And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful.
Aur uss halat ko yaad kero! Jab tum zamin mein qaleel thay kamzor shumar kiye jatay thay. Iss andeshay mein rehtay thay kay tum ko log noch khasot na len so Allah ney tum ko rehney ki jagah di aur tum ko apni nusrat say qooat di aur tum ko nafees nafees cheezen ata farmaeen takay tum shukar kero.
और याद करो जबकि तुम थोड़े थे और ज़मीन में कमज़ोर समझे जाते थे, डरते थे कि लोग अचानक तुमको उचक न लें, फिर अल्लाह ने तुमको रहने की जगह दी और अपनी मदद से तुम्हारी ताईद की और तुमको पाकीज़ा रोज़ी दी; ताकि तुम शुक्रगुज़ार बनो।
[Remember] when you were on the near side of the valley, and they were on the farther side, and the caravan was lower [in position] than you. If you had made an appointment [to meet], you would have missed the appointment. But [it was] so that Allah might accomplish a matter already destined - that those who perished [through disbelief] would perish upon evidence and those who lived [in faith] would live upon evidence; and indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
Jabkay tumharay pass walay kinaray per thay aur woh door walay kinaray per thay aur qafila tum say neechay tha. Agar tum aapas mein waday kertay to yaqeenan tum waqt moyyen per phonchney mein mukhtalif hojatay. Lekin Allah ko to aik kaam ker hi daalna tha jo muqarrar ho chuka tha takay jo halak ho zaleel per ( yani yaqeen jaan ker ) halak ho aur zinda rahey woh bhi daleel per ( haq pehchan ker ) zinda rahey. Be-shak Allah boht sunnay wala khoob jannay wala hai.
और जब तुम वादी के क़रीबी किनारे पर थे और वे दूर के किनारे पर और क़ाफ़िला तुम से नीचे की तरफ़ था और अगर तुम और वे वक़्त मुक़र्रर करते तो ज़रूर उस मुक़र्ररह मुद्दत के बारे में तुम में इख़्तिलाफ़ हो जाता, लेकिन जो हुआ वह इसलिए हुआ ताकि अल्लाह उस अम्र (बात) का फ़ैसला कर दे जिसको होकर रहना था; ताकि जिसको हलाक होना है वह रौशन दलील के साथ हलाक हो और जिसको ज़िंदगी हासिल करना है वह रौशन दलील के साथ ज़िंदा रहे, यक़ीनन अल्लाह सुनने वाला, जानने वाला है।
[Remember, O Muhammad], when Allah showed them to you in your dream as few; and if He had shown them to you as many, you [believers] would have lost courage and would have disputed in the matter [of whether to fight], but Allah saved [you from that]. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts.
Jabkay Allah Taalaa ney tujhay teray khuwab mein unn ki taadaad kum dikhaee agar inn ki ziyadti dikhata to tum buzdil hojatay aur iss kaam kay baray mein aapas mein ikhtilaaf kertay lekin Allah Taalaa ney bacha liya woh dilon kay bhedon say khoob aagah hai.
जब अल्लाह आपके ख़्वाब में उनको थोड़े दिखाता रहा, अगर वह तुम्हें उनको ज़्यादा दिखा देता तो तुम लोग हिम्मत हार जाते और आपस में झगड़ने लगते उस मामले में लेकिन अल्लाह ने तुमको बचा लिया, यक़ीनन वह दिलों तक का हाल जानता है।
[Remember] when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said, "Their religion has deluded those [Muslims]." But whoever relies upon Allah - then indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
Jabkay munafiq keh rahey thay aur woh bhi jin kay dilon mein rog tha kay enhen to inn kay deen ney dhokay mein daal diya hai jo bhi Allah per bharosa keray Allah Taalaa bila shak-o-shuba ghalbay wala aur hikmat wala hai.
जब मुनाफ़िक़ और जिनके दिलों में रोग है कहते थे कि इन लोगों को उनके दीन ने धोखे में डाल दिया है, और जो अल्लाह पर भरोसा करे तो अल्लाह बड़ा ज़बरदस्त है, हिकमत वाला है।
And if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved... They are striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.
Kaash kay tu dekhta jabkay farishtay kafiron ki rooh qabz kertay hain unn kay mun aur sareenon per maar maartay hain ( aur kehtay hain ) tum jalney ka maza chakho.
