الفاظ ( وَلَا )

مدینہ کے رہنے والوں کو اور جو دیہاتی ان کے گردو پیش ہیں ان کو یہ زیبا نہیں تھا کہ رسول اللہ کو چھوڑ کر پیچھے رہ جائیں اور نہ یہ کہ اپنی جان کو ان کی جان سے عزیز سمجھیں ، یہ اس سبب سے کہ ان کو اللہ کی راہ میں جو پیاس لگی اور جو تھکان پہنچی اور جو بھوک لگی اور جو کسی ایسی جگہ چلے جو کفار کے لئے موجب غیظ ہوا ہو اور دشمنوں کی جو خبر لی ان سب پر ان کے نام ( ایک ایک ) نیک کام لکھا گیا ۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی مخلصین کا اجر ضائع نہیں کرتا ۔

It was not [proper] for the people of Madinah and those surrounding them of the bedouins that they remain behind after [the departure of] the Messenger of Allah or that they prefer themselves over his self. That is because they are not afflicted by thirst or fatigue or hunger in the cause of Allah , nor do they tread on any ground that enrages the disbelievers, nor do they inflict upon an enemy any infliction but that is registered for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good.

اور جو کچھ چھوٹا بڑا انہوں نے خرچ کیا اور جتنے میدان ان کو طے کرنے پڑے ، یہ سب بھی ان کے نام لکھا گیا تاکہ اللہ تعالٰی ان کے کاموں کا اچھے سے اچھا بدلہ دے ۔

Nor do they spend an expenditure, small or large, or cross a valley but that it is registered for them that Allah may reward them for the best of what they were doing.

اور کیا ان کو نہیں دکھلائی دیتا کہ یہ لوگ ہر سال ایک بار یا دو بار کسی نہ کسی آفت میں پھنستے رہتے ہیں پھر بھی نہ توبہ کرتے اور نہ نصیحت قبول کرتے ہیں ۔

Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice but then they do not repent nor do they remember?

اور یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا ایسی چیزوں کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ ان کو ضرر پہنچا سکیں اور نہ ان کو نفع پہنچا سکیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے پاس ہمارے سفارشی ہیں ۔ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تم اللہ کو ایسی چیز کی خبر دیتے ہو جو اللہ تعالٰی کو معلوم نہیں ، نہ آسمانوں میں اور نہ زمین میں وہ پاک اور برتر ہے ان لوگوں کے شرک سے ۔

And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him

اور یہ لوگ اللہ کے سوا ایسی چیزوں کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ ان کو ضرر پہنچا سکیں اور نہ ان کو نفع پہنچا سکیں اور کہتے ہیں کہ یہ اللہ کے پاس ہمارے سفارشی ہیں ۔ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تم اللہ کو ایسی چیز کی خبر دیتے ہو جو اللہ تعالٰی کو معلوم نہیں ، نہ آسمانوں میں اور نہ زمین میں وہ پاک اور برتر ہے ان لوگوں کے شرک سے ۔

And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them, and they say, "These are our intercessors with Allah " Say, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him

جن لوگوں نے نیکی کی ہے ان کے واسطے خوبی ہے اور مزید برآں بھی اور ان کے چہروں پر نہ سیاہی چھائے گی اور نہ ذلت ، یہ لوگ جنت میں رہنے والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے ۔

For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally

اور آپ کسی حال میں ہوں اور منجملہ ان احوال کے آپ کہیں سے قرآن پڑھتے ہوں اور جو کام بھی کرتے ہوں ہم کو سب کی خبر رہتی ہے جب تم اس کام میں مشغول ہوتے ہو اور آپ کے رب سے کوئی چیز ذرہ برابر بھی غائب نہیں نہ زمین میں اور نہ آسمان میں اور نہ کوئی چیز اس سے چھوٹی اور نہ کوئی چیز بڑی مگر یہ سب کتاب مبین میں ہے ۔

And, [O Muhammad], you are not [engaged] in any matter or recite any of the Qur'an and you [people] do not do any deed except that We are witness over you when you are involved in it. And not absent from your Lord is any [part] of an atom's weight within the earth or within the heaven or [anything] smaller than that or greater but that it is in a clear register.

