الفاظ ( سَبِيْلِ )

اور اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ کے شہیدوں کو مردہ مت کہو وہ زندہ ہیں ، لیکن تم نہیں سمجھتے ۔

And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah , "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.

لڑو اللہ کی راہ میں اُن سے جو تم سے لڑتے ہیں اور زیادتی نہ کرو ، اللہ تعالٰی زیادتی کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتا ۔

Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.

اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں خرچ کرو اور اپنے ہاتھوں ہلاکت میں نہ پڑو اور سلوک و احسان کرو اللہ تعالٰی احسان کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے ۔

And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.

لوگ آپ سے حرمت والے مہینوں میں لڑائی کی بابت سوال کرتے ہیں ، آپ کہہ دیجیئے کہ ان میں لڑائی کرنا بڑاگناہ ہے ، لیکن اللہ کی راہ سے روکنا اس کے ساتھ کفر کرنا اور مسجد حرام سے روکنا اور وہاں کے رہنے والوں کو وہاں سے نکالنا ، اللہ کے نزدیک اس سے بھی بڑا گناہ ہے یہ فتنہ قتل سے بھی بڑا گناہ ہے یہ لوگ تم سے لڑائی بھڑائی کرتے ہی رہیں گے یہاں تک کہ اگر ان سے ہو سکے تو تمہیں تمہارے دین سے مرتد کر دیں اور تم میں سے جو لوگ اپنے دین سے پلٹ جائیں اور اسی کفر کی حالت میں مریں ، ان کے اعمال دنیاوی اور اخروی سب غارت ہوجائیں گے ۔ یہ لوگ جہنمی ہوں گے اور ہمیشہ ہمیشہ جہنم میں ہی رہیں گے ۔

They ask you about the sacred month - about fighting therein. Say, "Fighting therein is great [sin], but averting [people] from the way of Allah and disbelief in Him and [preventing access to] al-Masjid al-Haram and the expulsion of its people therefrom are greater [evil] in the sight of Allah . And fitnah is greater than killing." And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And whoever of you reverts from his religion [to disbelief] and dies while he is a disbeliever - for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire, they will abide therein eternally.

البتہ ایمان لانے والے ، ہجرت کرنے والے ، اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرنے والے ہی رحمت الٰہی کے امیدوار ہیں ، اللہ تعالٰی بہت بخشنے والا اور بہت مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

Indeed, those who have believed and those who have emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah - those expect the mercy of Allah . And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرو اور جان لو کہ اللہ تعالٰی سنتا ، جانتا ہے ۔

And fight in the cause of Allah and know that Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

کیا آپ نے ( حضرت ) موسیٰ کے بعد والی بنی اسرائیل کی جماعت کو نہیں دیکھا جب کہ انہوں نے اپنے پیغمبر سے کہا کہ کسی کو ہمارا بادشاہ بنا دیجئے تاکہ ہم اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کریں ۔ پیغمبر نے کہا کہ ممکن ہے جہاد فرض ہو جانے کے بعد تم جہاد نہ کرو ، انہوں نے کہا بھلا ہم اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیوں نہ کریں گے؟ہم تو اپنے گھروں سے اجاڑے گئے ہیں اور بچوں سے دور کر دیئے گئے ہیں ۔ پھر جب ان پر جہاد فرض ہوا تو سوائے تھوڑے سے لوگوں کے سب پھر گئے اور اللہ تعالٰی ظالموں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

Have you not considered the assembly of the Children of Israel after [the time of] Moses when they said to a prophet of theirs, "Send to us a king, and we will fight in the way of Allah "? He said, "Would you perhaps refrain from fighting if fighting was prescribed for you?" They said, "And why should we not fight in the cause of Allah when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?" But when fighting was prescribed for them, they turned away, except for a few of them. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.

