الفاظ ( مَنْ )

بعض لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ تعالیٰ پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں لیکن در حقیقت وہ ایمان والے نہیں ہیں ۔

And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah and the Last Day," but they are not believers.

اور جب تیرے رب نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ میں زمین میں خلیفہ بنانے والا ہوں تو انہوں نے کہا کہ ایسے شخص کو کیوں پیدا کرتا ہے جو زمین میں فساد کرے اور خون بہائے ؟ہم تیری تسبیح اور پاکیزگی بیان کرنے والے ہیں ۔ اللہ تعالٰی نے فرمایا جو میں جانتا ہوں تم نہیں جانتے ۔

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority." They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?" Allah said, "Indeed, I know that which you do not know."

مسلمان ہوں ، یہودی ہوں نصاری ہوں یا صابی ہوں جو کوئی بھی اللہ تعالٰی پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان لائے اور نیک عمل کرے ان کے اجر ان کے رب کے پاس ہیں اور ان پر نہ تو کوئی خوف ہے اور نہ اُداسی ۔

Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

یقیناً جس نے بھی بُرے کام کئے اور اس کی نافرمانیوں نے اسے گھیر لیا وہ ہمیشہ کے لئے جہنمی ہے ۔

Yes, whoever earns evil and his sin has encompassed him - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.

لیکن پھر بھی تم نے آپس میں قتل کیا اور آپس کے ایک فرقے کو جلاوطن بھی کیا اور گناہ اور زیادتی کے کاموں میں ان کے خلاف دوسرے کی طرف داری کی ، ہاں جب وہ قیدی ہو کر تمہارے پاس آئے تو تم نے ان کے فدیے دیئے ، لیکن ان کا نکالنا جو تم پر حرام تھا ( اس کا کچھ خیال نہ کیا ) کیا بعض احکام پر ایمان رکھتے ہو ؟اور بعض کے ساتھ کفر کرتے ہو تم میں سے جو بھی ایسا کرے اس کی سزا اس کے سوا کیا ہو کہ دنیا میں رسوائی اور قیامت کے دن سخت عذاب کی مار ، اور اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے اعمال سے بے خبر نہیں ۔

Then, you are those [same ones who are] killing one another and evicting a party of your people from their homes, cooperating against them in sin and aggression. And if they come to you as captives, you ransom them, although their eviction was forbidden to you. So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

بہت بری ہے وہ چیز جس کے بدلے انہوں نے اپنے آپ کو بیچ ڈالا وہ انکا کفر کرنا ہے ۔ اللہ تعالٰی کی طرف سے نازل شدہ چیز کے ساتھ محض اس بات سے جل کر کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے اپنا فضل اپنے جس بندہ پر چاہا نازل فرمایا اس کے باعث یہ لوگ غضب پر غضب کے مستحق ہو گئے اور ان کافروں کے لیے رسوا کرنے والا عذاب ہے ۔

How wretched is that for which they sold themselves - that they would disbelieve in what Allah has revealed through [their] outrage that Allah would send down His favor upon whom He wills from among His servants. So they returned having [earned] wrath upon wrath. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment.

۔ ( اے نبی! ) آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ جو جبرائیل کا دشمن ہو جس نے آپ کے دل پر پیغام باری تعالٰی اتارا ہے جو پیغام ان کے پاس کی کتاب کی تصدیق کرنے والا اور مومنوں کو ہدایت اور خوشخبری دینے والا ہے ۔

Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is [none but] he who has brought the Qur'an down upon your heart, [O Muhammad], by permission of Allah , confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers."

۔ ( تو اللہ بھی اس کا دشمن ہے ) جو شخص اللہ کا اور اس کے فرشتوں اور اس کے رسولوں کا اور جبرائیل اور میکائیل کا دشمن ہو ، ایسے کافروں کا دشمن خود اللہ ہے ۔

Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.

نہ تو اہل کتاب کے کافر اور نہ مشرکین چاہتے ہیں کہ تم پر تمہارے رب کی کوئی بھلائی نازل ہو ( ان کے اس حسد سے کیا ہوا ) اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے اپنی رحمت خصوصیت سے عطا فرمائے ، اللہ تعالٰی بڑے فضل والا ہے ۔

Neither those who disbelieve from the People of the Scripture nor the polytheists wish that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But Allah selects for His mercy whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

یہ کہتے ہیں کہ جنت میں یہود و نصاریٰ کے سوا اور کوئی نہ جائے گا ، یہ صرف ان کی آرزوئیں ہیں ان سے کہو کہ اگر تم سچے ہو تو کوئی دلیل تو پیش کرو ۔

And they say, "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." That is [merely] their wishful thinking, Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful."

