الفاظ ( الَّذِيْنَ )

اے ایمان والو! اگر تم کافروں کی باتیں مانو گے تو وہ تمہیں تمہاری ایڑیوں کے بل پلٹا دیں گے ( یعنی تمہیں مرتد بنا دیں گے ) پھر تم نامُراد ہو جاؤ گے ۔

O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will [then] become losers.

اے ایمان والو! اگر تم کافروں کی باتیں مانو گے تو وہ تمہیں تمہاری ایڑیوں کے بل پلٹا دیں گے ( یعنی تمہیں مرتد بنا دیں گے ) پھر تم نامُراد ہو جاؤ گے ۔

O you who have believed, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, and you will [then] become losers.

ہم عنقریب کافروں کے دلوں میں رُعب ڈال دیں گے ، اس وجہ سے کہ یہ اللہ کے ساتھ ان چیزوں کو شریک کرتے ہیں جس کی کوئی دلیل اللہ نے نہیں اُتاری ، ان کا ٹِھکانا جہنّم ہے ، اور ان ظالموں کی بُری جگہ ہے ۔

We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve for what they have associated with Allah of which He had not sent down [any] authority. And their refuge will be the Fire, and wretched is the residence of the wrongdoers.

پھر اس نے اس غم کے بعد تم پر امن نازل فرمایا اور تم میں سے ایک جماعت کو امن کی نیند آنے لگی ۔ ہاں کچھ وہ لوگ بھی تھے کہ انہیں اپنی جانوں کی پڑی ہوئی تھی ، وہ اللہ تعالٰی کے ساتھ ناحق جہالت بھری بدگُمانیاں کر رہے تھے اور کہتے تھے کیا ہمیں بھی کسی چیز کا اختیار ہے ؟آپ کہہ دیجئیے کہ کام کُل کا کُل اللہ کے اختیار میں ہے ، یہ لوگ اپنے دلوں کے بھید آپ کو نہیں بتاتے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ہمیں کچھ بھی اختیار ہوتا تو یہاں قتل نہ کئے جاتے ۔ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ گو تم اپنے گھروں میں ہوتے پھر بھی جن کی قسمت میں قتل ہونا تھا وہ تو مقتل کی طرف چل کھڑے ہوتے اللہ تعالٰی کو تمہارے سینوں کے اندر کی چیز کا آزمانا اور جو کچھ تمہارے دلوں میں ہے اس کو پاک کرنا تھا ، اور اللہ تعالٰی سینوں کے بھید سے آگاہ ہے ۔

Then after distress, He sent down upon you security [in the form of] drowsiness, overcoming a faction of you, while another faction worried about themselves, thinking of Allah other than the truth - the thought of ignorance, saying, "Is there anything for us [to have done] in this matter?" Say, "Indeed, the matter belongs completely to Allah ." They conceal within themselves what they will not reveal to you. They say, "If there was anything we could have done in the matter, some of us would not have been killed right here." Say, "Even if you had been inside your houses, those decreed to be killed would have come out to their death beds." [It was] so that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purify what is in your hearts. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.

تم میں سے جن لوگوں نے اس دن پیٹھ دکھائی جس دن دونوں جماعتوں کی مڈ بھیڑ ہوئی تھی یہ لوگ اپنے بعض کرتوتُوں کے باعث شیطان کے پھسلانے میں آگئے لیکن یقین جانو کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے انہیں معاف کر دیا اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے والا اور تحمل والا ہے ۔

Indeed, those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met, it was Satan who caused them to slip because of some [blame] they had earned. But Allah has already forgiven them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing.

