاآوری کی ان کے لئے بھلائی ہے اور جن لوگوں نے اس کی حکم کی برداری نہ کی اگر ان کے لئے زمین میں جو کچھ ہے سب کچھ ہو اور اسی کے ساتھ ویسا ہی اور بھی ہو تو وہ سب کچھ اپنے بدلے میں دے دیں ۔ یہی ہیں جن کے لئے برا حساب ہے اور جن کا ٹھکانا جہنم ہے جو بہت بری جگہ ہے ۔

For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward], but those who did not respond to Him - if they had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.

اور وہ اپنے رب کی رضامندی کی طلب کے لئے صبر کرتے ہیں اور نمازوں کو برابر قائم رکھتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے انہیں دے رکھا ہے اسے چھپے کھلے خرچ کرتے ہیں اور برائی کو بھی بھلائی سے ٹالتے ہیں ان ہی کے لئے عاقبت کا گھر ہے ۔

And those who are patient, seeking the countenance of their Lord, and establish prayer and spend from what We have provided for them secretly and publicly and prevent evil with good - those will have the good consequence of [this] home -

اور جو اللہ کے عہد کو اس کی مضبوطی کے بعد توڑ دیتے ہیں اور جن چیزوں کے جوڑنے کا اللہ نے حکم دیا ہے انہیں توڑتے ہیں اور زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہیں ، ان کے لئے لعنتیں ہیں اور ان کے لئے برا گھر ہے ۔

But those who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and spread corruption on earth - for them is the curse, and they will have the worst home.

جو آخرت کے مقابلے میں دنیاوی زندگی کو پسند رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے ہیں اور اس میں ٹیڑھ پن پیدا کرنا چاہتے ہیں یہی لوگ پرلے درجے کی گمراہی میں ہیں ۔

The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah , seeking to make it ( seem ) deviant. Those are in extreme error.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دلوں پر اور جن کے کانوں پر اور جن کی آنکھوں پر مہر لگا دی ہے اور یہی لوگ غافل ہیں ۔

Those are the ones over whose hearts and hearing and vision Allah has sealed, and it is those who are the heedless.

جس بات کی تجھے خبر ہی نہ ہو اس کے پیچھے مت پڑ کیونکہ کان اور آنکھ اور دل ان میں سے ہر ایک سے پوچھ گچھ کی جانے والی ہے ۔

And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned.

جنہیں یہ لوگ پکارتے ہیں خود وہ اپنے رب کے تقرب کی جستجو میں رہتے ہیں کہ ان میں سے کون زیادہ نزدیک ہو جائے وہ خود اس کی رحمت کی امید رکھتے اور اس کے عذاب سے خوف زدہ رہتے ہیں ، ( بات بھی یہی ہے ) کہ تیرے رب کا عذاب ڈرنے کی چیز ہی ہے ۔

Those whom they invoke seek means of access to their Lord, [striving as to] which of them would be nearest, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is ever feared.

ان کے لئے ہمیشگی والی جنتیں ہیں ، ان کے نیچے سے نہریں جاری ہونگی ، وہاں یہ سونے کے کنگن پہنائے جائیں گے اور سبز رنگ کے نرم و باریک اور موٹے ریشم کے لباس پہنیں گے وہاں تختوں کے اوپر تکیے لگائے ہوئے ہوں گے ۔ کیا خوب بدلہ ہے ، اور کس قدر عمدہ آرام گاہ ہے ۔

Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اپنے پروردگار کی آیتوں اور اس کی ملاقات سے کفر کیا اس لئے ان کے اعمال غارت ہوگئے پس قیامت کے دن ہم ان کا کوئی وزن قائم نہ کریں گے ۔

Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance.

یہی وہ انبیا ءہیں جن پر اللہ تعالٰی نے فضل وکرم کیا جو اولادِ آدم میں سے ہیں اور ان لوگوں کی نسل سے ہیں جنہیں ہم نے نوح ( علیہ السلام ) کے ساتھ کشتی میں چڑھا لیا تھا ، اور اولاد ابراہیم و یعقوب سے اور ہماری طرف سے راہ یافتہ اور ہمارے پسندیدہ لوگوں میں سے ۔ ان کے سامنے جب اللہ رحمان کی آیتوں کی تلاوت کی جاتی تھی یہ سجدہ کرتے اورروتے گڑ گڑاتے گر پڑتے تھے ۔

Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping.

