الفاظ ( مِّنَ )

جب تم عورتوں کو طلاق دو اور وہ اپنی عدّت ختم کرنے پر آئیں تو اب انہیں اچھی طرح بساؤ ، یا بھلائی کے ساتھ الگ کر دو اور انہیں تکلیف پہنچانے کی غرض سے ظلم وزیادتی کے لئے نہ روکو ، جو شخص ایسا کرے اس نے اپنی جان پر ظلم کیا تم اللہ کے احکام کو ہنسی کھیل نہ بناؤ اور اللہ کا احسان جو تم پر ہے یاد کرو اور جو کچھ کتاب و حکمت اس نے نازل فرمائی ہے جس سے تمہیں نصیحت کر رہا ہے ، اسےبھی ۔ اور اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈرتے رہا کرو اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز کو جانتا ہے ۔

And when you divorce women and they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms, and do not keep them, intending harm, to transgress [against them]. And whoever does that has certainly wronged himself. And do not take the verses of Allah in jest. And remember the favor of Allah upon you and what has been revealed to you of the Book and wisdom by which He instructs you. And fear Allah and know that Allah is Knowing of all things.

تیرے رب کی طرف سے حق یہی ہے خبردار شک کرنے والوں میں نہ ہونا ۔

The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.

آپ سے یہ اہل کتاب درخواست کرتے ہیں کہ آپ ان کے پاس کوئی آسمانی کتاب لائیں ، حضرت موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) سے توانہوں نے اس سے بہت بڑی درخواست کی تھی کہ ہمیں کھلم کھلا اللہ تعالٰی کو دکھا دے پس ان کے اس ظلم کے باعث ان پر کڑاکے کی بجلی آپڑی پھر باوجودیکہ ان کے پاس بہت دلیلیں پہنچ چکی تھیں انہوں نے بچھڑے کو اپنا معبود بنا لیا ، لیکن ہم نے یہ بھی معاف فرما دیا اور ہم نے موسیٰ کو کھلا غلبہ ( اور صریح دلیل ) عنایت فرمائی ۔

The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us Allah outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidences had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority.

جو نفیس چیزیں ان کے لئے حلال کی گئی تھیں وہ ہم نے ان پر حرام کر دیں ان کے ظلم کے باعث اور اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ سے اکثر لوگوں کو روکنے کے باعث

For wrongdoing on the part of the Jews, We made unlawful for them [certain] good foods which had been lawful to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many [people],

آپ سے دریافت کرتے ہیں کہ ان کے لئے کیا کچھ حلال ہے؟ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تمام پاک چیزیں تمہارے لئے حلال کی گئیں ہیں اور جن شکار کھیلنے والے جانوروں کو تم نے سدھار رکھا ہے ، یعنی جنہیں تم تھوڑا بہت وہ سکھاتے ہو جس کی تعلیم اللہ تعالٰی نے تمہیں دے رکھی ہے پس جس شکار کو وہ تمہارے لئے پکڑ کر روک رکھیں تو تم اس سے کھا لو اور اس پر اللہ تعالٰی کے نام کا ذکر کر لیا کرو اور اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈرتے رہو ، یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی جلد حساب لینے والا ہے ۔

They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah ." Indeed, Allah is swift in account.

اے ایمان والو! جب تم نماز کے لئے اُٹھو تو اپنے منہ کو اور اپنے ہاتھوں کوکہنیوں سمیت دھو لو ۔ اپنے سروں کا مسح کرو اور اپنے پاؤں کو ٹخنوں سمیت دھو لو اور اگر تم جنابت کی حالت میں ہو تو غسل کرلو ہاں اگر تم بیمار ہو یا سفر کی حالت میں ہو یا تم میں سے کوئی حاجت ضروری سے فارغ ہو کر آیا ہو ، یا تم عورتوں سے ملے ہو اور تمہیں پانی نہ ملے تو تم پاک مٹی سے تیمم کر لو ، اسے اپنے چہروں پر اور ہاتھوں پر مل لو اللہ تعالٰی تم پر کسی قسم کی تنگی ڈالنا نہیں چاہتا بلکہ اس کا ارادہ تمہیں پاک کرنے کا اور تمہیں اپنی بھرپور نعمت دینے کا ہے تاکہ تم شکر ادا کرتے رہو ۔

O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful.