اے ایمان والو! تم ان لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جانا جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور اپنے بھائیوں کے حق میں جب کہ وہ سفر میں ہوں یا جہاد میں ہوں کہا کہ اگر یہ ہمارے پاس ہوتے تو نہ مرتے اور نہ مارے جاتے ، اس کی وجہ یہ تھی کہ اس خیال کو اللہ تعالٰی ان کی دِلی حسرت کا سبب بنا دے ، اللہ تعالٰی جِلاتا اور مارتا ہے اور اللہ تمہارے عمل کو دیکھ رہا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved and said about their brothers when they traveled through the land or went out to fight, "If they had been with us, they would not have died or have been killed," so Allah makes that [misconception] a regret within their hearts. And it is Allah who gives life and causes death, and Allah is Seeing of what you do.

اور منافقوں کو بھی معلوم کرلے جن سے کہا گیا کہ آؤ اللہ کی راہ میں جہاد کرو ، یا کافروں کو ہٹاؤ ، تو وہ کہنے لگے کہ اگر ہم لڑائی جانتے ہوتے تو ضرور ساتھ دیتے ، وہ اس دن بہ نسبت ایمان کے کُفر سے بہت قریب تھے ، اپنے منہ سے وہ باتیں بناتے ہیں جو ان کے دِلوں میں نہیں ، اور اللہ تعالٰی خوب جانتا ہے جسے وہ چھپاتے ہیں ۔

And that He might make evident those who are hypocrites. For it was said to them, "Come, fight in the way of Allah or [at least] defend." They said, "If we had known [there would be] fighting, we would have followed you." They were nearer to disbelief that day than to faith, saying with their mouths what was not in their hearts. And Allah is most Knowing of what they conceal -

جو لوگ اللہ کی راہ میں شہید کئے گئے ہیں ان کو ہرگِز مُردہ نہ سمجھیں ، بلکہ وہ زندہ ہیں اپنے رب کے پاس روزیاں دیئے جاتے ہیں ۔

And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,

کُفر میں آگے بڑھنے والے لوگ تجھے غمناک نہ کریں ، یقین مانو کہ یہ اللہ تعالٰی کا کچھ نہ بگاڑ سکیں گے ، اللہ تعالٰی کا ارادہ ہے کہ ان کے لئے آخرت کا کوئی حصّہ عطا نہ کرے ، اور ان کے لئے بڑا عذاب ہے ۔

And do not be grieved, [O Muhammad], by those who hasten into disbelief. Indeed, they will never harm Allah at all. Allah intends that He should give them no share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment.

کُفر کو ایمان کے بدلے خریدنے والے ہرگِز ہرگِز اللہ تعالٰی کو کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتے اور ان ہی کے لئے المناک عذاب ہے ۔

Indeed, those who purchase disbelief [in exchange] for faith - never will they harm Allah at all, and for them is a painful punishment.

کافر لوگ ہماری دی ہوئی مُہلت کو اپنے حق میں بہتر نہ سمجھیں یہ مُہلت تو اس لئے ہے کہ وہ گناہوں میں اور بڑھ جائیں ان ہی کے لئے ذلیل کرنے والا عذاب ہے ۔

And let not those who disbelieve ever think that [because] We extend their time [of enjoyment] it is better for them. We only extend it for them so that they may increase in sin, and for them is a humiliating punishment.

جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے اپنے فضل سے کچھ دے رکھا ہے وہ اس میں اپنی کنجُوسی کو اپنے لئے بہتر خیال نہ کریں بلکہ وہ ان کے لئے نہایت بدتر ہے ؟عنقریب قیامت والے دن یہ اپنی کنجوسی کی چیز کے طوق ڈالے جائیں گے ، آسمانوں اور زمین کی میراث اللہ تعالیٰ ہی کے لئے اور جو کچھ تم کر رہے ہو ، اس سے اللہ تعالٰی آگاہ ہے ۔

And let not those who [greedily] withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allah , with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted.

یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی نے ان لوگوں کا قول بھی سُنا جنہوں نے کہا کہ اللہ تعالٰی فقیر ہے اور ہم تونگّر ہیں ان کے اس قول کو ہم لکھ لیں گے ۔ اور ان کا انبیاء کو بلا وجہ قتل کرنا بھی ، اور ہم ان سے کہیں گے کہ جلنے والا عذاب چکھّو!