سنو !جو بھی اپنے آپ کو خلوص کے ساتھ اللہ کے سامنے جھکا دے ۔ بیشک اسے اس کا رب پورا بدلہ دے گا ، اس پر نہ تو کوئی خوف ہوگا ، نہ غم اور اداسی ۔

Yes [on the contrary], whoever submits his face in Islam to Allah while being a doer of good will have his reward with his Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

جب ابراہیم نے کہا ، اے پروردگار تو اس جگہ کو امن والا شہر بنا اور یہاں کے باشندوں کو جو اللہ تعالٰی پر اور قیامت کے دن پر ایمان رکھنے والے ہوں پھلوں کی روزیاں دے ۔ اللہ تعالٰی نے فرمایا :میں کافروں کو بھی تھوڑا فائدہ دوں گا ، پھر انہیں آگ کے عذاب کی طرف بے بس کر دوں گا ۔ یہ پہنچنے کی جگہ بُری ہے ۔

And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits - whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." [ Allah ] said. "And whoever disbelieves - I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination."

دین ابراہیمی سے وہ ہی بے رغبتی کرے گا جو محض بیوقوف ہو ، ہم نے تو اسے دنیا میں بھی برگزیدہ کیا تھا اور آخرت میں بھی وہ نیکو کاروں میں سے ہے ۔

And who would be averse to the religion of Abraham except one who makes a fool of himself. And We had chosen him in this world, and indeed he, in the Hereafter, will be among the righteous.

عنقریب نادان لوگ کہیں گے کہ جس قبلہ پر یہ تھے اس سے انہیں کس چیز نے ہٹایا؟ آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ مشرق اور مغرب کا مالک اللہ تعالٰی ہی ہے وہ جسے چاہے سیدھی راہ کی ہدایت کر دے ۔

The foolish among the people will say, "What has turned them away from their qiblah, which they used to face?" Say, "To Allah belongs the east and the west. He guides whom He wills to a straight path."

ہم نے اسی طرح تمہیں عادل امت بنایا ہے تاکہ تم لوگوں پر گواہ ہو جاؤ اور رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) تم پر گواہ ہو جائیں ، جس قبلہ پر تم پہلے تھے اسے ہم نے صرف اس لئے مقرر کیا تھا کہ ہم جان لیں کہ رسول کا سچا تابعدار کون ہے اور کون ہے جو اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل پلٹ جاتا ہے گو یہ کام مشکل ہے ، مگر جنہیں اللہ نے ہدایت دی ہے ( ان پر کوئی مشکل نہیں ) اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے ایمان ضائع نہیں کرے گا اللہ تعالٰی لوگوں کے ساتھ شفقت اور مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

And thus we have made you a just community that you will be witnesses over the people and the Messenger will be a witness over you. And We did not make the qiblah which you used to face except that We might make evident who would follow the Messenger from who would turn back on his heels. And indeed, it is difficult except for those whom Allah has guided. And never would Allah have caused you to lose your faith. Indeed Allah is, to the people, Kind and Merciful.

بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ کے شریک اوروں کو ٹھہرا کر ان سے ایسی محبت رکھتے ہیں ، جیسی محبت اللہ سے ہونی چاہیے اور ایمان والے اللہ کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہوتے ہیں کاش کہ مشرک لوگ جانتے جب کہ اللہ کے عذاب کو دیکھ کر ( جان لیں گے ) کہ تمام طاقت اللہ ہی کو ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سخت عذاب دینے والا ہے ( تو ہرگِز شرک نہ کرتے ) ۔

And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah . But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah . And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.

ساری اچھائی مشرق اور مغرب کی طرف منہ کرنے میں ہی نہیں بلکہ حقیقتًا اچھا وہ شخص ہے جو اللہ تعالٰی پر قیامت کے دن پر فرشتوں پر کتاب اللہ اور نبیوں پر ایمان رکھنے والا ہو جو مال سے محبت کرنے کے باوجود قرابت داروں یتیموں مسکینوں مسافروں اور سوال کرنے والوں کو دے غلاموں کو آزاد کرے نماز کی پابندی اور زکٰوۃ کی ادائیگی کرے جب وعدہ کرے تب اسے پورا کرے تنگدستی دکھ درد اور لڑائی کے وقت صبر کرے یہی سچّے لوگ ہیں اور یہی پرہیزگار ہیں ۔

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous.