اے اہل کتاب! یقینًا تمہارے پاس ہمارا رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) آچکا جو تمہارے سامنے کتاب اللہ کی بکثرت ایسی باتیں ظاہر کر رہا ہے جنہیں تم چھپا رہے تھے اور بہت سی باتوں سے درگزر کرتا ہے ، تمہارے پاس اللہ تعالٰی کی طرف سے نور اور واضح کتاب آچکی ہے ۔

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book.

جس کے ذریعے سے اللہ تعالٰی انہیں جو رضائے رب کے درپے ہوں سلامتی کی را ہیں بتلاتا ہے اور اپنی توفیق سے اندھیروں سے نکال کر نور کی طرف لاتا ہے اور راہ راست کی طرف ان کی راہبری کرتا ہے ۔

By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path.

اے اہل کتاب !بالیقیقن ہمارا رسول تمہارے پاس رسولوں کی آمد کے ایک وقفے کے بعد آپہنچا ہے ۔ جو تمہارے لئے صاف صاف بیان کر رہا ہے تاکہ تمہاری یہ بات نہ رہ جائے کہ ہمارے پاس تو کوئی بھلائی ، برائی سنانے والا آیا ہی نہیں ، پس اب تو یقیناً خوشخبری سنانے والا اور آگاہ کرنے والا آپہنچا اور اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of messengers, lest you say, "There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner." But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And Allah is over all things competent.

اور یاد کرو موسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے اپنی قوم سے کہا ، کہ اے میری قوم کے لوگو! اللہ تعالٰی کے اس احسان کا ذکر کرو کہ اس نے تم میں سے پیغمبر بناۓ اور تمہیں بادشاہ بنا دیا اور تمہیں وہ دیا جو تمام عالم میں کسی کو نہیں دیا ۔

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds.

چوری کرنے والے مرد اور عورت کے ہاتھ کاٹ دیا کرو یہ بدلہ ہے اس کا جو انہوں نے کیا ، عذاب اللہ کی طرف سے اور اللہ تعالٰی قوت و حکمت والا ہے ۔

[As for] the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed as a deterrent [punishment] from Allah . And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.

آپ ان کے معاملات میں خدا کی نازل کردہ وحی کے مطابق ہی حکم کیا کیجئے ، ان کی خواہشوں کی تابعداری نہ کیجیئے اور ان سے ہوشیار رہیے کہ کہیں یہ آپ کو اللہ کے اتارے ہوئے کسی حکم سے ادھر ادھر نہ کریں اگر یہ لوگ منہ پھیر لیں تو یقین کریں کہ اللہ کا ارادہ یہی ہے کہ انہیں ان کے بعض گناہوں کی سزا دے ہی ڈالے اور اکثر لوگ نافرمان ہی ہوتے ہیں ۔

And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away - then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient.

مسلمانو! ان لوگوں کو دوست نہ بناؤ جو تمہارے دین کو ہنسی کھیل بنائے ہوئے ہیں ( خواہ ) وہ ان میں سے ہوں جو تم سے پہلے کتاب دیئے گئے یا کفار ہوں اگر تم مومن ہو تو اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈرتے رہو ۔

O you who have believed, take not those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before you nor the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah , if you should [truly] be believers.

عیسیٰ ابن مریم نے دعا کی کہ اے اللہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! ہم پر آسمان سے کھانا نازل فرما !کہ وہ ہمارے لئے یعنی ہم میں جو اول ہیں اور جو بعد کے ہیں سب کے لئے ایک خوشی کی بات ہو جائے اور تیری طرف سے ایک نشانی ہو جائے اور تو ہم کو رزق عطا فرما دے اور تو سب عطا کرنے والوں سے اچھا ہے ۔

Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah , our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers."

اے اولاد آدم! شیطان تم کو کسی خرابی میں نہ ڈال دے جیسا کہ اس نے تمہارے ماں باپ کو جنت سے باہر کر ادیا ایسی حالت میں ان کا لباس بھی اتروا دیا تاکہ وہ ان کو ان کی شرم گاہیں دکھائے ۔ وہ اور اس کا لشکر تم کو ایسے طور پر دیکھتا ہے کہ تم ان کو نہیں دیکھتے ہو ہم نے شیطانوں کو ان ہی لوگوں کا دوست بنایا ہے جو ایمان نہیں لاتے ۔

O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.