Allah has certainly heard the statement of those [Jews] who said, "Indeed, Allah is poor, while we are rich." We will record what they said and their killing of the prophets without right and will say, "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.

یقیناً تمہارے مالوں اور جانوں سے تمہاری آزمائش کی جائے گی اور یہ بھی یقین ہے کہ تمہیں ان لوگوں کی جو تم سے پہلے کتاب دیئے گئے اور مشرکوں کو بہت سی دکھ دینے والی باتیں بھی سننی پڑیں گی اور اگر تم صبر کرلو اور پرہیزگاری اختیار کرو تو یقیناً یہ بہت بڑی ہمت کا کام ہے ۔

You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.

یقیناً تمہارے مالوں اور جانوں سے تمہاری آزمائش کی جائے گی اور یہ بھی یقین ہے کہ تمہیں ان لوگوں کی جو تم سے پہلے کتاب دیئے گئے اور مشرکوں کو بہت سی دکھ دینے والی باتیں بھی سننی پڑیں گی اور اگر تم صبر کرلو اور پرہیزگاری اختیار کرو تو یقیناً یہ بہت بڑی ہمت کا کام ہے ۔

You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.

اور اللہ تعالٰی نے جب اہل کتاب سے عہد لیا کہ تم اسے سب لوگوں سے ضُرور بیان کرو گے اور اسے چھُپاؤ گے نہیں ، تو پھر بھی ان لوگوں نے اس عہد کو اپنی پیٹھ پیچھے ڈال دیا اور اسے بہت کم قیمت پر بیچ ڈالا ۔ ان کا یہ بیوپار بہت بُرا ہے ۔

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Allah took a covenant from those who were given the Scripture, [saying], "You must make it clear to the people and not conceal it." But they threw it away behind their backs and exchanged it for a small price. And wretched is that which they purchased.

وہ لوگ جو اپنے کرتوتُوں پر خوش ہیں اور چاہتے ہیں کہ جو انہوں نے نہیں کیا اس پر بھی ان کی تعریفیں کی جائیں آپ انہیں عذاب سے چھُٹکارہ میں نہ سمجھئے ان کے لئے تو دردناک عذاب ہے ۔

And never think that those who rejoice in what they have perpetrated and like to be praised for what they did not do - never think them [to be] in safety from the punishment, and for them is a painful punishment.

جو اللہ تعالٰی کا ذکر کھڑے اور بیٹھے اور اپنی کروٹوں پر لیٹے ہوئے کرتے ہیں اور آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش میں غور و فکر کرتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں اے ہمارے پروردگار ! تو نے یہ بے فائدہ نہیں بنایا ۔ تو پاک ہے پس ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا لے ۔

Who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], "Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

تجھے کافروں کا شہروں میں چلنا پھرنا فریب میں نہ ڈال دے ۔

Be not deceived by the [uninhibited] movement of the disbelievers throughout the land.

لیکن جو لوگ اپنے رب سے ڈرتے رہے ان کے لئے جنّتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہیں ، ان میں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے یہ مہمانی ہے اللہ کی طرف سے اور نیکوکاروں کے لئے جو کچھ اللہ تعالیٰ کے پاس ہے وہ بہت ہی بہتر ہے ۔

But those who feared their Lord will have gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein, as accommodation from Allah . And that which is with Allah is best for the righteous.

اے ایمان والو! تم ثابت قدم رہو اور ایک دوسرے کو تھامے رکھو اور جہاد کے لئے تیار رہو اور اللہ تعالیٰ سے ڈرتے رہو تاکہ تم مُراد کو پہنچو ۔

O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.