پھر جب تم ارکان حج ادا کر چکو تو اللہ تعالٰی کا ذکر کرو جس طرح تم اپنے باپ دادوں کا ذکر کیا کرتے تھے ، بلکہ اس سے بھی زیادہ بعض لوگ وہ بھی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں اے ہمارے رب !ہمیں دنیا میں دے ۔ ایسے لوگوں کا آخرت میں کوئی حصہ نہیں ۔

And when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world," and he will have in the Hereafter no share.

بعض لوگوں کی دنیاوی غرض کی باتیں آپ کو خوش کر دیتی ہیں اور وہ اپنے دل کی باتوں پر اللہ کو گواہ کرتا ہے حالانکہ دراصل وہ زبردست جھگڑالو ہے ۔

And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.

اور بعض لوگ وہ بھی ہیں کہ اللہ تعالٰی کی رضامندی کی طلب میں اپنی جان تک بیچ ڈالتے ہیں اور اللہ تعالٰی اپنے بندوں پر بڑی مہربانی کرنے والا ہے ۔

And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allah . And Allah is kind to [His] servants.

کافروں کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی خوب زینت دار کی گئی ہے ، وہ ایمان والوں سے ہنسی مذاق کرتے ہیں حالانکہ پرہیزگار لوگ قیامت کے دن ان سے اعلیٰ ہونگے ، اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہتا ہے بے حساب روزی دیتا ہے ۔

Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allah are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account.

در اصل لوگ ایک ہی گروہ تھے اللہ تعالٰی نے نبیوں کو خوشخبریاں دینے اور ڈرانے والا بنا کر بھیجا اور ان کے ساتھ سچی کتابیں نازل فرمائیں ، تاکہ لوگوں کے ہر اختلافی امر کا فیصلہ ہو جائے ۔ اور صرف ان ہی لوگوں نے جنہیں کتاب دی گئی تھی ، جو اسے دیئے گئے تھے ، اپنے پاس دلائل آچکنے کے بعد آپس کے بغض و عناد کی وجہ سے اس میں اختلاف کیا اس لئے اللہ پاک نے ایمان والوں کی اس اختلاف میں بھی حق کی طرف اپنی مشیت سے رہبری کی اور اللہ تعالٰی جس کو چاہے سیدھی راہ کی طرف رہبری کرتا ہے ۔

Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

اور جب تم اپنی عورتوں کو طلاق دو اور وہ اپنی عدّت پوری کرلیں تو انہیں ان کے خاوندوں سے نکاح کرنے سے نہ روکو جب کہ وہ آپس میں دستور کے مطابق رضامند ہوں ۔ یہ نصیحت انہیں کی جاتی ہے جنہیں تم میں سے اللہ تعالٰی پر اور قیامت کے دن پر یقین و ایمان ہو اس میں تمہاری بہترین صفائی اور پاکیزگی ہے ۔ اللہ تعالٰی جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے ۔

And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their [former] husbands if they agree among themselves on an acceptable basis. That is instructed to whoever of you believes in Allah and the Last Day. That is better for you and purer, and Allah knows and you know not.

ایسا بھی کوئی ہے جو اللہ تعالٰی کو اچھا قرض دے پس اللہ تعالٰی اسے بہت بڑھا چڑھا کر عطا فرمائے ، اللہ ہی تنگی اور کشادگی کرتا ہے اور تم سب اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے ۔

Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned.

اور انہیں ان کے نبی نے فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالٰی نے طالوت کو تمہارا بادشاہ بنا دیا ہے تو کہنے لگے بھلا اس کی ہم پر حکومت کیسے ہوسکتی ہے؟ اس سے تو بہت زیادہ حقدار بادشاہت کے ہم ہیں ، اس کو تو مالی کشادگی بھی نہیں دی گئی ۔ نبی نے فرمایا سنو ، اللہ تعالٰی نے اسی کو تم پر برگزیدہ کیا ہے اور اسے علمی اور جسمانی برتری بھی عطا فرمائی ہے بات یہ ہے اللہ جسے چاہے اپنا ملک دے ، اللہ تعالٰی کشادگی والا اور علم والا ہے ۔

And their prophet said to them, "Indeed, Allah has sent to you Saul as a king." They said, "How can he have kingship over us while we are more worthy of kingship than him and he has not been given any measure of wealth?" He said, "Indeed, Allah has chosen him over you and has increased him abundantly in knowledge and stature. And Allah gives His sovereignty to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing [in favor] and Knowing."