ارشاد ہوا کہ اے موسیٰ! میں نے پیغمبری اور اپنی ہمکلامی سے اور لوگوں پر تم کو امتیاز دیا ہے تو جو کچھ تم کو میں نے عطا کیا ہے اس کو لو اور شکر کرو ۔

[ Allah ] said, "O Moses, I have chosen you over the people with My messages and My words [to you]. So take what I have given you and be among the grateful."

اور اے شخص! اپنے رب کی یاد کیا کر اپنے دل میں عاجزی کے ساتھ اور خوف کے ساتھ اور زور کی آواز کی نسبت کم آوازکے ساتھ صبح اور شام اور اہل غفلت میں سے مت ہونا ۔

And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and in fear without being apparent in speech - in the mornings and the evenings. And do not be among the heedless.

اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب کہ اللہ تم پر اونگھ طاری کر رہا تھا اپنی طرف سے چین دینے کے لئے اور تم پر آسمان سے پانی برسا رہا تھا کہ اس پانی کے ذریعے سے تم کو پاک کردے اور تم سے شیطانی وسوسہ کو دفع کردے اور تمہارے دلوں کو مضبوط کردے اور تمہارے پاؤں جمادے ۔

[Remember] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness [giving] security from Him and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you and remove from you the evil [suggestions] of Satan and to make steadfast your hearts and plant firmly thereby your feet.

اور اس حالت کو یاد کرو! جب کہ تم زمین میں قلیل تھے کمزور شمار کئے جاتے تھے ۔ اس اندیشہ میں رہتے تھے کہ تم کو لوگ نوچ کھسوٹ نہ لیں ، سو اللہ نے تم کو رہنے کی جگہ دی اور تم کو اپنی نصرت سے قوت دی اور تم کو نفیس نفیس چیزیں عطا فرمائیں تاکہ تم شکر کرو ۔

And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might abduct you, but He sheltered you, supported you with His victory, and provided you with good things - that you might be grateful.

اے نبی! ایمان والوں کو جہاد کا شوق دلاؤ اگر تم میں بیس بھی صبر کرنے والے ہونگے تو دو سو پر غالب رہیں گے ۔ اور اگر تم میں ایک سو ہونگے تو ایک ہزار کافروں پر غالب رہیں گے ، اس واسطے کہ وہ بے سمجھ لوگ ہیں ۔

O Prophet, urge the believers to battle. If there are among you twenty [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you one hundred [who are] steadfast, they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved because they are a people who do not understand.

اگر پہلے ہی سے اللہ کی طرف سے بات لکھی ہوئی نہ ہوتی تو جو کچھ تم نے لیا ہے اس بارے میں تمہیں کوئی بڑی سزا ہوتی ۔

If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment.

اے نبی! اپنے ہاتھ تلے کے قیدیوں سے کہہ دو کہ اگر اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے دلوں میں نیک نیتی دیکھے گا تو جو کچھ تم سے لیا گیا ہے اس سے بہتر تمہیں دے گا اور پھر گناہ بھی معاف فرمائے گا اور اللہ بخشنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

O Prophet, say to whoever is in your hands of the captives, "If Allah knows [any] good in your hearts, He will give you [something] better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی جانب سے بیزاری کا اعلان ہے ان مشرکوں کے بارے میں جن سے تم نےعہد و پیمان کیا تھا ۔

[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.

اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی جانب سے بیزاری کا اعلان ہے ان مشرکوں کے بارے میں جن سے تم نےعہد و پیمان کیا تھا ۔

[This is a declaration of] disassociation, from Allah and His Messenger, to those with whom you had made a treaty among the polytheists.

اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے لوگوں کو بڑے حج کے دن صاف اطلاع ہے کہ اللہ مشرکوں سے بیزار ہے اور اس کا رسول بھی ، اگر اب بھی تم توبہ کر لو تو تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اور اگر تم روگردانی کرو تو جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو ہرا نہیں سکتے اور کافروں کو دکھ کی مار کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے ۔

And [it is] an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah is disassociated from the disbelievers, and [so is] His Messenger. So if you repent, that is best for you; but if you turn away - then know that you will not cause failure to Allah . And give tidings to those who disbelieve of a painful punishment.

اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی طرف سے لوگوں کو بڑے حج کے دن صاف اطلاع ہے کہ اللہ مشرکوں سے بیزار ہے اور اس کا رسول بھی ، اگر اب بھی تم توبہ کر لو تو تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے اور اگر تم روگردانی کرو تو جان لو کہ تم اللہ کو ہرا نہیں سکتے اور کافروں کو دکھ کی مار کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے ۔

And [it is] an announcement from Allah and His Messenger to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that Allah is disassociated from the disbelievers, and [so is] His Messenger. So if you repent, that is best for you; but if you turn away - then know that you will not cause failure to Allah . And give tidings to those who disbelieve of a painful punishment.

بجز ان مشرکوں کے جن سے تمہارا معاہدہ ہو چکا ہے اور انہوں نے تمہیں ذرا سا بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچایا اور نہ کسی کی تمہارے خلاف مدد کی ہے تو تم بھی ان کے معاہدے کی مدت ان کے ساتھ پوری کرو اللہ تعالٰی پرہیزگاروں کو دوست رکھتا ہے ۔

Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].

اگر مشرکوں میں سے کوئی تجھ سے پناہ طلب کرے تو تو اسے پناہ دے دے یہاں تک کہ وہ کلام اللہ سن لے پھر اسے اپنی جائے امن تک پہنچا دے یہ اس لئے کہ یہ لوگ بے علم ہیں ۔

And if any one of the polytheists seeks your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of Allah . Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.

آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر تمہارے باپ اور تمہارے لڑکے اور تمہارے بھائی اور تمہاری بیویاں اور تمہارے کنبے قبیلے اور تمہارے کمائے ہوئے مال اور وہ تجارت جس کی کمی سے تم ڈرتے ہو اور وہ حویلیاں جنہیں تم پسند کرتے ہو اگر یہ تمہیں اللہ سے اور اس کے رسول سے اور اس کی راہ کے جہاد سے بھی زیادہ عزیز ہیں ، تو تم انتظار کرو کہ اللہ تعالٰی اپنا عذاب لے آئے اللہ تعالٰی فاسقوں کو ہدایت نہیں دیتا

Say, [O Muhammad], "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than Allah and His Messenger and jihad in His cause, then wait until Allah executes His command. And Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people."

اے ایمان والو! اکثر علماء اور عابد لوگوں کا مال ناحق کھا جاتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ سے روک دیتے ہیں اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا خزانہ رکھتے ہیں اور اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے انہیں دردناک عذاب کی خبر پہنچا دیجئے ۔

O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah . And those who hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah - give them tidings of a painful punishment.

صدقے صرف فقیروں کے لئے ہیں اور مسکینوں کے لئے اور ان کے وصول کرنے والوں کے لئے اور ان کے لئے جن کے دل پرچائے جاتے ہوں اور گردن چھڑانے میں اور قرضداروں کے لئے اور اللہ کی راہ میں اور راہرو مسافروں کے لئے فرض ہے اللہ کی طرف سے ، اور اللہ علم و حکمت والا ہے ۔

Zakah expenditures are only for the poor and for the needy and for those employed to collect [zakah] and for bringing hearts together [for Islam] and for freeing captives [or slaves] and for those in debt and for the cause of Allah and for the [stranded] traveler - an obligation [imposed] by Allah . And Allah is Knowing and Wise.

ان ایماندار مردوں اور عورتوں سے اللہ نے ان جنتوں کا وعدہ فرمایا ہے جن کے نیچے نہریں لہریں لے رہی ہیں جہاں وہ ہمیشہ ہمیش رہنے والے ہیں اور ان صاف ستھرے پاکیزہ محلات کا جو ان ہمیشگی والی جنتوں میں ہیں ، اور اللہ کی رضامندی سب سے بڑی چیز ہے یہی زبردست کامیابی ہے ۔

Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater. It is that which is the great attainment.

اور کچھ تمہارے گردو پیش والوں میں اور کچھ مدینے والوں میں ایسے منافق ہیں کہ نفاق پر اڑے ہوئے ہیں ، آپ ان کو نہیں جانتے ان کو ہم جانتے ہیں ہم ان کو دوہری سزا دیں گے پھر وہ بڑے بھاری عذاب کی طرف بھیجے جائیں گے ۔

And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become accustomed to hypocrisy. You, [O Muhammad], do not know them, [but] We know them. We will punish them twice [in this world]; then they will be returned to a great punishment.