کیا آپ نے ( حضرت ) موسیٰ کے بعد والی بنی اسرائیل کی جماعت کو نہیں دیکھا جب کہ انہوں نے اپنے پیغمبر سے کہا کہ کسی کو ہمارا بادشاہ بنا دیجئے تاکہ ہم اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کریں ۔ پیغمبر نے کہا کہ ممکن ہے جہاد فرض ہو جانے کے بعد تم جہاد نہ کرو ، انہوں نے کہا بھلا ہم اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیوں نہ کریں گے؟ہم تو اپنے گھروں سے اجاڑے گئے ہیں اور بچوں سے دور کر دیئے گئے ہیں ۔ پھر جب ان پر جہاد فرض ہوا تو سوائے تھوڑے سے لوگوں کے سب پھر گئے اور اللہ تعالٰی ظالموں کو خوب جانتا ہے ۔

Have you not considered the assembly of the Children of Israel after [the time of] Moses when they said to a prophet of theirs, "Send to us a king, and we will fight in the way of Allah "? He said, "Would you perhaps refrain from fighting if fighting was prescribed for you?" They said, "And why should we not fight in the cause of Allah when we have been driven out from our homes and from our children?" جو لوگ اپنا مال اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں اس کی مثال اس دانے جیسی ہے جس میں سے سات بالیاں نکلیں اور ہر بالی میں سو دانے ہوں اور اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے بڑھا چڑھا کر دے اور اللہ تعالٰی کشادگی والا اور علم والا ہے ۔

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

جو لوگ اپنا مال اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں خرچ کرتے ہیں پھر اس کے بعد نہ تو احسان جتاتے ہیں اور نہ ایذا دیتے ہیں ، ان کا اجر ان کے رب کے پاس ہے ان پر نہ تو کچھ خوف ہے نہ وہ اداس ہونگے ۔

Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders [of it] or [other] injury will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.

صدقات کے مستحق صرف وہ غُربا ہیں جو اللہ کی راہ میں روک دیئے گئے جو ملک میں چل پھر نہیں سکتے نادان لوگ ان کی بے سوالی کی وجہ سے انہیں مالدار خیال کرتے ہیں ، آپ ان کے چہرے دیکھ کر قیافہ سے انہیں پہچان لیں گے وہ لوگوں سے چمٹ کر سوال نہیں کرتے تم جو کچھ مال خرچ کرو تو اللہ تعالٰی اس کا جاننے والا ہے ۔

[Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah , unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.

یقیناً تمہارے لئے عبرت کی نشانی تھی ان دو جماعتوں میں جو گتھ گئی تھیں ، ایک جماعت تو اللہ کی راہ میں لڑ رہی تھی اور دوسرا گروہ کافروں کا تھا وہ انہیں اپنی آنکھوں سے اپنے سے دوگنا دیکھتے تھے اور اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے اپنی مدد سے قوی کرتا ہے یقیناً اس میں آنکھوں والوں کے لئے بڑی عبرت ہے ۔

Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

ان اہلِ کتاب سے کہو کہ تم اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ سے لوگوں کو کیوں روکتے ہو؟ اور اس میں عیب ٹٹولتے ہو ، حالانکہ تم خود شاہد ہو ، اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے اعمال سے بے خبر نہیں ۔

Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you avert from the way of Allah those who believe, seeking to make it [seem] deviant, while you are witnesses [to the truth]? And Allah is not unaware of what you do."

بہت سے نبیوں کے ہم رکاب ہو کر ، بہت سے اللہ والے جہاد کرچکے ہیں ، انہیں بھی اللہ کی راہ میں تکلیفیں پہنچیں لیکن نہ تو انہوں نے ہّمت ہاری اور نہ سست رہے اور نہ دبے ، اوراللہ صبر کرنے والوں کو ( ہی ) چاہتا ہے ۔

And how many a prophet [fought and] with him fought many religious scholars. But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah , nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves the steadfast.

قسم ہے اگر اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں شہید کئے جاؤ یا اپنی موت مرو تو بیشک اللہ تعالٰی کی بخشش ورحمت اس سے بہتر ہے جسے یہ جمع کر رہے ہیں

And if you are killed in the cause of Allah or die - then forgiveness from Allah and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world].