اللہ تعالٰی ہی معبود برحق ہے جس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں جو زندہ اور سب کا تھامنے والا ہے ، جسے نہ اونگھ آتی ہے نہ نیند ، اس کی ملکیت میں زمین اور آسمانوں کی تمام چیزیں ہیں ۔ کون ہے جو اس کی اجازت کے بغیر اس کے سامنے شفاعت کرسکے ، وہ جانتا ہے جو اس کے سامنے ہے اور جو ان کے پیچھے ہے اور وہ اس کے علم میں سے کسی چیز کا احاطہ نہیں کر سکتے مگر جتنا وہ چاہے ، اس کی کرسی کی وُسعت نے زمین اور آسمان کو گھیر رکھا ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی ان کی حفاظت سے نہ تھکتا ہے اور نہ اُکتاتا ہے وہ تو بہت بلند اور بہت بڑا ہے

Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

وہ جسے چاہے حکمت اور دانائی دیتا ہے اور جو شخص حکمت اور سمجھ دیا جائے وہ بہت ساری بھلائی دیا گیا اور نصیحت صرف عقلمند ہی حاصل کرتے ہیں ۔

He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good. And none will remember except those of understanding.

انہیں ہدایت پر لاکھڑا کرنا تیرے ذمّہ نہیں بلکہ ہدایت اللہ تعالٰی دیتا ہے جسے چاہتا ہے اور تم جو بھلی چیز اللہ کی راہ میں دو گے اس کا فائدہ خود پاؤ گے ۔ تمہیں صرف اللہ کی رضامندی کی طلب کے لئے ہی خرچ کرنا چاہئے تم جو کچھ مال خرچ کرو گے اس کا پورا پورا بدلہ تمہیں دیا جائے گا اور تمہارا حق نہ مارا جائیگا ۔

Not upon you, [O Muhammad], is [responsibility for] their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever good you [believers] spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the countenance of Allah . And whatever you spend of good - it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

آسمانوں اور زمین کی ہرچیز اللہ تعالٰی ہی کی ملکیت ہے ۔ تمہارے دلوں میں جو کچھ ہے اسے تم ظاہر کرو یا چھپاؤ ، اللہ تعالٰی اس کا حساب تم سے لے گا پھر جسے چاہے بخشے جسے چاہے سزا دے اور اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He wills and punish whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.

یقیناً تمہارے لئے عبرت کی نشانی تھی ان دو جماعتوں میں جو گتھ گئی تھیں ، ایک جماعت تو اللہ کی راہ میں لڑ رہی تھی اور دوسرا گروہ کافروں کا تھا وہ انہیں اپنی آنکھوں سے اپنے سے دوگنا دیکھتے تھے اور اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے اپنی مدد سے قوی کرتا ہے یقیناً اس میں آنکھوں والوں کے لئے بڑی عبرت ہے ۔

Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

آپ کہہ دیجئے اے اللہ! اے تمام جہان کے مالک! تو جسے چاہے بادشاہی دے جس سے چاہے سلطنت چھین لے اور تو جسے چاہے عزت دے اور جسے چاہے ذلت دے ، تیرے ہی ہاتھ میں سب بھلائیاں ہیں بیشک تو ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Say, "O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

آپ کہہ دیجئے اے اللہ! اے تمام جہان کے مالک! تو جسے چاہے بادشاہی دے جس سے چاہے سلطنت چھین لے اور تو جسے چاہے عزت دے اور جسے چاہے ذلت دے ، تیرے ہی ہاتھ میں سب بھلائیاں ہیں بیشک تو ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Say, "O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

آپ کہہ دیجئے اے اللہ! اے تمام جہان کے مالک! تو جسے چاہے بادشاہی دے جس سے چاہے سلطنت چھین لے اور تو جسے چاہے عزت دے اور جسے چاہے ذلت دے ، تیرے ہی ہاتھ میں سب بھلائیاں ہیں بیشک تو ہرچیز پر قادر ہے ۔

Say, "O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

تُو ہی رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں لے جاتا ہےتُو ہی بے جان سے جاندار پیدا کرتا ہے اور تُوہی جاندار سے بےجان پیدا کرتا ہے تُو ہی ہے کہ جسے چاہتا ہے بے شمار روزی دیتا ہے ۔

You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account."