یاد رکھو اللہ کے دوستوں پر نہ کوئی اندیشہ ہے اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوتے ہیں ۔

Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allah there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve

اورآپ کو ان کی باتیں غم میں نہ ڈالیں تمام تر غلبہ اللہ ہی کے لئے ہے وہ سنتا جانتا ہے ۔

And let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, honor [due to power] belongs to Allah entirely. He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

اور آپ ان کو نوح ( علیہ السلام ) کا قصہ پڑھ کر سنائیے جب کہ انہوں نے اپنی قوم سے فرمایا کہ اے میری قوم! اگر تم کو میرا رہنا اور احکام الٰہی کی نصیحت کرنا بھاری معلوم ہوتا ہے تو میرا تو اللہ ہی پربھروسہ ہے تم اپنی تدبیر مع اپنے شرکا کے پختہ کر لو پھر تمہاری تدبیر تمہاری گھٹن کا باعث نہ ہونی چاہیئے پھر میرے ساتھ کر گزرو اور مجھ کو مہلت نہ دو ۔

And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, "O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you - then I have relied upon Allah . So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite.

موسٰی ( علیہ السلام ) نے فرمایا کہ کیا تم اس صحیح دلیل کی نسبت جب وہ کہ تمہارے پاس پہنچی ایسی بات کہتے ہو کیا یہ جادو ہے ، حالانکہ جادوگر کامیاب نہیں ہوا کرتے ۔

Moses said, "Do you say [thus] about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? But magicians will not succeed."

حق تعالٰی نے فرمایا کہ تم دونوں کی دعا قبول کر لی گئی ، سو تم ثابت قدم رہو اور ان لوگوں کی راہ نہ چلنا جن کو علم نہیں ۔

[ Allah ] said, "Your supplication has been answered." So remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know."

اور نہ ان لوگوں میں سے ہوں جنہوں نے اللہ تعالٰی کی آیتوں کو جھٹلایا کہیں آپ خسارہ پانے والوں میں سے نہ ہوجائیں ۔

And never be of those who deny the signs of Allah and [thus] be among the losers.

اور یہ کہ اپنا رخ یکسو ہو کر ( اس ) دین کی طرف کر لینا اور کبھی مشرکوں میں سے نہ ہونا ۔

And [commanded], 'Direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth, and never be of those who associate others with Allah ;

اور اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ایسی چیز کی عبادت مت کرنا جو تجھ کو نہ نفع پہنچا سکے اور نہ کوئی ضرر پہنچا سکے ، پھر اگر ایسا کیا تو تم اس حالت میں ظالموں میں سے ہو جاؤ گے ۔

And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers.'"

اور اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ایسی چیز کی عبادت مت کرنا جو تجھ کو نہ نفع پہنچا سکے اور نہ کوئی ضرر پہنچا سکے ، پھر اگر ایسا کیا تو تم اس حالت میں ظالموں میں سے ہو جاؤ گے ۔

And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you, for if you did, then indeed you would be of the wrongdoers.'"

تمہیں میری خیر خواہی کچھ بھی نفع نہیں دے سکتی گو میں کتنی ہی تمہاری خیر خواہی کیوں نہ چاہوں ، بشرطیکہ اللہ کا ارادہ تمہیں گمراہ کرنے کا ہو وہی تم سب کا پروردگار ہے اور اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے ۔

And my advice will not benefit you - although I wished to advise you - If Allah should intend to put you in error. He is your Lord, and to Him you will be returned."

اور ایک کشتی ہماری آنکھوں کے سامنے اور ہماری وحی سے تیار کر اور ظالموں کے بارے میں ہم سے کوئی بات چیت نہ کر وہ پانی میں ڈبو دیئے جانے والے ہیں ۔

And construct the ship under Our observation and Our inspiration and do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are [to be] drowned."

وہ کشتی انہیں پہاڑوں جیسی موجوں میں لے کر جا رہی تھی اور نوح ( علیہ السلام ) نے اپنے لڑکے کو جو ایک کنارے پر تھا ، پکار کر کہا کہ اے میرے پیارے بچے ہمارے ساتھ سوار ہو جا اور کافروں میں شامل نہ رہ ۔

And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called to his son who was apart [from them], "O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers."

یہ خبریں غیب کی خبروں میں سے ہیں جن کی وحی ہم آپ کی طرف کرتے ہیں انہیں اس سے پہلے آپ جانتے تھے اور نہ آپ کی قوم اس لئے کہ آپ صبر کرتے رہیئے ( یقین مانیئے ) کہ انجام کار پرہیزگاروں کے لئے ہی ہے ۔

That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient; indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous .

اے میری قوم کے لوگو! تم اپنے پالنے والے سے اپنی تقصیروں کی معافی طلب کرو اور اس کی جناب میں توبہ کرو ، تاکہ وہ برسنے والے بادل تم پر بھیج دے اور تمہاری طاقت پر اور طاقت قوت بڑھا دے اورتم جرم کرتے ہوئے روگردانی نہ کرو ۔

And O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in showers and increase you in strength [added] to your strength. And do not turn away, [being] criminals."

پس اگر تم روگردانی کرو تو کرو میں تو تمہیں وہ پیغام پہنچا چکا جو دے کر مجھے تمہاری طرف بھیجا گیا تھا ، میرا رب تمہارے قائم مقام اور لوگوں کو کر دے گا اور تم اس کا کچھ بھی بگاڑ نہ سکو گے یقیناً میرا پروردگار ہرچیز پر نگہبان ہے ۔

But if they turn away, [say], "I have already conveyed that with which I was sent to you. My Lord will give succession to a people other than you, and you will not harm Him at all. Indeed my Lord is, over all things, Guardian."

اور اے میری قوم والو! یہ اللہ کی بھیجی ہوئی اونٹنی ہے جو تمہارے لئے ایک معجزہ ہے اب تم اسے اللہ کی زمین میں کھاتی ہوئی چھوڑ دو اور اسے کسی طرح کی ایذا نہ پہنچاؤ ورنہ فوری عذاب تمہیں پکڑ لے گا

And O my people, this is the she-camel of Allah - [she is] to you a sign. So let her feed upon Allah 's earth and do not touch her with harm, or you will be taken by an impending punishment."

اور اس کی قوم دوڑتی ہوئی اس کے پاس آپہنچی وہ تو پہلے ہی سے بدکاریوں میں مبتلا تھی لوط علیہ السلام نے کہا اے قوم کے لوگو! یہ ہیں میری بیٹیاں جو تمہارے لئے بہت ہی پاکیزہ ہیں اللہ سے ڈرو اور مجھے میرے مہمانوں کے بارے میں رسوا نہ کرو ۔ کیا تم میں ایک بھی بھلا آدمی نہیں ۔

And his people came hastening to him, and before [this] they had been doing evil deeds. He said, "O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah and do not disgrace me concerning my guests. Is there not among you a man of reason?"

اب فرشتوں نے کہا اے لوط! ہم تیرے پروردگار کے بھیجے ہوئے ہیں ناممکن ہے کہ یہ تجھ تک پہنچ جائیں پس تو اپنے گھر والوں کو لے کر کچھ رات رہے نکل کھڑا ہو ۔ تم میں سے کسی کو مڑ کر بھی نہ دیکھنا چاہیئے بجز تیری بیوی کے اس لئے کہ اسے بھی وہی پہنچنے والا ہے جو ان سب کو پہنچے گا ، یقیناً ان کے وعدے کا وقت صبح کا ہے ، کیا صبح بالکل قریب نہیں ۔

The angels said, "O Lot, indeed we are messengers of your Lord; [therefore], they will never reach you. So set out with your family during a portion of the night and let not any among you look back - except your wife; indeed, she will be struck by that which strikes them. Indeed, their appointment is [for] the morning. Is not the morning near?"

اور ہم نے مدین والوں کی طرف ان کے بھائی شعیب کو بھیجا ۔ اس نے کہا اے میری قوم! اللہ کی عبادت کرو اس کے سوا تمہارا کوئی معبود نہیں اور تم ناپ تول میں بھی کمی نہ کروتو میں تمہیں آسودہ حال دیکھ رہا ہوں اور مجھے تم پر گھیرنے والے دن کے عذاب کا خوف ( بھی ) ہے ۔

And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. And do not decrease from the measure and the scale. Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you the punishment of an all-encompassing Day.

اے میری قوم! ناپ تول انصاف کے ساتھ پوری پوری کرو لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں کم نہ دو اور زمین میں فساد اور خرابی نہ مچاؤ ۔

And O my people, give full measure and weight in justice and do not deprive the people of their due and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.

اے میری قوم! ناپ تول انصاف کے ساتھ پوری پوری کرو لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں کم نہ دو اور زمین میں فساد اور خرابی نہ مچاؤ ۔

And O my people, give full measure and weight in justice and do not deprive the people of their due and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.

پس آپ جمے رہیئے جیسا کہ آپ کو حکم دیا گیا ہے اور وہ لوگ بھی جو آپ کے ساتھ توبہ کر چکے ہیں ، خبردار تم حد سے نہ بڑھنا ، اللہ تمہارے تمام اعمال کا دیکھنے والا ہے ۔

So remain on a right course as you have been commanded, [you] and those who have turned back with you [to Allah ], and do not transgress. Indeed, He is Seeing of what you do.