البتہ بیشک جن کے لئے ہماری طرف سے نیکی پہلے ہی ٹھہر چکی ہے ۔ وہ سب جہنم سے دور ہی رکھے جائیں گے ۔

Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.

اور جو لوگ ہماری نشانیوں کو پست کرنے کے درپے رہتے ہیں وہی دوزخی ہیں ۔

But the ones who strove against Our verses, [seeking] to cause failure - those are the companions of Hellfire.

یہی وارث ہیں ۔

Those are the inheritors

یہی ہیں جو جلدی جلدی بھلائیاں حاصل کر رہے ہیں اور یہی ہیں جو ان کی طرف دوڑ جانے والے ہیں ۔

It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.

خبیث عورتیں خبیث مردوں کے لائق ہیں اور خبیث مرد خبیث عورتوں کے لائق ہیں اور پاک عورتیں پاک مردوں کے لائق ہیں اور پاک مرد پاک عورتوں کے لائق ہیں ۔ ایسے پاک لوگوں کے متعلق جو کچھ بکواس ( بہتان باز ) کر رہے ہیں وہ ان سے بالکل بری ہیں ان کے لئے بخشش ہے اور عزت والی روزی ۔

Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are [subjected] to evil words. And good words are for good men, and good men are [an object] of good words. Those [good people] are declared innocent of what the slanderers say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.

اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ تعالٰی اور رسول پر ایمان لائے اور فرماں بردار ہوئے پھر ان میں سے ایک فرقہ اس کے بعد بھی پھر جاتا ہے ۔ یہ ایمان والے ہیں ( ہی ) نہیں ۔

But the hypocrites say, "We have believed in Allah and in the Messenger, and we obey"; then a party of them turns away after that. And those are not believers.

کیا ان کے دلوں میں بیماری ہے؟ یا یہ شک و شبہ میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں؟ یا انہیں اس بات کا ڈر ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کا رسول ان کی حق تلفی نہ کریں؟ بات یہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ خود ہی بڑے ظالم ہیں ۔

Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they doubted? Or do they fear that Allah will be unjust to them, or His Messenger? Rather, it is they who are the wrongdoers.

با ایمان لوگ تو وہی ہیں جو اللہ تعالٰی پر اور اس کے رسول پر یقین رکھتے ہیں اور جب ایسے معاملہ میں جس میں لوگوں کے جمع ہونے کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے نبی کے ساتھ ہوتے ہیں توجب تک آپ سے اجازت نہ لیں کہیں نہیں جاتے ۔ جو لوگ ایسے موقع پر آپ سے اجازت لے لیتے ہیں حقیقت میں یہی ہیں جو اللہ تعالٰی پر اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لا چکے ہیں پس جب ایسے لوگ آپ سے اپنے کسی کام کے لئے اجازت طلب کریں تو آپ ان میں سے جسے چاہیں اجازت دے دیں اور ان کے لئے اللہ تعالٰی سے بخشش کی دعا مانگیں ، بیشک اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

The believers are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger and, when they are [meeting] with him for a matter of common interest, do not depart until they have asked his permission. Indeed, those who ask your permission, [O Muhammad] - those are the ones who believe in Allah and His Messenger. So when they ask your permission for something of their affairs, then give permission to whom you will among them and ask forgiveness for them of Allah . Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

جو لوگ اپنے منہ کے بل جہنم کی طرف جمع کئے جائیں گے وہی بدتر مکان والے اور گمراہ تر راستے والے ہیں ۔

The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں ان کے صبر کے بدلے جنت کے بلند و بالا خانے دیئے جائیں گے جہاں انہیں دعا سلام پہنچایا جائے گا ۔

Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.

یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے بُرا عذاب ہے اور آخرت میں بھی وہ سخت نقصان یافتہ ہیں ۔

Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں انکے صبر کے بدلے میں دوہرا اجر دیا جائے گا یہ نیکی سے بدی کو ٹال دیتے ہیں اور ہم نے جو انہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے دیتے رہتے ہیں ۔

Those will be given their reward twice for what they patiently endured and [because] they avert evil through good, and from what We have provided them they spend.