پس اسے اس کے پرورگار نے اچھی طرح قبول فرمایا اور اسے بہترین پرورش دی ۔ اس کی خیر خبر لینے والا زکریا ( علیہ السلام ) کو بنایا جب کبھی زکریا ( علیہ السلام ) ان کے حجرے میں جاتے ان کے پاس روزی رکھی ہوئی پاتے وہ پوچھتے اے مریم !یہ روزی تمہارے پاس کہاں سے آئی ؟وہ جواب دیتیں یہ اللہ تعالٰی کے پاس سے ہے ، بیشک اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے بے شمار روزی دے ۔

So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allah . Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account."

مگر جب حضرت عیسیٰ ( علیہ السلام ) نے ان کا کفر محسوس کرلیا تو کہنے لگے اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ میں میری مدد کرنے والا کون کون ہے ؟حواریوں نے جواب دیا کہ ہم اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ کے مددگار ہیں ہم اللہ تعالٰی پر ایمان لائے اور آپ گواہ رہئے کہ ہم تابعدار ہیں ۔

But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah ?" The disciples said," We are supporters for Allah . We have believed in Allah and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].

اور سِوائے تمہارے دین پر چلنے والوں کے اور کسی کا یقین نہ کرو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ بیشک ہدایت تو اللہ ہی کی ہدایت ہے ( اور یہ بھی کہتے ہیں کہ اس بات کا بھی یقین نہ کرو ) کہ کوئی اس جیسا دیا جائے جیسا تم دیئے گئے ہو ، یا یہ کہ یہ تم سے تمہارے رب کے پاس جھگڑا کریں گے آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ فضل تو اللہ تعالٰی ہی کے ہاتھ میں ہے وہ جسے چاہے اسے دے اللہ تعالٰی وسعت والا اور جاننے والا ہے ۔

And do not trust except those who follow your religion." Say, "Indeed, the [true] guidance is the guidance of Allah . [Do you fear] lest someone be given [knowledge] like you were given or that they would [thereby] argue with you before your Lord?" Say, "Indeed, [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah - He grants it to whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Wise."

وہ اپنی رحمت کے ساتھ جسے چاہے مخصوص کر لے اور اللہ تعالٰی بڑے فضل والا ہے ۔

He selects for His mercy whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

بعض اہل کتاب تو ایسے ہیں کہ اگر انہیں تُو خزانے کا امین بنا دے تو بھی وہ تجھے واپس کر دیں اور ان میں سے بعض ایسے بھی ہیں کہ اگر تُو انہیں ایک دینار بھی امانت دے تو تجھے ادا نہ کریں ۔ ہاں یہ اور بات ہے کہ تو اس کے سر پر ہی کھڑا رہے یہ اس لئے کہ انہوں نے کہہ رکھا ہے کہ ہم پر ان جاہلوں ( غیر یہودی ) کے حق کا کوئی گناہ نہیں ، یہ لوگ باوجود جاننے کے اللہ تعالٰی پر جھوٹ کہتے ہیں ۔

And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, "There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it].

کیوں نہیں ( مواخذہ ہوگا ) البتہ جو شخص اپنا قرار پورا کرے اور پرہیزگاری کرے ، تو اللہ تعالٰی بھی ایسے پرہیزگاروں سے محبت کرتا ہے ۔

But yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah - then indeed, Allah loves those who fear Him.

کیا وہ اللہ کے دین کے سوا اور دین کی تلاش میں ہیں؟ حالانکہ تمام آسمانوں والے اور سب زمین والے اللہ تعالٰی ہی کے فرمانبردار ہیں خوشی سے ہوں یا ناخوشی سے ، سب اسی کی طرف لوٹائے جائیں گے ۔

So is it other than the religion of Allah they desire, while to Him have submitted [all] those within the heavens and earth, willingly or by compulsion, and to Him they will be returned?