और अगर आप देखते जबकि फ़रिश्ते उन मुनकिरीन की जान क़ब्ज़ करते हैं मारते हुए उनके चेहरों और उनकी पीठों पर और यह कहते हुए कि अब जलने का अज़ाब चखो।
Allah has already given you victory in many regions and [even] on the day of Hunayn, when your great number pleased you, but it did not avail you at all, and the earth was confining for you with its vastness; then you turned back, fleeing.
Yaqeenan Allah Taalaa ney boht say maidanon mein tumhen fatah di hai aur hunain ki laraee walay din bhi jabkay tumhen apni kasrat per naaz hogaya tha lekin uss ney tumhen koi faeeda na diya bulkay zamin bawajood apni kushadgi kay tum per tang hogaee phir tum peeth pher ker murr gaye.
बेशक अल्लाह ने बहुत-से मौक़ों पर तुम्हारी मदद की है और हुनैन के दिन भी जब तुम्हारी कसरत ने तुमको नाज़ में मुब्तला कर दिया था फिर वह तुम्हारे कुछ काम न आई और ज़मीन अपनी वुसअत के बावजूद तुम पर तंग हो गई, फिर तुम पीठ फेर कर भागे।
If you do not aid the Prophet - Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved had driven him out [of Makkah] as one of two, when they were in the cave and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." And Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him and supported him with angels you did not see and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowest, while the word of Allah - that is the highest. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
Agar tum inn ( nabi PBUH ) ki madad na kero yo Allah hi ney inn ki madad ki uss waqt jabkay enhen kafiron ney ( dess say ) nikal diya tha do mein say doosra jabkay woh dono ghaar mein thay jab yeh apney sathi say keh rahey thay kay ghum na ker Allah humaray sath hai pus janab-e-baari ney apni taraf say taskeen uss per nazil farma ker unn lashkaron say unn ki madad ki jinhen tum ney dekha hi nahi uss ney kafiron ki baat pust ker di aur buland-o-aziz to Allah ka kalma hi hai Allah ghalib hai hikmat wala hai.
अगर तुम रसूल की मदद न करोगे तो अल्लाह ख़ुद उसकी मदद कर चुका है जबकि काफ़िरों ने उसको निकाल दिया था, वह सिर्फ़ दो में का दूसरा था जब वे दोनों ग़ार में थे, जब वह अपने साथी से कह रहा था कि ग़म न करो बेशक अल्लाह हमारे साथ है, पस अल्लाह ने उस पर अपनी सकीनत नाज़िल फ़रमाई और उसकी मदद ऐसे लश्करों से की जो तुमको नज़र न आते थे और अल्लाह ने काफ़िरों की बात नीची कर दी, और अल्लाह की बात तो ऊँची है, और अल्लाह ज़बरदस्त है, हिकमत वाला है।

अगर तुम रसूल की मदद न करोगे तो अल्लाह ख़ुद उसकी मदद कर चुका है जबकि काफ़िरों ने उसको निकाल दिया था, वह सिर्फ़ दो में का दूसरा था जब वे दोनों ग़ार में थे, जब वह अपने साथी से कह रहा था कि ग़म न करो बेशक अल्लाह हमारे साथ है, पस अल्लाह ने उस पर अपनी सकीनत नाज़िल फ़रमाई और उसकी मदद ऐसे लश्करों से की जो तुमको नज़र न आते थे और अल्लाह ने काफ़िरों की बात नीची कर दी, और अल्लाह की बात तो ऊँची है, और अल्लाह ज़बरदस्त है, हिकमत वाला है।
And Allah would not let a people stray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things.
Aur Allah aisa nahi kerta kay kissi qom ko hidayat ker kay baad mein gumrah kerdey jab tak kay unn cheezon ko saaf saaf na batla dey jin say woh bachen be-shak Allah Taalaa her cheez ko khoob janta hai.
और अल्लाह किसी क़ौम को उसको हिदायत देने के बाद गुमराह नहीं करता जब तक उनको साफ़-साफ़ वे चीज़ें न बता दे जिनसे उन्हें बचना है, बेशक अल्लाह हर चीज़ का इल्म रखता है।
And, [O Muhammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter or recite any of the Qur'an and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.