اور منافقوں کو بھی معلوم کرلے جن سے کہا گیا کہ آؤ اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرو ، یا کافروں کو ہٹاؤ ، تو وہ کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم لڑائی جانتے ہوتے تو ضرور ساتھ دیتے ، وہ اس دن بہ نسبت ایمان کے کُفر سے بہت قریب تھے ، اپنے منہ سے وہ باتیں بناتے ہیں جو ان کے دِلوں میں نہیں ، اور اللہ تعالٰی خوب جانتا ہے جسے وہ چھپاتے ہیں ۔

And that He might make evident those who are hypocrites. For it was said to them, "Come, fight in the way of Allah or [at least] defend." They said, "If we had known [there would be] fighting, we would have followed you." They were nearer to disbelief that day than to faith, saying with their mouths what was not in their hearts. And Allah is most Knowing of what they conceal -

جو لوگ اللہ کی راہ میں شہید کئے گئے ہیں ان کو ہرگِز مُردہ نہ سمجھیں ، بلکہ وہ زندہ ہیں اپنے رب کے پاس روزیاں دیئے جاتے ہیں ۔

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,

پس جو لوگ دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت کے بدلے بیچ چکے ہیں ، انہیں اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا چاہیے اور جو شخص اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتے ہوئے شہادت پالے یا غالب آ جائے یقیناً ہم اسے بہت بڑا ثواب عنایت فرمائیں گے ۔

So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.

پس جو لوگ دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت کے بدلے بیچ چکے ہیں ، انہیں اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا چاہیے اور جو شخص اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتے ہوئے شہادت پالے یا غالب آ جائے یقیناً ہم اسے بہت بڑا ثواب عنایت فرمائیں گے ۔

So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.

بھلا کیا وجہ ہے کہ تم اللہ کی راہ میں اور ان ناتواں مردوں عورتوں اور ننھے ننھے بچوں کے چھٹکارے کے لئے جہاد نہ کرو؟ جو یُوں دعائیں مانگ رہے ہیں کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ان ظالموں کی بستی سے ہمیں نجات دے اور ہمارے لئے خاص اپنے پاس سے حمایتی مُقّرر کر دے اور ہمارے لئے خاص اپنے پاس سے مددگار بنا ۔

And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?"

جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں وہ تو اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتے ہیں اور جن لوگوں نے کفر کیاہے ، وہ اللہ تعالٰی کے سوا اوروں کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں ۔ پس تم شیطان کے دوستوں سے جنگ کرو ، یقین مانو کہ شیطانی حیلہ ( بالکل بُودا اور ) سخت کمزور ہے ۔

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah , and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.

جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں وہ تو اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتے ہیں اور جن لوگوں نے کفر کیاہے ، وہ اللہ تعالٰی کے سوا اوروں کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں ۔ پس تم شیطان کے دوستوں سے جنگ کرو ، یقین مانو کہ شیطانی حیلہ ( بالکل بُودا اور ) سخت کمزور ہے ۔

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah , and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.

تُو اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتا رہ تجھے صرف تیری ذات کی نسبت حکم دیا جاتا ہے ہاں ایمان والوں کو رغبت دلاتا رہ بہت ممکن ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی کافروں کی جنگ کو روک دے اور اللہ تعالٰی سخت قوّت والا ہے اور سزا دینے میں بھی سخت ہے ۔

So fight, [O Muhammad], in the cause of Allah ; you are not held responsible except for yourself. And encourage the believers [to join you] that perhaps Allah will restrain the [military] might of those who disbelieve. And Allah is greater in might and stronger in [exemplary] punishment.

ان کی تو چاہت ہے کہ جس طرح کے کافر وہ ہیں تم بھی ان کی طرح کُفر کرنے لگو اور پھر سب یکساں ہو جاؤ پس جب تک یہ اسلام کی خاطر وطن نہ چھوڑیں ان میں سے کسی کو حقیقی دوست نہ بناؤ پھر اگر یہ مُنہ پھیر لیں تو انہیں پکڑو اور قتل کرو جہاں بھی یہ ہاتھ لگ جائیں ، خبردار !ان میں سے کسی کو اپنا رفیق اور مددگار نہ سمجھ بیٹھنا ۔

They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah . But if they turn away, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them and take not from among them any ally or helper.