ان اہلِ کتاب سے کہو کہ تم اللہ تعالٰی کی راہ سے لوگوں کو کیوں روکتے ہو؟ اور اس میں عیب ٹٹولتے ہو ، حالانکہ تم خود شاہد ہو ، اللہ تعالٰی تمہارے اعمال سے بے خبر نہیں ۔

Say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you avert from the way of Allah those who believe, seeking to make it [seem] deviant, while you are witnesses [to the truth]? And Allah is not unaware of what you do."

آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ ہے سب اللہ ہی کا ہے ، وہ جسے چاہے بخشے جسے چاہے عذاب کرے ، اللہ تعالٰی بخشش کرنے والا مہربان ہے ۔

And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

جس حال پر تم ہو اسی پر اللہ ایمان والوں کو نہ چھوڑدے گا جب تک کہ پاک اور ناپاک کو الگ الگ نہ کردے ، اور نہ اللہ تعالٰی ایسا ہے کہ تمہیں غیب سے آگاہ کر دے ، بلکہ اللہ تعالٰی اپنے رسولوں میں سے جس کا چاہے انتخاب کر لیتا ہے ، اس لئے تم اللہ تعالٰی پر اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان رکھو ، اگر تم ایمان لاؤ اور تقویٰ کرو تو تمہارے لئے بڑا بھاری اجر ہے ۔

Allah would not leave the believers in that [state] you are in [presently] until He separates the evil from the good. Nor would Allah reveal to you the unseen. But [instead], Allah chooses of His messengers whom He wills, so believe in Allah and His messengers. And if you believe and fear Him, then for you is a great reward.

اے ہمارے پالنے والے !تو جسے جہنّم میں ڈالے یقیناً تو نے اسے رُسوا کیا ، اور ظالموں کا مددگار کوئی نہیں ۔

Our Lord, indeed whoever You admit to the Fire - You have disgraced him, and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers.

اور اللہ تعالٰی کی عبادت کرو اور اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ کرو اور ماں باپ کے ساتھ سلوک و احسان کرو اور رشتہ داروں سے اور یتیموں سے اور مسکینوں سے اور قرابت دار ہمسایہ سے اور اجنبی ہمسایہ سے اور پہلو کے ساتھی سے اور راہ کے مسافر سے اور ان سے جن کے مالک تمہارے ہاتھ ہیں ، ( غلام کنیز ) یقیناً اللہ تعالٰی تکبّر کرنے والے اور شیخی خوروں کو پسند نہیں فرماتا ۔

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.

کیا آپ نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جو اپنی پاکیزگی اور ستائش خود کرتے ہیں؟ بلکہ اللہ تعالٰی جسے چاہے پاکیزہ کرتا ہے ، کسی پر ایک دھاگے کے برابر ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا ۔

Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allah purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, [even] as much as a thread [inside a date seed].

اس رسول ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کی جو اطاعت کرے اسی نے اللہ تعالٰی کی فرمانبرداری کی اور جو منہ پھیر لے تو ہم نے آپ کو کچھ ان پر نگہبان بنا کر نہیں بھیجا ۔

He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah ; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian.

جو شخص کسی نیکی یا بھلے کام کی سفارش کرے ، اسے بھی اس کا کچھ حصّہ ملے گا اور جو بُرائی اور بدی کی سفارش کرے اس کے لئے بھی اس میں سے ایک حصّہ ہے اور اللہ تعالٰی ہرچیز پر قدرت رکھنے والا ہے ۔

Whoever intercedes for a good cause will have a reward therefrom; and whoever intercedes for an evil cause will have a burden therefrom. And ever is Allah , over all things, a Keeper.

تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے؟ کہ منافقوں کے بارے میں دو گروہ ہو رہے ہو؟ انہیں تو ان کے اعمال کی وجہ سے اللہ تعالٰی نے اوندھا کر دیا ہے ۔ اب کیا تم یہ منصوبے بنا رہے ہو کہ اللہ تعالٰی کے گمراہ کئے ہوؤں کو تم راہ راست پر لا کھڑا کرو جسے اللہ تعالٰی راہ بھُلا دے تُو ہرگز اس کے لئے کوئی راہ نہ پائے گا ۔

What is [the matter] with you [that you are] two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allah has made them fall back [into error and disbelief] for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allah has sent astray? And he whom Allah sends astray - never will you find for him a way [of guidance].