Aur aap kissi haal mein hon aur munjmila inn ehwaal kay aap kahin say quran parhtay hon aur jo kaam bhi kertay hon hum ko sab ki khabar rehti hai jab tum uss kaam mein mashghool hotay ho. Aur aap kay rab say koi cheez zarra barabar bhi ghaeeb nahi na zamin mein aur na aasman mein aur na koi cheez uss say choti aur na koi cheez bari magar yeh sab kitab-e-mubin mein hai.
और तुम जिस हाल में भी हो और क़ुरआन में से जो हिस्सा भी सुना रहे हो और तुम लोग जो काम भी करते हो हम तुम्हारे ऊपर गवाह रहते हैं जिस वक़्त तुम उसमें मशग़ूल रहते हो, और आपके रब से ज़र्रा बराबर भी कोई चीज़ ग़ायब नहीं, न ज़मीन में और न आसमान में और न उससे छोटी और न बड़ी, मगर वह एक वाज़ेह किताब में (महफ़ूज़) है।
And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, "O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you - then I have relied upon Allah . So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite.
Aur aap inn ko nooh ( alh-e-salam ) ka qissa parh ker sunaiye jab kay unhon ney apni qom say farmaya kay aey meri qom! Agar tum ko mera rehna aur ehkaam-e-elahi ki naseehat kerna bhari maloom hota hai to mera to Allah hi per bharosa hai. Tum apni tadbeer maaye apney shurka kay pukhta kerlo phir tumhari tadbeer tumhari ghuttan ka baees nahi honi chahaiye. Aur phir meray sath ker guzro aur mujh ko mohlat na do.
और उनको नूह (अलै॰) का हाल सुनाइए जबकि उसने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि ऐ मेरी क़ौम अगर मेरा खड़ा होना और अल्लाह की आयतों के ज़रिए नसीहत करना तुम पर भारी हो गया है तो मैंने अल्लाह पर भरोसा किया, तुम सब मिलकर अपना फ़ैसला कर लो और अपने शरीकों को भी साथ ले लो, फिर तुमको अपने फ़ैसले में कोई शुब्हा बाक़ी न रहे फिर तुम लोग मेरे साथ जो करना चाहते हो कर गुज़रो और मुझको मोहलत न दो।
[Of these stories mention] when Joseph said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have seen [in a dream] eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me."
Jab kay yousuf ney apney baap say ziker kiya kay abba jaan mein ney giyara sitaron ko aur sooraj chand ko dekha kay woh sab mujhay sajda ker rahey hain.
जब यूसुफ़ (अलै॰) ने अपने वालिद से कहा कि अब्बा जान! मैंने ख़्वाब में ग्यारह सितारे और सूरज और चाँद देखे हैं, मैंने उनको देखा कि वे मुझको सज्दा कर रहे हैं।
When they said, "Joseph and his brother are more beloved to our father than we, while we are a clan. Indeed, our father is in clear error.
Jabkay unhon ney kaha kay yousuf aur uss ka bhai ba-nisbat humaray baap ko boht ziyada piyaray hain halankay hum ( taqatwar ) jamat hain koi shak nahi kay humaray abba sareeh ghalati mein hain.
जब उसके भाइयों ने आपस में कहा कि यूसुफ़ और उसका भाई हमारे वालिद को हमसे ज़्यादा महबूब हैं; हालाँकि हम एक पूरी जमात हैं, यक़ीनन हमारे वालिद एक खुली हुई ग़लती में मुब्तला हैं।
Said [the king to the women], "What was your condition when you sought to seduce Joseph?" They said, "Perfect is Allah ! We know about him no evil." The wife of al-'Azeez said, "Now the truth has become evident. It was I who sought to seduce him, and indeed, he is of the truthful.
Badshah ney poocha aey aurto! Uss waqt ka sahih waqiya kiya hai jab tum dao fareb kerkay yousuf ko uss ki dili manshah say behkana chahati thi unhon ney saaf jawab diya kay maaz Allah hum ney yousuf mein koi buraee nahi paee phir to aziz ki biwi bhi bol uthi kay abb to sachi baat nithar aaee. Mein ney hi ussay warghalaya tha uss kay ji say aur yaqeenan woh sachon mein say hai.