مدینہ کے رہنے والوں کو اور جو دیہاتی ان کے گردو پیش ہیں ان کو یہ زیبا نہیں تھا کہ رسول اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پیچھے رہ جائیں اور نہ یہ کہ اپنی جان کو ان کی جان سے عزیز سمجھیں ، یہ اس سبب سے کہ ان کو اللہ کی راہ میں جو پیاس لگی اور جو تھکان پہنچی اور جو بھوک لگی اور جو کسی ایسی جگہ چلے جو کفار کے لئے موجب غیظ ہوا ہو اور دشمنوں کی جو خبر لی ان سب پر ان کے نام ( ایک ایک ) نیک کام لکھا گیا ۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی مخلصین کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتا ۔

It was not [proper] for the people of Madinah and those surrounding them of the bedouins that they remain behind after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allah or that they prefer themselves over his self. That is because they are not afflicted by thirst or fatigue or hunger in the cause of Allah , nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good.

اے ایمان والو! ان کفار سے لڑو جو تمہارے آس پاس ہیں اور ان کو تمہارے اندر سختی پانا چاہیے اور یہ یقین رکھو کہ اللہ تعالٰی متقی لوگوں کے ساتھ ہے ۔

O you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness. And know that Allah is with the righteous.

اور یہ لوگ یوں کہتے ہیں کہ ان پر ان کے رب کی جانب سے کوئی نشانی کیوں نہیں نازل ہوتی؟ سو آپ فرما دیجئے کہ غیب کی خبر صرف اللہ کو ہے سو تم بھی منتظر رہو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ منتظر ہوں ۔

And they say, "Why is a sign not sent down to him from his Lord?" So say, "The unseen is only for Allah [to administer], so wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

اور جن لوگوں نے بد کام کئے ان کی بدی کی سزا اس کے برابر ملے گی اور ان کو ذلت چھائے گی ان کو اللہ تعالٰی سے کوئی نہ بچا سکے گا گویا ان کے چہروں پر اندھیری رات کے پرت کے پرت لپیٹ دیئے گئے ۔ ہیں یہ لوگ دوزخ میں رہنے والے ہیں ، اور وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

آپ کہئے کہ وہ کون ہے جو تم کو آسمان اور زمین سے رزق پہنچاتا ہے یا وہ کون ہے جو کانوں اور آنکھوں پر پورا اختیار رکھتا ہے اور وہ کون ہے جو زندہ کو مردہ سے نکالتا ہے اور مردہ کو زندہ سے نکالتا ہے اور وہ کون ہے جو تمام کاموں کی تدبیر کرتا ہے؟ ضرور وہ یہی کہیں گے کہ ’’ اللہ ‘‘ تو ان سے کہیئے کہ پھر کیوں نہیں ڈرتے ۔

Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, " Allah ," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

سو آج ہم صرف تیری لاش کو نجات دیں گے تاکہ تو ان کے لئے نشان عبرت ہو جو تیرے بعد ہیں اور حقیقت یہ ہے کہ بہت سے آدمی ہماری نشانیوں سے غافل ہیں ۔

So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو بہت اچھا ٹھکانا رہنے کو دیا اور ہم نے انہیں پاکیزہ چیزیں کھانے کو دیں ۔ سو انہوں نے اختلاف نہیں کیا یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس علم پہنچ گیا یقینی بات ہے کہ آپ کا رب ان کے درمیان قیامت کے دن ان امور میں فیصلہ کرے گا جن میں وہ اختلاف کرتے تھے ۔

And We had certainty settled the Children of Israel in an agreeable settlement and provided them with good things. And they did not differ until [after] knowledge had come to them. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ

سو وہ لوگ صرف ان لوگوں کے سے واقعات کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں جو ان سے پہلے گزر چکے ہیں ۔ آپ فرما دیجئے کہ اچھا تو تم انتظار میں رہو میں بھی تمہارے ساتھ انتظار کرنے والوں میں ہوں ۔

So do they wait except for like [what occurred in] the days of those who passed on before them? Say, "Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

اور قوم ثمود کی طرف ان کے بھائی صالح کو بھیجا ، اس نے کہا کہ اے میری قوم تم اللہ کی عبادت کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں اسی نے تمہیں زمین سے پیدا کیا ہے اور اسی نے اس زمین میں تمہیں بسایا ہے پس تم اس سے معافی طلب کرو اور اس کی طرف رجوع کرو ۔ بیشک میرا رب قریب اور دعاؤں کا قبول کرنے والا ہے ۔

And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive."