اور چاہئے کہ وہ اس بات سے ڈریں کہ اگر وہ خود اپنے پیچھے ( ننھے ننھے ) ناتواں بچے چھوڑ جاتے جنکے ضائع ہو جانے کا اندیشہ رہتا ہے ، ( تو ان کی چاہت کیا ہوتی ) پس اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈر کر جچی تُلی بات کہا کریں ۔

And let those [executors and guardians] fear [injustice] as if they [themselves] had left weak offspring behind and feared for them. So let them fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice.

جو لوگ ناحق ظلم سے یتیموں کا مال کھاتے ہیں وہ اپنے پیٹ میں آگ ہی بھر رہے ہیں اور عنقریب وہ دوزخ میں جائیں گے ۔

Indeed, those who devour the property of orphans unjustly are only consuming into their bellies fire. And they will be burned in a Blaze.

ان کی توبہ نہیں جو بُرائیاں کرتے چلے جائیں یہاں تک کہ جب ان میں سے کسی کے پاس موت آجائے تو کہہ دے کہ میں نے اب توبہ کی اور ان کی توبہ بھی قبول نہیں جو کفر پر ہی مر جائیں ، یہی لوگ ہیں جن کے لئے ہم نے المناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے ۔

But repentance is not [accepted] of those who [continue to] do evil deeds up until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "Indeed, I have repented now," or of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful punishment.

ایمان والو! تمہیں حلال نہیں کہ زبردستی عورتوں کو ورثے میں لے بیٹھو انہیں اس لئے روک نہ رکھو کہ جو تم نے انہیں دے رکھا ہے ، اس میں سے کچھ لے لو ہاں یہ اور بات ہے کہ وہ کوئی کُھلی بُرائی اور بے حیائی کریں ان کے ساتھ اچھے طریقے سے بودوباش رکھو ، گو تم انہیں ناپسند کرو لیکن بہت ممکن ہے کہ تم کسی چیز کو بُرا جانو ، اور اللہ تعالٰی اس میں بہت ہی بھلائی کر دے ۔

O you who have believed, it is not lawful for you to inherit women by compulsion. And do not make difficulties for them in order to take [back] part of what you gave them unless they commit a clear immorality. And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good.

حرام کی گئیں ہیں تم پر تمہاری مائیں اور تمہاری لڑکیاں اور تمہاری بہنیں تمہاری پھوپھیاں اور تمہاری خالائیں اور بھائی کی لڑکیاں اور بہن کی لڑکیاں اور تمہاری وہ مائیں جنہوں نے تمہیں دودھ پلایا ہو اور تمہاری دودھ شریک بہنیں اور تمہاری ساس اور تمہاری وہ پرورش کردہ لڑکیاں جو تمہاری گود میں ہیں ، تمہاری ان عورتوں سے جن سے تم دخول کرچکے ہو ، ہاں اگر تم نے ان سے جماع نہ کیا ہو تو تم پر کوئی گناہ نہیں اور تمہارےصلبی سگے بیٹوں کی بیویاں اور تمہارا دو بہنوں کا جمع کرنا ہاں جو گُزر چکا سو گُزر چکا یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی بخشنے والامہربان ہے ۔

Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father's sisters, your mother's sisters, your brother's daughters, your sister's daughters, your [milk] mothers who nursed you, your sisters through nursing, your wives' mothers, and your step-daughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in. But if you have not gone in unto them, there is no sin upon you. And [also prohibited are] the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins, and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

اور اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا ہے کہ تمہارے واسطے خوب کھول کر بیان کرے اور تمہیں تم سے پہلے کے ( نیک ) لوگوں کی راہ پر چلائے اور تمہاری توبہ قبول کرے ، اور اللہ تعالٰی جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے ۔

Allah wants to make clear to you [the lawful from the unlawful] and guide you to the [good] practices of those before you and to accept your repentance. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

اور اللہ چاہتا ہے کہ تمہاری توبہ قبول کرے اور جو لوگ خواہشات کے پیرو ہیں وہ چاہتے ہیں کہ تم اس سے بہت دُور ہٹ جاؤ ۔

Allah wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] passions want you to digress [into] a great deviation.