جو لوگ اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں اور اس کی ملاقات کو بھلاتے ہیں وہ میری رحمت سے نا امید ہوجائیں اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him - those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment.

کہہ دیجئے کہ مجھ میں اور تم میں اللہ تعالٰی گواہ ہونا کافی ہے وہ آسمان و زمین کی ہرچیز کا عالم ہے ، جو لوگ باطل کے ماننے والے اور اللہ تعالٰی سے کفر کرنے والے ہیں وہ زبردست نقصان اور گھاٹے میں ہیں ۔

Say, "Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness. He knows what is in the heavens and earth. And they who have believed in falsehood and disbelieved in Allah - it is those who are the losers."

یہی لوگ ہیں جو اپنے رب کی طرف سے ہدایت پر ہیں اور یہی لوگ نجات پانے والے ہیں ۔

Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful.

اور بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو لغو باتوں کو مول لیتے ہیں کہ بے علمی کے ساتھ لوگوں کو اللہ کی راہ سے بہکائیں اور اسے ہنسی بنائیں یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے رسوا کرنے والا عذاب ہے ۔

And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.

تمہاری مدد میں ( پورے ) بخیل ہیں پھر جب خوف و دہشت کا موقعہ آجائے تو آپ انہیں دیکھیں گے کہ آپ کی طرف نظریں جما دیتے ہیں اور ان کی آنکھیں اس طرح گھومتی ہیں جیسے اس شخص کی جس پر موت کی غشی طاری ہو پھر جب خوف جاتا رہتا ہے تو تم پر اپنی تیز زبانوں سے بڑی باتیں بناتے ہیں مال کے بڑے ہی حریص ہیں یہ ایمان لائے ہی نہیں ہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے ان کے تمام اعمال نابود کر دئیے ہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی پر یہ بہت ہی آسان ہے ۔

Indisposed toward you. And when fear comes, you see them looking at you, their eyes revolving like one being overcome by death. But when fear departs, they lash you with sharp tongues, indisposed toward [any] good. Those have not believed, so Allah has rendered their deeds worthless, and ever is that, for Allah , easy.

تاکہ وہ ایمان والوں اور نیکو کاروں کو بھلا بدلہ عطا فرمائے یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے مغفرت اور عزت کی روزی ہے ۔

That He may reward those who believe and do righteous deeds. Those will have forgiveness and noble provision.

اور ہماری آیتوں کو نیچا دکھانے کی جنہوں نے کوشش کی ہے یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے بدترین قسم کا دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

But those who strive against Our verses [seeking] to cause failure - for them will be a painful punishment of foul nature.

اور جو لوگ ہماری آیتوں کے مقابلہ کی تگ و دو میں لگے رہتے ہیں یہی ہیں جو عذاب میں پکڑ کر حاضر رکھے جائیں گے ۔

And the ones who strive against Our verses to cause [them] failure - those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].

جو شخص عزت حاصل کرنا چاہتا ہو تو اللہ تعالٰی ہی کی ساری عزت ہےتمام تر ستھرے کلمات اسی کی طرف چڑھتے ہیں اور نیک عمل ان کو بلند کرتا ہے جو لوگ برائیوں کے داؤں گھات میں لگے رہتے ہیں ان کے لئے سخت تر عذاب ہے اور ان کا یہ مکر برباد ہو جائے گا ۔

Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish.

انہیں کے لئے مقررہ روزی ہے ۔

Those will have a provision determined -

اور ثمود نے اور قوم لوط نے اور أیکہ کے رہنے والوں نے بھی یہی ( بڑے ) لشکرتھے ۔

And [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket. Those are the companies.

جو بات کو کان لگا کر سنتے ہیں ۔ پھر جو بہترین بات ہو اس کی اتباع کرتے ہیں ۔ یہی ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے ہدایت کی ہےاور یہی عقلمند بھی ہیں ۔

Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allah has guided, and those are people of understanding.