बादशाह ने पूछाः तुम्हारा क्या माजरा है जब तुमने यूसुफ़ को फुसलाने की कोशिश की थी, उन्होंने कहाः हाशा-लिल्लाह! (अल्लाह की पनाह) हमने उसमें कुछ बुराई नहीं पाई, अज़ीज़ की बीवी ने कहा कि अब हक़ खुल गया, मैंने ही उसको फुसलाने की कोशिश की थी और वह यक़ीनन सच्चा है।
He said, "Do you know what you did with Joseph and his brother when you were ignorant?"
Yousuf ney kaha kay jantay bhi ho kay tum ney yousuf aur uss kay bhai kay sath apni nadani ki halat mein kiya kiya?
उसने कहाः क्या तुमको ख़बर है कि तुमने यूसुफ़ और उसके भाई के साथ क्या किया जबकि तुमको समझ न थी?
And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed to him in prostration. And he said, "O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise.
Aur apney takht per apney maa baap ko ooncha bithaya aur sab uss kay samney sajday mein girr gaye. Tab kaha kay abba ji! Yeh meray pehlay kay khuwab ki tabeer hai meray rab ney ussay sacha ker dikhaya uss ney meray sath bara ehsan kiya jab kay mujhay jail khaney say nikala aur aap logon ko sehra say ley aaya uss ikhtilaaf kay baad jo shetan ney mujh mein aur meray bhaiyon mein daal diya tha. Mera rab jo chahaye uss kay liye behtareen tadbeer kerney wala hai. Aur woh boht ilm-o-hikmat wala hai.
और उसने अपने वालिदैन को तख़्त पर बिठाया और सब उसके लिए सज्दे में झुक गए, और यूसुफ़ (अलै॰) ने कहाः ऐ अब्बा जान! यह है मेरे ख़्वाब की ताबीर जो मैंने पहले देखा था, मेरे रब ने उसको सच्चा कर दिया और उसने मेरे साथ एहसान किया कि उसने मुझे क़ैद से निकाला और तुम सबको देहात से यहाँ लाया बाद में इसके कि शैतान ने मेरे और मेरे भाइयों के दरमियान फ़साद डाल दिया था, बेशक मेरा रब जो कुछ चाहता है उसकी उम्दा तदबीर कर लेता है, यक़ीनन वही जानने वाला, हिकमत वाला है।
That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal, [O Muhammad], to you. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired.
Yeh ghaib ki khabron mein say hai jiss ki hum aap ki taraf wahee ker rahey hain. Aap unn kay pass na thay jab kay unhon ney apni baat thaan li thi aur woh fareb kerney lagay thay.
यह ग़ैब की ख़बरों में से है जो आप पर वह्य कर रहे हैं, और आप उस वक़्त उनके पास मौजूद न थे जब यूसुफ़ के भाइयों ने अपना इरादा पक्का किया और वे तदबीरें कर रहे थे।
And [recall, O Children of Israel], when Moses said to His people, "Remember the favor of Allah upon you when He saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst torment and were slaughtering your [newborn] sons and keeping your females alive. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
Jiss waqt musa ney apni qom say kaha kay Allah kay woh ehsanaat yaad kero jo uss ney tum per kiye hain jabkay uss ney tumhen firaoniyon say nijat di jo tumhen baray dukh phonchatay thay. Tumharay larkon ko qatal kertay thay aut tumhari larkiyon ko zinda chortay thay iss mein tumharay rab ki taraf say tum per boht bari aamaeesh thi.
और जब मूसा (अलै॰) ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि अपने ऊपर अल्लाह के उस ईनाम को याद करो जबकि उसने तुमको फ़िरऔन की क़ौम से छुड़ाया जो तुमको सख़्त तकलीफ़ें पहुँचाते थे और वह तुम्हारे बेटों को मार डालते थे और तुम्हारी औरतों को ज़िंदा रहने देते थे, और उसमें तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से बड़ा इम्तिहान था।
When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you."
Kay jab unhon ney unn kay pass aaker salam kiya to unhon ney kaha kay hum ko tum say darr lagta hai.
जब वे उसके पास आए फिर उन्होंने सलाम किया, इब्राहीम (अलै॰) ने कहा कि हमें तो तुम से डर लग रहा है।
We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
Jiss gharz say woh log issay suntay hain unn ( ki niyaton ) say hum khoob aagah hain jab yeh aap ki taraf kaan lagaye huye hotay hain tab bhi aur yeh mashwara kertay hain tab bhi jab kay zalim kehtay hain kay tum uss ki tabeydaari mein lagay huye ho jin per jadoo ker diya gaya hai.