اے ایمان والو! اپنے آپس کے مال ناجائز طریقہ سے مت کھاؤ ، مگر یہ کہ تمہاری آپس کی رضامندی سے ہو خرید وفروخت ، اور اپنے آپ کو قتل نہ کرو یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی تم پر نہایت مہربان ہے ۔

O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth unjustly but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves [or one another]. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.

جو لوگ خود بخیلی کرتے ہیں اور دوسروں کو بھی بخیلی کرنے کو کہتے ہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی نے جو اپنا فضل انہیں دے رکھا ہے اسے چھُپا لیتے ہیں ہم نے ان کافرِوں کے لئے ذِلّت کی مار تیار کر رکھی ہے ۔

Who are stingy and enjoin upon [other] people stinginess and conceal what Allah has given them of His bounty - and We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment -

جس روز کافر اور رسول کے نافرمان آرزو کریں گے کہ کاش! انہیں زمین کے ساتھ ہموار کر دیا جاتا اور اللہ تعالٰی سے کوئی بات نہ چھُپا سکیں گے ۔

That Day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the Messenger will wish they could be covered by the earth. And they will not conceal from Allah a [single] statement.

اے ایمان والو! جب تم نشے میں مست ہو نماز کے قریب بھی نہ جاؤ ، جب تک کہ اپنی بات کو سمجھنے نہ لگو اور جنابت کی حالت میں جب تک کہ غسل نہ کر لو ہاں اگر راہ چلتے گزر جانے والے ہوتو اور بات ہے اور اگر تم بیمار ہو یا سفر میں ہو یا تم میں سے کوئی قضائے حاجت سے آیا ہو یا تم نے عورتوں سے مباشرت کی ہو اور تمہیں پانی نہ ملے تو پاک مٹی کا قصد کرو اور اپنے منہ اور اپنے ہاتھ مل لو ۔ بیشک اللہ تعالٰی معاف کرنے والا بخشنے والا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of janabah, except those passing through [a place of prayer], until you have washed [your whole body]. And if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and find no water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and your hands [with it]. Indeed, Allah is ever Pardoning and Forgiving.

کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا؟ جنہیں کتاب کا کچھ حصّہ دیا گیا ہے وہ گُمراہی خریدتے ہیں اور چاہتے ہیں کہ تم بھی راہ سے بھٹک جاؤ ۔

Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, purchasing error [in exchange for it] and wishing you would lose the way?

بعض یہود کلمات کو ان کی ٹھیک جگہ سے ہیر پھیر کر دیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے سنا اور نافرمانی کی اور سُن اس کے بغیر کہ تُو سنا جائے اور ہماری رعایت کر ! ( لیکن اس کہنے میں ) اپنی زبان کو پیچ دیتے ہیں اور دین میں طعنہ دیتے ہیں اور اگر یہ لوگ کہتے کہ ہم نے سُنا اور ہم نے فرمانبرداری کی اور آپ سُنئے اور ہمیں دیکھئے تو یہ ان کے لئے بہت بہتر اور نہایت ہی مناسب تھا لیکن اللہ تعالٰی نے ان کے کُفر کی وجہ سے انہیں لعنت کی ہے ۔ پس یہ بہت ہی کم ایمان لاتے ہیں

Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

اے اہلِ کتاب !جو کچھ ہم نے نازل فرمایا ہے جو اس کی بھی تصدیق کرنے والا ہے جو تمہارے پاس ہے ، اس پر ایمان لاؤ اس سے پہلے کہ ہم چہرے بگاڑ دیں اور انہیں لوٹا کر پیٹھ کی طرف کر دیں ، یا ان پر لعنت بھیجیں جیسے ہم نے ہفتے کے دن والوں پر لعنت کی اور ہے اللہ تعالٰی کا کام کیا گیا ۔

O you who were given the Scripture, believe in what We have sent down [to Muhammad], confirming that which is with you, before We obliterate faces and turn them toward their backs or curse them as We cursed the sabbath-breakers. And ever is the decree of Allah accomplished.