دیکھو ظالموں کی طرف ہرگز نہیں جھکنا ورنہ تمہیں بھی ( دوزخ کی ) آگ لگ جائے گی اور اللہ کے سوا اور تمہارا مددگار نہ کھڑا ہو سکے گا اور نہ تم مدد دیئے جاؤ گے ۔

And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest you be touched by the Fire, and you would not have other than Allah any protectors; then you would not be helped.

اسی طرح ہم نے یوسف ( علیہ السلام ) کو ملک کا قبضہ دے دیا ۔ کہ وہ جہاں کہیں چاہے رہے سہے ہم جسے چاہیں اپنی رحمت پہنچا دیتے ہیں ۔ ہم نیکوکاروں کا ثواب ضائع نہیں کرتے ۔

And thus We established Joseph in the land to settle therein wherever he willed. We touch with Our mercy whom We will, and We do not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.

پس اگر تم اسے لے کر پاس نہ آئے تو میری طرف سے تمہیں کوئی ناپ بھی نہ ملے گا بلکہ تم میرے قریب بھی نہ پھٹکنا ۔

But if you do not bring him to me, no measure will there be [hereafter] for you from me, nor will you approach me."

میرے پیارے بچو! تم جاؤ اور یوسف ( علیہ السلام ) کی اور اس کے بھائی کی پوری طرح تلاش کرو اور اللہ کی رحمت سے نا امید نہ ہو ۔ یقیناً رب کی رحمت سے نا امید وہی ہوتے ہیں جو کافر ہوتے ہیں ۔

O my sons, go and find out about Joseph and his brother and despair not of relief from Allah . Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people."

یہاں تک کہ جب رسول نا امید ہو نے لگے اور وہ ( قوم کے لوگ ) خیال کرنے لگے کہ انہیں جھوٹ کہا گیا ۔ فوراً ہی ہماری مدد ان کے پاس آپہنچی جسے ہم نے چاہا اسے نجات دی گئی ۔ بات یہ ہے کہ ہمارا عذاب گناہ گاروں سے واپس نہیں کیا جاتا ۔

[They continued] until, when the messengers despaired and were certain that they had been denied, there came to them Our victory, and whoever We willed was saved. And Our punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals.

جو اللہ کے عہد ( و پیمان ) کو پورا کرتے ہیں اور قول و قرار کو توڑتے نہیں ۔

Those who fulfill the covenant of Allah and do not break the contract,

اگر ( بالفرض ) کسی قرآن ( آسمانی کتاب ) کے ذریعہ پہاڑ چلا دیے جاتے یا زمین ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر دی جاتی یا مردوں سے باتیں کرا دی جاتیں ( پھر بھی وہ ایمان نہ لاتے ) ، بات یہ ہے کہ سب کام اللہ کے ہاتھ میں ہے ، تو کیا ایمان والوں کو اس بات پر دل جمعی نہیں کہ اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہے تو تمام لوگوں کو ہدایت دے دے ۔ کفار کو تو ان کے کفر کے بدلے ہمیشہ ہی کوئی نہ کوئی سخت سزا پہنچتی رہے گی یا ان کے مکانوں کے قریب نازل ہوتی رہے گی تاوقتیکہ وعدہ الٰہی آپہنچے یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی وعدہ ٔخلافی نہیں کرتا ۔

And if there was any qur'an by which the mountains would be removed or the earth would be broken apart or the dead would be made to speak, [it would be this Qur'an], but to Allah belongs the affair entirely. Then have those who believed not accepted that had Allah willed, He would have guided the people, all of them? And those who disbelieve do not cease to be struck, for what they have done, by calamity - or it will descend near their home - until there comes the promise of Allah . Indeed, Allah does not fail in [His] promise.

جسے بمشکل گھونٹ گھونٹ پئے گا ۔ پھر بھی وہ اسے گلے سے اتار نہ سکے گا اور اسے ہر جگہ سےموت آتی دکھائی دے گی لیکن وہ مرنے والا نہیں پھر اس کے پیچھے بھی سخت عذاب ہے ۔

He will gulp it but will hardly [be able to] swallow it. And death will come to him from everywhere, but he is not to die. And before him is a massive punishment.