हम जानते हैं कि जब वे आपकी तरफ़ कान लगाते हैं तो वे किस लिए सुनते हैं और जबकि वे आपस में कानाफूसी करते हैं ये ज़ालिम लोग कहते हैं कि तुम लोग बस एक जादू किए हुए इंसान के पीछे चल रहे हो।
We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
Jiss gharz say woh log issay suntay hain unn ( ki niyaton ) say hum khoob aagah hain jab yeh aap ki taraf kaan lagaye huye hotay hain tab bhi aur yeh mashwara kertay hain tab bhi jab kay zalim kehtay hain kay tum uss ki tabeydaari mein lagay huye ho jin per jadoo ker diya gaya hai.
हम जानते हैं कि जब वे आपकी तरफ़ कान लगाते हैं तो वे किस लिए सुनते हैं और जबकि वे आपस में कानाफूसी करते हैं ये ज़ालिम लोग कहते हैं कि तुम लोग बस एक जादू किए हुए इंसान के पीछे चल रहे हो।
And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them except that they said, "Has Allah sent a human messenger?"
Logon kay pass hidayat phonch chukney kay baad eman say rokney wali sirf yehi cheez rahi kay unhon ney kaha kiya Allah ney aik insan ko hi rasool bana ker bheja?
लोगों को जबकि उन के पास मार्गदर्शन आया तो उन को ईमान लाने से केवल यही चीज़ रुकावट बनी कि वे कहने लगे, "क्या अल्लाह ने एक मनुष्य को रसूल बनाकर भेज दिया?"
And We had certainly given Moses nine evident signs, so ask the Children of Israel [about] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, "Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are affected by magic."
Hum ney musa ko no moajzzay bilkul saaf saaf ata farmaye tu khud hi bani isaeel say pooch ley kay jab woh inn kay pass phonchay to firaon bola kay aey musa! Meray khayal mein to tujh per jadoo ker diya gaya hai.
हम ने मूसा को नौ खुली निशानियाँ प्रदान की थी। अब इसराईल की सन्तान से पूछ लो कि जब वह उन के पास आया और फ़िरऔन ने उस से कहा, "ऐ मूसा! मैं तो तुम्हें बड़ा जादूगर समझता हूँ।"
[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."
Unn chand no-jawano ney jab ghaar mein panah li to dua ki kay aey humaray perwerdigar! Humen apney pass say rehmat ata farma aur humaray kaam mein humaray liye raah yabi ko aasan ker dey.
जब उन नवयुवकों ने गुफ़ा में जाकर शरण ली तो कहा, "हमारे रब! हमें अपने यहाँ से दयालुता प्रदान कर और हमारे लिए हमारे अपने मामले को ठीक कर दे।"
And We made firm their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression.
Hum ney unn kay dil mazboot ker diye thay jabkay yeh uth kharay huye aur kehney lagay kay humara perwerdigar to wohi hai jo aasman-o-zamin ka perwerdigar hai na mumkin hai kay hum uss kay siwa kissi aur mabood ko pukaren agar aisa kiya to hum ney nihayat hi ghalat baat kahi.
और हम ने उन के दिलों को सुदृढ़ कर दिया। जब वे उठे तो उन्होंने कहा, "हमारा रब तो वही है जो आकाशों और धरती का रब है। हम उस से इतर किसी अन्य पूज्य को कदापि न पुकारेंगे। यदि हम ने ऐसा किया तब तो हमारी बात हक़ से बहुत हटी हुई होगी
And similarly, We caused them to be found that they [who found them] would know that the promise of Allah is truth and that of the Hour there is no doubt. [That was] when they disputed among themselves about their affair and [then] said, "Construct over them a structure. Their Lord is most knowing about them." Said those who prevailed in the matter, "We will surely take [for ourselves] over them a masjid."
Hum ney iss tarah logon ko unn kay haal say aagah ker diya kay woh jaan len kay Allah ka wada bilkul sacha hai aur qayamat mein koi shuba nahi. Jabkay woh apney amar mein aapas mein ikhtilaf ker rahey thay kehney lagay inn kay ghaar per aik emaarat bana lo. Unn ka rab hi unn kay haal ka ziyada aalim hai. Jin logon ney unn kay baray mein ghalba paya woh kehney lagay kay hum to inn kay aas pass masjod bana len gay.