اے ایمان والو! جب تم اللہ کی راہ میں جا رہے ہو تو تحقیق کر لیا کرو اور جو تم سے سلام علیک کرے تم اسے یہ نہ کہہ دو کہ تو ایمان والا نہیں ۔ تم دنیاوی زندگی کے اسباب کی تلاش میں ہو تو اللہ تعالٰی کے پاس بہت سی غنیمتیں ہیں ، پہلے تم بھی ایسے ہی تھے ، پھر اللہ تعالٰی نے تم پر احسان کیا لہذا تم ضرور تحقیق اور تفتیش کر لیا کرو بیشک اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے اعمال سے باخبر ہے ۔

O you who have believed, when you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah , investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for with Allah are many acquisitions. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.

اپنی جانوں اور مالوں سے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرنے والے مومن اور بغیر عذر کے بیٹھے رہنے والے مومن برابر نہیں ، اپنے مالوں اور اپنی جانوں سے جہاد کرنے والوں کو بیٹھ رہنے والوں پر اللہ تعالٰی نے درجوں میں بہت فضیلت دے رکھی ہے اور یُوں تو اللہ تعالٰی نے ہر ایک کو خوبی اور اچھائی کا وعدہ دیا ہے ، لیکن مجاہدین کو بیٹھ رہنے والوں پر بہت بڑے اجر کی فضیلت دے رکھی ہے ۔

Not equal are those believers remaining [at home] - other than the disabled - and the mujahideen, [who strive and fight] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen through their wealth and their lives over those who remain [behind], by degrees. And to both Allah has promised the best [reward]. But Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who remain [behind] with a great reward -

جو کوئی اللہ کی راہ میں وطن کو چھوڑے گا وہ زمین میں بہت سی قیام کی جگہیں بھی پائے گا اور کشادگی بھی ، اور جو کوئی اپنے گھر سے اللہ تعالٰی اور اس کے رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کی طرف نکل کھڑا ہوا پھر اسے موت نے آ پکڑا تو بھی یقیناً اس کا اجر اللہ تعالٰی کے ذِمّہ ثابت ہوگیا اور اللہ تعالٰی بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance. And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him - his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah . And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

جو شخص باوجود راہ ہدایت کے واضح ہو جانے کے بھی رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے خلاف کرے اور تمام مومنوں کی راہ چھوڑ کر چلے ہم اسے ادھر ہی متوجہ کردیں گے جدھر وہ خود متوجہ ہو اور دوزخ میں ڈال دیں گے ، وہ پہنچنے کی بہت ہی بری جگہ ہے ۔

And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We will give him what he has taken and drive him into Hell, and evil it is as a destination.

جو نفیس چیزیں ان کے لئے حلال کی گئی تھیں وہ ہم نے ان پر حرام کر دیں ان کے ظلم کے باعث اور اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ سے اکثر لوگوں کو روکنے کے باعث

For wrongdoing on the part of the Jews, We made unlawful for them [certain] good foods which had been lawful to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many [people],

جن لوگوں نے کفر کیا اور اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ سے اوروں کو روکا وہ یقیناً گمراہی میں دور نکل گئے ۔

Indeed, those who disbelieve and avert [people] from the way of Allah have certainly gone far astray.

اے ایمان والو! تم میں سے جو شخص اپنے دین سے پھر جائے تو اللہ تعالٰی بہت جلد ایسی قوم کو لائے گا جو اللہ کی محبوب ہوگی اور وہ بھی اللہ سے محبت رکھتی ہوگی وہ نرم دل ہوں گے مسلمانوں پر اور سخت اور تیز ہو ں گے کفار پر ، اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کریں گے اور کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت کی پرواہ بھی نہ کریں گے یہ ہے اللہ تعالٰی کا فضل جسے چاہے دے ، اللہ تعالٰی بڑی وسعت والا اور زبردست علم والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah ; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

اور دنیا میں زیادہ لوگ ایسے ہیں کہ اگر آپ ان کا کہنا ماننے لگیں تو وہ آپ کو اللہ کی راہ سے بے راہ کر دیں وہ محض بے اصل خیالات پر چلتے ہیں اور بالکل قیاسی باتیں کرتے ہیں ۔

And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah . They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.

جو اللہ کی راہ سے اعراض کرتے تھے اور اس میں کجی تلاش کرتے تھے وہ لوگ آخرت کے بھی منکر تھے ۔

Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they were, concerning the Hereafter, disbelievers.