میرے ایمان دار والے بندوں سے کہہ دیجئے کہ نمازوں کو قائم رکھیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے انہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے کچھ نہ کچھ پوشیدہ اور ظاہر خرچ کرتے رہیں اس سے پہلے کہ وہ دن آجائے جس میں نہ خرید و فروخت ہوگی نہ دوستی اور محبت ۔

[O Muhammad], tell My servants who have believed to establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, before a Day comes in which there will be no exchange, nor any friendships.

اے ہمارے پروردگار! تو خوب جانتا ہے جو ہم چھپائیں اور جو ظاہر کریں ۔ زمین و آسمان کی کوئی چیز اللہ پر پوشیدہ نہیں ۔

Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare, and nothing is hidden from Allah on the earth or in the heaven.

نا انصافوں کے اعمال سے اللہ کو غافل نہ سمجھ وہ تو انہیں اس دن تک مہلت دیئے ہوئے ہے جس دن آنکھیں پھٹی کی پھٹی رہ جائیں گی ۔

And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].

اب تو اپنے خاندان سمیت اس رات کے کسی حصہ میں چل دے اور آپ ان کے پیچھے رہنا ، اور ( خبردار ) تم میں سے کوئی ( پیچھے ) مڑ کر بھی نہ دیکھے اور جہاں کا تمہیں حکم کیا جا رہا ہے وہاں چلے جانا ۔

So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded."

اللہ تعالٰی سے ڈرو اور مجھے رسوا نہ کرو ۔

And fear Allah and do not disgrace me."

آپ ہرگز اپنی نظریں اس چیز کی طرف نہ دوڑائیں جس سے ہم نے ان میں سے کئی قسم کے لوگوں کو بہرہ مند کر رکھا ہے نہ ان پر آپ افسوس کریں اور مومنوں کے لئے اپنے بازو جھکائے رہیں ۔

Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers

مشرک لوگوں نے کہا اگر اللہ تعالٰی چاہتا تو ہم اور ہمارے باپ دادے اس کے سوا کسی اور کی عبادت ہی نہ کرتے ، نہ اس کے فرمان کے بغیر کسی چیز کو حرام کرتے ۔ یہی فعل ان سے پہلے کے لوگوں کا رہا ۔ تو رسولوں پر تو صرف کھلم کھلا پیغام پہنچا دینا ہے ۔

And those who associate others with Allah say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have worshipped anything other than Him, neither we nor our fathers, nor would we have forbidden anything through other than Him." Thus did those do before them. So is there upon the messengers except [the duty of] clear notification?

اور جس دن ہم ہر امت میں سے گواہ کھڑا کریں گے پھر کافروں کو نہ اجازت دی جائے گی اور نہ ان سے توبہ کرنے کو کہا جائے گا ۔

And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect from every nation a witness. Then it will not be permitted to the disbelievers [to apologize or make excuses], nor will they be asked to appease [ Allah ].

اور جب یہ ظالم عذاب دیکھ لیں گے پھر نہ تو ان سے ہلکا کیا جائے گا اور نہ وہ ڈھیل دیئے جائیں گے ۔

And when those who wronged see the punishment, it will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.

اور اللہ تعالٰی کے عہد کو پورا کرو جب کہ تم آپس میں قول و قرار کرو اور قسموں کو ان کی پختگی کے بعد مت توڑو ، حالانکہ تم اللہ تعالٰی کو اپنا ضامن ٹھہرا چکے ہو تم جو کچھ کرتے ہو اللہ اس کو بخوبی جان رہا ہے ۔

And fulfill the covenant of Allah when you have taken it, [O believers], and do not break oaths after their confirmation while you have made Allah , over you, a witness. Indeed, Allah knows what you do.

اور اس عورت کی طرح نہ ہوجاؤ جس نے اپنا سوت مضبوط کاتنے کے بعد ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کرکے توڑ ڈالا کہ تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس کے مکر کا باعث ٹھہراؤ اس لئے کہ ایک گروہ دوسرے گروہ سے بڑھا چڑھا ہو جائے بات صرف یہی ہے کی اس عہد سے اللہ تمہیں آزما رہا ہے ۔ یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے لئے قیامت کے دن ہر اس چیز کو کھول کر بیان کر دے گا جس میں تم اختلاف کر رہے تھے ۔

And do not be like she who untwisted her spun thread after it was strong [by] taking your oaths as [means of] deceit between you because one community is more plentiful [in number or wealth] than another community. Allah only tries you thereby. And He will surely make clear to you on the Day of Resurrection that over which you used to differ.