इस तरह हम ने लोगों को उन की सूचना दे दी, ताकि वे जान लें कि अल्लाह का वादा सच्चा है और यह कि क़ियामत की घड़ी में कोई सन्देह नहीं है। वह समय भी उल्लेखनीय है जब वे आपस में उन के मामले में छीन-झपट कर रहे थे। फिर उन्होंने कहा, "उन पर एक भवन बना दे। उन का रब उन्हें भली-भाँति जानता है।" और जो लोग उन के मामले में प्रभावी रहे उन्होंने कहा, "हम तो उन पर अवश्य एक उपासना गृह बनाएँगे।"
And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah '? Although you see me less than you in wealth and children,
Tu ney apney baagh mein jatay waqt kiyon na kaha kay Allah ka chaha honey wala hai koi taqat nahi magar Allah ki madad say agar tu mujhay maal-o-aulad mein apney say kam dekh raha hai.
और ऐसा क्यों न हुआ कि जब तूने अपने बाग़ में प्रवेश किया तो कहता, 'जो अल्लाह चाहे, बिना अल्लाह के कोई शक्ति नहीं?' यदि तू देखता है कि मैं धन और संतति में तुझसे कम हूँ,
And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness of their Lord except that there [must] befall them the [accustomed] precedent of the former peoples or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.
Logon kay pass hidayat aa chukney ka baad unhen eman laney aur apney rab say isataghfaar kerney say sirf issi cheez ney roka kay aglay logon ka sa moamla unhen bhi paish aaye ye unn kay samney khullam khulla azab aa mojood hojaye.
आख़िर लोगों को, जबकि उन के पास मार्गदर्शन आ गया, तो इस बात से कि वे ईमान लाते और अपने रब से क्षमा चाहते, इस के सिवा किसी चीज़ ने नहीं रोका कि उन के लिए वही कुछ सामने आए जो पूर्व जनों के सामने आ चुका है, यहाँ तक कि यातना उन के सामने आ खड़ी हो
He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly".
Uss ney jawab diya kay kiya aap ney dekha bhi? Jabkay hum pathar say take laga ker aaram ker rahey thay wahin mein machli bhool gaya tha dar-asal shetan ney hi mujhay bhula diya kay mein aap say iss ka zikar keroon. Uss machli ney aik anokhay tor per darya mein apna raasta bana liya.
उस ने कहा, "ज़रा देखिए तो सही, जब हम उस चट्टान के पास ठहरे हुए थे तो मैं मछली को भूल ही गया - और शैतान ही ने उसको याद रखने से मुझे ग़ाफ़िल कर दिया - और उस ने आश्चर्य रूप से दरिया में अपनी राह ली।"
When he called to his Lord a private supplication.
Jabkay uss ney apney rab say chupkay chupkay dua ki thi.
जबकि उस ने अपने रब को चुपके से पुकारा
And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.
To unhen uss ranj-o-afsos kay din ka darr suna dey jabkay kaam anjam ko phoncha diya jayega aur yeh log ghaflat aur bey emani mein hi reh jayengay.
उन्हें पश्चाताप के दिन से डराओ, जबकि मामले का फ़ैसला कर दिया जाएगा, और उन का हाल यह है कि वे ग़फ़लत में पड़े हुए हैं और वे ईमान नहीं ला रहे हैं
[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?
Jabkay unhon ney apney baap say kaha kay abba jaan! Aap inn ki pooja paat kiyon ker rahey hain jo na sunen na dekhen? Na aap ko kuch bhi faeeda phoncha saken.
जबकि उस ने अपने बाप से कहा, "ऐ मेरे बाप! आप उस चीज़ को क्यों पूजते हो, जो न सुने और न देखे और न आप के कुछ काम आए?
When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance."
Jabkay uss ney aag dekh ker apney ghar walon say kaha kay tum zara si dare thehar jao mujhay aag dikhaee di hai. Boht mumkin hai kay mein iss ka koi angara tumharay pass laon yaa aag kay pass say rastay ki itlaa paon.
जबकि उस ने एक आग देखी तो उस ने अपने घर वालों से कहा, "ठहरो! मैंने एक आग देखी है। शायद कि तुम्हारे लिए उस में से कोई अंगारा ले आऊँ या उस आग पर मैं मार्ग का पता पा लूँ।"
When We inspired to your mother what We inspired,
Jabkay hum ney teri maa ko woh elhaam kiya jiss ka zikar abb kiya jaa raha hai.