اور تم سڑکوں پر اس غرض سے مت بیٹھا کرو کہ اللہ پر ایمان لانے والوں کو دھمکیاں دو اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکو اور اس میں کجی کی تلاش میں لگے رہو اور اس حالت کو یاد کرو جب تم کم تھے پھر اللہ نے تم کو زیادہ کر دیا اور دیکھو کہ کیسا انجام ہوا فساد کرنے والوں کا ۔

And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him, seeking to make it [seem] deviant. And remember when you were few and He increased you. And see how was the end of the corrupters.

بلا شک یہ کافر لوگ اپنے مالوں کو اس لئے خرچ کر رہے ہیں کہ اللہ کی راہ سے روکیں سو یہ لوگ تو اپنے مالوں کو خرچ کرتے ہی رہیں گے پھر وہ مال ان کے حق میں باعث حسرت ہوجائیں گے پھر مغلوب ہوجائیں گے اور کافر لوگوں کو دوزخ کی طرف جمع کیا جائے گا ۔

Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [people] from the way of Allah . So they will spend it; then it will be for them a [source of] regret; then they will be overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be gathered.

ان لوگوں جیسے نہ بنو جو اتراتے ہوئے اور لوگوں میں خود نمائی کرتے ہوئے اپنے گھروں سے چلے اور اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے تھے جو کچھ وہ کر رہے ہیں اللہ اسے گھیر لینے والا ہے ۔

And do not be like those who came forth from their homes insolently and to be seen by people and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And Allah is encompassing of what they do.

تم ان کے مقابلے کے لئے اپنی طاقت بھر قوت کی تیاری کرو اور گھوڑوں کے تیار رکھنے کی کہ اس سے تم اللہ کے دشمنوں کو خوف زدہ رکھ سکو اور ان کے سوا اوروں کو بھی ، جنہیں تم نہیں جانتے اللہ انھیں خوب جان رہا ہے جو کچھ بھی اللہ کی راہ میں صرف کرو گے وہ تمہیں پورا پورا دیا جائے گا اور تمہارا حق نہ مارا جائے گا ۔

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور ہجرت کی اور اپنے مالوں اور جانوں سے اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا اور جن لوگوں نے ان کو پناہ دی اور مدد کی یہ سب آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے رفیق ہیں اور جو ایمان تو لائے ہیں لیکن ہجرت نہیں کی تو تمہارے لئے ان کی کچھ بھی رفاقت نہیں جب تک کہ وہ ہجرت نہ کریں ہاں اگر وہ دین کے بارے میں مدد طلب کریں تو تم پر مدد کرناضروری ہے سوائے ان لوگوں کے کہ تم میں اور ان میں عہد و پیمان ہے تم جو کچھ کر رہے ہو اللہ خوب دیکھتا ہے ۔

Indeed, those who have believed and emigrated and fought with their wealth and lives in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - they are allies of one another. But those who believed and did not emigrate - for you there is no guardianship of them until they emigrate. And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help, except against a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty. And Allah is Seeing of what you do.

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور ہجرت کی اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا اور جنہوں نے پناہ دی اور مدد پہنچائی ۔ یہی لوگ سچے مومن ہیں ، ان کے لئے بخشش ہے اور عزت کی روزی ۔

But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.

کیا تم نے حاجیوں کو پانی پلا دینا اور مسجد حرام کی خدمت کرنا اس کے برابر کر دیا ہے جو اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان لائے اور اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کیا ، یہ اللہ کے نزدیک برابر کے نہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی ظالموں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا ۔

Have you made the providing of water for the pilgrim and the maintenance of al-Masjid al-Haram equal to [the deeds of] one who believes in Allah and the Last Day and strives in the cause of Allah ? They are not equal in the sight of Allah . And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہجرت کی اللہ کی راہ میں اپنے مال اور اپنی جان سے جہاد کیا وہ اللہ کے ہاں بہت بڑے مرتبہ والے ہیں اور یہی لوگ مراد پانے والے ہیں ۔

The ones who have believed, emigrated and striven in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah . And it is those who are the attainers [of success].