اب فرشتوں نے کہا اے لوط! ہم تیرے پروردگار کے بھیجے ہوئے ہیں ناممکن ہے کہ یہ تجھ تک پہنچ جائیں پس تو اپنے گھر والوں کو لے کر کچھ رات رہے نکل کھڑا ہو ۔ تم میں سے کسی کو مڑ کر بھی نہ دیکھنا چاہیئے بجز تیری بیوی کے اس لئے کہ اسے بھی وہی پہنچنے والا ہے جو ان سب کو پہنچے گا ، یقیناً ان کے وعدے کا وقت صبح کا ہے ، کیا صبح بالکل قریب نہیں ۔

The angels said, "O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back - except your wife; indeed, she will be struck by that which strikes them. Indeed, their appointment is [for] the morning. Is not the morning near?"

انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ اے میری قوم کے لوگو! کیا تمہارے نزدیک میرے قبیلے کے لوگ اللہ سے بھی زیادہ ذی عزت ہیں کہ تم نے اسے پس پشت ڈال دیا ہے یقیناً میرا رب جو کچھ تم کر رہے ہو سب کو گھیرے ہوئے ہے ۔

He said, "O my people, is my family more respected for power by you than Allah ? But you put Him behind your backs [in neglect]. Indeed, my Lord is encompassing of what you do.

جب وہ انہیں راستوں سے جن کا حکم ان کے والد نے انہیں دیا تھا گئے ۔ کچھ نہ تھا کہ اللہ نے جو بات مقرر کر دی ہے وہ اس سے انہیں ذرا بھی بچا لے ۔ مگر یعقوب ( علیہ السلام ) کے دل میں ایک خیال ( پیدا ہوا ) جسے اس نے پورا کر لیا بلاشبہ وہ ہمارے سکھلائے ہوئے علم کا عالم تھا لیکن اکثر لوگ نہیں جانتے ۔

And when they entered from where their father had ordered them, it did not avail them against Allah at all except [it was] a need within the soul of Jacob, which he satisfied. And indeed, he was a possessor of knowledge because of what We had taught him, but most of the people do not know.

آیا وہ اللہ جو نگہبانی کرنے والا ہے ہر شخص کی اس کے کئے ہوئے اعمال پر ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے شریک ٹھرائے ہیں کہہ دیجئے ذرا ان کے نام تو لو ، کیا تم اللہ کو وہ باتیں بتاتے ہو جو وہ زمین میں جانتا ہی نہیں یا صرف اوپری اوپری باتیں بتا رہے ہو بات اصل یہ ہے کہ کفر کرنے والوں کے لئے ان کے مکر سجا دیئے گئے ہیں اور وہ صیح راہ سے روک دے گئے ہیں اور جس کو اللہ گمراہ کر دے اس کو راہ دکھانے والا کوئی نہیں ۔

Then is He who is a maintainer of every soul, [knowing] what it has earned, [like any other]? But to Allah they have attributed partners. Say, "Name them. Or do you inform Him of that which He knows not upon the earth or of what is apparent of speech?" Rather, their [own] plan has been made attractive to those who disbelieve, and they have been averted from the way. And whomever Allah leaves astray - there will be for him no guide.

اے میرے پروردگار! میں نے اپنی کچھ اولاد اس بے کھیتی کی وادی میں تیرے حرمت والے گھر کے پاس بسائی ہے ۔ اے ہمارے پروردگار! یہ اس لئے کہ وہ نماز قائم رکھیں پس تو کچھ لوگوں کے دلوں کو ان کی طرف مائل کر دے ۔ اور انہیں پھلوں کی روزیاں عنایت فرما تاکہ یہ شکر گزاری کریں ۔

Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful.

وہ لوگ جو اپنے رب سے بن دیکھے خوف کھاتے ہیں اور قیامت ( کے تصور ) سے کانپتے رہتے ہیں ۔

Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive.

آپ نے فرمایا نہیں درحقیقت تم سب کا پروردگار تو وہ ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کا مالک ہے جس نے انہیں پیدا کیا ہے میں تو اسی بات کا گواہ اور قائل ہوں ۔

He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.

اور اسماعیل اور ادریس اور ذوالکفل ( علیہم السلام ) یہ سب صابر لوگ تھے ۔

And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.