जब हम ने तेरी माँ के दिल में यह बात डाली थी, जो अब प्रकाशना की जा रही है,
[And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses.
( yaad ker ) jabkay teri behan chal rahi thi aur keh rahi thi kay agar tum kaho to mein ussay bata doon jo uss ki nigehbani keray iss tadbeer say hum ney tujhay phir teri maa kay pass phonchaya kay uss ki aankhen thandi rahen aur woh ghumgeen na ho. Aur tu ney aik shaks ko maar dala tha iss per hum ney tujhay ghum say bacha liya gharz hum ney tujhay achi tarah aazma liya. Phir tu kaee saal tak madiyan kay logon mein thehra raha phir taqdeer-e-elahee kay mutabiq aey musa! Tu aaya.
याद कर जबकि तेरी बहन जाती और कहती थी, क्या मैं तुम्हें उस का पता बता दूँ जो इस का पालन-पोषण अपने ज़िम्मे ले ले? इस प्रकार हम ने फिर तुझे तेरी माँ के पास पहुँचा दिया, ताकि उस की आँख ठंड़ी हो और वह शोकाकुल न हो। और हम ने तुझे भली-भाँति परखा। फिर तू कई वर्ष मदयन के लोगों में ठहरा रहा। फिर ऐ मूसा! तू ख़ास समय पर आ गया है
[Moses] said, "O Aaron, what prevented you, when you saw them going astray,
Musa ( alh-e-salam ) kehnay lagay aey musa haroon! Enhen gumrah hotay hua dekhtay huye tujhay kiss cheez ney roka tha.
उस ने कहा, "ऐ हारून! जब तुम ने देखा कि ये पथभ्रष्ट हो गए हैं, तो किस चीज़ ने तुम्हें रोका
We are most knowing of what they say when the best of them in manner will say, "You remained not but one day."
Jo kuch woh keh rahey hain uss ki haqeeqat say hum ba-khabar hain inn mein say sab say ziyada acha raah wala keh raha hoga kay tum to sirf aik hi din rahey.
हम भली-भाँति जानते हैं जो कुछ वे कहेंगे, जबकि उन का सबसे अच्छी सम्मतिवाला कहेगा, "तुम तो बस एक ही दिन ठहरे हो।"
When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"
Jabkay uss ney apney baap say aur pani qom say kaha kay yeh moortiyan jin kay tum mujawar bann bethay ho kiya hain?
जब उस ने अपने बाप और अपनी क़ौम से कहा, "ये मूर्तियाँ क्या है, जिनसे तुम लगे बैठे हो?"
And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah ] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood.
Nooh kay uss waqt ko yaad kijiye jabkay uss ney iss say pehlay dua ki hum ney uss ki dua qabool farmaee aur ussay aur uss kay ghar walon ko baray karb say nijat di.
और नूह की भी चर्चा करो, जबकि उस ने इस से पहले हमें पुकारा था, तो हम ने उस की सुन ली और हम ने उसे और उस के लोगों को बड़े क्लेश से छुटकारा दिया
And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
Aur dawood ( alh-e-salam ) aur suleman ( alh-e-salam ) ko yaad kijiye jabkay woh khet kay moamlay mein faisla ker rahey thay kay kuch logon ki bakriyan raat ko iss mein char chug gaee thin aur unn kay faislay mein hum mojood thay.
और दाऊद और सुलैमान पर भी हम ने कृपा-स्पष्ट की। याद करो जबकि वे दोनों खेती के एक झगड़े का निबटारा कर रहे थे, जब रात को कुछ लोगों की बकरियाँ उसे रौंद गई थीं। और उन का (क़ौम के लोगों का) फ़ैसला हमारे सामने था
And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.
Aur dawood ( alh-e-salam ) aur suleman ( alh-e-salam ) ko yaad kijiye jabkay woh khet kay moamlay mein faisla ker rahey thay kay kuch logon ki bakriyan raat ko iss mein char chug gaee thin aur unn kay faislay mein hum mojood thay.
और दाऊद और सुलैमान पर भी हम ने कृपा-स्पष्ट की। याद करो जबकि वे दोनों खेती के एक झगड़े का निबटारा कर रहे थे, जब रात को कुछ लोगों की बकरियाँ उसे रौंद गई थीं। और उन का (क़ौम के लोगों का) फ़ैसला हमारे सामने था
And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."