اے ایمان والو! اکثر علماء اور عابد لوگوں کا مال ناحق کھا جاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روک دیتے ہیں اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا خزانہ رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے ۔

O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

اے ایمان والو! اکثر علماء اور عابد لوگوں کا مال ناحق کھا جاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روک دیتے ہیں اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا خزانہ رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے ۔

O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

اے ایمان والو! تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ جب تم سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ چلو اللہ کے راستے میں کوچ کرو تو تم زمین سے لگے جاتے ہو ۔ کیا تم آخرت کے عوض دنیا کی زندگانی پر ریجھ گئے ہو ۔ سنو! دنیا کی زندگی تو آخرت کے مقابلے میں کچھ یونہی سی ہے ۔

O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah , you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little.

نکل کھڑے ہو جاؤ ہلکے پھلکے ہو تو بھی اور بھاری بھرکم ہو تو بھی ، اور راہ رب میں اپنے مال و جان سے جہاد کرو یہی تمہارے لئے بہتر ہے اگر تم میں علم ہو ۔

Go forth, whether light or heavy, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of Allah . That is better for you, if you only knew.

صدقے صرف فقیروں کے لئے ہیں اور مسکینوں کے لئے اور ان کے وصول کرنے والوں کے لئے اور ان کے لئے جن کے دل پرچائے جاتے ہوں اور گردن چھڑانے میں اور قرضداروں کے لئے اور اللہ کی راہ میں اور راہرو مسافروں کے لئے فرض ہے اللہ کی طرف سے ، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے ۔

Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah . And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

پیچھے رہ جانے والے لوگ رسول اللہ ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے جانے کے بعد اپنے بیٹھے رہنے پر خوش ہیں انہوں نے اللہ کی راہ میں اپنے مال اور اپنی جانوں سے جہاد کرنا نا پسند رکھا اور انہوں نے کہہ دیا کہ اس گرمی میں مت نکلو ۔ کہہ دیجئے کہ دوزخ کی آگ بہت ہی سخت گرم ہے کاش کہ وہ سمجھتے ہوتے ۔

Those who remained behind rejoiced in their staying [at home] after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allah and disliked to strive with their wealth and their lives in the cause of Allah and said, 'Do not go forth in the heat." Say, "The fire of Hell is more intensive in heat" - if they would but understand.

بلا شبہ اللہ تعالٰی نے مسلمانوں سے ان کی جانوں کو اور ان کے مالوں کو اس بات کے عوض خرید لیا ہے کہ ان کو جنت ملے گی وہ لوگ اللہ کی راہ میں لڑتے ہیں جس میں قتل کرتے ہیں اور قتل کئے جاتے ہیں اس پر سچا وعدہ کیا گیا ہے تورات میں اور انجیل میں اور قرآن میں اور اللہ سے زیادہ اپنے عہد کو کون پورا کرنے والا ہے تو تم لوگ اس بیع پر جس کا تم نے معاملہ ٹھہرایا ہے خوشی مناؤ اور یہ بڑی کامیابی ہے ۔

Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah , so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah ? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.

مدینہ کے رہنے والوں کو اور جو دیہاتی ان کے گردو پیش ہیں ان کو یہ زیبا نہیں تھا کہ رسول اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پیچھے رہ جائیں اور نہ یہ کہ اپنی جان کو ان کی جان سے عزیز سمجھیں ، یہ اس سبب سے کہ ان کو اللہ کی راہ میں جو پیاس لگی اور جو تھکان پہنچی اور جو بھوک لگی اور جو کسی ایسی جگہ چلے جو کفار کے لئے موجب غیظ ہوا ہو اور دشمنوں کی جو خبر لی ان سب پر ان کے نام ( ایک ایک ) نیک کام لکھا گیا ۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی مخلصین کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتا ۔

It was not [proper] for the people of Madinah and those surrounding them of the bedouins that they remain behind after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allah or that they prefer themselves over his self. That is because they are not afflicted by thirst or fatigue or hunger in the cause of Allah , nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good.

جو اللہ کی راہ سے روکتے ہیں اور اس میں کجی تلاش کر لیتے ہیں یہی آخرت کے منکر ہیں ۔

Who averted [people] from the way of Allah and sought to make it [seem] deviant while they, concerning the Hereafter, were disbelievers.