کیا آپ نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جو اپنی پاکیزگی اور ستائش خود کرتے ہیں؟ بلکہ اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے پاکیزہ کرتا ہے ، کسی پر ایک دھاگے کے برابر ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا ۔

Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed].

کیا آپ نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جنہیں کتاب کا کچھ حصّہ مِلا ہے؟ جو بُت کا اور باطل معبود کا اعتقاد رکھتے ہیں اور کافروں کے حق میں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ لوگ ایمان والوں سے زیادہ راہ راست پر ہیں ۔

Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in superstition and false objects of worship and say about the disbelievers, "These are better guided than the believers as to the way"?

کیا آپ نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جنہیں کتاب کا کچھ حصّہ مِلا ہے؟ جو بُت کا اور باطل معبود کا اعتقاد رکھتے ہیں اور کافروں کے حق میں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ لوگ ایمان والوں سے زیادہ راہ راست پر ہیں ۔

Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in superstition and false objects of worship and say about the disbelievers, "These are better guided than the believers as to the way"?

یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالٰی نے لعنت کی ہے اور جسے اللہ تعالٰی لعنت کر دے ، تُو اس کا کوئی مددگار نہ پائے گا ۔

Those are the ones whom Allah has cursed; and he whom Allah curses - never will you find for him a helper.

جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں سے کُفر کیا انہیں ہم یقیناً آگ میں ڈال دیں گے جب ان کی کھالیں پک جائیں گی ہم ان کے سِوا اور کھالیں بدل دیں گے تاکہ وہ عذاب چکھتے رہیں یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی غالب حکمت والا ہے ۔

Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses - We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted in Might and Wise.

اے ایمان والو! فرمانبرداری کرو اللہ تعالٰی کی اور فرمانبرداری کرو رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم ) کی اور تم میں سے اختیار والوں کی ۔ پھر اگر کسی چیز میں اختلاف کرو تو اسے لوٹاؤ اللہ تعالٰی کی طرف اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف اگر تمہیں اللہ تعالٰی پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان ہے ۔ یہ بہت بہتر ہے اور باعتبارِ انجام کے بہت اچھا ہے ۔

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.

کیا آپ نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا؟ جن کا دعویٰ تو یہ ہے کہ جو کچھ آپ پر اور جو کچھ آپ سے پہلے اُتارا گیا ہے اس پر ان کا ایمان ہے لیکن وہ اپنے فیصلے غیر اللہ کی طرف لے جانا چاہتے ہیں حالانکہ انہیں حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ شیطان کا انکار کریں شیطان تو یہ چاہتا ہے کہ انہیں بہکا کر دور ڈال دے ۔

Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer legislation to Taghut, while they were commanded to reject it; and Satan wishes to lead them far astray.

یہ وہ لوگ ہیں کہ ان کے دلوں کا بھید اللہ تعالٰی پر بخوبی روشن ہے ، آپ ان سے چشم پوشی کیجئے انہیں نصیحت کرتے رہئے اور انہیں وہ بات کہئے !جو ان کے دلوں میں گھر کرنے والی ہو ۔

Those are the ones of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them but admonish them and speak to them a far-reaching word.

اور جو بھی اللہ تعالٰی کی اور رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کی فرمانبرداری کرے وہ ان لوگوں کے ساتھ ہوگا جن پر اللہ تعالٰی نے انعام کیاہے ، جیسے نبی اور صدیق اور شہید اور نیک لوگ یہ بہترین رفیق ہیں ۔

And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.

اے مسلمانو! اپنے بچاؤ کا سامان لے لو پھر گروہ گروہ بن کر کوچ کرو یا سب کے سب اکھٹے ہو کر نکل کھڑے ہو!