Ayub ( alh-e-salam ) ki uss halat ko yaad kero jabkay uss ney apney perwerdigar ko pukara kay mujhay yeh beemari lag gaee hai aur tu reham kerney walon say ziyada reham kerney wala hai.
और अय्यूब पर भी दया दर्शाई। याद करो जबकि उस ने अपने रब को पुकारा कि "मुझे बहुत तकलीफ़ पहुँची है, और तू सबसे बढ़कर दयावान है।"
And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
Machli walay ( hazrat younus alh-e-salam ) ko yaad kero! Jabkay woh gussay say chal diya aur khayal kiya kay hum ussay na pakar saken gay. Bil-aakhir woh andheron kay andar say pukar utha kay elahee teray siwa koi mabood nahi tu pak hai be-shak mein zalimon mein say tha.
और ज़ुन्नून (मछली वाले) पर भी दया दर्शाई। याद करो जबकि वह अत्यन्त क्रद्ध होकर चल दिया और समझा कि हम उसे तंगी में न डालेंगे। अन्त में उस नें अँधेरों में पुकारा, "तेरे सिवा कोई इष्ट-पूज्य नहीं, महिमावान है तू! निस्संदेह मैं दोषी हूँ।"
And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the best of inheritors."
Aur zakariya ( alh-e-salam ) ko yaad kero jab uss ney apney rab say dua ki aey meray perwerdigar! Mujhay tanah na chor tu sab say behtar waris hai.
और ज़करिया पर भी कृपा की। याद करो जबकि उस ने अपने रब को पुकारा, "ऐ मेरे रब! मुझे अकेला न छोड़ यूँ, सबसे अच्छा वारिस तो तू ही है।"
Why, when you heard it, did not the believing men and believing women think good of one another and say, "This is an obvious falsehood"?
Issay suntay hi momin mard-o-aurton ney apnay haq mein nek gumani kiyon na ki aur kiyon na keh diya kay yeh to khullam khulla sareeh bohtan hai.
ऐसा क्यों न हुआ कि जब तुम लोगों ने उसे सुना था, तब मोमिन पुरुष और मोमिन स्त्रियाँ अपने आप से अच्छा गुमान करते और कहते कि "यह तो खुली तोहमत है?"
When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah , tremendous.
Jabkay tum issay apni zabano say naqal dar naqal kerney lagay aur apnay mun say woh baat nikalney lagay jiss ki tumhen mutlaq khabar na thi go tum issay halki baat samajhtay rahey lekin Allah Taalaa kay nazdeek woh boht bari baat thi.
सोचो, जब तुम एक-दूसरे से उस (झूठ) को अपनी ज़बानों पर लेते जा रहे थे और तुम अपने मुँह से वह कुछ कहे जा रहे थे, जिस के विषय में तुम्हें कोई ज्ञान न था और तुम उसे एक साधारण बात समझ रहे थे; हालाँकि अल्लाह के निकट वह एक भारी बात थी
And why, when you heard it, did you not say, "It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, [O Allah ]; this is a great slander"?
Tum ney aisi baat ko suntay hi kiyon na keh diya kay humen aisi baat mun say nikalni bhi laeeq nahi. Ya-Allah! Tu pak hai yeh to boht bara bohtan hai aur tohmat hai.
और ऐसा क्यों न हुआ कि जब तुम ने उसे सुना था तो कह देते, "हमारे लिए उचित नहीं कि हम ऐसी बात ज़बान पर लाएँ। महान और उच्च है तू (अल्लाह)! यह तो एक बड़ी तोहमत है?"
He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
Iss ney to mujhay iss kay baad gumrah ker diya kay naseehat meray pass aa phonci thi aur shetan to insan ko ( waqt per ) dagha denay wala hai.
उस ने मुझे भटकाकर अनुस्मृति से विमुख कर दिया, इस के पश्चात कि वह मेरे पास आ चुकी थी। शैतान तो समय पर मनुष्य का साथ छोड़ ही देता है।"
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
Jabkay unhon ney apnay baap aur pani qom say farmaya kay tum kiss ki ibadat kertay ho?
जबकि उस ने अपने बाप और अपनी क़ौंम के लोगों से कहा, "तुम क्या पूजते हो?"