O you who have believed, take your precaution and [either] go forth in companies or go forth all together.

پس جو لوگ دنیا کی زندگی کو آخرت کے بدلے بیچ چکے ہیں ، انہیں اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرنا چاہیے اور جو شخص اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتے ہوئے شہادت پالے یا غالب آ جائے یقیناً ہم اسے بہت بڑا ثواب عنایت فرمائیں گے ۔

So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory - We will bestow upon him a great reward.

بھلا کیا وجہ ہے کہ تم اللہ کی راہ میں اور ان ناتواں مردوں عورتوں اور ننھے ننھے بچوں کے چھٹکارے کے لئے جہاد نہ کرو؟ جو یُوں دعائیں مانگ رہے ہیں کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ان ظالموں کی بستی سے ہمیں نجات دے اور ہمارے لئے خاص اپنے پاس سے حمایتی مُقّرر کر دے اور ہمارے لئے خاص اپنے پاس سے مددگار بنا ۔

And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?"

کیا تم نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جنہیں حکم کیا گیا تھا کہ اپنے ہاتھوں کو روکے رکھو اور نمازیں پڑھتے رہو اور زکوۃ ادا کرتے رہو ۔ پھر جب انہیں جہاد کا حکم دیا گیا تو اسی وقت ان کی ایک جماعت لوگوں سے اس قدر ڈرنے لگی جیسے اللہ تعالٰی کا ڈر ہو بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ اور کہنے لگے اے ہمارے رب! تو نے ہم پر جہاد کیوں فرض کر دیا ؟کیوں ہمیں تھوڑی سی زندگی اور نہ جینے دی ؟ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ دنیا کی سود مندی تو بہت ہی کم ہے اور پرہیزگاروں کے لئے تو آخرت ہی بہتر ہے اور تم پر ایک دھاگے کے برابر بھی سِتَم روانہ رکھا جائے گا ۔

Have you not seen those who were told, "Restrain your hands [from fighting] and establish prayer and give zakah"? But then when fighting was ordained for them, at once a party of them feared men as they fear Allah or with [even] greater fear. They said, "Our Lord, why have You decreed upon us fighting? If only You had postponed [it for] us for a short time." Say, The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is better for he who fears Allah . And injustice will not be done to you, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed]."

جہاں انہیں کوئی خبر امن کی یا خوف کی ملی انہوں نے اسے مشہور کرنا شروع کر دیا حالانکہ اگر یہ لوگ اسے رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے اور اپنے میں سے ایسی باتوں کی تہہ تک پہنچنے والوں کے حوالے کر دیتے ، تو اس کی حقیقت وہ لوگ معلوم کر لیتے جو نتیجہ اخذ کرتے ہیں اور اگر اللہ تعالٰی کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت تم پر نہ ہوتی تو معدودے چند کے علاوہ تم سب شیطان کے پیروکار بن جاتے ۔

And when there comes to them information about [public] security or fear, they spread it around. But if they had referred it back to the Messenger or to those of authority among them, then the ones who [can] draw correct conclusions from it would have known about it. And if not for the favor of Allah upon you and His mercy, you would have followed Satan, except for a few.

تُو اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں جہاد کرتا رہ تجھے صرف تیری ذات کی نسبت حکم دیا جاتا ہے ہاں ایمان والوں کو رغبت دلاتا رہ بہت ممکن ہے کہ اللہ تعالٰی کافروں کی جنگ کو روک دے اور اللہ تعالٰی سخت قوّت والا ہے اور سزا دینے میں بھی سخت ہے ۔

So fight, [O Muhammad], in the cause of Allah ; you are not held responsible except for yourself. And encourage the believers [to join you] that perhaps Allah will restrain the [military] might of those who disbelieve. And Allah is greater in might and stronger in [exemplary] punishment.
